Seriously, it's wild that Jorah's mad that Ned even considered slave trading to be a bad thing, that he even cared about "lice-ridden poachers".
Jorah. Mister Mormont, ser. Everyone in Westeros considers slave trading to be a bad thing. It is literally called an abomination by the Faith of the Seven (right along with incest), and by followers of the old gods too. Where the hell did you pick up your morals?
jorah is so insane having beef with ned for charging him with slave trading WHEN HE WAS LITERALLY SLAVE TRADING

Had to share the OP's tags:
#also if you think it's related to not caring about / wanting to punish criminals - nope he's all gung ho about slaves in essos too!#even giving khal drogo advice on the best places to get the most profit for selling children into sex slavery#it's frankly bizarre that jorah has this terrible morality. genuinely wild#if he were ironborn maybe... but even ironborn object to slavery (and make excuses that thralldom isn't *really* slavery)#but it's certainly not a bear island thing and definitely not a mormont thing as all his relatives are ashamed by his actions#so wtaf where the hell did he pick that up? why tf is he so unrepentant about it? no fuckin' idea seriously#asoiaf#asoiaf meta#valyrianscrolls#jorah mormont#is a terrible terrible person#beyond all logic for it#ned stark#slavery#also *hmm* that the andal religion considers both incest and slavery to be abominations#wonder where they got that. who could they have possibly encountered back in essos to make those bad things. hmm hmm hmm 🤔#queue and me we're in this together now
