I think the fact that the Twitter account is still active says a LOT in this situation. I think that there not being any news of cancellations of shows says a LOT about the situation.

I think a majority of people who are into Sleep Token haven’t been super into a band like this in the past, LET ALONE a metal band! Where they do things very differently!

Paramore JUST did the same thing to their Instagram last month. (And yes people freaked out over that too even tho they HAVE DONE THAT BEFORE). (I know they aren’t metal, but I was just giving a ‘not pop or folk’ related artist).

Bands treat Instagram as a bulletin board a lot of the time, when a new era comes along they wipe it clean so that fans can see just current stuff.

Sleep Token hasn’t done this before, but probably are now cause it’s their first real new ‘era’.

i know that with everything going on it looks pretty not good, but i don’t think we’ve seen the end of sleep token.

they’ve been using the phrase ‘nothing lasts forever’ since the very beginning, since they put out one.

iii has deleted socials before- if he comes back, great! if he decides to stay gone, good for him. (i don’t remember the context of him deleting last time but he came back so there’s that to keep in mind!)

plus- the band said ‘new opportunities to gather will be revealed in january’ i cannot imagine they’d abandon who-knows-how-many shows. we’re also midway through january with no announcement of shows. i personally think that, at the very least, the band account going blank is planned. show announcements and a new era are coming. lots of bands i follow pull this shit before a new album cycle!

whatever happens, happens. we got a beautiful catalogue of music if this is it, but i don’t think they’re done. i’d rather not catastrophize, i’m hoping all of this is just really poor timing (not on the band’s part, just that it’s come right after a potential -i’ve seen conflicting reports- of personal info)

#edit; I can’t see his insta now but I could for a LONG WHILE yesterday while everyone was freaking out #it just had the locked logo that private accounts have and said something like ‘check back later’#also!! I’m wondering if all of yesterdays stuff was just rumors now and iii cleared his insta a day too early and then went to sleep #woke up and went 😬😬😬😬 uh oh #I’ve only seen word of… text (word of mouth doesn’t make since in written situations) and no links or proof whatsoever #I do think he’s got a stalker or two (💀👿) but idk man…. him ‘deleteing’ the iii account for that doesn’t make since #he’s deleted his PERSONAL accounts over it #but the main?? he stopped replying in there to lots of things #I also think if there is a real stalker that they are actually gonna take care of it #this isn’t a boy band guys. they are grown adults who can take legal action against stalkers #sorry for reblogging your post about it Exie!! I just…. uhhh. know you haha and I don’t have the spoons to make my own post on this kinda #thing….
