#13 Portraits d’humanité

Voici les titres des 8 textes inédits que j’ai rédigé pour la pièce « Portraits d’humanité » du théâtre de Chaoué et que j’interprète pour la première fois les 17 et 18 janvier à 18h à la salle Jean Carmet à Allonnes (72) en compagnie de 8 comédiens :

  Je suis fier d’avoir réussi à répondre à cette commande professionnelle émise par le metteur en scène Bastien Chrétien. Les textes me plaisent, correspondent à mon univers tout en glissant vers d’autres horizons. Cela représente près de 400 heures de travail réparties en un an, ce qui est énorme. J’y parle de la banlieue de manière poétique, grinçante, décalée, mélancolique et humoristique.

 C’est une création où l’on rit beaucoup. Elle a été sujet à de nombreux débats en interne notamment parce qu’elle résulte de témoignages réels. Où s’arrête la réalité ? Où commence le théâtre ? Peut-on tout dire ? Comment ?

#10 Artiste associé

Je suis désormais artiste associé au théâtre de Chaoué de la ville d’Allonnes (72) aux côtés de l’auteur Hervé Blutsch et du danseur Mourad El Mrini.

Mais comment ça « associé » ?

  Il s’agit d’un statut me propulsant partenaire privilégié du lieu de création en question. Comme l’a si bien expliqué France Culture, « les artistes ont besoin de maisons pour les soutenir, les maisons ont besoin des artistes pour proposer des nouveaux spectacles et identifier clairement leur programmation ». Il s’agit d’un échange fait de droits et de devoirs.

  Ce que cela m’apporte :

  - une participation aux créations scéniques du théâtre. Je rejoins ainsi la distribution de la pièce « Portraits d’humanité » en tant que comédien ET auteur puisque j’écris une partie du texte en étant rémunéré pour. Une intégration valorisante qui, je l’espère, donnera des idées à d’autres metteurs en scène. D’autres pistes de création ont été évoquées sachant que le lieu salarie une chargée de diffusion pour vendre les spectacles

  - la prise en charge d’une partie des « jumelages » (c’est-à-dire des actions en milieu scolaire) sur le format « école du spectateur ». Chaque atelier est lié à un spectacle programmé par le théâtre. J’interviens avant, après, j’accompagne les élèves pendant la représentation et leur propose des temps de pratique entretemps afin qu’ils puissent mieux saisir les tenants et aboutissants de la proposition artistique    

  - une voix au chapitre dans la programmation du théâtre. Je peux suggérer à l’équipe des spectacles qui me paraissent en adéquation avec sa ligne artistique

  - la possibilité d’organiser un temps fort autour de ma pratique. Un événement faisant la part belle à le poésie urbaine dont je rêve depuis un moment. Trop court pour cette saison mais j’y songe très sérieusement pour 2020 – 2021

  - la mise à disposition gracieuse d’un bureau pour écrire (avec internet). Cela paraît dérisoire mais pour le freelance que j’ai longtemps été, séparer son lieu de vie de son lieu de travail est un luxe (mentalement bénéfique)

  - la mise à disposition gracieuse de salles pour créer et répéter. Avec accès plus ou moins formel. « J’ai besoin de répéter demain, l’Atelier est libre ? – De 14h à 16h, yes ». LUXE J’AI DIT

  - un regard extérieur sur mes propres productions scéniques puisque les directeurs de Chaoué sont tous deux metteurs en scène

  En retour, je fais partie intégrante de l’équipe artistique. Je me dois donc d’être présent aux différentes réunions et d’apporter mon soutien logistique quand cela est nécessaire en accueillant par exemple le public sur un spectacle, en déposant des flyers ou en supervisant l’organisation d’un événement. Un esprit associatif qui me convient et qui me permettra, j’en suis certain, de rencontrer plein de gens.

 Je suis très heureux de rejoindre cette famille artistique après six ans à opérer seul dans mon coin. Il est encore tôt pour évoquer quelle part de production aura Chaoué sur mon travail personnel. L’idée étant d’abord de jouer collectif, « chacun son tour ». Cela dit, ce nouveau statut va grandement contribuer au renouvellement de mon intermittence. Sans être une cage non plus : je reste libre de travailler avec qui je veux y compris avec d’autres compagnies.

 Je termine ce billet en précisant que nous ne sommes même pas dix slameurs en France à bénéficier d’un tel dispositif. L’association entre théâtre et slam me paraît pourtant d’une richesse évidente. Ce n’est pas le cas de tout le monde. Je suis heureux que mon territoire ait cette ouverture d’esprit.

  Un grand merci à Bastien Chrétien et Pierre Bacheviller ainsi qu’à celles et ceux qui suivent et soutiennent HDW depuis dix ans maintenant.

L’aventure ne fait que continuer.

cloudy morning – breakfast over at 10 ¼ in about an hour – before and ¼ hour after wrote out p. 230 of this volume – (vide yesterday and this day week) – A- anxious to go to the top of the cathedral to see the iron roofing put on – out at 10 40 and took our 2 servants – never dreampt of difficulty in getting permission – an order given yesterday at 5pm for nobody to be allowed to go up - .:. obliged to give it up – sent home the servants and A- and I walked about the old streets – narrow and steep – many of them impossible to carriages even carts of the present day – bought strawberries and basket in the marchée, a goodish square place – returned by the r. du Grand Carf to the carossier Martin whose shop we had passed and observed yesterday in returning (another way than that by which we went) from the cathedral – went about a volet – seeing that our pole-end would never be secure till the volet was differently fixed – bought volet, and had one of Martins’ men to fix it properly saw to this (Martin a nice sort of man and his head man who came a civil good workman) – and then came upstairs and from 1 ½ to 2 25 wrote to line 28 ½ of p. 231 of this volume – Had Martins’ man upstairs and paid him – he had worked in Paris – a good nice little open carriage that was close – carry 4 inside and 2 outside (a light caléche) would cost 2000 or 3,000 chez Martin – off from Chartres in drizzling rain at 2 35 – one might sleep at Artenay à l’hotel de la grande Fontaine if not able to reach Orelans (Boule d’or recommended by Meurice) – Chartres to Allonne – ‘petit pays’ said our postilion  – not a carriage once a month – had to wait for horses 35 minutes – had better send a man forward

to order horses – I calculated – this would be 1/50 per poste for the horse and as much for the man = 13/. not worthwhile – the horses had come in 20 minutes but the people were ¼ hour in harnessing – Allaines also a little country village (‘petit pays’) but no waiting! off in ten minutes and we are seldom quicker anywhere – the road not good between Allonne and Allaines but worse from the latter place – rarely safe to try any but the great high roads on the continent unless one has a rattle-trap carriage of the country – no wood – no beauty but good night land (light brown colour) pretty well farmed clover and corn the latter chiefly rye – at Artenay at 6 ¼ once more on la grande route so our postilion  asked if I would not now have 2 postilion s! no! – Artenay a stirring little thoroughfare town, my book says of 1500 inhabitants – pass ‘l’hotel de la grande Fontaine’ a shabby looking little place – but there seems to be a cour? we might perhaps have slept there – glad to have time not to try it – they said at Chartres it was merely an auberge – 6 minutes in changing horses - + Still same sort of country to Chevilly (apple trees occasionally along the roadside but not thriving looking as if they liked the soil) one long street of good village – off again in 6 minutes at 7 58 pass thro’ forest on leaving Chevilly, the 1st wood since Chartres – vines at 835 and enter long faubourg of Orleans at 8 40 ¼ hour long, and then at 8 55 pass the barrier gate into la ville d’Orelans and raser l’hotel de France at 9 – had thought to avoid Meurices’ line – but l’hotel de France did not look inviting so drove into the cour of the Boule d’or – went in to see the rooms – beds at 2/. for A- and myself – no! not in this house (said the mistress) and seeing little inclination on her part very to be civil – Je vous soulait le bon jour Madame, said I, and ordered off the carriage which had difficulty in backing out – tried the hotel de France – 3/. per bed in double bedded room + 2/. for the servants beds, and nothing looked fresh and nice – off aux 3 empereurs – same prices – but one room à 2 lits nice enough with a little cabinet to wash in – so took this at 9 20 glad to be settled for the night – had a little salon to dine in – and as comfortable as we could be in any smallish double bedded room – dinner at 10 to 11 – the 4 mutton cutlets so hard we could not eat them – dined the morsel of fricandeau de veaux tolerable of its kind – they are terribly gone off in cooking in France – terribly spoilt by the au naturel, English plan – for which French meat not good enough – fair and finish tho’ cloudy till about one – drizzling rain from about 1 ¼ pm more or less till about 6 am afterwards pretty fair and fine F66 ½° at 12 tonight
