Buuut, hubbs doesn't come home for lunch on Thursday's. It's payday and they don't direct deposit his check so he uses his 30 minutes for lunch to cash his check, pay whatever utility we need paid for the week, grabs a quick lunch, and goes back to work.

Anyway! Lol I used the day to go get him a bday gift since he wouldn't be home. His bday is in like 3 weeks and I like to be prepared lol I also got a bday gift for my little cousins bday next month. And I got the kids each a new pair of shoes to put away for xmas. I want to buy them each a couple outfits too. I'm trying not to buy a ton of toys this year. I'm trying to stick to buying things I know they'll need, things we can do together as a family, or more toys to play with outside. So far each kid mostly has stocking stuffers. Like they each have a book, a movie, and a small toy. Besides those little things they now each have a pair of shoes and they also all have a toy to play with outside (G has a phlat ball, S has a baseball & bat, L has a bowling set). We plan to get each of them a big item too. So for Gavin, I found a mini Nintendo 64 game console with a ton of games already loaded onto it. Sophia we plan to get a bike. And Landon I would like to get either a little basketball hoop or slide. I might just get both cuz I wanna get sophia and Gavin 2 board games each and a craft kit. We mostly have card games so they'll be excited for more games. And then of course like 3 age appropriate toys.

I also am doing their Xmas eve box and plan to do "12 books of Xmas" this year. Which is gonna be too long to explain lol but Im doing it for each kid. Gavin's will go under the big tree but I have 2 teeny Xmas trees. I'm planning to let sophia and Landon pick out decorations and let them decorate their own so that they'll leave our big tree alone lol Gavin will help me decorate the big tree. But I'm gonna put their books under their own tree so they can go up, choose one to open for the night, and read it before bed. The last one that will be opened will be in their Xmas eve box. Which will also have pjs, a movie, movie snacks, "grinch dust", and "reindeer food". Yes, i'm that mom lol really tho, too many book presents is never a bad thing right? They looove reading so it'll be fun to try this year! I'm hoping this will also help with them not wanting to mess with any of the other presents cuz they'll be able to open one book present each day before (well only every night for the 12 days before) Xmas.

I'm also making each one a pair of slippers, a cardigan or sweater, and both boys will be getting a hat. Sophia will probably get a headband or bow... Maybe both lol And maybe a crocheted toy. I still wanna get a couple extras for their stocking but we'll see lol they'll have plenty I'm sure. And thankfully right now most stores around us have layaway right now so I'm hoping to get hubbs on board, which I need to do quickly cuz times running out for that lol cuz if we do that it'll help us pay it off slowly but have everything paid for and (hopefully) wrapped around the 2nd week of December. In past years we set a budget and always blow it and have to drop hundreds of dollars to buy toys for 3 kids right before xmas. Which most end up trashed a couple months later. They have plenty of toys anyway soo 🤷 Or we'll get ideas of what to get them and they sell out because hubbs likes to wait last minute to buy it (like, decides to buy everything in December 🙄) so hopefully he'll be on board.

Sitting here re-reading what I think is the final version fo the email to country dad.  I hate to sound so... passive aggressive, and I hate to basically beg at the end.  But this is the best I can do after many drafts of varying levels of anger and pure frustration and just... I need him to understand what he refuses to HEAR me say.  And i needed to still ask him to buy me an expensive powerchair so really the whole thing was a juggling act of several days worth of writing and rewriting and rewriting and rewriting.  Under the cut because it’s fucking looooong.

When it comes to the article, I appreciate that you thought of me, but I don't think you understand the pain situation I live with still.  That alternating advil/tylenol trick can be effective- for acute pain issues or unexpected injuries.  Short term solutions for short term, acute pain.  It's actually something I've done before after surgeries.  I don't have acute pain.  I have chronic pain.  It never stops.  It never gets better.  I feel like even after all this time, you still don't really understand what I live with every day, Dad.  And it's really frustrating.  I feel like you are disappointed that I'm on opioid painkillers- as though it's some decision I made that I keep up because i want them.  As though it's a choice at all for me- when really I have tried pretty much everything else.  Every time we talk anymore- I end up feeling like I have to defend the one thing in 5+ years that has given me ANY measure of relief, and even at that it's hit and miss.

. So here's the truth, My feet always hurt.  Not a little, not now and then, ALWAYS.  And more than I can even make you understand I think.  From one minute to the next it can feel like my feet are white hot on fire, being smashed by sledgehammers, crushed in a vice.  And then for extra fun, a lot of nights (most these days) they also get supersensitive- to the point that even with only the air touching them it's excruciating.  Do you know that even when I manage to sleep deeply enough to dream- I hurt IN my dreams?  That's where things are at now.  I am so lucky to have a doctor who is even willing to TRY opioid painkillers.  And HE is the one asking if we should be stepping up doses Dad, not me.  And he is not pushing opioids on me, he is doing his best to treat my actual, very real, very debilitating pain.  I regularly moan in my sleep so loudly that I wake myself up. And when the meds don't work well enough, or if I try to push beyond my limits- my whole body freaks out.  I have a whole roster of stomach meds because what happens is- like last week for example- when I continue to go on through the point where I know I should stop and rest- I spend anywhere from 1-3 days with sour stomach, severe nausea.  I can't eat. I end up with vicious muscle spasms in my abdomen or thighs or calves, or my feet- or all of the above.  Because if I push past that line, the nerve damage is so bad that it literally affects my entire body- just to get me to STOP and recover.

. I do my best to try and stay positive, to take care of the rest of my health to the best of my ability- and frankly, if it weren't for the pain, I'd be overall in great shape.  I am not lazy or addicted or unhealthy.  I have pain that is borderline dehumanizing, that is constantly getting worse even while every other part of me gets better.  And I am so frustrated by the feeling that you still don't understand that.  I haven't been up there because it is exhausting for me to make the drive.  i haven't been up there because when I come, I want to be able to do things like... go for a walk with you and Thor, to cook dinner, to go see the cows and the horses and everything else- and I can't.  I can't even manage the 2 hour drive just to get there.  Do you know how frustrating that is?  Do you know how frustrating my whole LIFE is these days?

So I appreciate that you thought of me dad, I do.  But the help I need isn't alternatives that I have already tried that I already know do not work.  Last month my doctor and I had a hard discussion.  My crutches aren't enough anymore, and with Kris moving in with Tom after the wedding, I'm going to have to take up a lot of my own errands that I've been able to rely on her for when I was flaring.  We found a really great powerchair, weatherproof, folds, would fit in the trunk of my car.  Something I can manage to set up and break down on my own.  The battery holds a charge when the chair is off- so if I had a good streak or we found a sweet spot with pain meds, it would still have a charge when I eventually did need it again.  Ultimately I'm hoping to get reimbursed for it by medicare or my supplemental plan.  But as I'm now having to appeal my disability decision altogether (apparently the ancient doctor who asked me NO questions about my pain decided I am no longer disabled) I don't know how long that could be.

. Which brings me here.  I need your help again.  It's a one-off, but a big one. Call it every birthday and xmas gift for the rest of our lives.  And, eventually if I AM able to get reimbursed, I will gladly sign the check directly over to you without even cashing it first.  But with the way my pain is progressing having the chair sooner rather than later would make a huge difference to me.  So I'm swallowing my pride and asking if there's any way (if you can) if you would buy this chair for me:

I was stopped at a red light behind two cars. Both cars started to go and so did I the next thing I knew I had hit the car in front of me. The car in front of me hit the car in front of him. We all pulled over my car isnt to bad but I drive a suburban, the car in front of me was a smaller car so his looked a little worse. Nobody was hurt, and all cars were drivable, so we decided to not call the police we just all exchanged information. After we had finished and they left I immediately called my insurance lady to let her know what happened. I am not super clear on this next part, we have been going back and forth with our insurance since that call and will continue to fight it. When I called the insurance lady she said I wasnt covered. She said that they had received the last payment much later than it was due (not sure how because it was mailed the same time as always) but because of that our insurance had been cancelled. A couple of weeks ago they had chased our check, she said we were reinstated as of yesterday (the day of the accident) but because it was the same day they werent liable to pay the damages. We are going to keep fighting them because I dont think its fair. Even if they decide that they wont pay we can afford to just pay for the damages to the rear end of the car in front of us, because know matter what happened I am at fault for following to close. I was in a car accident 4 days ago. My Mother was the passenger in my car (I was driving). I was on the off ramp getting off the freeway. All cars behind me were stopped. I was stopped waiting to make a right turn. An emergency vehicle was coming in my direction from my left. Therefore, I was waiting for the emergency vehicle to pass. The person behind me (large dodge ram truck I am in an '08 2 door Infiniti coupe) thought I went so he 'gunned it' to get in front of the emergency vehicle. Unfortunately, we had not gone so he pushed my vehicle out in front of the emergency vehicle. Luckily, I was able to turn my car out of the way. I did not hit anyone (no one was in front of me). My Mother and I were both put into a gurney and taken to a local hospital in an ambulance. We both had our seat belts on and suffered whiplash. We were released 5-6 hours later after x-rays, etc. We were both prescribed medicine. My Mother has had 3 brain tumors and has trouble with her speech etc. and any violent startling trauma can get her shaken up pretty badly and confused. I know she hit her head but, she is in pain but not nearly as much as I am. With my Mother's condition I don't know if this kind of thing can have negative effects later on. I know that my neck and back is pretty messed up. It hurts to stand for after 15 minutes or so. My car is pretty messed up and had to be towed. I plan on taking it back to the Infiniti shop to get all new parts. My car has all the upgrades in it so I want it to be taken care of. Am I allowed to take it to the Infiniti dealership or will Geico (the other persons insurance) not allow that, or does it not matter? The police gave the guy that hit us a citation. I have USAA and the other person has Geico. I just want to know exactly what to do in this situation. Since I'm out a car (I work for myself) I have been out (already) a decent amount of money for not being able to meet up with my clients. I spoke to my insurance today and they said that all my medical is covered since I had that already in my plan (without it raising my premium) and that I should get a settlement ON TOP of paying for damages to my car and getting me a rental, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to get taken for a ride. I've heard the horror stories of dealing with insurance companies.
