the really funny thing about "I lack enrichment and now write game analyses to give my brain something challenging to do" is that I actually did write papers on games in college (and anime, I definitely wrote a final paper on an anime once), but after writing said papers I could not go near the games I'd written them on for a least a couple of years, bc I managed to burn out my interest through the stress of trying to write the papers. But! everything I've written just for funsies and posted here just gives me more ideas for things to write, which is fun, but also interesting that apparently my college papers burning me out probably stemmed from the sheer amount of stress I was under rather than me going too deep into a game I loved only to be sick and tired of it afterwards
#the lack of trying to preform ''good college student who should be taken seriously and is smart'' probably helps as well#I was always afraid teachers weren't going to take me seriously and probably caused myself so much more stress than I needed to#also I'm writing analyses on things I'm actually interested in instead of trying to curate the stuff to fit some ''real academia'' rubric#not that I think any of the papers I wrote were bad I'm very proud of them but my approach to them was...hmm...#not great in retrospect I should have been more silly and whimsical and less concerned about being a good student#oracle of lore
