The first time I saw Godard's "Breathless" it was at "The Circle" movie theatre on Pennsylvania Ave. in DC in the late 60's. For months I did emulate Belmondo's gesture of caressing his lower lip with his thumb. His recent death made me feel vulnerable and missing the wonder I experienced in watching some of his films. So I felt the need to do a program with music from some of his films.
