Hello all!

We admins feel like it’s probably time to make a post letting you guys know that we are officially closing this group for the time being as it’s become one of the many things on our plate that we cannot juggle anymore. We want to thank everyone for their amazing interest and participation in this group-- we are really proud of how well it’s done and one day we might even come back to it. But for now, we will no longer be accepting applications or posting here on the main. 

You are more than welcome to continue with any plots or characters you have if you please- obviously we would have no problem with that! You’re welcome to stay on the OOC discord as well and keep in touch with each other, we will leave that up for that purpose. 

It’s been a wonderful ride and we can’t thank you enough! You all made us such proud admins- you’re a wonderful group of people.

Aloha Students!

Since we have a few new faces around campus here I thought it might be best to give a little update regarding the timeline!

Currently the month we are in Hawaii time is August 2018. Due to being aware of some of our students currently still working on their event contributions, we’ve decided to extend our week until the 28th to give everyone a little more time. (Also please note that if it still takes you longer to finish up that’s quite alright! We are all about time lording and having fun here at Aloha State. We are in no rush to go anywhere-- just to have fun!) Due to this- as of May 28th real time we are currently beginning the fourth week of August (19th-25th).

Also we will be announcing our first student project very soon! (We’re hoping for today but as real life things get in the way it could be Monday.) 

Please remember that if you have any questions to never hesitate to ask us here or via the OOC Discord. We are always happy to help! Have fun, students and faculty! Mahalo!

Orientation-

The awkward get-together before the start of the semester where new students and returning students alike can mingle and connect with one another.

Here at Aloha State Arts, we celebrate our new students with a festive gathering involving food trucks from local vendors, booths highlighting various student clubs and organizations, and even one of our local radio stations, FM 93.9 “The Beat”. Please feel free to hang out and get to know your fellow students before we announce our first day of school.

Welcome New Students!

Once again, that does it for this round of acceptances! We are so happy to welcome our new students to Aloha State School of Arts! We’re still always looking for more to join us so don’t hesitate to send in those applications!

Aloha Students!

First we would like to thank those of you who participated in our first project and we’d like to remind those who didn’t that if you ever would like to you absolutely always can! We are very excited to announce our second project of the semester! Under the cut you will find the details of this assignment and even some suggestions/examples! Please don’t hesitate to contact us via the main or the OOC Discord with any questions you might have! Remember, this is all for fun and while it’s highly encouraged to participate it is not mandatory.

Student Project 002 - Self Para

For our next student project we would like to give you the chance to exercise your writing and storytelling skills! All you have to do do is write a self para! The requirements are simple- we would like to see at least 4-5 decent sized paragraphs but you are more than welcome to pile on some more! 

SUBJECT MATTER: Defining moments

Let’s dive into our muse’s back story a bit! When your muse looks back on his or her life-- what one moment that pops into their mind first? Maybe something wonderful happened that changed the course of their life? Maybe something awful happened? Maybe it was something parent related or significant other related, maybe it was in high school, middle school, or when they were children. 

The possibilities are endless!

There is no deadline for this project currently and we ask that you tag your aesthetic with alohastateproject2. All posts will be reblogged to our main once completed as to show off your work to our visitors! You can find a couple of examples of self paras here: (X,X) Please note that one of them deals with sensitive material such as unwanted touching and kissing and might be triggering for some. Proceed with caution.

Aloha ASSA ‘ohana!

We hope that you enjoyed our first event! We understand that some are still in the process of finishing up paras for the event and that is quite alright! Just remember to date any paras from the mixer for August 17th! We’re officially moving into our first week of school! Today (May 28th) begins the week of August 19th in Hawaii time! We do not have an event as of right now but we will be announcing the next soon!
