Courting Gifts Part 1~ BNHA/MHA Omegaverse headcanon
Starring: (aged up college or older) Midoriya, Bakugo, and Shinso x omega reader G: Fluff, some humor, sfw The guys are alphas for this part as that is just how I picture these three~ Tw: none for this one! W: 1,510 Masterlist~
This timid alpha does not understand courting gifts
He gets the tradition, however he doesn't understand why he can't just…buy you and gift you only All Might Merch
It takes several of his friends sitting him down for him to understand that not everyone's dream nest would be their boyfriend's mentor
He is so red and shy when he comes to you about it with a bouquet of lilies and some non-All Might-themed blankets of your favorite colors
Despite the initial All Might gifts from the time you started courting he is constantly getting little treats and putting them in your locker or if you catch him handing them over as he babbles about how pretty you are and how much he loves you (shaking the entire time)
Not huge on non-All Might name brands. It's not that he doesn’t care or isn’t willing to spend the money he just doesn’t really know anything about them and is more likely to get small things that remind him of you.
Baby loves to get cute couple things, matching pajamas, especially with mugs to match each other with sappy nicknames or quotes or designs on them
Clumsily wrapped hand picked bouquets from when he was on mission in another part of the country (yes he stayed up the night before to pick them in the moonlight)
Once he figures out what are your favorite foods he is going to bug the daylights out of Kacchan to teach him them. May even do something embarrassing to get him to agree to it. Don’t worry Kirishima assigned himself as a referee to be there so no one would get hurt
Once he sees you buy any of his own merch expect to be gifted every single thing that you comment you like when he’s reviewing the merch prototypes.
It's embarrassing for him, and he does whimper he feels silly gifting them to you, but they make you happy.
Seeing you curled up cuddling plushie him on his couch wearing one of his actual hoodies with “hoodie” written on the front, when he comes home from a mission? Oh his bawling woke you up, he couldn’t help it he was so touched
Bakugo
This man? Oh he started with the courting gifts before you were even courting
No of course you didn’t notice he’s smooth af
Its cold out “Idiot tt, you really are helpless” shoves handwarmers into your hands.
Somehow procures a blanket from his den when on mission and wraps you in it while on stake out on the roof…in another town…and yes it makes you smell just like his heady alpha scent
Your stomach grumbles? Suddenly theres a snack in your hand/pocket
You yawned? Oh my somehow you took a nap on his shoulder. And no he didn’t get violent with anyone after for teasing him. He merely nodded at your thanks and went about the next task…yes Kirishima has photos of him looking lovingly at you. And Yes he may have scented you and taken a nap breathing in your scent.
You don’t recall when but several of those blankets of his ended up in your nest and he loves to mention that he’s missing them but not to you, no he enjoys seeing you blush and if you try to bring it up or apologize or return them to him he finds some other pressing matter and tells you to talk to him on it later…later never comes
When he asks to court you? Oh he makes you dinner picnic by the river, somehow gets you into some clothes of his or a jacket of his, and after dinner brings out some nice drinks for you and asks permission (not for you to be his oh no) if he could be yours.
Yes he gives you a necklace or earring if you say yes he may have even made them
He is not stingy, will leave things for your nest everywhere. Constantly wants to scent you and things for you, expects you to scent him too and better be thorough about it
He tells the others to shut up they wish they were him if they ever try to tease him for it. He is so proud of your scent
This man is all for a clean house but gods having your blankets that you had him scent all over does not count as mess, those are all possible nest spots in his mind and he respects and protects them
He bought guest blankets because he buys you all the plushies and blankets and pillows you want for your nests and does not ever want someone to use those if they visit even if youre okay with it, those are your nest and he will protect your safe place with his life
Not huge on designer presents, but thats because he’s looking at the quality of a product. He will spend 1,000 on a blanket if he thinks the quality is worth it and it would make you happy. But 1,000 on a bookbag/bag you may only use three or four times and looks like one villains blow will ruin it? Nope
He is big on learning to make things, so expect him to build you furniture, or get Best Jeanist to help him so he can make you the worlds cutest and one of a kind bags and accessories (he makes some subtle couple bags his bookbag matches your bookbag/handbag)
Flowers are always on your dinning table and they always look perfect and fresh its his pride
Calm exterior, panicking internally. His first courting gifts are subtle like Bakugo but a bit more intentionally evident
“You were cold yes? Here use mine.” gives you his gloves and chuckles shyly “Dont worry I have more at home you use them”
Brings you little cat themed things because he hopes they’ll remind you of him. A little kitty keychain, some cat shaped onigiri in your favorite flavor with a little “You did well make sure you rest” on your work desk
Once you're courting he gives you everything, he would give you his soul if he could
Flowers? Everytime you meet up until you warn him theres no more space for more flowers
Plushies, bet lets go pick some out together. Turns the brightest shade of red when you compare them to him or if you ask him to scent them. A mess trying to hide his face in his hands or jacket collar.
Surprise presents are a thing too, they don’t happen often but when the thought occurs he will send presents to your job (even if you work together) to surprise you. Is gummy smiling when you talk about them later, he loves seeing how you melt with these
Loves having his scent on you as much if not more than Bakugo, though he is much more calm and lowkey about it
Would offer you his clothes and things to wear but will not just…put them on you or wrap you in them. He’s very soft and gentle when he offers.
Absolutely melts to see you in his oversized clothes, theyre huge on him-they swim on you and it ruins him. He's both horny, melting, shy, and falling in love all over again.
He bakes
You get a little bento box of baked goods (Eri is thrilled because she got to taste test everything) every so often
Makes you cake or pie or bread whatever you prefer for special events or home dates
He also likes to treat you to homemade ice cream, just leaves it in your work or home freezer with a little kitten on it for you to know its a gift from him
Another one that likes to make his gifts
They are a bit clumsy but he likes to make little clay figurines for you whenever he goes away on a long mission or has to go undercover and can't see you
You could have a whole shelf of the tiny watcher cats hes made (some of them are themed after your friends or dates you both have gone on like the grey cat with a tiny sakura on its head for when you both went to see them bloom)
This comes with the unexpected side gift of one or two cats from Eri she begged him to teach her to make for you (she also made him some so technically you both have couples cats made by Eri)
Shinso would love to give you designer things and he does. From brands that he knows or if he thinks you will like them~ Especially smaller brand concept artist stuff.
Was given the idea from a job commission and thus has recorded his voice for you once while drunk to use as your morning alarm, ringtone for him, and alert message (yes it's him meowing thats the only meme one the others are scalding hot and yes he did record his alpha purr/growl)

No one should have found out that she was an omega, least of all the crown prince of Yuei.
But Izuku Midoriya was smart.
With two other lives on the line, Lia made the choice of accepting the deal given by the prince - her submission for his secrecy.
It should have been an easy arrangement, if not for the group of homicidal maniacs that had been using omegas as a bartering coin in order to take over the kingdom and the prince’s penchant for wanting more than she was willing to give.
Fate was just one big joke, was it not?
Chapter Four - don't know if i'm gonna make it out alive
a/n: this was actually posted to ao3 a few months ago but i never posted here.... so hm... sorry? ( november !)
does anyone even follow this? maybe? i hope you like this chapter and here's to more hopefully!
7018 words
His smile was sharp, predatory, white teeth showing in a way that shouldn’t have brought her arousal soaring as it did. But by then the omega in her was already excited at the prospect of an alpha, this alpha, chasing her. Catching her. Claiming her. There was excitement about proving herself to him, about showing just how good she was at running and hiding. She would make it hell for him, and she would enjoy every second of it.
“Okay.” Her voice was breathy, and she wanted to chastise herself for such a dumb answer, but really, her mind was already running a mile a minute trying to think of ways to make him lose her trail. Lia didn’t have a scent, and that would play a good part in helping her, but taking into account his own was hidden, just the sharp scent of alpha clinging to his skin… Well, he did have almost as much advantage as she had.
A sharp look was sent her way, one that had her turning towards the woods, not really waiting for an answer from him before starting to run. The terrain was unfamiliar but at the same time familiar, after all, they had spent a long time in woods similar to these. The bumps on the ground, the foliage scattered around that could easily lead to a slip. There were raised roots and hidden holes. But as much as it was against her in a sense, it was also a help with the thick cover of trees and winding path. If Lia could control her breath and her steps, there would be no reason for him to catch her, would there be?
So she just had to be smart, avoid the crisp leaves and fallen branches, be sure to stay just one step ahead of him.
Which would be easier said than done.
She could hear his footsteps when he began to run after her, the crackle of lightning that preluded the use of his quirk. There was some kind of excitement brewing inside of her, an anticipation that came from her knowing that there would be no way for her to outrun him, not if he was going to use his quirk. Not when her own quirk didn’t allow for her to be as quick as he was.
Oh, but Lia could make it harder for him. The light of the moon was enough so there were differences in the shadows, so they weren’t just a mass of darkness that she couldn’t control. Pale fingers touched the trees closest to her, knocked branches over so they would be on his path.
And still, against her better judgment, a sound of surprise broke through her throat and out her lips, breathing suddenly becoming heavier just by the knowledge that the alpha was indeed chasing after her.
There was laughter behind her, footsteps that foretold of crunched leaves and snapped branches. It dawned on her then that Izuku wasn’t trying to be subtle, he wasn’t trying to sneak up on her. The prince was doing his best to warn her of his presence, as if she wasn’t aware enough of it, as if she didn’t wish for his scent when her mind was between that awake and dream-like state. There were instincts inside of her that clamored for his attention, that warred with the logical part of herself that knew she was nothing but a pacing fancy.
Izuku wanted her to know that he was close, that he was more than capable of catching up to her, that he was just giving her time. Giving her hope that she would be able to evade him, for however long it took for his patience to wane and for the game to end.
It was not a question if he could catch her, find her in the dark woods without a sense of smell. Between the two of them, Lia had experience behind her belt, but Izuky had training. He was faster, stronger and knew the woods that surrounded the castle he was living in. Was there any kind of contest? No, there wasn’t.
And really, was there supposed to even be one? It had been obvious that he had planned this beforehand, that this kind of game was something that had been on his mind even before he set towards her window. But she had annoyed him, so maybe he wasn’t being as lenient as he had wanted to be. Or maybe she was supposed to have such a bad hand from the get-go.
The dress she normally wore around the day was light as it was almost summertime, temperatures slowly getting warmer from the mild ones from spring. But it was a dress, skirts flowy and long and getting stuck in random branches, making Lia grit her teeth as she did quick work of untangling herself. Still, it was giving him an advantage that she didn’t want to. A couple more minutes and Lia found a clearing, which in a normal stroll would have been quite nice, taking into account the more trees there were the best shot she had? It was fucking stupid.
“Found you.”
Small body whirled around in. the direction of the voice, green eyes widening as Izuku stood right at the edge of the woods, his clothing rumpled from his running, but definitively more put together than Lia felt.
Eyes narrowed at him, a step back being given even if he hadn’t moved an inch from his place. The air was tense, charged, they both were getting ready to move the moment the other did. It was obvious in the way that Izuku was holding himself, muscles tensed, just a trigger away from engaging and tackling her to the ground.
Lia flexed her fingers, her heartbeat was loud in her own ears, deafening her to the sounds of his own breathing. His pupils had swallowed the color of his eyes, turning forest green into a mirror of the trees around them. So dark, almost pitch black.
She had to wonder how her own looked to him, did she look as wild as he did? Ready to throw hands, teeth bared and ready to snap around his neck. Would he let her? Would he allow her teeth to draw blood or would he turn it around on her?
Electricity crackled between the two of them, not visible in the air but felt between the connection that she would never admit was between the two of them.
His nostrils flared, both bodies tensed. Muscles locking into place before suddenly they were released.
Lia turned on her heels, the same moment that Izuku moved towards her, small body bolting towards the side so his fingers barely missed her arm. A laugh was given as she escaped, once against setting into the forest, but now there were no doubts that he was hot in pursuit.
Were there any before?
His growl rocked through her body, tingling until it collected in her center, creating liquid heat in its wake. Pale fingers touched shadows that were just in reach, power weaving through them to pull branches into his path, easily splintered by his hands.
The sound of electricity crackling had her quickening her pace, but it was of no use, and though she wanted to claim that it was a ground-level root that took her footing, the truth was that Izuku had simply caught up with his longer legs. A shout was given as they tumbled onto the ground, a soft patch that was just beneath one of the trees, her head being protected from the brunt of the shock by his hand.
Her dress hiked up to her thighs, his bigger body fitting easily between her parted legs, keeping them open while he took advantage of her confusion to grab both wrists in one hand, pining her so effectively, that when Lia finally got her bearings together, she could only stare at him.
And there it was again, the same smile that Izuku had at the start of the hunt. Big, sharp, self-satisfied.
Lia was winded, chest falling and rising, body seemingly over-sensitive from the adrenaline, his touch so hot on her skin, she felt like there would be marks left.
He wasn’t speaking, only staring at her with that smile, eyes dark but almost shining in the darkness of the forest, leaving her even more winded, aware that besides his trousers and her undergarments, there was nothing between their lower parts. The warmth and following flush of her body weren’t all because of the run.
Her pink tongue swiped over her lips, his eyes tracking the movement in a way that had her body lighting up from the inside. She was too aware of him, his proximity, his weight on her. The fabric of his thighs chafed around her soft inner thighs as he pressed closer, allowing her legs to wrap around his hips. She should be trying to get him away from her, fighting, pushing him away. Instead, she was locking their positions.
The hand on his neck moved up, curled around her brown hair, tugged at the strands until her neck was bared to his attention. He still wasn’t talking but he was now moving, lips hot, so fucking hot against her skin. There was a hint of his tongue, as if he was tasting her skin before his teeth came out to play, scrapping over the soft expanse. Heart thrumming like hummingbird wings on her chest, mouth open and a soft sound escaping that had him groaning into her neck.
Not just a sound no, Lia had moaned. Sensitive, overwhelmed, almost trembling in his arms as he sucked and nibbled down to the crook of her neck. Her rationale was fractured by the adrenaline and him, instincts in the forefront, recognizing the alpha on top of her as someone she wanted. Fingers curled into fists, wishing to hold but unable to as he was still holding them captive.
And then he reached the bend of her neck, just before her shoulders began. The moan that left her was broken, body arching as his teeth sank down, not enough to break the skin, just shy of the scent gland that was inactive due to the concoction but still sensitive. Enough that she was melting underneath him, thighs quivering as her legs wrapped tighter around him, brought him closer. As if the prince himself wasn’t doing the same, grinding against her clothed center as he growled, tongue laving the spot that he had bitten.
Lia should have tried to get away the moment that she felt his teeth, should be upset that he had thought of leaving a mark behind, one that sober her would have to think of how to hide. Instead, she was moaning, back arching, breath heavy on her lungs as he kept grinding against her. He was hard, obvious even through the leather pants he was wearing, and the friction was heavenly against her. Even more when he angled his lips, just enough that whenever he pushed his hips against her covered cunt, the hardness of him pressed against her clit, sending tingles of pleasure and slowly but surely making her drenched.
She only noticed how hard her nipples were when his free hand moved to tug at them through the fabric of her dress. He wasn’t even undressing her and she was panting with need, instincts completely obscuring any qualms she would have if she was in her right mind. And for someone so usually quick to taunt and tease her, Izuku was silent, breath as labored as hers, eyes so dark that she thought they could envelop her.
A moan was given as his head traveled down, mouth attaching to one of her nipples and sucking hard, sensation dulled by her dress, but it wasn’t like she didn’t enjoy it nonetheless. He gave a growl against her chest before repeating the same sucking motion on the other, twin peaks of wetness on her garment making her nipples stand out even further.
And then suddenly, she felt the pressure in her wrists leave, hands instantaneously shooting to his hair as he moved further south. It wasn’t fair that his little growls and groans had her clenching, feeling so fucking empty. It was even less fair when he proceeded to hook his arms around her thighs, opening them wide, raising her hips from the ground.
Lia blinked before registering the heavy poofs of breaths against her cunt, shiver wracking through her body even before he nosed at the wetness already collected on the fabric.
There were no doubts about what he was planning to do, but it was still a surprise when he used his teeth to snap the fabric, fangs seemingly bigger than they were before. And yet, he was careful not to nick her skin, which was completely lost on her when his hot breath was puffing against her wet cunt. How could she focus on anything besides the throbbing of her clit? On the way her insides clenched and her thighs quivered in anticipation for when his mouth would finally fall on her.
And fuck, when it did, it brought out a startled sound out of her, not loud enough to be considered a scream, but oh so fucking close to it.
His tongue was hot and wet in a different way than her lower lips were, one that had her back arching as he dragged it out between the seam, intent on reaching her clit and wrapping his lips around the little nub. Izuku didn’t suck at first, instead, he lapped at it until he felt her relax in his grasp, lulled by the constant stream of pleasure. And only then, did he press his lips further, tighter, making a chocked out scream leave her lips.
The pleasure was greater than she thought it would be, but oh so fucking good. In a way that had her trashing on his hold, not really understanding if she wanted to get closer or pull away at the amount of stimulation. Neither situation would be tolerated by him, grip so tight around her that she could only move her upper body, arch her back, open her mouth so moans left until she was a shivering mess beneath him.
Between the way he licked her folds and teasingly dipped his tongue inside and the way he paid attention to her clit, Lia was lost in the whirlwind of pleasure that he gave her. At his pace and will, not her own.
White sparkled behind the lids that she didn’t even know she had closed, orgasm ripping through her body without any kind of warning. It hadn’t been a slow ascent like before, it was like one second there was pleasure but not strong enough and then there was just too much. Overflowing and too much and she was still twitching and Izuku was not stopping.
Her fingers found his hair, tugged on it, tried to get his mouth away from her sensitive cunt. But he seemed unwilling to part, green eyes meeting her own, if it could be considered green at all by then. Pupils blown wide, set on her face as he sucked on her clit, two fingers thrusting inside of her, the stretch pleasurable instead of painful due to her deep arousal.
Lia didn’t even know if there was a second orgasm or if it had been a continuation of the first, body trembling and breath so harsh it seemed to reverberate between her ears. It took her at least a minute to come down from the high, to finally be aware of the ground beneath, of the way his hands were rubbing her thighs. Her fingers were still clenched on his hair, arms moving up as he raised from his position, as if understanding that she was back down on earth.
There were still no words, just dark green eyes and a smile that even in the moonlight looked shiny. There was a beat, and then two, and her fuzzy brain finally understood just why they would look like that. And if she hadn’t been flushed before, she certainly was now.
Lia finally let go of his hair, covered her eyes with her arm “Wipe your face.” her voice sounded weird to her own ears, between breathy and high, colored by embarrassment and pleasure.
“No thank you?” his voice was amused, still with that low quality that sent a shiver down her spine, made her want to rock her hips against him. Maybe if she didn’t still feel out of sorts, floaty and out of her body, maybe then she would have. It was sort of a weird feeling to have, and she was trying really hard not to think about it, at least not yet.
Why would she want to wonder about her reasons for wanting him closer? It was best left as little snippets of a mind lost to pleasure, a mind that couldn’t help but allow for such closeness. She wouldn’t have any agency in it if she could leave it to instinct.
Izuku hummed at her unwillingness to rise to his teasing bait, and Lia could feel his fingers digging into the soft skin of her thighs, joining them before he moved her legs over one of his shoulders. The position was strange and it did make her move her arm, just enough that she could peer at him.
He was looking at her, as if he was waiting for that exact moment, for her to finally gaze back at him. And yet, she was unable to face him while her mind was still too deepset in that pleasurable fog. She looked down, which in reality was a mistake in itself.
Izuku held his cock in a lazy grip, and the second that Lia was looking at it, he gave a few cursory pumps, as if he was showing off. She had seen it before, back on the first night, the one where he had cornered her into a deal with him. And like on that night, for whatever reason that she was not going to try and name, she was taken by the sight of it.
There were still no words, only her breathing evening out, still deep in her chest but not as ragged. His own mirroring hers, a steady rise and fall of his chest that she could feel with her legs over her shoulder. His hands gripped her hips, moving her body so it was in front of him. She half expected him to enter her, finally fill her up with his thickness.
When he didn’t, Lia was confused, but just for a few seconds, until she felt the way that his length felt between her lower lips, heavy and hot against her own feverish skin. Her thighs were forced together, caging him in the space between them, giving him a nice plush tightness around his cock. He wasn’t going to fuck her, was he? Not if he was using her thighs.
She didn’t want to think of the way disappointment filled her body.
Izuku pulled his hips back, cock dragging against her skin, making her shiver, and when he thrust back, there was a surprised moan slipping her lips as the head of his cock met her sensitive clit. There was a hum of satisfaction, the green-haired man holding her legs together as he repeated his actions, a leisurely pace that was slowly becoming quicker.
It was nice, not as nice as his mouth had been, as his fingers a few nights back, but it still brought that wet warmth to her lower belly, still made her skin tingle. And Lia couldn’t take her eyes from his face, from the way his lips were parted and wet from her own juices, the groans leaving them and the twitches of pleasure that flushed his cheeks.
He was beautiful, even more when he clenched his teeth, fingers tight on their grip on her legs as he quickened his pace even further. There would be fingertip-shaped marks on her pale skin, a stark reminder of what he had done, a claim on her body that he shouldn’t do with his scent.
And there it was, with each of his thrusts, angled in the perfect way to stimulate her as much as it did him, Lia could feel the build-up of her orgasm coming. Not as strong as before, but still there, a gradual crescendo that still didn’t make her eyes leave his face.
His moan had her clenching around nothing, had her wondering if he would be as vocal when his cock was inside of her. It was difficult to rationalize the fact that she shouldn’t want it. That she shouldn’t want the alpha fucking her when all she could feel was him. When all she could hear were the sounds of pleasure that he made while using her body.
His eyes closed, lines appearing on his forehead as he groaned, and she wondered if that was a sign of how close he was to his own peak. Lia was close herself, but probably not like him. Would that mean that he would leave her unsatisfied again… Could he even leave her unsatisfied when the first thing he had done was bring out her own completion?
Her thighs trembled, and the growl that he released, chest rumbling against her legs, made her shiver. She was panting in time with him, her eyes slipping down to her closed thighs, the head of his cock coming into view after a particular deep trust. When the omega looked back to his face, his green eyes were on hers. It was deliberate, the way that he tilted his head to the side, gaze still on her, lips pressing against her calf.
She should have expected the parting of his mouth still against her body, but Lia was distracted by the sudden shift in the air. Moonclover became less effective the more it was used, timing between the need for a new dose decreasing. And it was obvious the prince abused it. His scent, which had only held the weight of alpha with it under its influence, was suddenly much heavier with pine and leather. And that fucking scent of lightning.
His teeth sank into her, hard enough to threaten to draw blood.
There was pain, and a shot of arousal that combined with everything sent her over the edge. The second orgasm wasn’t as strong as the first, but it still left her breathless, eyes downcast and catching the moment that he reached his own. Cum spurted from his tip, high enough to stain the fabric bunched under her breasts, but most of it fell on her stomach.
No words once more. But this time she wasn’t the only one panting, both of their breathing heavy in the night air. His scent was still potent from arousal and it was making her dizzy, needy in a way, or at least that would be the excuse she gave for the reason she reached for him.
Izuku only moved when her legs were safely on the ground, allowing her fingers to clutch onto the fabric of his shirt. Lia still held enough self-awareness to not search for more, and he might have noticed she was holding herself back by the way his fingers wrapped around her wrists, thumb rubbing over the sensitive skin near her scent glands.
Her reaction seemed to be automatic when it came to him, a soft purr rolling from her chest. His smile was radiant, and in a bid to keep herself detached from the whole ordeal, Lia rolled her eyes.
“Do not comment.” the cum on her stomach was cooling, slightly drying in the night air. It was a strange feeling that she certainly didn’t like. One hand let go of his shirt, and he allowed her to take it away, long fingers relaxing their hold. The brunette swept her hand over her stomach, a flick of it throwing most of the semen collected on it to the forest ground, though there were still a couple of drops clinging to her digits.
“Are you going to taste it?” his words were teasing, making Lia look back up at him.
Her eyes narrowed, it wasn’t that it was badly natured. But the fact was that now that the pleasure was slowly seeping from her body, reality was starting to rear its head. “No.” it wasn’t that she was quicker than Izuku, but he didn’t expect her to clean her hand on his face before wiggling herself free of his weight.
Back on her feet, she righted her clothes to his laughter. The prince was now sitting on his haunches, cock still soft and out of his pants. His scent clung to her clothes, foliage to her hair, maybe a stick or two. She would need a bath when she went back to her room, wouldn’t she? The omega inside of her whined at the thought of it going away.
Lia shut it down.
“You’re a brat.” Izuku was still laughing as he rose to his feet, she turned away as he put himself back on his pants, rolling her eyes at the alpha.
“Yeah, you keep saying that.” and apparently not being upset at all over it. But she was going to be corteous and not comment on it. Maybe he should learn a thing or two from her. Looking around, she frowned, there weren’t any lights from what she could see. Did they get lost in the woods? “Do you know the way back?”
“Of course.” she waited for him to continue, tell her which way to go. When he didn’t, Lia gave him a pointed look to which Izuku only smiled.
“Whatever.” a roll of her eyes, direction picked at random. “Stay there for all I care.”
Two steps was all she could take, not because her legs still felt heavy from the two orgasms, but because it was how long it took for him to pick her up, another laugh being given at her sound of distress.
“What the fuck?”
“You also have a nasty mouth.” his comment had her looking towards the sky, mostly so she didn’t roll her eyes yet again at him.
“I can walk.” Lia shook her head at him, expecting him to put her down.
It was Izuku they were talking about, he tightened his grip on her. “Yeah, but you can’t fly.” her surprised look was met with a wide grin, her arms wrapping tight around his neck as he jumped up.
It was far enough that they were above the canopy of trees, the castle now easily seen from their position. And though she expected them to drop even after his words, the fact was that they were floating in midair. Lia knew better than to look down, and yet she still did, dizziness sudden as she noticed how far below the ground really was.
“Have I told you, you’re insane?” his laughter didn’t stop until he dropped her off.
****
The activity on the castle had begun to increase, by the time Lia had reached the library, she had already been run over by two maids and had stared at a male servant for a good two-minute span as she watched him dust the chandelier that hung on a barely used corridor. She didn’t understand why until much later on the day, as she shared a light lunch with Nezu, her boss back in his animal form and eating the cold-cut sandwiches with gusto.
“The king’s birthday is nearing.” he commented lightly, almost airily, one small leg crossing over the other “You’re new so of course you wouldn’t know of it. It’s a grand affair that is used to make new alliances.”
“How?” she couldn’t see how a party could hold any kind of political scheming, at least not from a deep standpoint. After all, wasn’t it more of a hedonistic kind of viewpoint? Celebrate life and all that. But she also didn’t really understand court politics and didn’t need to. Her job was to tend the library and the archives, not really rub elbows with the elite.
The prince was an outlier, not the norm. One that had been forced on her, mind you.
“There’s going to be a grand ball, many dignitaries from allied and undecided nations will come. It’s a great place to forge new alliances and further the ones already there.” a thoughtful hum. “The Todoroki family have been allies for a long while, more on the neutral side as King Enji did not really see eye to eye with our dear King, but his heir is much more lenient in his views. He and the prince have a good friendship going.”
“Him and Prince Bakugo?” somehow Lia couldn’t really see it, hadn’t the explosive blond said something about the other prince avoiding him? Not like Lia had been paying attention to his words when she had been too afraid of him burning down the library.
Nezu laughed, loud and boisterous and the brunette almost wanted to shush him, she did blush in embarrassment “No, not Prince Katsuki, his brother. They met once when King Yagi went to the Todoroki’s kingdom and they stroke a very good friendship, Katsuki is probably quite envious of it only due to the fact that he lost once or twice to Prince Shoto. He has never been good with defeat.”
“I don’t think he’s good with victory either.” He was a gloater, she had seen it while strolling the grounds, the sounds of his explosions catching her eye and allowing her to see just how he celebrated his victories. Even in silly pretend battles with his friends.
Another full-bodied laugh from Nezu “There’s nothing tame about the second in line, doesn’t matter the situation. But he’s an honest man, with a big heart that he hides behind sneers and callous words. Don’t take what he says to heart, he rarely means any of it.”
“Sounds like you have experience settling ruffled feathers from his behavior.”
“I have taught both princes when they were small, so I know how they act.” his eyes settled on her with an intensity that was unsettling before he lightened up once more. “All of the castle staff is invited to the party, you know? Guards will be on a short-duty roster so they can enjoy the festivities. It’s a nice time for everyone, not only the higher levels of society.”
“That’s nice.” and she was being truthful. There wouldn’t be many Kings allowing the rabble to mix in with nobility, especially not on such an important day as the king’s own birthday.
“There is also a festival that will be held in the town, though that one lasts for three days. Us servants still don’t miss the ball for the King’s anniversary, but you should check it out.”
“I’ll speak with Ochako and Mina.” that same heavy stare as if he knew something but was keeping it silent because he didn’t want to pry. Had she and the prince been caught already? Would that mean that she was going to get thrown out, secret released to the masses?
“I believe you will have plenty of options for company.” there was a smile hidden by a teacup, Lia was sure of it.
****
“I’ll be really busy for the next week or so.” Lia turned to Izuku with a curious look, the book she had been reaching for forgotten while halfway out of the shelf.
“Shouldn’t you already be busy? You’re the crown prince.” since he had found out that she was an omega, he had spent quite a lot of time at the library. Even before, the prince had been quite a fixture of both the library and the Hall of Records. Didn’t he have studies and meetings with important figures to think about? Papers that he shouldn’t be seeing in a public space?
“Yeah, but things get really crazy by this time.” he shrugged his shoulders, quill being dipped in his ink pot but not used yet. “Kacchan oversees the military part of the whole ordeal, rosters of guards, and the fighting competition that takes part during the festival.”
Uh, Lia would have thought that the blonde wasn’t more than a hot-headed guy. Turned out he could actually actively help. Taking into account Izuku was also much more than what seemed underneath the surface… Maybe she should have expected it.
He continued “I have to oversee the whole staff and preparations, though. Add to that the fact that I can’t get out of meeting with every single representative that comes to father’s anniversary? I’ll be lucky to get a couple of hours of sleep every night.”
Though it was obviously hard, he was still smiling. It was fond in a way that left her feeling a sort of strange warmness. “That sounds tiring, Your Highness.” a quirk of her lips, they were alone in the library, so she could easily tease him. “Guess you won’t have time to slip into other person’s rooms.”
“No, but that’s what alcoves are for, are they not?” his head was propped on his hand, laughter deep in his voice. Lia couldn’t help the flush that spread over her cheeks, turning to actually give the book she had left on the shelf her full attention.
It was better than letting him see just how affected his words made her look, though, by the way he laughed, she was pretty sure that he knew regardless. “I pity the maids that will have to deal with a frustrated prince, Your Highness.”
“Plural, uh. Your opinion of me is really low, is it not?”
Turning back to him, book in her hands and close to being a projectile, Lia decided to simply settle for a glare. “Your Highness, do you need me to remind you?” should she start with the break and entering, the obvious disregard for her privacy, the coercion, should she remind him of how he literally made prey out of her by chasing her through the woods just two days prior?
Fuck, she had been trying not to think of that. Every time her thoughts wandered to that night, she couldn’t forget the sight of his flushed face and parted lips, the growl that she felt. And it left her slick, uncomfortable until she could excuse herself to clean it.
It didn’t help her that his eyes were reminding her too in that moment, darker than normal, intense and almost suffocating in how sharp they were.
Izuku hadn’t made her prey in that moment, she had always been such when it concerned the crown prince, was she not? Prey that wasn’t fearful of being eaten, rather, by the way arousal rose upon her, looking forward to it.
She still held the shape of his teeth on her calf.
“Point taken.” a breath escaped her when he looked down, as if under his scrutiny she couldn’t do it correctly. Her hand gripped the book tighter, lips pressing together before she forced herself to relax.
Yet, she didn’t know what to say, so Lia kept quiet. Strangely, Izuku didn’t engage her in further conversation, leaving her feeling somewhat bereft. But there was work to do and she already let the crown prince have too much real estate of her thoughts, so instead of apologizing without knowing the reason for the need to do so, the brunette moved to another set of shelves.
The book she had been holding was left with him, a collection of scholarly investigations on prine alphas.
Hopefully it was enough of an olive branch.
****
Prince Shoto Todoroki was a strange alpha. Even Izuku with all his joviality and smiles commandeered a room with the full-blown presence only an alpha could have. But Shoto with his bicolored hair and cool mismatched eyes had such an uncommon lack of presence that, honestly, left Lia baffled. Most alphas couldn’t help but make their presence known in some sort of way, it was instinct, a way to show how strong they were.
As demure as the green-haired alpha seemed, when he was inside a room he made it so his whole being was known. His words were just a tad too bright, his smell wafting off of him and into the surrounding area. It wasn’t the punch in the face that Katsuki’s alpha attitude was, but it was still more than the Todoroki heir seemed to elicit. His scent was subdued, still clearly alpha, but controlled in a way that Lia had never seen. He smelled clear and cool, like freshly fallen snow and dewdrops, but there was also an aftertaste of smoke.
The prince had arrived two days ago and had made it a thing to hang around the library, seemingly unbothered by Katsuki trying to corner him into sparring. All he ever did was read or look out of the window in a pensive sort of state. He was strange, really strange.
In a way, it seemed like while she had gotten rid of the presence of an alpha, she had gotten another to replace it. Izuku had been busy for the better part of the week, just as he had told her. Running from place to place as he tried to juggle the duties of being the heir of the crown and the logistics of his father’s anniversary ball. Lia really didn’t miss him, she truly didn’t. It was just that she had gotten so used to him and his scent that it was jarring to go without it. That’s all it was, not some sort of attachment to the green-haired alpha.
A sigh passed through her lips, hands trailing over the spines of the books in front of her before she picked the one she had been looking for. It was old, leather cover worn out by time and use, pages already yellowing at the edges. Old myths and fairy tales. Her mother used to read the softest stories to her when she was a child, so it had some sort of nostalgia connected with it. Alongside the tug of grief that always followed memories of her family.
When she turned to get her seat at the small desk tucked in a corner that oversaw most of the library, she was met by a mismatched stare that did not waver. A blink of green eyes, head moving from side to side to see if there was anyone near that could have caught his attention. It was the first time that Shoto had actually looked at her, not a passing glance as it usually was, but the full brunt of his gaze.
“Do you need anything, Your Highness?” her voice was unsure, book clasped against her chest as she waited for him to tell her something, anything.
It was kind of unnerving to have him looking at her with such intensity. Instead of answering, the prince moved his head, looking once again out of the window. Confusion washed over her before Lia shook her head and continued towards the desk.
Most of the afternoon was spent in relative silence, there were one or two scholars that entered the library, but mostly it was a very slow day. Marishka, the governess for one of the town’s merchants, had just left the room when Shoto approached the desk.
He looked calm and collected, not a hair out of place and an almost bored expression on his face. Or maybe it was pure and sheer indifference. She couldn’t really tell with him. “Good afternoon, Your Highness, do you need any help?”
It was the first time that he had approached her, so coupled with that look from before, it was turning out to be a day of firsts between them, was it not? Lia still didn’t know how to react to the strange alpha, though, especially when he was keen in just looking at her instead of actually speaking.
“Your Highness?” she tried again, hoping that he would say something. Suddenly, it became really worrying the fact that there wasn’t anyone else in the library. They were still open, but taking into account how slow the day had been? She didn’t know if they would be interrupted if the prince thought about murdering her.
“You’re strange.”
Lia blinked at the prince, taken back by his words. She was the strange one? Was he really calling her strange when he barely said anything only to then come up to her to what? Insult her? Was it even an insult? It felt like just an observation when said in that even voice of his.
“Why?”
“You have no scent.” the intensity of his mismatched eyes reminded her of Izuku, that same steadfast gaze that did not waver. Attention fully on her and bringing her awareness of the situation to extreme heights.
Lia tensed, green eyes focused on his face. She had heard that the crown prince and the Todoroki heir were good friends, but the green-haired alpha wouldn’t have shared her condition with his friend, would he?
No. His blackmail would be mute if he had shared it already. “I know, Your Highness. I’m a beta, we have no scents.”
Shoto hummed, head tilting to the side. And Lia had thought only Izuky could make her feel like prey? Like a little bunny struck still with fear at the sight of a wolf’s jaws? Apparently, the two alphas had quite a lot in common.
His scent picked in strength, eyes not leaving her face, what was he trying to see? Lia couldn’t help the small scrunch of her nose, not because his scent was unpleasant - far from it. But because it was just that strong.
Suddenly it was back to that unassuming presence of before, the words he gave her as he left the library made her blood run cold, wide green eyes following him.
“Betas can’t pick up on scents either.”

Courting an alpha
“Did you hear that Bakugou Katsuki is courting someone?”
The question hits Izuku like lightning, shocking his fingers and causing the needle he’s got pinched in them to fall. He slowly bends to retrieve it from the ground, listening intently to the conversation next to him.
“He is? How do you know?” asks Uraraka, casually peering in his direction. Their eyes meet for a moment and he knows his closest friend will get to the bottom of things.
“He’s preparing a gift!” Ashido informs her excitedly. “It’s supposed to be personal, too. He must really like the omega.”
Izuku locates the needle and sits up, a frown marring his features. It’s nothing compared to what he’s feeling, just a mask settling into place. The real pain is happening in his chest. His heart aches like Katsuki has reached in, wrapped his fingers around it, and squeezed.
“A-ah! I wasn’t aware he had his eye on anyone!” Uraraka exclaims. “Are you sure?!”
“Trust me, it’s happening.” Ashido grins and shoots her a wink. “He traded a few rabbits and got some quality nest materials. You know how serious it is if he’s picking out that sort of thing for an omega.”
Izuku vaguely acknowledges Uraraka’s sympathetic look. The back of his neck is hot and the flush is quickly spreading to his face—he hates this feeling, like he’s slowly burning from the inside out, embarrassment mixing with crippling disappointment.
“Every alpha is so different,” Chiyo declares from where she’s sitting on the other side of the room. “My mate wove me a crown of flowers.”
Ashido sighs. “That sounds lovely!”
“He certainly took the easy road,” Chiyo comments dryly. “Buying nest materials is a sign of a more doting alpha. If only mine had been so thoughtful…”
“How about you, Midoriya? You’re an alpha.” Ashido leans towards him, her eyebrows wiggling conspiratorially. “Are you working on a courting gift for someone?”
He looks down to where Katsuki’s red scarf lays in his lap. It’s the blond’s favorite, and Izuku has spent the last few hours trying to mend a tear. Laughing quietly, he wonders if that’s not exactly what he’s been doing—preparing courting gifts. His scarf, his jacket, his old pair of boots… Izuku has been taking care of Katsuki for years.
Shaking his head, he replies softly, “I don’t have an omega I’m interested in.”
They change targets after that, interrogating Kirishima who’s been trying his best to turn invisible. Izuku’s too distracted to focus, his thoughts occupied with a certain blonde-haired alpha and his potential mate.
He knew this was going to happen eventually. Alphas and omegas courted, married and produced children. And while he could do the same with someone else—or even a beta—the only person Izuku has ever wanted was Katsuki. Now it’s time for him to face the truth, however bitter.
Without excusing himself, Izuku puts on his gloves and stumbles out of the tent and into the white expanse of snow. It’s cold today, but clear. The top layer of snow is frozen and his boots crunch loudly as he treads through it. After a few minutes, he spots Katsuki where he always is this time of day: near the horses, checking them over.
With as much noise as he’s making, Izuku can’t go for stealth even if he wanted to, but when those familiar reds flick to him, suddenly he wishes he could hide.
“What are you up to?” Katsuki asks, eyes immediately narrowing in suspicion.
Understanding Izuku has always come easily to him… though Izuku is doing a poor job of hiding his distress right now. Anyone could figure out that something is troubling him. He’s lucky his pheromones can’t escape the thick layers he has on or there’d be no pretending at all.
He has an important question for Katsuki, one that will change both of their lives forever. But he doesn’t know how to ask the other alpha if he’s decided to court someone.
“Just checking on you,” he answers instead, worrying his lower lip with his teeth. Hand shaking, Izuku offers him the scarf he just finished repairing. “Here you go.”
Without hesitation, Katsuki bends to expose his neck. A full three seconds pass where Izuku stares at him in confusion, his pulse leaping.
“Hands are full. Put it on for me,” Katsuki demands.
Dragging his eyes from the spot where Katsuki’s mate will mark him someday, Izuku carefully places the scarf on him, mourning how his gloves make it impossible to feel the other man’s skin.
This might be his last chance to do so if the rumors are true.
“Um… Kacchan.”
“What is it?” The blonde straightens, gaze sharp.
The question sits heavy on his tongue. He’s reluctant to ask because he doesn't want to hear the answer. Once he does that’ll mean the end—no more stolen kisses while out riding, no more sneaking into each other’s tents at night, no more quiet mornings together before the rest of the village wakes… Izuku knows that once Katsuki takes a mate, their love affair is over.
And yet, Izuku didn’t run away when he heard the rumor. No, he went to find Katsuki immediately, determined to get an answer from him. Because even if knowing the truth will hurt, it’s better than pretending.
Izuku is no coward.
“Why are you upset?” Katsuki presses when the silence lasts a little too long. Then he cups Izuku’s face in his hands, squeezing his cheeks affectionately.
Izuku blurts it out. “Are you courting someone?”
“What the hell—”
“Ashido said that you traded for some quality fabric, and that you were preparing a gift, and that you were getting ready to court someone, and…” Izuku rushes it all out in one breath. Inhaling sharply, he braces himself. “Kacchan, is any of that true? Are you looking for a mate?”
Usually when Izuku starts mumbling, Katsuki is the first to tell him to knock it off. For once, he remains quiet. It’s as close to a ‘yes’ as Izuku can expect.
“You are…” The words come out strangled, the rest of that thought dying. Izuku’s worst fears have been confirmed with just a look—Katsuki’s mouth hardens into a firm line, a grim furrow pinching his brow.
“You weren’t supposed to know,” he states, expression darkening.
And that’s all it takes for Izuku’s vision to blur with tears.
“Oi! What the—what are you doing? Why are you crying?!” Katsuki is near frantic as he tilts Izuku’s face up to see him better. The sunlight dazzles his eyes as it hits it, and Katsuki quickly shifts to block the rays.
“Who are they? Who’s the o-omega?” Izuku gasps, his stutter from his childhood slipping out. He could care less about it. All he wants to know is who’s managed to capture Katsuki’s attention after Izuku has held it for so long. “Who’s so s-special that you’ll buy them n-nesting materials?”
“Nesting materials? Omega? What are you—?!” Katsuki is upset too, and it takes him a few seconds to figure it out. When he does, Izuku can feel it. His grip on Izuku’s cheeks slacken. “Idiot, those things are for you!”
“Me?” It comes out incredulous. “Why would I need anything like that? I can’t make a nest…”
“It’s not—for god’s sake!” Katsuki releases him and digs into the front of his cloak. A moment later, he pulls out a thick cap, lined with sheep’s wool. Unceremoniously, he places it on Izuku’s head. “It was for this.”
Izuku touches the cap hesitantly. It’s warm and soft. “What… what’s this, Kacchan?”
He’s confused—not about the object or its purpose. He’s confused about what it means when Katsuki gives it to him. Because it sounds almost like—
“It’s not done yet, I’ve been having a time keeping that lining sewn in.” Katsuki grins at him. “It’s a courting gift, dummy. For you.”
Izuku touches it, staring at him. “But we’re both alphas. You’re supposed to find an omega… or a beta. Anyone but another alpha.”
“Yeah, we’re both alphas.” Katsuki knocks their foreheads together gently. “And we’re future mates. If you’ll have me.”
Izuku’s world is flipping on its head, shifting under his feet and leaving him unsure of where he’s standing. But as he clings to Katsuki, it finally rights itself. He reaches to Katsuki’s hands, lacing their fingers together.
“Of course I’ll have you.” Izuku breathes. “We’ll be together for the rest of our lives.”
And so a courtship that had begun the first time they laid eyes on each other—and all the years of sharing gifts and affection in between—finally becomes official.

Todoroki’s heat had finally passed after three long days. He’d spent them either with Kirishima buried deep inside him or wrapped in his muscular arms, their bodies entwined in moments of quiet warmth. It had been all too easy to lose himself in the haze of desire, letting the weight of everything else fade away in a blur of passion and closeness. But now, as the intense flush of heat left his system, his mind was painfully clear.
Embarrassment hit him hard. What was I thinking? He asked himself repeatedly, and almost felt lightheaded as he recalled the desperation—the way he’d thrown himself at you like some lovesick teenager in his first heat. It was reckless and stupid. Worse yet, he’d let himself imagine all sorts of salacious fantasies involving you, Kirishima, and himself throughout his heat. It was utterly inappropriate. The clarity felt almost unbearable as shame surged through him, dense and stifling. If it were just about embarrassing himself, he could eventually deal with it. But the memories of that day went beyond the dizzy haze of horniness, beyond the scent of peaches and yours warm touch against his skin. He also remembered Kirishima’s raw rage and the deep red of your blood covering your face and the hospital floor. Shame gnawed at him from within, leaving in its wake buds of guilt, which blossomed as images of you walking around with a crooked nose and split lips flooded his mind.
Thankfully, it had been Kirishima who picked him up from the hospital that day. The red-haired hero had been too considerate to press him on what had happened; his only priority was taking care of him. Yet, as Todoroki had laid beside Kirishima on the third and final night of his heat, he knew that by morning, he’d have to face the rest of the pack. And neither Katsuki nor Izuku would spare him the questions he dreaded.
Morning came too soon. By the time Todoroki left his room, Kirishima was already gone and it was still early, he knew no one had left for work yet. He rushed to the bathroom to shower, hoping the hot water might somehow calm his nerves or at least give him a moment to gather his thoughts. For the first time in his life, he almost wished his heat had lasted longer—anything to delay the inevitable, awkward conversation but no amount of scalding water could cleanse the mess of emotions swirling inside him. After a dozen of minutes, he resigned himself, finished his shower and got ready for the day.
The moment he emerged from the steamy bathroom, Izuku was waiting, worry pooling in his green eyes and his rough, scarred hand instinctively lifted to cup Todoroki’s face. His touch was warm and steady, grounding him and quieting the chaos within him. Despite the awkwardness of this whole situation, seeing Izuku made his heart flutter, and he smiled softly in his mate’s arms.
“Shoto,” Izuku murmured, his voice filled with genuine concern. “I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I wanted to be there, but I was tied up at the agency and..." He hesitated for a moment before continuing in a fast ramble, "Just... if you need anything, I’m here for you. We’re all here for you. I already called your agency and told them you’ll need a few more days off. Kirishima told us a little about what happened, and I swear, we’ll track down that doctor. We’ll make sure—”
“He doesn’t need you babbling his damn ears, Deku.” Katsuki’s voice cut through Izuku’s rambling. He stood in the doorway, arms crossed, his gaze locked on Todoroki—not unkind, but piercing.. “He gets it. He’s not helpless, you know.”
Izuku shot Katsuki a small frown but remained unfazed by his blunt interruption. Beneath the sharp words, Todoroki could sense Katsuki’s genuine concern. The familiar edge in Katsuki’s tone was oddly comforting, and he knew that Katsuki’s refusal to coddle him was just his way of showing respect and consideration.
As they moved to the dining table, where Kirishima was already eating breakfast, Todoroki took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves and took his seat around the table. Izuku quickly joined him, sitting beside him and reaching over to place a comforting hand on his knee. Todoroki felt a rush of gratitude for the quiet support, and even Katsuki, despite his sharp gaze, gave him space to speak without pushing him.
.
.
.
“So... you were the one who threw yourself at her?” Izuku’s voice was hesitant, his doe eyes blinked and his brows furrowed in confusion as he tried to process Todoroki’s recounting of the events.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Katsuki scoffed in disbelief.
Todoroki’s face flushed deeply with embarrassment, his cheeks burning so much that he thought he might actually burst into flames. This was a lot more mortifying than he’d imagined. Izuku had started off so supportive, leaning in to comfort him, but as Todoroki went on and explained the situation, he watched Izuku’s expression shift from understanding to confusion, and finally to what felt like... judgment. Slowly, Izuku had began to scoot away from him, casting side glances full of disapproval and making it impossible for Todoroki to meet his eyes. Katsuki was more disappointment than anything else. Unbelievable, he muttered to himself. To him, this was beyond stupid—something a too-hormonal high schooler might do and definitely something Todoroki should’ve known better. But it was Kirishima’s silence that unnerved Todoroki the most. The red haired kept his gaze down, uncharacteristically quiet, before abruptly standing up and storming toward the door.
“I need to go apologize!” Kirishima’s voice was laced with urgency, tinged with panic, but Bakugo grabbed his arm and halted him.
“You can’t go back to that hospital, Eijirou,” Katsuki said firmly, tightening his grip. “What are you gonna do, knock on the door and ask for the doctor you beat up? You’ll only make things worse.”
“Kacchan’s right. She’s probably scared right now, and she’ll run the other way if she sees you again,” Izuku added, stepping in front of Kirishima and blocking his ways like a barricade, while exchanging a look of silent agreement with Bakugo.
“But I can’t just stay here! I hurt her—badly. She even tried to explain, but I wouldn’t listen,” Kirishima’s voice grew agitated. The vivid recollection of your tear-filled eyes and bloodied lips coiled within him, guilt tightening its grip on his chest. What kind of man hits an innocent woman? he thought, fists clenched as he struggled to free himself from his mates' hold.
“I’ll go,” Todoroki interjected suddenly. His words startled the others and they turned to him, puzzled. “It was my fault. I should apologize to her.” His voice was calm but resolute, slicing through the tension in the room and carrying a steadiness, calmness, that sought to soothe Kirishima’s agitation and remorse. “Izuku’s right; you can’t go there directly, Eijirou. I’ll go and apologize on behalf of both of us.”
"But I have to do it myself! I was the one who hit her. I should at least cover her medical bill!" Kirishima protested, spurred by a faint voice in the back of his mind reminding him how unmanly—and even less heroic—his actions had been.
“I’ll tell her you want to apologize in person too. If she’s okay with it, I’ll give her your number so she can reach out to you,” Todoroki assured him gently. It pained him to see Kirishima like this, especially knowing it was his fault. All he ever wanted was to see him smiling, radiant and untroubled, and judging by the looks on his other mates’ faces, it was clear they all shared the same feeling.
Kirishima’s expression wavered, torn between making a run to the hospital or listening to his mates, but Katsuki ended his internal debate with a firm arm slung around Kirishima’s shoulders, steering him toward the door.
“Come on, shitty head, we’re gonna be late. It’s Shoto’s mess, he’ll handle it,” Bakugo said, his voice losing its usual edge, and softened just enough to offer some reassurance to Kirishima.
Izuku lingered behind, casting Todoroki a final glance filled with quiet suspicion. Todoroki could almost see the gears of his mind turning, overthinking as always, but then Katsuki barked Izuku’s name from the doorway, urging him to hurry up. With a sigh, Izuku followed the red eyes pair and they all left for work, leaving Todoroki behind in their appartement.
Todoroki paced in circles around his apartment, his hands clenched into tight fists at his sides. He kept telling himself that he needed to apologize, but every time he neared the door, a wave of nerves yanked him back, making him turn and start another lap around his living room. He wasn’t used to feeling this way—unsteady, so... nervous as the weight inside him grew heavier, sinking like an anchor. He’d never been one to feel so unsettled—he was usually straightforward, never having trouble apologizing when it was needed. If he made a mistake, he fixed it; he owned up. But this felt different. Today, shame, guilt, and apprehension mingled within him in a discomfort he didn’t fully understand.
“Okay, it’s just... an apology. You’ve done this before,” he muttered under his breath, trying to summon his usual calm. He had told his mates so confidently that he would do it, but look at him now. “Just go in there, say you’re sorry. It’s not complicated.” Yet the words didn’t settle him. Instead, they only seemed to make him more anxious. Why was facing you so daunting suddenly? He couldn’t explain it—he didn’t understand it.
After what felt like ages, he forced himself to grab his keys and head out the door, before he could talk himself out of it again. But the nerves only grew worse when he settled into his car and sat behind the wheel. The flashes of three days ago replayed in his mind, flashes of him almost humping the backseat. They made him wince as he gripped the steering wheel tighter and started the car.
The hospital wasn’t so far away from his apartment, a short 30-minutes drive, but he had to will himself to stay focused on the road. When he paused at a red light, he found himself wondering if your scent would be as intoxicating and bewitching as he remembered it to be and the thought made him groan as he banged his head on the steering wheel, mumbling to himself, Focus, Shoto.
As he drove past a flower shop, a quiet voice in his mind suggested he bring you something. He considered it for a moment, pondering on how appropriate it would be to bring flowers to someone he didn’t know, especially someone who had been beat up because of him. Yeah, no, even he could tell it would be weird. But somehow, he found himself making a U-turn, parking his car in front of the flower shop, and stepping inside.
The floral scent enveloped him immediately—a soft, sweet fragrance that seemed to soothe the edges of his nerves. Before him laid a sea of vibrant and cool blooms stretched out in rows: roses blushed in shades of crimson and coral, delicate peonies, soft violets, cheerful tulips, and vivid anemones. The shop was beautiful, but he knew he had to leave fast when he realized he was searching for flowers that would complement the color of your eyes. He almost laughed at himself. Ridiculous, he mused, but there he was, his feet planted firmly on the ground, and a minute later, he was holding a bouquet of dahlias. With the flowers in hand, he made his way to the counter, quickly paid, and rushed back to his car, feeling the steady thrum of nervousness in his chest.
Finally, we got to see Izuku and Katsuki in this fic. It took us 6 chapters but we made it through!!
I hated writing this chapter, omg, it took me almost a whole week. You guys have no idea how many versions of this chapter exist 😭. The length wasn’t the issue—I tried to make it a bit longer than usual (not by much, though; I’m usually around 1.5k words, but today I hit 1.9k). BUT omg, nothing really happened here. I think it was just a boring chapter (at least to write) 💀.
I’ve always referred to the characters as Todoroki, Kirishima, Izuku, and Katsuki in my head. But it’s kind of weird how half of them go by their first name and the other half by their surname in the narration, right? It’s also a bit confusing when I use both in the same chapter, so I’ve decided to stick with Izuku, Katsuki, Kirishima, and Todoroki for the narrator. The reader will use their first names once she meets them properly.
As always, criticisms are welcome.
Big thank you to @cafekitsune who made the beautiful dividers

No one should have found out that she was an omega, least of all the crown prince of Yuei.
But Izuku Midoriya was smart.
With two other lives on the line, Lia made the choice of accepting the deal given by the prince - her submission for his secrecy.
It should have been an easy arrangement, if not for the group of homicidal maniacs that had been using omegas as a bartering coin in order to take over the kingdom and the prince’s penchant for wanting more than she was willing to give.
Fate was just one big joke, was it not?
Chapter Three - don't know if you love me or you want me dead
a/n: wanted chapter four done before i posted this chapter but fuck it because that one has taken my mental power? because he does not wish to cooperate. no sexual scenes on this one and it's shorter compared to the past two chapters. hope you guys like it! not beta'd as always
wc: 6745 words
warnings: omegaverse dynamics, omegaverse based sexism, general foul language, slight gore (?), toxic behavior
chapter 1 | chapter 2
The fight was over and Lia held her heart on her throat, feeling like she couldn’t breathe as the dust still hadn’t settled. There was no victorious shout, no cackling laughter. Katsuki was hurt, one arm hanging limply at his side, gash on his shoulder bleeding. There were already dark bloomings of bruises on his chest and he had a split lip and probably a broken nose as well.
Ochako was buried beneath rubble, the exploded rocks she had been using as projectiles pining her down to the ground. They were both panting, but it was obvious who had been the winner of their battle. There was a roar of cheers from the crowd that had watched the both of them, deafening in its volume as the pounding of her heart kept a fast rhythm.
Her friend had lost.
For the first time in a while, Ochako had lost a battle. One she had even prepared for, taken in lieu of Lia because she had wanted to protect her. Guilt churned on her gut at the thought that she was at fault for her friend’s injuries, for having made the alpha so angry that he had to go after someone. It didn’t matter that Ochako had chosen to fight, had been the one to give the time and place. Lia had been the one to set the dominos tumbling down when she had held Katsuki back from burning the library to the ground.
He took a step forward, then another, and the brunette almost leapt out of her place before the blond collapsed on the ground, finally giving in to his injuries. Silence fell upon the training grounds before, finally, she jumped from her spot at the fence to go towards her friend. Small legs ate away the distance in more time than she would have liked, but it prompted others to follow her. It was good because the omega doubted that she would have the strength to move the rubble away from her unconscious friend. In the corner of her eye she could see another group tending to Katsuki, Eijiro picking him up to probably bring him to the infirmary.
“Oh God.” Lia winced as more of her friend’s body was uncovered, trembling hands touching the torn skin and the obviously broken arm. Hopefully the healers would be able to heal her back to shape.
“Fuck, ok, so gotta make some painkillers.” Mina winced next to her, and both of them worked to quickly adjust Ochako on a stretcher that had somehow materialized - someone must have brought it in, right? Ah, it didn’t really matter who had brought it, just that they could take Ochako to the healers.
Two soldiers from the same division as her friend picked the wooden handles of the stretcher, quickly making their way with the two omegas in tow, worry etched on all of their faces, though the two betas did leave once her friend was resting in one of the cots, opposite the blond that had put her there in the first place. It was obvious that though she had gotten quite the damage, her friend had done her fair share of it.
The oldest of the healers was shuffling closest to the prince, a kiss being pressed to his forehead, breathing easing as the quirk worked its magic. The one that approached them was young, soft and sweet, flower petals being placed on her friend’s forehead and just bellow her throat. It was with amazement as Lia watched them dissolve into the skin, tinging it a deep red that soon dissipated through the body, turning pink before fully integrating into her body. There was a sickening crack as the bone pulled itself back together, skin knitting over the now correctly set arm. Though unconscious, there was a whimper, as if she had actually felt the pain of the healing, as if it wasn’t simple magic at work but a quickening of the time it would have taken Ochako to heal by herself.
“She should be back into shape by tomorrow.” The voice is as soft as the face, kind eyes taking in both her and Mina, each one holding one of Ochako’s hand now that the broken arm had been dealt with. “You’re free to stay here, but she does need rest.”
It wasn’t really a chiding, just an advice, but it deflated both omegas anyway. And the fact was that they both had work to do, even if worry would hold their attention, keeping them here with their friend, their sister. There was nothing more than Lia wanted than to make sure Ochako would be well, the fear that another loved one would be torn from her was deep seated. It didn’t matter that she was safe, that there were people who could so easily fix a broken bone. This was someone she loved, deeply. Her sister by choice and circumstance.
“Let them stay, Ao.” The voice was stern but it held an edge of softness that left Lia in a strange sense of ease. Lia didn’t really know Chiyo, had mostly only heard from the old beta from Nezu and some of the scholars that were interested in the medicinal arts and quirks. Motherly. That was how her presence was read. That strength of sternness wrapped up in the softness of caring. A core of steel and a coat of silk. “The presence of loved ones always helps.”
“Thank you.” Mina bowed with a warm smile, and the brunette tilted her head in acknowledgment, though her fingers gripped Ochako’s tighter.
A wave of a deeply wrinkled hand, so small and yet the benefits it could sow were so great “Everyone expected the fight to be grand, but not as long as it was.” Fifteen minutes. That’s how much Ochako had lasted against Katsuki before being overpowered by the blunt force of his attacks. Lia probably wouldn’t have lasted more than a minute, and that was counting on her being able to use her quirk. Mina would probably fare better, but Ochako had always been the skilled fighter out of the three of them. “Your friend did well, but…” eyes went to the unconscious prince before setting on the three once more “I would wonder what the lasting effects will be.”
Of catching the attention of a dangerous alpha.
Lia didn’t know if that was what Choiyo meant, but it was what she deduced, what she felt on her skin. There was no way there wouldn’t be repercussions of her friend going against Katsuki, and even if she lost, she had still managed to bring him to the edge. If curiosity had been what made her appear in Izuku’s radar, the absolute bloodbath that had been the battle probably would catch Katsuki’s attention. And then there was the fact that Ochako smelled something on him that the other two omegas didn’t, that there was an added incognita that hadn’t been on their plans.
There had to be some meaning to it. The same way there had to be a meaning to why Izuku smelled like lightening. What came to mind was a bit scary if she was honest, and damn right stupid.
“She’ll be fine, she’s a survivor.” Mina smiled softly, and Lia nodded in agreement. They were all survivors, first due to the protection of their parents and then due to their own resilience. They would survive some hard headed alphas and come back on top, they always did.
✧ — ⋆ — ✧
“How’s Uraraka?”
Izuku’s voice took her out of the daze that Lia had found herself in, worry for her friend still present in her mind even if she had been more than stable when both omegas had left the infirmary.
“Still out.” She sighed and proceeded to finally put the book she had been holding back on its place, it wouldn’t do well to keep staring at it, if she hadn’t been able to even read the title, she wouldn’t be able to read the actual pages, would she? “Choiyo said that it would take her a while to wake up due to her injuries.”
Most had been internal, some bleeding and broken ribs from the rubble that had been brought down on her. Then there had been the broken arm. The prince gave a hum, settling next to her while she continued to put books away, it wasn’t the first time that she wondered if he didn’t have anything better to do than stay by the library. She wasn’t egotistical enough to think she was the reason, after all, the prince had been a fixture long before she even came to the castle. It was just that she sometimes would rather be alone with her thoughts.
“If it will make her feel better when she wakes up, Kachaan was pretty beat up too.” He mused with a chuckle, making Lia turn to him with a soft gaze.
“How was he?”
“He’s back in his room with orders to rest.” He grinned “Pretty pissed off at not being able to wipe the floor with your friend, so he’s fine, recovered.”
That did bring a smile to her face. “Ochako’s always been the best fighter out of the three of us.”
“She was inspiring, you know.” He crossed his arms and looked out at the window, it was already becoming dusk, the sky turning to shades of orange and purples that would soon bleed into navy. “Kachaan is ruthless in everything he does, that includes the fight. And she managed to keep up with him, and if he hadn’t landed the hit that broke the rocks she was levitating, well… he might very well have been the loser.”
“She’ll love to hear that.” And Lia was going to tell her friend, even if it would bring questions of why the crown prince was talking to her in the first place. Though they knew that he came to the library, neither of her friends was privy to the arrangement that she had with Izuku. After all, they would rather leave than allow Lia to sacrifice her body and mind for their sake.
Which was kind of funny because she didn’t think of it as a sacrifice. It was more of a task, just something she had to do in order to keep up appearances. And though he was a menace, the prince wasn’t half as bad when he wasn’t teasing her or dropping his cheery half dumb persona.
“She has great control of her quirk.” He commented after a minute or so of silence, Lia thought that the conversation had simply died down, and honestly, his presence was always very reassuring, his scent settling in a way that she did not want to think about.
“She does.”
“Which makes one wonder why don’t you?” Lia sighed, of course they would have to circle back to her. For some reason, Izuku was interested in her, which meant that her quirk would have to eventually come out into conversation. She just didn’t think it would be over her mastery of it.
“I do have control of my quirk, your highness.” A huff was given, as well as a roll of her eyes, the brunette moving to another shelf so she could continue her job. As always, Izuku followed.
“Holding my brother for less than a minute is considered control?” he wasn’t accusing, but his tone held a slight edge of mocking that made her hackles rise.
“I don’t make it a habit of using it on living beings.” She bit back with an irritated huff, it only annoyed her further when he just seemed to smirk at that, as if she had just proven his point.
“Which is exactly what you should be doing.”
“It’s wrong!” couldn’t he see it? The fact that living beings had wills and messing with that wasn’t on her plans? Something that Lia didn’t wish to do, not now and not ever. But how could he understand when his powers had to do with physical prowess and nothing like hers? It was stupid and annoying and so not fair.
But when had her life even been fair?
“It is.” She looked at him dumbfounded when he agreed with her, a shrug of his shoulders being given before he was frowning “But so is burning a whole village to the ground. Decaying anyone that gets on your way. Stabbing them with glee.” Oh. “We can try to fight fire with water, and it might help in most cases, but on this one…” his frown deepened and the omega had the sudden urge to soften the skin of his brow with her hand. What the fuck was wrong with her? He continued as if she wasn’t having an internal conflict with herself. “On this one, I am afraid it has to be fire with fire.”
“You don’t think defeating them is enough.” Even though she had already gotten to that conclusion, her heart still bled for the pain that shone behind his green eyes, usually so bright and striking, now dulled and somber.
“I think this will end in death.” A deep breath. In. Out. “Ours or theirs.”
✧ — ⋆ — ✧
Ochako left the infirmary with a healed body and a bruised ego. But all Lia could care about was the fact that her friend was awake and whole, though it did give Mina more teasing ammunition that she probably didn’t need. She was already famous enough for being able to tease them about anything, and now Ochako had lost to an alpha.
“Just saying ‘Chako, dear, you pulled your punches.” A giggle was given at the look of sheer and utter betrayal that passed over the brown eyes of their friend, and Lia did have to hold back a giggle behind her palm. It had been obvious that there hadn’t been any pulled punches, the other omega had given her all.
“He’s a beast.” Ochako pouted, puffy cheeks becoming even more pronounced before she blew the air and shook her head “He has no self preservation instincts, it’s all or nothing. Did you see the way he blasted his way through the rocks I threw at him? I think he broke a finger or two doing that.”
Probably, though they had been given the extent of their friend’s injuries, they hadn’t been told about the prince’s. Mostly, he had been tired and overworked, but she didn’t doubt that there should be some sort of injuries that they couldn’t see. But who would claim the weakness of the second in line? No one in their right mind, that’s for sure.
“And he had some internal bleeding, really nasty stuff, really.” The voice was bright and cheery, the smile sharp not because of wickedness but because of the sharp pointy teeth. Had he been born with those or had he filed them down? Maybe that was a question for another time, because besides prince Izuku, Eijiro Kirishima would of course be the only one brave enough to speak of Katsuki’s injuries… Or was that more dumb that smart?
“Kiri!” Mina grinned widely, throwing herself into the arms of the much taller alpha, who laughed whole heartedly and spun her around with a shout of her name. It was cute, and Lia wondered when Mina had met the alpha, and why Ochako was looking at him with something akin to awe and reserve.
Lia had the thought that was how she had first looked at Izuku. Or maybe she was just thinking of the worst case scenarios.
But the saying must be true, speaking of the devil did seem to summon him. Even if it had only been on her mind.
“Kirishima don’t go on telling the whole castle of Kachaan’s injuries or he’ll have your head.” Izuku laughed, waving off the bows and calls of your highness from her two friends. They did eye her after noticing she hadn’t bowed, and Lia almost flushed at the faux pas, too used to his presence now to even think of his damn title. Of course she should have bowed to the fucking prince, instead she had just glared at him as if the two of them had been alone.
“Midoriya, don’t be like that, she deserves to know the ass kicking she gave Bakubro.” Instead of letting go of Mina, he allowed her to climb to his shoulder, easily sitting on the expanse of it. Alone he was already big and intimidating if not for the smile on his face, next to Izuku, who already towered over the three omegas, Eijiro’s size was monstrous. Probably due to his quirk, or something of the sort. He probably towered over Katsuki as well, and the second in line was already taller than his brother as well.
Prime alphas.
The hazy designation came to her suddenly, a story her mother had told her when she was younger. The stronger and the fastest, the ones more in tune with the inner wolves they had descended from, that they still held the secondary gender from. They were the apex predators, the ones everyone wanted to be or wanted to be claimed by. Rarer than omegas were becoming.
Three of them in the same castle, what were the odds?
But it did make some sort of sense that Izuku was so keen on dominating as he was, an exacerbated trait from his alpha heritage made even stronger by his prime status. Maybe she did need to search for some information about it, because maybe the power exhibited by the League was somehow related to that same designation. If they were dealing with primes… fuck, things had just gotten even more dangerous.
“Are you sure, your highness?” the happiness and adoration in Ochako’s voice brought Lia back from her thoughts, cheeks flushing at being caught so out of herself. Quickly, her aqua eyes settled on the two alphas, noticing the curious glance that Izuku gave her, a later being mouthed without her even meaning to. His gaze shone with surprise and was that… happiness?
“I am, Lady Uraraka.” The omega’s eyes widened at the title, mouth hanging open as she looked at her friend. Did that mean that Izuku would be… “I think you will like to know that the request was put in by my brother himself.” Surprise flared OChako’s nostrils, brown eyes blinking in confusion, mirroed by the other two omegas.
“Why would he..?” the question hung in the air, answered with a shrug of Izuku’s shoulders.
“I’m not going to pretend to understand the way my brother thinks sometimes, but he was impressed by your prowess, Uraraka, and I am more than glad that father has decided that he would be accepting the proposal.” His smile was gentle, beaming, warm. Something in Lia melted a little at that look, as if the sun was shining from within him. “Everyone was impressed by your fight and your prowess with just a few months of intensive training. Your superiors had nothing but commendations to give you, and it has been proven first hand that you are an asset if you could go against my brother for as long as you did. Knighting you will be an honor.”
“’Chako!” Mina screamed, jumping from Eijiro’s shoulders and running towards the smaller omega who was opening her mouth like a fish out of water. There were tears on the corner of three pairs of eyes, bodies coming together in a deep hug. It had been a dream of Ochako, to be a knight, more than a soldier, there was something to being tasked with defending honor and values and not just the land. It was something that many vied for but only a handful got.
There was a need for a formal request from a patron, someone of high standing or another knight; then there was the need to ascertain skills and character. It was an arduous process, and from the handful of people, only one of two ever did reach the King’s blessing. And without even meaning to, her friend had managed it.
“Oh my god!” Mina laughed, pressing pecks to Ochako’s cheek as Lia rubbed her own with hers, even if they didn’t exude any scent due to the concoction, that didn’t mean that instincts weren’t instincts. And all she wanted was to show how happy she was for her friend.
“You’re going to be a Knight!” laughter fell from her lips, fingers gripping her friend’s arms as they jumped in glee. “Lady Ochako Uraraka! Can you believe that?”
“Not really, I… Oh!” laughter and tears ran at the same time, wetting cheeks and warming hearts. It was a pretty sight, three friends congratulating one of them for a job well done. “Thank you so much, your highness, thank you.”
Izuku shook his head while Eijiro just laughed “You should thank Kachaan if you can manage to catch him.” A slow, amused grin was given “I think he would appreciate some gratefulness.”
“I’ll make sure to thank prince Bakugo for his generosity.” A bow was given, copied by Mina and Lia as they still hadn’t let go of their friend, much to the amusement of the two alphas in front of them.
“My mission here has been resolved.” A nod of Izuku’s head, a meaningful look being sent to Lia, completely missed by the other three, but the brunette was well aware that she would have to deal with a noisy prince later in the day. Hopefully in a public space.
As her body warmed at the thought of alone time with the prince, she wondered who she was trying to fool besides herself.
✧ — ⋆ — ✧
Izuku was smart, had always been. It was there before the brawn had come in, and would always stay even as he lost it once again. He was good at strategies, trusted to resolve the trickier court problems and asked to tutor some of the children. So it had been no surprise that he had found out the secret of the pretty new addition to the court, what had been a surprise had been the time it had taken him to make that discovery.
Rather, for the first month and a half, he hadn’t even noticed anything more than her presence. A sure, steady thing that caught his attention but was quickly brushed out of his mind. He had more pressing matters to attend to, not only his duties to the crown and his people but the information he was trying to gather on the League. So yes, there had been some sort of unconscious draw to the brunette, but nothing that had warranted his full attention.
And then he had noticed the missing manuscripts. The texts that he had been trying to get his hands on had always seemed to disappear right before he needed them. Of course, they would reappear just a week later, but by then he had found new ways to gather the same information. He was a resourceful one, after all, his research was based as much on texts as it was on hands on methods.
At first, he had thought it was a spy. Someone who knew what he was looking for and got to it before he did, thwarted him at every corner, and the suspicions had fallen to the library beta that had arrived at the same time the coincidences had started.
There had been no proof at first, only suspicions, but then Izuku had seen her sneak into the Hall of Records.
The proof that he had needed.
She had to be a spy sent to thwart their progress, to make sure that the League stayed out of their reach, that they could complete their nefarious plan.
But he needed more proof before confronting the brunette. Had to be sure of his suspicions because above all, he was a fair alpha, and he didn’t want to accuse someone who held no guilt. As such, he had broken into her room, found what he soon understood was her research.
What he thought would have been information on him and the inner workings of the court ended up being research on the League. Still information Lia shouldn’t have been privy to, information that he had buried in the hall of records and thought that no one would find, spy or not.
His was still more complete, after all, he had the counter intelligence that gathered information behind the lines, the people that he had stationed in the seedy bars the League usually went to. His could be better, but she still had some, and he had no clue why. Not the why of her wish to gather details and plans, not the why of why she even needed that information.
There had been so many questions. And that had made him pay closer attention to her.
Much to his surprise, there had been a draw, something that he couldn’t quite pinpoint. It had been there before, a pinch on his conscience that ached to look for someone. Always happening when the brunette was near, but he had never connected the dots, not at first.
And it had bothered him, this kind of obsession that he couldn’t shake. The need to look for her even when she wasn’t in the room, as if the beast inside of him was calling out for its partner. It was biological and instinctual and Izuku did not enjoy it.
So he had confronted her, waited until she was alone and vulnerable. Caught her red handed in something. After all, why would she and her friends be inside a barely lit room in a hallway that was barely used? He had decided then, maybe on a whim, that he would get to wash her off of him. Satiate himself with her body and mind and then simply go on with his life while she went on with hers.
It was a really good idea.
On paper.
In reality he had found out that the beta they had hired was lying through her teeth. An omega. She had found a way to fully hide her designation as if it wasn’t impossible, as if the prince himself hadn’t tried to do it for as long as he had presented. There was just something quite not there when it came to hiding your designation, in a way the smell of alpha still clung to him when he used moonclover. But not to her, and as he deduced after finding out what she was, neither to her friends.
On the outside they appeared as a beta would, no one had suspected them. And there he had been, finding out that they had not only one but three omegas in the kingdom. And as he soon after found out, the same ones that had somehow escaped the League’s attack.
And he still hadn’t managed to get a lot of answers to his questions. Even though she had accepted his deal ( blackmail? ). Even after he had touched her, mellowed her out with pleasure. There had been no answers. Cards held close to her chest.
Maybe if she was easier to ply, easier to work around, maybe he could have washed himself off the obsession that seemed to clung to his inner workings. Maybe he wouldn’t search for her outside of the thirsts he set. Maybe he wouldn’t look for her, wish to protect her, keep her close.
Something was missing, and that incognita held his interest more than he had ever could have foreseen. It was stupid and unplanned and unlike him.
A mess of instinct.
And something Izuku had never been was a slave to such baser desires. He was ruled by logic and knowledge, by sheer determination. He should have never been an alpha, hadn’t even been born with a quirk, if it wasn’t for the king taking him under his wings, adopting him and giving his mother a place to stay…
His life would have been much different, wouldn’t it? Instead he had presented as an alpha instead of the beta everyone thought he would have been. His adoptive father’s quirk had been passed down to him, and he had become the official crown prince. His tenacity and the will to protect the kingdom had solidified the choice, even when he had no powers.
He worked harder than anyone, tried his best. Would go to the moon and back if it would help better the lives of those under his rule. The League was a danger to everyone, and that was where his attention should be.
Not on the omega that was starting to burrow under his skin.
✧ — ⋆ — ✧
When Izuku said later, Lia had been expecting him to do what he had done before and jump into her room. Apparently, later meant pebbles thrown into her room to catch her attention. Which was silly and something she had seen in romance books, not real life. And whatever there was between her and the prince definitively didn’t belong in a romance, maybe one o fthe books stowed away in the corner of the library that made everyone blush and giggle.
He wanted her body and her secrets, maybe her mind as well, but definitively not her soul or personality. He wanted to know how she and her friends had managed to pass as betas. He wanted to know why she had an interest in the League. He wanted to know what she had planned and why she had planned it. There was no romance, no flowers, no giggles and shared looks.
He wanted more than she was willing to give.
There were quick steps taken from where she had been resting on her desk to the window, hands laid on the windowsill so she could lean to look at him. “Are you crazy?” Lia questioned, green eyes darting from side to side in worry. Wasn’t this all supposed to be a secret? Him throwing pebbles and having to speak louder to reach her.
Their dirty little encounters could still ruin her reputation, she wasn’t just an omega, she was also a woman. And women shouldn’t frolic before marriage. Or at least, they shouldn’t be caught doing it.
“Everyone is asleep, live a little.” He laughed at her affronted expression. “Nezu’s the only one who sleeps at this side and he’s with Aizawa.”
“Oh.” It still had been quite the gamble, hadn’t it? “What do you want?”
“To spank you again, apparently.” Was that mirth? And yet, she couldn’t help the flush that spread across her cheeks at the memory of his touch on her skin, of the warmth and the sting of it all. She hadn’t been able to sit without squirming for two days. A reminder of their time together. One that hadn’t been as unpleasant as it should have been.
“Why would…” Oh yeah, his stupid rules. Lia rolled her eyes at Izuku “Why are you here, master?”
If someone heard them, she was going to kill him, consequences be damned.
“Jump.”
Did he just? “This is the second floor!” she hissed at him, shaking her head, baffled by his absolute disregard for her safety. Didn’t she have to be healthy and unharmed to be his little toy? Lia certainly didn’t have his powers or even his training, jumping from the second floor would hurt her.
“I know, kitten.” Another quick look to each side from Lia, hoping that no one would hear them, even if Izuku wasn’t bothered by the possibility, she was. “I’ll catch you.”
“What if you miss?” what if she hurt him when she fell, it was still a good distance, she would gain enough momentum that her weight would be greater than it was. “What if you can’t catch me?”
“Trust me.”
Those words made her eyes widen, her mouth open in a gasp at the indecency of them. Not because they were lascivious but because between the two of them, it wasn’t like trust was a needed detail. He wanted her submission, her body, her pleasure and his own. She didn’t have to trust him to submit to him, right? She hadn’t even wanted to submit in the first place, but had been coerced into it. Did it matter that she actually enjoyed it? Did it matter that he was worried with her pleasure as much as he was worried about his own?
“C’mon, kitten, I’m not asking for much.”
He was. Izuku was asking for something that she definitively wasn’t ready to do. A deep breath was given, no, he really wasn’t asking for much, was he? She only had to trust him with her body, nothing more. That was all he was asking, right?
“You’re crazy.” But even then, Lia was climbing onto the windowsill, glad that she hadn’t changed into her night clothes or she would have flashed the prince. Did he mind? Probably not. But she also would rather not get caught in such a position by the guards that kept patrol.
A deep breath was given before she jumped, hands clamped on her mouth so she didn’t scream at the feeling of falling, waking up the few people who slept near her rooms. God, she was going to get hurt, she was going to break her bones, she was going to…
Be caught.
Strong arms wrapped around her, cradled her to his chest, having caught her middle fall, a squeak leaving Lia when he landed with her. “I can’t believe I jumped.” She was as crazy as he was, heart beating like the wings of a hummingbird, hair wild from the fall.
And still, she was smiling.
It had been crazy and stupid and reckless, but she still felt kind of proud that she had actually gone through with it, that she had managed to jump from the window. “You did.” Izuku himself laughed, one arm wrapping around her shoulders and bringing her close, nose pressing against the top of her head before he nuzzled her. “You did well, kitten.”
The praise coupled with the pet name he had given her made her flush, body disentangling from his own so she could hide the reaction. Though by the glance that she stole before she turned, the smug tilt of his lips said that he was well aware of her reaction.
“Why did you bring me out of my room anyway?” it was easier to distract him, take his attention away from her warm cheeks than to come to terms with the why of such reaction. He was being pushy, was trying to get her to give him more than she was comfortable with. There were rules in the coerced relationship, an unbalanced dynamic that she should hate more than anything.
And yet, here Lia was, waiting for his words instead of still being in her room.
“You promised me an explanation earlier…” his voice was held amusement, head tilting to the side before he was walking towards the training grounds, not even bothering to tell her if she should follow him or not. It was obvious was it not? “And I happen to think that it would be fun to take a midnight stroll.”
There was something wrong with the second part of his logic, there was so double meaning there. Somehow Lia didn’t think that he wanted to do something so leisurely with her. At least he was slowing down his pace, allowing her smaller legs to keep up with his pace. And still, she was worried about what he may be planning, especially in such an open field during the night.
“What do you know about primes?” the question seemed to surprise him, steps halting so he could turn his body to hers, curiosity and interest colliding on his green eyes.
“Oh?” he grinned widely at that, and then there it was, that out of focus stare, Lia certainly wouldn’t need a book now, would she? “There is little information about them in the books, which is not a wonder having into account that both prime alphas and omegas are really rare. The latter of which is becoming even rarer with the dwindling number of omega births.” The amount of knowledge that his brain could hold was impressive, and Lia could only stare transfixed as he continued “They’re said to just be more… I think that’s the best kind of explanation I can give you. Alphas are more aggressive, stronger, faster.” A frown “I would think prime omegas would just be more submissive in nature, but there’s actually no accounts of them, not like there are of alphas. But you have to think they exist, there is always some sort of balance in the world, right?”
“I would think so.” She really wasn’t sure, there were so many incognitos, even more when… “But how can one know when we’re locked up after marriage? And even before, if you aren’t kept inside four walls, there is the risk of someone kidnapping you, of attacking you and marking you. Either way, our lives get stolen.”
He frowned “And we’re going to change that.”
There was no helping the laughter that slipped from her lips, much to his distaste. “Oh, please, we’ve gone over this. You cannot change the world.”
“Your faith in me is staggering.” He drawled out in irritation, restarting his pace, this time she had to jog to keep up with him.
“Why do you expect so much from me, your highness?”
He was quick to stop, turn until his gloved hand was clutching her jaw, making her look at him with startled aqua eyes “Why do I keep having to remind you of the fucking rules?” it was like whiplash with him, like from one moment to the other he turned from jovial to brooding.
“I forget.” And she did. She really did forget his stupid rules and the why of them. She forgot that she was nothing but a means to pleasure. A mystery that he wanted to solve, one that she kept trying to thwart him from finding out. Lia wanted to keep him away, and yet it seemed that everything she did only made him try and entangle himself in her life.
“You forget.” He snickered, eyes malicious as he let go of her chin, hands coming to rest on her shoulders before he turned once more, forcing her to move in front of him, facing the forest that bordered the training grounds. She hadn’t noticed that they had walked around the grounds instead of entering them, which kind of made sense if they wanted privacy. “This was going to be a fun little game.” He commented lightly, pushing her towards the woods.
Lia turned to look at him confused, brows furrowed and mouth slightly open. He continued “I wanted to help you train for a little bit, maybe even have your use your quirk on me for us to understand your limits on living beings.”
He planned on helping her? Why would he do it? “Master,…”
“No, you don’t get to remember it now.” She didn’t understand why he was so frustrated with her, it wasn’t the first time that he had to remind her about the damn title rule, so what had changed? Was it because she didn’t believe in his willingness to make it a better world for omegas? On his claims that he could change things? That he could help her and her friends? “So, kitten,” the pet name held a sharpness that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, one step backwards being given. Izuku smirked sharply at that. “I’m going to be really, really, nice and give you five minutes of head start.”
“Why would I need that?” even though Lia was asking, in the back of her mind she already knew the answer, already knew why he would want to give her time. Why she shouldn’t even wait for his answer before bolting towards the dark cluster of trees. It should worry her that the idea of such wasn’t bringing dread and fear into her body, no, it was anticipation and arousal that were spread across her veins. Instincts that she had thought tamped down because of the lack of scents, there but hidden away, coming to the surface.
“Because I’m going to hunt you down.”

Izuku is a nervous man, sure. But he is courageous. He jumps headfirst into battles, he puts up a good fight, he spent months breaking his bones while getting used to his power. He is nervous, but that will never stop him from taking what he wants.
So, really, it's no surprise when he kisses you first. It's gentle, a peck, just a brush of skin. But it sends a thrill of excitement up your spine nonetheless, makes you feel giddy and excited. He's soft, warm, and a little sweet from the soda he had been sipping on. Something with cherry, you think.
"This okay?" he murmurs, head still ducked close to yours and lips still against lips.
"Yeah," you huff, grinning when he exhales a trembling breath. His flush is high on his cheeks, beneath his spattering of freckles. He's so easy to rile up, to tease. A laugh bubbles from your chest when you notice the way his fingers shake against your neck, but still, you're sweet when you ask, "Do it again?"
And you're so– you drive him mad. Every single thing about you turns his brain to mush.
So he does. He kisses you again, firmer this time. The cherry on his tongue invades your senses, makes your teeth hurt. The hand on your neck slips up and into your hair so he can angle you better for himself. Greedy and selfish and needy, he curls himself around you, fills you up with him.
Izuku will always take what he wants. And he's wanted you for a long, long time.

How would Izuku react to an Alpha with the quirk to duplicate themselves, would he suggest quirk play into the bed? ;)
It takes a while for Izuku to think about anything dirty with his alphas quirk.
He hyper focuses on the ways it can be used in hero work, in medicine, in business, everything. Except sex.
I think it would actually take alpha making a joke to put the idea into Izuku's head.
"You could use it for so much!! I mean, imagine the benefit of double teaming all your tasks!!"
You paused at his phrasing, a sly grin making its way onto your face. "Double teaming, eh? I can think of a few ways that would be useful."
Izuku's face went cherry red. "That's- That's not what I meant!"
And it wasn't what he meant. But it did put the idea into his head, and he finds himself not being able to get it out.
N-sfw specifics under cut
He starts imagining all sorts of naughty things.
He starts off fairly normal. He thinks about a threesome. Double penetration. All the new positions that would be possible (he likes to be held off the ground during sex, it turns him on to be manhandled lol.)
But then his thoughts start to get more and more specific.
He thinks about a good cop, bad cop, dom team. Where one of you is covering him in praise, and the other degrades him.
He thinks about cheating roleplays, where one of your finds him 'cheating' with the other.
He thinks about voyeurism and exhibitionism stuff. What if one of you 'taught' the other one how to fuck him properly. Or you could have your clone film you and him fucking from inside the wardrobe or round the crack of the door, so Midoriya can watch it back and pretend there was someone watching.
And you know what Midoriya's mind is like. Once he starts, he can't stop. So the scenarios get more and more detailed, and he becomes more and more fixated.
I like to think that he starts having dirty dreams every night, entirely pent up and distracted.
I guess it'd up to you get these fantasies out of him and make a couple of his dreams come true 😉

It’s fucking hurt. The warmth that had been spreading through your lower belly, enveloping your body, was shattered by a sharp pain pulsing in your head.
Disoriented, you struggled to grasp what was happening. One moment, you were lost in a fantasy of frosted berries, honey, and Todoroki, and the next, someone had slammed you against the wall. The look in his eyes made it clear—he was ready to tear you apart.
It wouldn’t be hard for him to do that, with those teeth. You had never noticed them looking so sharp before. On TV, Red Riot always came across as the friendliest hero, his wide grin and bright eyes inviting trust. He was the one with a joke ready to lighten the mood, the hero who went out of his way to help civilians with their everyday tasks. Everyone who met him had a soft spot for him—a vision of strength wrapped in kindness.
But now, under the glare of his red eyes, his fists clenched tightly around your collar, his shark-like teeth bared as if waiting for the perfect moment to tear into you, none of that friendliness remained. His rage was palpable—burning just beneath the surface, barely contained. You could feel it in the way his grip tightened with every passing second, the way his chest heaved with each furious breath.
He looked like he was on the verge of exploding, and you were the target of all that fury. His lips pulled back in a snarl, revealing those razor-sharp teeth that seemed ready to sink into your skin. Red Riot wasn’t just sharp—he was brutal, lethal. He wasn’t just ready to beat you up—he looked like he wanted to rip you apart, piece by piece, until there was nothing left. The once-kind, soft-hearted hero was gone, replaced by a tsunami of anger and violence, ready to unleash it all on you.
You knew how bad this whole situation looked—being caught with your hands on a claimed Omega (in heat) by one of his packmates was always a good enough reason for them to beat your ass. But this wasn’t the case, was it? No, it wasn’t, and you were ready to tell Red Riot so. So you tried to explain yourself quickly, to not give more time for his rage to boil over.
“Red Riot, I know it looks bad, but I swear, as a doctor, I was…” Your words hurriedly left your mouth, trying to defend yourself, but before you could finish your sentence, you felt his fist land straight into your face.
You were thrown to the ground. The pain from earlier was nothing compared to this. Blood spilled out of your nose and mouth, and you could swear you heard the sickening crack of your nose breaking under his blow. Now it really fucking hurt. Fat tears ran down your face, mixing with blood.
Red Riot didn’t want any explanation, he asked for one, but he wasn’t interested in hearing it. Fear crawled down your spine as sobs of pain and horror escaped your mouth, your vision spinning as you tried to look up at him, still uncertain of what just happened. Breaking your nose didn’t calm him down, and by the way he clenched his fist, you knew he was ready to strike again.
You barely heard Todoroki’s frantic shout, calling for Red Riot, but you did notice the putrid smell of rotten berries, rotting mango, and the sharp sourness of passion fruit beneath the thick metallic scent of your own blood. For one second, your eyes flicked to Todoroki, but your attention was stolen by Red Riot. You saw his muscles harden, flesh turning into stone. It was as if the storm surrounding him had solidified, and you were trapped inside it, powerless, unable to escape. Fighting back seemed pointless in the moment, you didn’t know if you’d even stay conscious if he hit you again.
But then, Todoroki’s second attempt at calling out for Red Eiot broke through the storm. His call cut through the tension like a knife and the angry hero’s focus shifted for an instant, his rage momentarily distracted.
“Shoto, are you okay? I’m so sorry I didn’t come—“ His voice was thick with worry and panic.
You didn’t wait to hear the rest. You scrambled to your feet and bolted out of the room, running for your life. Your legs propelled you forward, carrying you as fast as they could. You didn’t know if Red Riot was following, and you were too terrified to look back and find out. Your vision blurred as you crashed into a medical cart outside an open room, sending its contents flying across the floor but you didn’t care, you couldn’t stop to apologize and put it back together. You couldn’t stop at all. All you could do was run.
The hallways blurred past as you sprinted, your mind a panicked mess of fear and pain. The sharp sting of your broken nose, the blood dripping onto your clothes, the pounding in your skull—it all became a distant haze as you focused on one thing: escape. You didn’t even know how you managed to find the locker room, but somehow, your trembling hands found yours locker and you grabbed your bag and car keys as fast as possible, ignoring the confused stares of the people nearby.
You sprinted toward the parking lot, and when you finally reached it, you were gasping for air, tears still streaming down your face. Your legs felt like jelly, but you kept moving, stumbling toward your car. You shoved the door open with urgency. Once inside, your hands were shaking so badly that starting the engine felt impossible. You twisted the key over and over, your heart pounding, until the car finally roared to life.
You slammed your foot on the gas and sped out of the parking lot, reckless, your mind spinning, with no care for speed limits. All that mattered was getting as far away from that place, from him, as possible.
Is this shorter than usual? I can’t really tell. I think this chapter technically has more words than the last one, though. Anyway, I know Bakugo is usually the angry, "violent" guy in fics, but I’ve always thought Kirishima would beat someone into the ground if they ever took advantage of his partner. Plus, I always felt like fics were lacking people getting their asses beat.
So, I thought, let’s beat the reader’s ass!
I guess this is the end of the prologue. After this, we’re entering the “real” story, and we’ll meet the rest of the pack (not right away, but you get the idea). I’ll also have more room to explore the reader's personality. So far, all we’ve really seen is her being professional, confused, horny, and scared 😭.
Do any of you even read these author notes? It’s okay if I’m just talking to myself here. I always like the sound of my voice (well, my writing here, but you get it).
Criticisms are always welcome !
Big thank you to @cafekitsune who made the beautiful dividers
