Eddie posts a Tiktok of himself sitting in his car, talking about how difficult coming up with song titles is when the passenger seat door opens and Steve gets in.

Steve looks at Eddie and then at the camera before asking him what he’s doing. Eddie tells him: You were taking too long. Now you gotta wait until I’m done

Steve: No, Ed. C’mon. We gotta go

Eddie: Nope, you gotta wait. What was I saying? Oh right…

Eddie starts talking again but he’s cut off by a knock on the passenger side window. Steve rolls the window down and you hear Robin asks: What are you doing?

Eddie: No

Steve: Going to the grocery store

✈ Okay so I see Steve and you meeting through Dustin. You’re his first cousin (your mother is Dustin’s mum’s sister). Obviously, you’re quite a few years older than your lil cousin, but you grew up together because you lived so close by. 

⭑ You have a younger sister by 4 years and a baby brother. She’s in the same year as Erica and they hang out together. 

✈ One day you were over at your Aunt’s house, helping her clean and keeping an eye on Dustin when he randomly shouted he had to leave. His mother wouldn’t let him go unless you went with him

⭑ So, off you went, trying to keep up with Dustin on your bike; not knowing that your life would soon be thrown in disarray. 

✈ You ended up at Mike Wheeler’s house, where a bunch of Dustin’s friends were freaking out. You were confused, very very confused when a guy around your age (younger or older, you decide) walked through the door. You knew about Steve ‘the Hair’ Harrington; his ex-relationship with Nancy and well, about everything else. Dustin thought of him as a god; he had nearly talked your ear off about the amazing Steve, calling him heroic, etc etc. 

⭑ It’s not as if you hated him, you just had ... high expectations 

 “And whose this?” Steve asked, looking at you. 

     “I’m Dustin’s cousin, y/n.” You kept eye contact with him, wondering why he seemed to be staring you down. 

✈ Dustin wanted you guys to get together as soon as he saw you two standing side by side. And it was like a lightbulb turned on. 

⭑ He, along with the gang, decided to get you two together. Making sure you guys were alone a lot. And that you’d have time together to talk. 

✈ You would tease each other a lot, especially before you got together

⭑ There would definitely be some mutual pining because neither of you thought the other even cared about you

✈ Steve would definitely make sure you always got home safe (also Dustin loved that you stayed at his place so he could see Steve more)

⭑ Everyone but the two of you seeing that you guys were in love

✈ It wasn’t until you guys actually watched Top Gun with the gang that they looked at the two of you with wide eyes. 

  “YOU’RE CAROL AND GOOSE!” Dustin shouted, a wide grin on his face. 

“What we are not-” Steve retorted from his seat, which was on the floor, sitting between your legs while you put little plaits in his hair. 

     “You so are,” Max said, with her eyebrows raised. 

You just shrugged, smirking because Dustin was right. 

   “I shouldn’t even be letting you guys watch this anyway-” Steve moved to get up but was met by a chorus of whines. “Okay okay fine. Just don’t tell your mothers.”

⭑ Robin absolutely adores you and thinks you’re such a great match for Steve. She was a little jealous at first because he was around you a lot, but you would always tell him to invite Robin.

“Hey, maybe Robin wants to come?” 

     “Y/N, I’m taking you on a date.” 

“Okay and?” 

✈ Steve would try to get on with your siblings, but your younger sister is in that stage where she judges everyone. And Steve gets self-conscious:

  “Hey kid, how was school?” Steve leaned against the kitchen bench, his arms crossed over his chest. 

     “What’s it to you?” Your little sister retorted. 

“God kids are so mean these days,” Steve muttered to you when you walked into the room. 

⭑ If you wanted to paint Steve’s nails then he’d be totally fine with it 

     “Y/N, I think pink is more my colour. I’m not a red kinda gal.” 

✈ Also you’re family loves him, and Dustin can’t wait for you guys to get married so he can officially call Steve his family. Oh, and he’s happy that you’ve found someone as well.

✈ And you would spend a lot more time at Dustin’s place, it’s closer than your house to Steve. Although he wouldn’t mind making a journey just to see you
