Then why'd you have to go and lock me out when I let you in?

Why the hell did I agree to be Jess’ bridesmaid. This isn’t a good idea bringing me colliding right into Dean again.

Jess and I have been friends since college. The only person that’s stayed in my life.

My parents dropped me off at the hospital when I was a toddler and never came back.

I grew up in the foster system bouncing from house to house.

Maybe that’s why I always leave people when things get too real.

I still remember that night I left Dean in the middle of the night while he was sleeping:

I can’t stay growing feelings for someone isn’t an option they just.

He’ll leave me just like all the others.

I swiftly throw my stuff into a duffle and hightail it out of there.

I hesitantly unlock my Four Season hotel room door.

Why the hell is there two beds. A text I get from Jess answers my question:

Sorry, Y/N this is the only room left on this floor. I wanted everyone all on the same floor.

I hear someone come out of the bathroom.

There’s Dean in only a towel. It’s been 5 years since we last saw each-other 

I take a moment to stare at him in his shirtless form before he pulls me out of my thoughts.

“Y/N what the hell are you doing here this is my room! Dean said.

I can feel the anger radiating off him.

“ I can’t stay here with you I am going to stay at another hotel.” I replied.

“ Despite my issues, I let you in. Leave like you always do Y/N. You have no right to be mad at me by the way. You walked away. Not me.” said as he backed me into a wall.

Dean cages me with his arms not giving me a chance to run.

Dean places an angry kiss against my lips.

What the hell are you doing Dean this isn’t going to solve anything.

Not having sex in months my urges out weight the consequences yet again.

Dean removes one of his arms down for a brief moment to yank my clothes down.

In the end, we end up christening every surface of the hotel room including the bathroom.

Exhaustion consumes us. 

I am awoken by a knock the next day. I rub my eyes and slowly get up.

Dean left me a note.

This changes nothing for Y/N.

I go to open the door.

It’s Jess of course.

“Come, on Y/N you haven’t even showered yet The wedding is in 3 hrs. I’ve already got the little miss ready here.” Jess said.

“Mommy, hurry up I want to help Auntie Jess get ready too. Molly said.

Her bright green emerald eyes looking up at me.

She looks so pretty in the light blue flower girl dress.

When I left Dean I had no idea I was pregnant it was nearly two months before I realized something was off. By then it was too late to go back to him. I made a promise to her to never leave her as my parents did.

“Molly you look so pretty sweetie. Give me 20 mins and I’ll be dressed and showered. I replied.

I hastily shower and get dressed.

I comb my hair and pin it back which’ll have to do.

“You look pretty mommy lets go help Aunt Jess now." Molly said

She tugs my hand and leads me to Jess’s room.

Jess is already in her silk a-line gown.

“You look gorgeous Jess. Sam is going to be speechless. Let me help you with your make-up now.” I said.

After Jess’s make-up is done her mom finally comes with her red roses bouquet. Her dad arrives shortly after. I quickly go ahead of them down to the ballroom where the ceremony is being held.

Molly spreads the rose petals down the aisle. My breath hitches my throat when I see Dean.

He sure cleans up nicely. He looks amazing in that tux.

At first, I think he’s looking at me in my blue lace maid of honour dress then it hits me his eyes are glued on Molly.

Shit, I didn’t think about it when Jess asked her to be the flower girl.

Molly was so excited I couldn’t say no. 

I’ve always been careful not to run into Sam or Dean when I brought her over to Jess’s place.

Oh boy, this is going to be a long conversation at the reception.

It’s hard to pay attention to the events in front of me when Dean keeps glaring in my direction every so often during the ceremony .

Before I know it’s over and I get yanked aside by Dean.

“Really Y/N,  you ran off with my child how could you? Does she even know about me? Does Jess know she my daughter?Dean asked angrily.

“First of Jess has no clue Molly is yours. She looks so much me she never asked. Second of all, I found out two months after I left and knew there was no turning back. Third of all, She does I told her you’ve been away. Also told her if you could be with us you would be.

You can meet her if you want.” I replied 

Hopefully, this calms him down a bit.

Dean simply nods.

I motion for Molly to come over to me she quickly hops off of Jess’s lap.

The recognition in her eyes when she sees Dean.

She eagerly jumps into his arm he barely catches her in time.

“Daddy, I missed you are finally able to come home?” Molly asked.

“Sweetie that’s all up to you mom if she wants to move in with you guys or visa-versa.” Dean replied.

Molly turns to look at me and gives me the puppy dog eyes. Knowing full well I usually give in when she looks at me like that.

“Molly how about we do it on a trial basis and see how that goes.” I said.

Molly smiles in response.

I pray that this works out for her sake.

1 year later…

Things did work out for us and boy did they move fast within a year we got engaged.

Molly is so happy to have her parents together.

Dean comes into the kitchen and carries Molly in one arm. He kisses the top of my head while I am making the lasagna.

Dean taught me that people do stay.

These words echo in my head for how I felt when saw Dean for the first time in 5 years. From his perspective of course:

I look around to the quaint little restaurant in Toronto’s Little Italy. It’s one of Y/N’s favourite since we started filming here.  She's played my love interest on Supernatural and now The Boys.  I am nervously awaiting her arrival. I really need to tell her something.

Come on man up Ackles just tell her how you feel. I mentally chide myself.

I see Y/N coming up to our table. Even in jeans, she looks stunning.

That green blouse and her black jeans fit her like a glove.

I already pre-ordered our meals which should be out any minute.

She loves lasagna So that's what I order.

The waiter arrives just after she sits down.

"Okay spill Ackles what's up you call me here and order my favourite food. I can sense you are up to something. " Y/N said

I gingerly take her hand in mine. I take a deep breath.

Jensen and I  just tied the knot today.

It’s good to have things finally in place.

Once Jared accepted our relationship everything felt right.

He’s moved on with Jen and they are expecting a daughter later this year.

She’s a lighting director on Walker. That’s how they met.

Jensen unceremoniously tosses me on the bed and eagerly pulls the zipper on my silk wedding dress. I pull at his tie and proceed to remove his clothes.

I flip Jensen over on his back. He smirks at me. He loves it when I take control sometimes.

At the same time, Jensen slams home me being slick makes it easy for him to do so.

“That one over there,” grasping for John’s hand you drag your alpha toward the garden goblins. “It’s the one he destroyed, look. I finally found her again.”

“Aw, the girl who liked the bad guy, the biker goblin,” nodding eagerly you bring the goblin into your arms, smiling as you found three of the garden goblins Marcus destroyed a few months ago.

“Now they can be together again,” you sniff, smiling when John places the goblin into your shopping cart. “My biker goblin will be so happy, John.”

“He will,” smiling John pecks your cheek before he has a look at the other garden goblins. “What about the dude with the pants down?” John picks the goblin up, laughing as you look at the figurine’s naked butt. “He’s on discount. Eight bucks, doll.”

“He’s naughty but I could place him next to the angry old lady. I bet she’ll like to have a look at his butt,” giggling you watch John put the naughty figurine into your shopping cart.

“Our garden will look great with all the goblins,” wondering if John will like all your decoration you look at the shopping cart. “We only need to find the one with the barrow.”

“JOHN! Look, there he is,” squealing you run toward the other side of the shop. John laughs at your eagerness but his features change when you are not looking where you are going and slip on the floor.

“Ouch,” ending up on your knees you cry out in pain, whimpering silently to not anger the alpha. You are used to hide your pain and emotions as Marcus always punished you if you didn’t put a fake smile on.

“Omega, doll…” John is by your side before you can shed the first tear. “Are you hurt, Y/N?” he carefully picks you up to soothe the pain. “I’m gonna check on you, baby doll, okay. Don’t cry. I will take care of you.”

“’m fine, John. It’s nothing, really,” you sniff, looking at your bleeding knees. “I want to buy the garden goblins first, please. Someone will snatch them if we don’t buy them.” you tear up.

“Shhh … everything is going to be alright. I will tell the clerk over there to reserve the garden goblins for me. I’ll bring you to my car and go back to get the goblins, okay baby doll.”

“O-okay,” sniffing you hide your face in John’s shoulder. “Sorry, but I like them so much. I want the garden to be colorful and friendly, is all.”

“I like them too, Y/N,” mumbling the words against your hair John inhales your scent deeply. “We will get them all, promised. I want you to be happy at my house. You gave up your new home to be with me, it’s the least I can do.”

“I love our home. It’s just that I’m not used to someone taking care of me. My parents left for Europe years ago without a care, and Marcus he’s – ya know.”

“A bastard,” John grits out, hiding Bobby, Rufus, and Claire took care of your former alpha without John’s permission. “He’ll never hurt you again, no one will as long as I live.”

“See, I got them all,” John shows you the garden goblins in the shopping cart. “And I found one more, the one with the sunflower.” he went back into the store to get everything you wanted after he checked on your wounds.

“There is another biker goblin too,” looking at the figurine you smirk. “You like them, don’t you?” laughing John nods at you.

“Look at that tough guy, Y/N,” getting the goblin out of the cart John laughs as you take it out of his hands. “Bet that guy and the one in our backyard will be a perfect team and protect our little goblins.”

“They will,” nodding you look up at John. “Thank you for everything, John. I know it’s a bit crazy to like the garden goblins so much but after I ran from Marcus, the first thing I saw at a secondhand store was a garden goblin. He was damaged and no one wanted the poor guy, but I liked it.”

“Is it the one you are hiding in your wardrobe?” you nod, embarrassed John found out about your secret. “It’s okay, doll. Everyone needs something to feel better. To me, it’s you and your presence.”

“You make me happy too, John. Incredibly happy and-“ taking his hand in yours you smile, “I feel safe with you, alpha but do you really want me around? We barely know each other, and I don’t want to be a burden.”

“You could never be a burden, Y/N. I will not tell you again that I want you around, omega, okay. You make me happy too, Y/N,” pecking your hair John smiles against you. “Now let’s bring our friends home and we can have lunch. I’ll cook for you. ”

“Aw, your sons look cute,” looking at another picture in John’s photo album you smile. “Sam, he’s got shaggy hair.”

“You know, they are all grown now and far from being cute,” chuckling John watches you look at the pictures again. “Do you-“ clearing his throat John tries to find the right words. “Omega, do you want to have pups? I mean, do you want to have my pups.”

“Pups,” purring you close the photo album to scoot closer to John. “Do you want some? I could have two or three…”

“Whoa, three?” snickering John watches you crawl onto his lap to hide your face in his neck. “We can have as much as you want to, doll.”

“Marcus, he never wanted to talk about babies. When I mentioned having a pup he got mad and threw things around the room before he-“ choking the last words out you fist John’s shirt.

“I should’ve ripped him apart limb by limb. That monster will never touch my girl again. You’re my omega now, Y/N. I’ll protect you and the goblins,” John can feel the tension in your body, so he moves his hand over your back, gently rubs it to calm you. “Everything is alright. You’re safe with me.”

“I know,” sniffing you peck John’s neck. “I feel safe with you, alpha. I know you would never hurt me.”

“I finally found my omega, my true mate. How could I ever hurt you?” nuzzling you John breathes you in. “You’re perfect, Y/N. All I ever wanted and more. Now, do you want more goblins?”

“I think we got enough – for now,” humming John watches you get comfortable on his lap. “Maybe if we find a cute one.”

“Anything for you, doll. Just say the word. This old alpha is all yours…”

“That bastard got what he deserved, John,” Claire shrugs at John’s pissed expression. “What? He almost kidnapped your omega. He hurt and threatened her. Not to forget to mention that monster destroyed her garden goblins.”

“I didn’t give you permission to kill him! What if his father and his men come here to find out who killed his son? We can’t draw too much attention. This sleepy little town is a refugee for us,” John growls. “Marcus Grant senior is not a fool.”

“According to the police report that bastard died in a car accident. His father will never know we taught his son a lesson or two before he bit the dust,” Rufus chuckles. “Believe me, John, we still know how to cover our tracks.”

“I don’t doubt you can cover your tracks, but this doesn’t mean Grant senior will accept his son is dead without digging deeper. What if he comes here to threaten my girl? I swore to never kill anyone again.”

“If that idjit dares to come here, he’ll regret it, John. Rufus, Claire, and I won’t let him ruin our sleepy little town. We are ready to defend our home,” Bobby mutters, pointing at Rufus. “Rufus got a nice shotgun and we don’t want to talk about my collection of guns.”

“I still can cut a bastard open. John Winchester, I will not let anything happen to your omega,” Claire plays with her favorite knife, chuckling as John makes a face. “Don’t worry, we’ve got this. Take care of your omega. She’s all you should worry about right now.”

“Perfect Y/N,” John smiles when you place the last garden goblin next to a cherry tree in John’s backyard. “I never thought my garden could look that nice. You did a great job, doll.”

“You think so,” you grasp John’s hand to squeeze it tightly. “Look, I cleaned your grill and I went to the grocery store and bought meat for you.”

“You’re spoiling me, doll,” smirking John watches you smile happily. “So, we can have a barbecue, huh? Maybe we can invite Bobby, Rufus, and Claire.”

“Sounds great. We could invite your sons too,” gasping you clasp one hand over your mouth, whimpering as you believe John doesn’t want you to meet his sons yet. “Sorry, I know it’s too soon to meet your sons. I shouldn’t have asked.”

“Baby doll, you can ask me anything and,” pecking your temple John smiles, “I called Sam and Dean. They will come around this weekend to meet my omega, my true mate. My sons are both excited to meet you, Y/N.”

“They are?” nodding you look up at John. “I could make dinner for us and pie. Uh-do you like pie? I could look for my granny’s recipe.”

“Dean will love you forever if you bake a pie for him.”

“I only want you to fall in love with me, John,” grinning cheekily John looks down at you. “If only I could find a way to seduce you, alpha.”

“You have my heart, Y/N,” mumbling the words John watches you place your hands onto his shoulders; laughing when you crane your neck to peck his lips. “Always, sweet omega. I don’t want you to do anything to win me over. This is unnecessary.”

“Maybe I want to seduce you,” cocking your head you glance at John’s lips. “I wasn’t always scared and meek. I used to be confident and funny.”

“I would never doubt you’re funny, doll. If you want to seduce me, kiss me again and I’m all yours,” your wrap your arms around his neck, humming happily when he meets you halfway to press his lips to your mouth.

“Nothing, Dad,” Sam whispers, watching you introduce his elder brother to your garden goblins. “We double-checked the police report and had a look at the car-wreck. Bobby did a great job. Grant senior won’t find out his son didn’t die in the accident.”

“Keep taps on him,” John laughs when you show Dean the biker goblin. “I need to be sure Y/N is safe, just like this place. One day I want my sons to take over this town.”

“She’s nice, dad,” humming John watches Dean interact with you. “We are glad you finally found someone. Dean was worried you’ll spend your life alone while jerking off to porn.”

“Sammy,” Dean tuts. “That was a secret. Can you not blur out anything I say?” deadpanning Dean walks toward John and his brother. “Now I want that food Y/N was talking about. She made pie too!”

“Y/N, welcome to the family, and be sure, you’ll not get rid of Dean as you baked him pie. He’s your best friend from now on,” Sam chuckles.

“I love me some pie, sweetheart. Dad, well done. You got yourself a nice, pretty, and smart omega. And she can bake, that makes her the ultimate mate,” grinning Dean pokes his father’s chest. “Bet you can’t wait to have pups with her.”

“Son-“ John grumbles, whispering the next words. “We didn’t so far. I want to take it slow and not scare my omega.”

“Your sons are great. Sammy is so smart, nice and freaking tall. Dean, he’s funny, loves pie, and hugged me repeatedly. He told me about his car and promised to get me a garden goblin with an Impala.”

“They like you too, doll,” your heart swells when John tells you his sons never liked one of his girlfriends before. “Dean asked when we are going to have pups. Sam wanted to know if we plan a spring wedding, and their wives want to come around as soon as possible.”

“Aw, I can’t wait,” crawling under the covers you babble about everything happening tonight while John watches you get comfortable on his bed. “Can we see the kids too? I bet they are as cute as your sons.”

“Uh-omega? Not that I want to complain but don’t you want to sleep in your room? I thought you need space and-“ John purrs when you pat the spot next to you. “Y/N?”

“I want to sleep in your room from now on. I’m not ready for anything else but I wanna sleep in your arms tonight,” swallowing thickly John lies next to you, waiting for you to make the next step. “When my heat is due, I wanna be yours.”

“Be mine,” humming John lets you lie on his chest, sleepily resting your head on his heart. “I like the sound of that.”

Hidden in plain sight Masterlist

Proudly Dean puffs his chest when he walks past his father. Sam left the house moments ago, not wanting to wait for his mother’s judgment.

“So, no sharing?” John carefully tries. He’s looking at his son, nodding silently when Dean points toward his mother’s office. “I will wait for the alpha’s words.”

Your mind races with every step Dean takes closer to his part of the house. Mary, the alpha saved you from the others and it’s a relief but – What about the alpha holding you in his arms?

“You’re safe with me, ‘mega. No one will touch my true mate. Let me bring you to my bedroom and we can have dinner. I don’t want my father and brother close to you again tonight.” Dean whispers and you look over your shoulder to meet John’s eyes.

“What if they do not follow your mother's order?” Choking the words out you wrap your arms tighter around Dean’s neck. “What will they do to me?”

“My mothers’ words, the alpha’s words are final, sweetheart. She decided tonight that you are mine. No one will dare to act against her order, or he’ll die. No matter if it’s her husband or son.”

“Dean, can I talk to your omega for a moment?” Mary’s words sound like a question, but Dean knows, it’s an order. “Only five minutes to clarify a few things.”

Your heart races when Dean whines low in his throat. He fears, just like you, that the head of the family changed her mind. “Please…”

“Calm, Dean. I only want to talk to her in private for a few moments. Let me take her to my private rooms to calm her.” Mary watches Dean reluctantly placing you onto your feet and can see the fear in your eyes when she holds out her hands.

“Maybe she’s not yours…” John whispers, causing Dean to snarl into his father’s direction. “A free omega now enslaved could bring us a lot of money.”

“Silence, omega.” Mary’s face contorts in anger feeling the tremble of your hand. “Go to our room and reconsider your words in front of your alpha. I will have a short conversation with Dean’s omega…”

“Sit over there, Y/N. Take a deep breath and don’t be afraid of me.” Mary sits on a chair opposite the couch she wanted you to sit on. “I have to tell you a few things, make sure you know the rules of our family.”

You nod silently, not wanting Mary to get mad. “Okay…” A single word is all you can choke out when the alpha looks at you. Her gaze too intense for you to hold you glance at your shoes.

“Dean is a good man, he made mistakes and is part of this business but, with you, he seems calmer. My eldest needs someone who tames him, who shows him the ropes of being a good alpha. I think you are headstrong and feisty enough to do so.” Her words let your head snap upwards and Mary chuckles lightly.

“As an alpha, I am used to have control, my dear but…” She gets up to sit next to you. “As a woman, I always had to fight for my rights in this world. The reason why John is the face of our organization is the same that you will have to wear Dean’s mark.”

“Public opinion?” Mumbling the words, you give Mary a cracked smile. “People do not like feisty omegas or strong women.”

“Exactly, sweetie. When my father died, there was no male alpha to take over his empire. Only I was left. John, I met him a few months later and knew, he’s my true mate. I had to have him, even tho, I was like Dean back then.

Independent and not interested in having a permanent partner I drifted through life until I found John. He was a tall man, a strong one. No one would believe he’s omega. I chose him and we agreed he’ll take over the empire in public while I’ll pull the strings behind the scenes…”

“Can I ask you why…” Mary pats your thigh, nodding as she knows what you want to ask her.

“You want to know why John is allowed to have sex with other omegas? He needs it, needs to have control from time to time. He’s a façade, a strong hand in public but my sweet omega when we are together. I can’t be weak, can’t give him control over me, but those girls can.”

“Oh-I see.” You nod silently, not wanting to imagine that your alpha will seek comfort in other girls’ arms.

“Dean is different, Y/N. He’s alpha and used to having control. No need to worry. My son will not be unfaithful. Now…”

Getting up Mary walks toward a commode to open the first drawer. “Take this until Dean puts a mark on your neck. This means you belong to the Winchesters, Dean to be specific.”

Handing you an amulet Mary nods encouragingly. “Wear it inside and outside the house.”

“Thank…you.” With shaking fingers, you put the amulet around your neck. “I…I still don’t know how to feel about this…”

“I know, Y/N. You were a free omega and suddenly Dean bought you but…” Cupping your cheek Mary gives you a soft smile. “He’s your alpha and you are his omega.”

Dean is slowly going insane in front of his mother’s room. He’s pacing, followed by low whines while he waits for you to return.

The door finally opens, and the first thing Dean does is to bring you into his arms. No matter what his mother decided, he’ll fight for you.

“We are done. Now have dinner and find some rest. I think Y/N knows everything she needed to hear to become your omega.” Mary hides the smirk when Dean picks you up to race toward his bedroom.

“What did she say? What did you talk about?” Dean looks you all over after he placed you carefully onto his bed. “Y/N?”

“Girls talk.” Lips pursed you don’t give away Mary counts on you to ‘tame’ her eldest pup. Giggling at the memory of Mary calling Dean pup you try to hide the grin. “I can’t tell you what we were talking about. ”

“You are already conspiring with my mother? How’d I end up being played by my mother and omega?” Whining Dean sits next to you. “Can you not tell me anything?”

Blinking a few times, you watch Dean give you puppy dog eyes. “She called you pup.” Giggling again you shrug when Dean looks at you in awe. “It was kinda cute. That’s all you’ll get.”

“She gave you my necklace.” Dean touches the amulet Mary gave you with shaking fingers. “This means she agreed to our bond.” Purrs leave Dean’s lips when he starts to nuzzle you.

“Can you not smell that…intoxicating?” You try to fight your instinct, but your inner omega takes over and you return every purr from your mate. “Why do you have to do this to me?”

“I am yours, and you are mine, Y/N. Please…” While Dean becomes bold and presses his lips to your mating gland you fist his hair. “Please…”

“I am hungry, Winchester. Your mother, the head of the family, told you to take care of me. Do I have to go to her tell her you wanted to cuddle instead of feeding me?” Dean’s eyes widen and his mouth falls open at your dominant tone.

“No. I-uh… I’ll go to the kitchen with you. You can choose what you want to eat, sweetheart…”

“Crap, we don’t have orange juice. Let me go to the pantry. You can butter the toast.” Dean hates to leave you alone but it’s only for a minute so his eyes dart between the door and you.

“Isn’t that your job?” Bold you grin up at Dean when he realizes what you tried to say. “What?”

He’s grinning wildly, even chuckles as you just made a dirty joke. “You’re a dirty girl, omega. I’d like to butter your toast but for now, I want to eat it.”

Dean walks out of the kitchen, still laughing at your joke while you try to concentrate on the toast.

Your eyes drift toward the window and you wonder if you could go for a run. You are still torn between wanting your freedom back and the way Dean makes you feel. The warm feeling in your belly gets stronger every time he’s close and you are sure, sooner or later you will not be able to resist his scent and the way he looks at you.

Lost in thoughts you giggle at the memory of his dirty grin when you made a joke. “Did you find the juice, or do you want me to help you out?” Your eyes meet darkened hazel ones and you almost drop the toast.

“Look at you, omega, already comfortable in our kitchen.” Sam steps closer, a grin on his lips. “You know that you are no one special to him. Like every other omega, you have to work to get food.” His hands grasp your arms and you drop the toast to the ground.

“Keep the toast and everything else but let me go.” Sam wants to nuzzle you but the necklace around your neck stops him. “I am Dean’s…”

Sam drops his hands to his sides, even steps backward to give you space, and the moment you see your chance you dash toward the door to run back into Dean’s bedroom.

“Y/N?” Watching you curled into a ball, shaking in fear Dean’s stomach tightens. Moments ago, you made a dirty joke and he had the feeling you feel more comfortable around him and now you are scared again. “What happened?” A scent catches Dean’s attention and he leans over you to sniff at your skin. “Sam…”

“He…he said I am no one special and that I have to work for the toast. I…I dropped it. Sorry.” Tears well-up to your eyes when Dean wraps his arms around your shaking body to bring you close to his chest.

Desperate you bury your face into his neck to scent the alpha. He’s slowly running his hands over your hair, arms, and back to calm you. “What did he do?”

“He grabbed my arms and said those things. Then he saw the amulet and let go of me. I ran into your room to feel safe.” Tiny sobs leave your lips and you are close to crying when a knock makes you jump.

“Son, we need to…” John waltzes into Dean’s bedroom, Sam hot on his heels. “You shouldn’t act like a needy omega. Soon you will have enough of that girl and toss her away like the other toys. Stop cuddling and let’s talk like men.”

“Needy omega?” Huffing Dean looks at his father while you refuse to let go of the alpha. “What about you during your heat? Your Alpha treats you with respect, always.”

“Son, do not compare my relationship with your mother with your obsession with that meek girl.” In a split-second, Dean’s head snaps upward and his teeth grit. If not for you holding him in a tight grip, he would’ve attacked his father.

“Sweetheart, I’ll be right back.” Whispering the words against your skin Dean presses soft kisses to your forehead. “Just a minute, Y/N.”

Dean leaves the bed, to guide his father and brother out of the room you were seeking shelter in. You can hear your alpha growl, even snarl while his father and brother remain silent.

Your body is still shaking so you grasp for the sleepshirt Dean is hiding under his pillow to press it to your nose. The alpha’s scent always calms you, even if you would never admit it.

“She’s mine! Live with it or I’ll fight you with all my strength. Our alpha confirmed our bond. Never touch my omega again.” The door slams shut and you only hear low whines when Dean looks at you on his bed.

Still clinging to his shirt you look at the alpha who carefully steps closer. “I smell like him. I don’t like it, Dean.”

“I’ll prepare a shower, okay. You will relax and I’ll call Ellen for food. She will bring it to our room. No need to leave it again.” Slowly sitting up you grasp for Dean’s wrist when he wants to walk toward the bathroom.

“I want to stay by your side.”

“I’ll be waiting outside the room, sweetheart. If you need anything, holler for me. I can bring you more towels or…” You shake your head, grasp for Dean again as he tries to leave the room.

“Can’t you stay? Please.” Sam’s words, the way he treated you and John made you vulnerable again. You don’t know why, but you the thought Dean will leave you alone scares you more than anything else.

“You will be naked, Y/N.” Dean murmurs when you nuzzle your face into his chest. “I should wait outside.” Humming you wrap your arms around the tall alpha, not wanting to let go.

“Don’t make me weak, ‘mega. Have a shower or a warm bath and I promise to wait outside.” He tries again but you shake your head, sniffling. “Baby Girl…”

“I want a bath…but…but stay.” Clinging to Dean you whine when he walks backward to run a bath for you.

He tries so hard to fight your embrace but, in the end, he gives in. “It’s big enough for us. You’ll close your eyes and we can go in…both.” Not accepting any argument, you look up at Dean.

“Jesus, you have me wrapped around your pinkie. Back to back, Y/N. I’ll go in first and you can step inside the tub. No peeking. Promised.” Nodding you let go of Dean and you stand back to back to strip off your clothes.

Dean is nervously chewing on his lower lip when he steps into the warm water, trying so hard not to glance at your naked form when he sits in the bathtub.

“Done, sweetheart. Get in before it gets cold.” Still not opening his eyes Dean listens to your clumsy try to enter the bathtub. Giggles escape your lips, along with a loud squeal as you feel the warm water surround you.

Dean waits for you to sit opposite him but you scoot closer to lean your back against his chest. A sharp intake of breath later he feels your body against his and the alpha purrs low in his throat.

“I want to wash his stink off, alpha. I don’t like it.” Humming Dean gently runs a washcloth over your left arm. “Why is Sam like that? John, I understand. Mary told me about a few things but Sam…he’s…”

“Different since an accident. Five years ago, he lost his mate in a fire. We assume it was Ketch. Sam survived but for Jess, it ended badly. When Sam woke from coma months later, he was a different man. Colder. More calculated. A better mobster but not the man he used to be.” Dean explains while he gently moves the washcloth over your right arm.

“Maybe the loss of his mate changed him.” Soft lips press against your shoulder and you shudder feeling Dean’s hands wander to your stomach. “Dean…” Falling back against Dean’s chest you guide his hands to your chest.

“Not tonight, Y/N. We’ll do this the right way, or we won’t do it at all.” Whispering a promise into your ear Dean hopes Sam learned his lesson after he got a black eye from his big brother…

“Sam.” Mary scolds, looking at the black eye. “What did you think you are doing?”

“I…I was jealous. I still remember how it feels having a true mate. I wanted Dean to feel the pain I felt. It was his fault Ketch was after me and Jess!” Sam snarls through gritted teeth.

“No, it wasn’t Sam.” Sam’s eyes never leave his mother’s face when she gently pats his cheek. “Dean took the blame, but it was me telling your father to not make the deal. They tried to hurt the head of our organization and chose the weakest member…you.”

“It was you?” Sam steps backward, shaking his head furiously.

“I sent all men to your apartment after I got to know Ketch wouldn’t go after John or Dean. I wanted to save you and your mate, but it was too late.

When you stumbled out of the fired, Jess in your arms your brother knew, you would hate me, so he took the blame. It was the best-hidden secret, Sam. If you want to hate someone, hate me. Let Dean have his tiny piece of happiness.” Mary’s eyes sadden watching her youngest fall onto an armchair with a heavy sigh.

“I treated Dean badly, just like any girl he brought here. How could everyone watch me hurting my brother knowing it wasn’t his fault? I would’ve forgiven you but Dean, he said it was his idea to follow Ketch.”

“I think, he tried to make sure you believe it was him. Truth is, he raced toward your apartment without waiting for back-up after I told him Ketch will go after you…”

“I’ll need time to think about a few things. Do not try to contact me while I am away. I will call you if I am ready…” Sam’s words let Mary sniffle but her face remains stoic - she has to be the alpha after all...
