we're back with yet another subplot preview! we've got subplots that span a variety of industries and occupations to hopefully give folks the most chance of getting involved if they want to, so we hope you enjoy them! as always, if you have any questions please send us an ask!

infinite hope (subplot #2)

cw: closeted queerness and public outing during production for "the great gatsby" (2025), an interview mishap goes viral, accidentally outing one of the film's leads as bisexual and connecting him romantically to another actor in the film. this has a ripple effect throughout production, as many of the cast (even those uninvolved directly in the scandal) face public scrutiny and have to try to maintain professionalism while trying to remain focused on the project. subplot roles: "jay" / the film's star who is famously very private about his personal life. has a reputation for being abrasive and often difficult to work with and does not take kindly to public scrutiny. has been linked to nick purely by public speculation and occasional sightings of them together, but rumors start to fly in the wake of the interview going viral. "simon" / a publicist who represents jay and has their work cut out for them. is good friends with jay but spends much of their time monitoring the things he says publicly and trying to do damage control. "nick" / one of the film's leads who has recently skyrocketed in popularity due to roles in other notable films. has always been relatively comfortable with his sexuality, but has kept it hidden publicly out of concern for his image (a decision that he made years ago at the start of his career and now regrets). is outed as bisexual during the interview and is subsequently romantically linked to jay. "amy" / a publicist who represents nick and works very hard to maintain his image. has to manage publicity following the outing, as well as help him navigate his career and personal life. is not a big fan of jay because of his disregard for his own public image, and concerns about how that will thereby impact nick's. "daisy" / one of the film's leads who becomes fast friends with nick and is a source of support during this whole ordeal. plays jay's romantic interest and does not get along with him offscreen. "jordan" / another star of the film and close friends with nick (and potentially jay as well). is outspoken publicly following the outing and is very protective of her friends in the cast. "taylor" / the journalist who accidentally outs nick during a livestreamed panel by asking about queer representation. likely faces professional and personal consequences, as well as extreme public backlash, following the interview. we are currently accepting applications!

you should try adding 'new rp' and 'western rp' to your promos, and maybe advertising through other blogs like allthingsroleplay? might get more traffic in!

Hey there! We advertise a bit through new rp and western rp tags — we're really cautious about not flooding the tags so I (Reckless) tend to check to make sure that there's posts between our promos in the tags we that use. I considered allthingsroleplay, however, I thought it was geared more around jcink rp, so I didn't pursue it harder. I'll give it a harder glance, and thank you for the suggestions, these are helpful!

whats jcink? im super interested in finding a new roleplay platform .. anyone kind enough to explain? // it's a forum host. you can find some good examples over at @rpings or @allthingsroleplay if you're curious (they're both ad blogs). there aren't many places marketed as krp, and they're all pretty exclusively oc, but you will find places that are using primarily asian face claims.

you forgot allthingsroleplay tumblr in your roleplay is dead thread. they advertise jcink roleplay forums and have been the biggest, most active tumblr advertisement source for years

Just to be clear, this was a reblog! AllThingsRoleplay was missed, but not by me! I don't think I've some outsized influence RE the Jcink RPC, but just in case, the original post certainly does miss AllThingsRoleplay & the link is here; It is a useful resource on tumblr if you're seeking JcinkRP.

AllThingsRoleplay is always the same dozen sites with the same awful graphics. very few engaging or original ideas. are most rpers going private at this point? very bizarre to see so few ads and such shit quality. // ngl I didn't even know what AllThingsRoleplay was lol you might wanna look through other rp ad sites and blogs// atr is the most active ad blog. how do you not know what it is? most of the people on the sites i'm on came from IC or ATR. they are the only places worth advertising on

 Theme & Pages Commission: All Things Roleplay (April 2022)

- I had the pleasure of designing and coding a personal theme for @allthingsroleplay ! They also wanted additional navigation and affiliate pages that I coded for them as well. I provided them a custom wavy title and sidebar images that I made in photoshop for them as well. I had fun creating this for them.

Inspiration: We gathered inspiration for the theme from Retro UI on Behance, I got inspiration for the sidebar from Mindfulness Issue 76 on Dribbble.

Credits: After the commission was over, they added other features to the theme themselves such as their pagination, like button, back to top button, tumblr controls and sidebar toggle style updates and more. For all the specific things they added themselves in the theme, they gave me the links and in under the cut are links to respective coders and makers for those added elements.
