What if, in the last few minutes of 7x10, we cut to Frank in his office. The camera is focused on him so we don’t know who’s on the couch across from him.

He’s mentioning the last time the person was there, that they were talking about intimacy & their partner and worries about the future (throwback to Athena on the first episode & Bobby in the cruise ship arc), and Frank asks the person how it’s going…

AND THEN IT PANS TO EDDIE IN THE ROOM LOOKING UNCOMFORTABLE AND UPSET AND KIND OF A MESS AND HE SAYS SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF: “I realized I couldn’t commit to Ana or Marisol in the way I thought I should because they’re not what I wanted. I don’t think I like women.” A pause. A breath. “And I think that’s because I’m in love with my best friend.”

I was wondering if they'd go the no label route myself. It does really kind of fit Eddie. I imagined him freaking out because he really does love women but Buck popped up in a dream he had no business popping up in and now Eddie kind of can't stop thinking about it. He tells No One. He's in therapy trying to learn how to give himself a break and a little bit of grace. Buck comes up a lot, naturally, it's Buck, it's not a big deal. Frank says maybe we should Talk about Buck and Eddie says nope no need. He's just Buck. So Frank asks Eddie what it is he's looking for since he's finally figured out Chris doesn't need a new mother. He gives him homework, because of course he does, Eddie has to make a list of what he's looking for in a partner. Next session Eddie gives Frank the list, which he reads out loud. As he reads we see Eddie's thoughts and their images of Buck being all the qualities Frank is reading out loud. Camera gives a close up of Eddie's panicked face and the episode ends with Eddie saying okay maybe they should Talk about Buck. Spiralling ensues the next episode with Eddie telling himself and Frank that he can't possibly be in love with or attracted to Buck, no matter how good Eddie's realized he smells, because he's into women and huh Bucks a man. Duh. Frank explains it's not actually that uncommon to be attracted to one specific gender your whole life but meet someone of the same gender and you just click. For whatever reason that person becomes your person and their gender has nothing to do with it. Naturally Eddie smarts off and says you're telling me I'm Bucksexual? And Frank smiles and says well in a way yes.

And that's the closest we get to a label. Also Buck will never let him live down Bucksexual, damnit. 😃

Eddie could just be Bucksexual. Aren't we all? :D LOL!

Seriously though, I'm not sure what route they'll take. They could label him 'demisexual' as well, since that is the closest to 'bucksexual' I think. Or he could just be 'gay' and suffer some severe comphet. I don't know.

We'll just have to wait and see! I'm so excited for him though! No matter what happens with Buck, Eddie will finally be free!
