1D Monthly Fic Roundup

Hi, and welcome to the 1D Monthly Fic Roundup! 

We’ve put together this blog to collect all new One Direction fics on a monthly basis, which we will then put into a masterpost that will be posted on the 28th of each month. There are so many incredible fics and incredible fests going on, this blog is a chance to put all those fics in one place to ensure that fewer fics slip through the cracks!

Please note the following:

This is a submission-based list. The mods will not be monitoring any blogs or using a specific tag to track down new fics. Only fics that are submitted to the blog will be included in the monthly posts. Fics included will be listed in the order they’re submitted to us. If you are submitting on behalf of a writer, please have their consent to do so.

Please submit your fic and rebloggable fic post (if you have one) through a submission to this blog. If we received your submission, we will reblog your fic post. If the post has not been reblogged, please contact the blog via ask. 

* If you have issues with submission via mobile/app, please submit via desktop, an ask to the blog, or in a dm to mod @allwaswell16​ 

Your fic must be tagged appropriately. The roundup will include title, pairing, rating, word count, summary, and a link to your fic.

All One Direction pairings are welcome including gen, as long as the main pairing includes one member or former member of One Direction.

We will post the roundup on the 28th day of each month. In order to be included, your fic must be a new fic published in the same month you submit the fic to us. If your fic is published after the 27th of the month, your fic will be included in the following month’s post.

If your fic is a work in progress, we will include your fic twice: once when you publish your first installment and then a second time when you complete the fic. Please note we will not include it for every update of the fic.

If your fic is anonymous, you as the writer can choose to either submit it during the month it first posted and it will be listed as anonymous OR during the month it is revealed if it’s in a different month than it was posted.

If you are a fic fest moderator, you can submit a link to a masterpost for us to reblog, and the fest will be included as part of the monthly roundup post as links to the collection and masterpost. Please wait until the fest is completed before submitting.

appreciative fic writers

So I have a friend who has had some bad experiences commenting on fics she’s read in our fandom. And it’s made her very shy of reading and commenting in our fandom now. I know what happened is that she ran into a couple of douche canoes to start out with, but what I want to do is make a fic rec of appreciative writers who would really appreciate her comments on their fics.

Her comments are all lovely and positive and often l o n g. I know for most of us, she is an ideal reader! I’ll be making a fic rec that I will post here on my blog.

So please consider filling out this form if you’re a One Direction fic writer who responds to their comments and doesn’t mind effusive praise!

(I know writers can get behind on replying! I just mean if you reply at all. I know some lovely writers that have too much anxiety to reply. I’m not at all saying you’re not appreciative, too! However, for this rec I need writers who will respond to comments.)
