Wendy stared at Peter in shock.  When he told her he had something important to tell her she hadn’t expected to hear anything like this.  She liked Peter, felt like she was in love with him even but she hadn’t thought Peter would return the sentiment or say it out loud.  She still had a hard time wrapping her head around the idea of them being something more than friends.  “You love me,” she repeated out loud trying to get used to the idea.  A smile appeared on her face as she really took in what it all meant.  “I love you too, Peter,” she said wrapping her arms around his neck and giving him a kiss.

The troops were at the base again, and Lois had been tasked to meet with a few of the pilots a nearby bar hosting them a celebration. She’d gotten quite a few quotes and a long story from one of them named, Raf. Boy was he a storyteller. As he directed his attention to the barkeep, she finished scribbling some more notes on her pad as she got up from the stool intending to interview another soldier. In her second step, she managed to bump into someone. Her notepad fell, and she immediately apologizes. “Oh I’m so sorry. I’m so used to multi-taskin’ I need to remind myself I have to actually look up before I walk,” she gushed, before immediately blushing at seeing the boyish smile. “You alright?”

Who’s a muse you play who gets no attention?

The majority of them hail from dead fandoms, so am I allowed to say each one that’s from a show no longer currently airing on television? Haha, but seriously. As long as Scarlett Ewing, Sue Ellen Ewing, and occasionally Natalie Barnes Ewing get interactions, I’m golden. They’re my top three that I pretty much always have all the muse for right now, so there’s that.

Marie was quite embarrassed by the turn of events that happened the night before.  She didn’t normally act like this.  She normally took things a lot slower, maybe just a kiss after a first date if she felt there was a spark.  Casual sex with a guy whose name she didn’t even know, that just didn’t sound like her.  “Oh uh Marie, my name’s Marie,” she said smiling weakly while tugging on her pair of jeans from the night before.  “It was uh nice to meet you, Peter.”  She wasn’t quite sure what you were supposed to say in this situation.  Was she even supposed to have stayed as long as she did?

     business had been significantly slower since the boys had been shipped off to japan, and every day, marley awaited news from overseas. she dreaded any bad news, but just to hear that they made it another day was enough to keep her going. her mom had been helping at the bar more as well, knowing that marley’s mind was in no place to run it on her own.

     today was the day that they were supposed to be shipping the first fleet back home, and although her mom insisted that she go down to the airport to visit, marley couldn’t stomach the possibilities. there was a chance that danny would get off the plane, alive and well. there was a chance that a coffin would be unloaded. there was another chance that danny wouldn’t be in this fleet, whether he would be coming later or he had become a prisoner of war. she would find out in due time when the boys came back for drinks. 

      an afternoon monsoon had been pouring, and marley was out on the porch, using a mop to try to clear off any mud or excess water that was washing up. she saw a car pull up, rafe at the wheel and evelyn as a passenger. she then saw the back doors open. red got out. then, danny. 

      her heart stopped when she saw danny, dropping the broom and running out into the pouring rain. her mom yelled after her, despite her happy laughter. she was soaked, and she had kicked mud up her legs from running as she jumped into danny’s arms, crashing her lips against his excitedly. 

      “  you’re alive, ”   marley sobbed, cupping his face before peppering it with kisses. “ you’re alive . . . “

Evie had been lacing up her shoes trying very hard not to overthink or get her hopes up about what happened the night before.  It had just been a one time thing, there had been a lot of emotions and celebrating, maybe a tiny bit of alcohol that lead to the current situation.  There was no way though that it could mean anything.  Why would Ben want her?  There were lots of other prettier, legitimate princesses over here in Auradon that she couldn’t compete with.  Why would he choose her?  She remembered how everyone had stared at her and the other three VKs when they arrived and it hadn’t gotten that much better with all the adults. 

 “…I’m sorry, what?” she asked looking up at Ben.  She was almost positive she must have misheard him.  “Dating?  I um… I don’t know I guess it could be if you wanted it to.  It would be difficult though.  I mean I doubt most people would approve, probably not your parents.  I wouldn’t want to get you in trouble with them.”
