лера яскевич - месяц (акустическая версия) I think I like the acoustic version of this more, and this is another instance of me researching belarusian music (I had my reasons !! but I’ve fallen off a bit this year) she’s a bit more well known and one of the few artists I’ve actually seen live... bc no one comes where I live (I saw her at a belarusian language music festival in feb 2020)

eyedi - best mistake (k) where!! is!! eyedi!! (jk bace camp probably went bankrupt and that’s why she’s radio silent and hasn’t even used social media since last year) but I!! miss her!! I wasn’t around for when she was on mixnine and I only found her by chance (through gwen @wickymicky in like 2019 I believe) this song is very calming and her music really has a unique touch

alina pash - bitanga what I said abt belarusian music also sort of applies to ukrainian music but I wasn’t quite as underground because there’s just so much more music in general and it’s not all under more or less the same label (mediacube music) or on a handy yandex playlist updating every friday. I do really like her folklore+hiphop style but uh politically she’s not great I’ve heard... :| this song is v fun though

naviband - выдумай they only have like 60 songs and yet they made it here!! woo my most listened artist on spotify my beloveds and some actual belarusian language representation too (the previous songs from belarus were in russian) theyre one of the main reasons I learned russian and belarusian (def not fluent in either esp not the latter) and uhh their harmonies and voices together ...

kazka - пісня сміливих дівчат ppl talk abt different kpop pipelines and I guess in my case ... eastern european pop (music I originally didn’t understand but mostly do now in this case) to kpop I guess. this song used the same sample as a deukae song and they got a lot of hate for it online because people can’t be bothered to fact-check... bothers me still

slimane - viens on s’aime woo french I used to be really into this song early 2017 iirc

the verve - bitter sweet symphony hi again mom... she used to play this cd in the car when we were kids

yeah...that was a playlist I guess. it’s all songs I listen to or have listened to a lot, but it really showed my past as someone who listened a lot to ee music (and other genres) ig and was very skewed towards that. not really representative of my music taste as a whole, I think and hope.
