When the tale is FICTIONAL and is exploring seeing the humanity and connection in another sentient being so different to yourself it’s actually inspired from this very popular trope.

It is a trope that has existed forever and will always exist and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with exploring it in fiction. You don’t have to like it, we all like different things but don’t start a culture of harassment in this fandom, just block the tag it’s the normal thing to do.
