A decent while ago at this point it crossed my mind that Maelgwyn's pov of his relationship to ( @mabaki 's) Lysyldur would be sickeningly sweet. The man who waited, who cared, who asked Gwyn to marry him.

He loves him so much.

I thought of how Maelgwyn's thoughts would be filled with "He's my forever." The comic idea spiraled from there.

One more thing, the location of this is set in the oasis only Maelgwyn knows about, and only he knows how to get there. He stows away there often to clear his mind. Lysyldur is the only other one who knows about it.
