please tell me severen has hidden in aunt meg’s storm cellar before. please tell me aunt meg has run into the hooker clan before, maybe when she was jo’s age. please tell me aunt meg doesn’t approve of this vampire stalking her beloved niece BUT she’s too maternal to let him hide out the day in her cellar without a pillow and a quilt. please please PLEASE share any crumbs of info you’ve got on these two. thank you!!

It's like you read my mind ❤️ The first time Jo tells Aunt Meg about her...ahem...paranormal situationship, she thinks that for sure her aunt is going to think she's actually lost her marbles for real this time!!! And SHOCKINGLY to Jo, Aunt Meg barely bats an eye.

"Jo I've been around a long, long time. I've met things roaming our side of our that would make your head spin." OR SOMETHING ALONG THOSE LINES. This is the same lady who calls Bill a “Human Barometer” like…she knows something we don’t about the world around her and this definitely not her first encounter with the unexplained. She's not surprised by the existence of the Hookers, and considering the areas they tend to roam over the years it's entirely possible that maybe Aunt Meg happened to come face to face with Jesse and Diamondback when she was a young woman (I BEG EVERYONE TO PLEASE GO LOOK UP LOIS SMITH YOUNG...AUNT MEG WAS BREAKING HEARTS BACK IN THE DAY I JUST KNOW IT ❤️) and while she didn't witness any vampiric actions or know that they were vampires, she recalls seeing them enter the diner together and thinking that there was something strangely captivating about them...but that there was also something that felt off. Even after so many years she'd definitely recognize them if she met them now. As for her opinions on Severen, well, let's just say she's definitely not his biggest fan after learning about some of the things he's done in regards to her niece. She's 100% a supporter of The Extreme's, all the way, however she's not afraid of Severen at all. Not even a little bit! Honestly though that shouldn't come as a surprise to anymore, this is AUNT MEG we're talking about, the lady who wanted to drive her car to the hospital after her house literally collapsed around her due to a tornado (alas her car was...what was it Rabbit said? Wrapped around a tree?) there's no way she'd let herself be scared OR intimidated by Severen.

And Severen would absolutely want to try and make a good impression. After all, this is the woman who (and this is important to my AU as Jo's childhood isn't explained in the film so I take creative liberties here and I'll explain a lot more in depth within the fic...so stay tuned for that eventually hehe) raised his Jo to be the woman she is today...She means EVERYTHING to Jo, and he knows if he were to hurt her...intentionally or accidentally, well that'd totally ruin his chances with her wouldn’t it? He’d absolutely want to make a good impression and…getting caught in her cellar to hide from the daylight because he lost track of time is absolutely something he’d do, but Aunt Meg’s not heartless, she’s still got a sweet spot for that face (thanks Bill) so the pillow and blanket are a kindness she won’t deprive him of…Especially because he went through the trouble of bringing her such nice flowers.

After all, if he can get Aunt Meg’s approval then that only brings him one step closer to getting Jo to see that they’re meant for each other!
