been spending my winter reading about early polar exploration and decided to break up my book streak with The Terror and i think i came at this show with a different expectation than most others who hear abt it from tumblr do. like. i actually knew about that fuck ass bear. what i somehow didn't know was how explicitly homosexual it was. like what do you MEAN a historical fiction show about real actual once-living men doomed to perish on an inhospitable plane of ice has a scene where one man mercy kills another by sensually massaging his throat to help him swallow poison while both men maintain the kind of eye contact usually reserved for full on penetration
