He's from Leeds, so north, right? I tried other people but I picked him because we share I interests (easier to pick topic) and when I started learning English North accent and Scottish were the most difficult for me to understand so I decided to challenge myself and adapt that one. It's sound really cool too! The only time I need to control myself is grammar (because my teacher is ugh) and phonetics so ain't that bad. I love accents! I adore accents in Bob!
“always fuck opinions responsibly” HAHHAHA I love that. Tunes I can recommend is this artist/band on YouTube: grandson. My all time favourite: The Hives. The artist I discovered thanks to Levi’s commercial: Hanni El Khatib. Also, have you ever did that voice challenge? I would love to hear your accent!
mmmm that’s up for debate ahaha, but yeah generally speaking it seems to be regarded kind of as being in the north by the masses (even though im a good 100 miles and then some north of there myself - i am in fact, quite literally, north of The Wall). but leeds is cool!! and an interesting accent too, cause you get the “eh” instead of “ee” right?? whereas up here we’re all about that ‘ee’ sound. everything is ‘ee’. even you’re ‘ee’, sometimes!! (you get some ‘yeh’s and you get some ‘yee’s and that’s the beauty of language diversity)
it’s really really cool that you chose to study the accents you have done, they’re so rich and lovely and surprisingly very often overlooked! grammar is always a pain in the ass, but you seem to be doing great with it!! and aah yes, the BoB accents are wonderful! im not quite so well versed in american accents beyond the basics but!! id love to learn more about them in time!
also!! i will make sure to check out those tunes omg, i know (and enjoy!) the hives already (however! this is only like, two of their songs that im talking about here so i’ll definitely have to explore them further), and the others sound wonderful too! i personally haven’t done the voice challenge yet, though i could definitely give it a go next time im home alone! im afraid my accent isnt particularly notable though since i converge and diverge like there’s no tomorrow, which has kind of diluted the geordie in me and left me with a fairly neutral accent instead ahaha (though the dialect remains as strong as ever, you can pry my ‘avna’s and ‘wey aye’s from my cold dead hands)
