Headcanons for Captain Maze

Captain Maze is a caffeine addict. Zey is to blame.

Alpha ARCs used to take turns babysitting/checking on Boba Fett when their template was either dealing with Kaminoans or off-world. Thus Maze was often assigned the duty since he and Boba shared a love for books.

Maze started to prematurely grey at some point around the end of the Clone Wars.

Maze went on infrequent missions during the Clone Wars, which was when he left Aven in charge of his normal duties

Maze always tries to keep tabs on all his batchmates, regardless if they’re under deep cover or not. 

Maze was voluntold to be the liaison between the Special Operations Brigade and ARC troopers by Alpha-17 or Captain Fordo, since he he was least likely to be murdered or maimed by Ordo.

Maze has a betting pool on how often Fordo’s gunship crashes.

Arligan Zey is the closest thing Maze has ever had to a father, which was why he defied Order 66 and rescued Zey.

Maze planned on going into a political career after the war.

Maze has some form of autism, those being marked as defective.

Maze resents Ordo somewhat for the fact that the Nulls always comeback while the odds are always more slim for rather he’ll see any of his Alpha brothers again.

Clone Force 99 may deny answering to anybody, but in truth, they actually answer to Maze.

Maze resents both Sull and Spar. Although, he’s a bit more understanding with Sull’s position, it’s mostly Spar he resents due to deserting before the war even started and for leading the Mandalorians against their very own brothers.

Spar: *Staring down at the floor in a forlorn haze of sleep deprivation* “Would it be wrong to throw myself off the highest platform into the ocean?”

Muzzle: “Wait a second, hold on, we graduated arc training 2 years ago! We’re grown troopers! Plus Fett’s dead We don’t go to training anymore!”

Everyone: *Nods and murmurs in agreement before going back to sleep.”

*The alpha barracks then erupted into a flurry of chaos on a level Kamino had never seen before. Somewhere else the nulls laugh, it was there idea to mess up everyone’s clocks*

Cursed things in the barracks pt.3 Alpha ARC’s edition:

Cluster of caroling cans, they were a gift from 17’s weird kids, Nate thinks their ugly, Trantos thinks 17’s kids need a phycological evaluation, Muzzle thinks they add character and color to the barracks, 17 knows their ugly as sin but he’s proud of them.

2. Skeleton grate from when they went through a punk/grunge/emo/goth phase as cadets and started painting on things to be rebellious.

3. Emergency blunt, because you just never know.

4. These cursed fucking things that Spar made when he picked up knitting.

5. These shits Stec made because fuck it why not. He almost fell and broke his ass the first time he used them, now he’s scared of them.

6. Piercings duck, from when 17 was still practicing piercings and learning how to do them himself.

7. This lighter for when Aven and Tavo feel the need to commit a little arson, as a treat.

8. Just what the picture says. Yes they stole it from Jangos apartment.

9. Roach councilor because they don’t really have anyone to go and complain to. (The roach is dead.)

10. It’s absolutely space bear mace, the kind of stuff that will blind somebody, sometimes they spray it at the nulls and when they get too close they use the lighter to make it into a flame thrower.

If anyone is familiar with the Transformers Wreckers, specifically The Sins of/ Last stand of the wreckers comics then you understand what I’m talking about, but I would love to see a type of story that is like the whole premise of the Wreckers but with the Alpha class arcs instead.

The only one missing from the list is “Nate/Jangotat aka 98” simply because too much about him conflicts with what we already know of the Alphas. His existence is recognized as an inconsistency and there has been some decision to retcon him down to CT trained to be an ARC but wasn’t an Alpha.
