Now, let’s look at another talking point here:

Spurs castaway Juan Foyth just won a World Cup.

Lisandro “Too Short For The Premier League” Martinez just won a World Cup.

5’7” Lionel Messi (my height) just won a a World Cup and is cemented as the GOAT.

Alexis “He Plays For Brighton” Mac Allister just won a World Cup.

Angel Di Maria, considered by some a Manchester United flop, just won a World Cup.

Lionel Scaloni from Pujato, a small town in Santa Fe Province, lost to Liverpool in the FA Cup final when he played for West Ham (I remember that), was only played once in the 2006 World Cup as a player, didn’t even make the shortlist for FIFA’s Best Football Coach award after winning the Copa America against Brazil in 2021, JUST WON A WORLD CUP.

This was the team for second chances, for the people who were written off, underestimated, never given a chance, doubted or were just late bloomers. This was the team for everyone who was ever told they can’t do it because they’re “too this” or “too that,” or because they “haven’t yet” or “never did.” This was the underdogs’ team. 🙌🏾

Album Review: Rumours by Fleetwood Mac

i figured i’d kick my reviews off with one of my all time favorites. i consider this album one of my “evergreens” since it never seems to lose its place in my heart. i know this one is sort of a “no brainer” when it comes to favorite albums, but that’s all for good reason. this album is a classic, and quite possibly the closest humans will ever be to creating a masterpiece. it’s clear why so many people love this album, and its story is even more compelling.

first of all, it’s a wonder this album even exists. the fact its so good is even more of a mystery to me. let’s set the stage shall we? it’s 1976, and fleetwood mac has come together to write an album. only problem is, pretty much everybody has a problem with somebody else in the band. stevie nicks and lindsey buckingham, as well as christine and john mcvie, had split up (while his ex may not have been in the band, mick fleetwood was also going through a divorce while recording this album). yeah, imagine trying to write an album with your ex. and double it. imagine the tension in that room. no wonder they wanted to credit their dealer as one of the reasons the album came to be. take this as a warning kids, don’t date your bandmates. it never ends well.

but the strange predicament fleetwood mac found themselves in gave them a unique writing opportunity. christine, lindsey, and stevie were all writing songs for other bandmates. so, you get an album that’s essentially letters from different people experiencing heartbreak. i also find it funny that they basically wrote diss tracks for each other while the other had to play it with them. like taylor swift thinks she’s cool for writing songs about her exes? stevie nicks was singing songs about lindsey buckingham, and he was up there playing guitar with her. that’s a major power move.

regardless, fleetwood mac turned their heartbreak into a beautiful album. it truly goes to show much emotion and music go hand in hand. humans are always turning their lives into art, and i think that’s pretty neat. it also shows just how incredibly talented the band was. most people probably wouldn’t have even survived making an album in that situation, let alone a timeless classic.

when you think of the 70s, odds are you’ll think of rumours. it’s a walking paradox, really. it perfectly encapsulates that 70s rock sound, but seems untouched by time completely. rumours is still a beloved album, with plenty of young folks today embracing its messy beauty. but why? i assume one of the reasons is that it’s just that good. but i also feel as though its message is universal. everyone, from any point in time, has experienced heartbreak. who doesn’t like putting on a good song and getting in the feels? that kinda thing transcends time.

rumours became an iconic album, and one very close to my heart. maybe it’s my old soul talking, but i really hope this album will continue on forever. long live fleetwood mac.

(ps, if you wanna count it as a rumours song, sliver springs is my pick for the best live performance of a song ever. i’m obsessed with it.)

I just saw someone here on Tumblrrr asking if there's another show similar to 'The Judge From Hell'

And people mentioned shows like 'My Demon' and some other random supernatural creature meets human.

Then I even saw someone recommend 'The Devil Judge'...

LISTEN... While 'The Devil Judge' is insanely GOOD, it's definitely not the same thing. It's got a more realistic-ish twist to it[aka- no supernatural beings anywhere to be found], and most of the main characters are male. [not a bad thing, but it is something I do take points off for. Like... Diversity failure = Check. ] There's male-centered series I'll give a pass to because they include faves, but I will still give them points off for that. If your female characters are just there for decoration, I'm not into it. Fortunately, this series features one of my favorite female villains of all time. So yes, watch this.

What I'm wondering though, is why they didn't recommend 'Hotel Del Luna'. It's similar to 'The Judge From Hell', but in a more uh...

how can I put it so the children of today can understand? Uh....

'More Cutesy, Very Demure.' hnnn?

Jang ManWol[played by IU!] is not a demon, but she might as well be. She takes on humans the same way Justitia does, but unlike Justitia who has full on power to kill the BAD humans, ManWol is only allowed to vanish spirits, not humans. If spirits are crazy/angry trying to hurt humans, ManWol kicks their asses. The actual killing of humans is done by another entity. However, just like Justitia, who has her own clean up crew, ManWol also has similar entities working that way for her.

So... Watch 'Hotel Del Luna' that's one of the better options out there. That is, if you want to watch a Bad Ass Boss Bitch type character.

If you just want the Supernatural creatures meet humans [usually all humans being female] then you can watch all those other offerings like 'My roommate is a Gumiho', 'My Demon', 'Tale of The Nine Tailed', etc. [be warned, most of these are insanely cliche, but who knows you might be into that.].

NOW, if you're into harsher more amazing takes on the demon meets humans, and are not afraid of a few TWs... More like.. a lot of TWs adorning your screen every other episode, then I really recommend 'Girl From Nowhere'. That show... THAT SHOW... That show is INSANE! but so good. Very very good. Yes, it will give you trauma, that's why the TWs! BUT, it makes you love the main badass character.

Nanno [played by Chicha Amatayakul] is... PRACTICALLY The DEVIL. Like legit. Her antics are overboard and she has a CUTE AF laugh.

So yeah... The best bet, in my opinion is watch 'Hotel Del Luna' for a very fun supernatural type series, and watch 'The Devil Judge' for a more realistic-ish take on a judge that goes hard on criminals. And if you are braver 'Girl From Nowhere', where The Devil literally plays with humans, making them live up to their worst potential.

also i had whats probably the sweetest conversation ive ever had with my grandpa at dinner. we’ve never directly talked about me being trans but i called him and my grandma as we were on the way to get my top surgery to tell them that i was getting it. my mom and i lived with my grandparents for the first 7 years of my life and we were very close, and then we moved away until 3 years ago when we moved 4 houses away from them.

anyway, my grandpa and grandma came and picked me up and my grandpa opened the car door for me and helped me into the car cuz im still sore which was sweet. and we got to the restaurant and all that and he asks if im in any pain and listens super intently as im explaining. he’s unusually quiet. i tell them about how i got one long incision across my chest and that im having a hard time being patient and going easy. the subject changes.

we start talking about tv shows and he asks if ive ever seen the umbrella academy (of course i have.) he says he really likes it and he just finished it. he asks if ive seen the character Viktor on there because he transitions in the show from one season to the next and changes his name and did you know the actor is trans in real life? Page is his last name. and he didn’t have to say anything else for me to feel the weight off my shoulders. and i just thought that was sweet.

Why I’m a Vessel Stan

.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.

because i’ve been active in the clique for so long, i’m often asked “so what’s your favorite album?” and my answer has always been the same. vessel. i’ve been a clikkie for over a decade, and vessel has always been my number one. i think that’s partly due to the fact it has some advantages over the other albums. for me, at least. for example, it was my first introduction to the band. i was 13/14 years old, and i was scrolling through vine. yes, vine was a thing at the time, that’s how long ago it was lol. one of the videos i came across used audio from ‘migraine.’ i was hooked immediately. i vividly remember the part i heard was “sometimes to stay alive you gotta kill your mind.” my little sad self was definitely digging the vibe. beyond just the lyrics, it was something i had never heard before. tyler’s voice and the way he sang was so unique to me. i just had to know who this guy was. so, i gave it a quick google search, and the rest is history.

vessel also has my favorite tøp song ever… my sweet baby car radio. i’ve loved car radio for years, and it’s given me plenty of good memories. i even chose it as my monologue for theater class lol. car radio has always been one of my favorites to see live, and getting to high five tyler during it definitely earns some bonus points. it was also the first song i learned on the drums that i felt very proud of. i’d been playing super simple stuff up until then, so that felt like a real accomplishment at the time.

if i hadn’t have found that random vine, my life would’ve been much different. granted, i’d probably be significantly less annoying, but no where near as happy. i’ve met so many great friends through the clique. i’ve also had life changing experiences. i became a drummer because of this band, and that ultimately changed my life in so many ways. i’m now playing in bands and recording my own music, all because i randomly stumbled upon an album one day. i probably wouldn’t be running this blog/youtube channel, had it not been for the pilots. oh, and running a semi famous fan account that got me on MTV was a pretty fun side quest. that was interesting. although the “tinydun” legacy will haunt me forever.

but thank you, vessel. this weird, beautiful journey started because of you. and because of that, you’ll always be my favorite <3
