#ancient detective#侠探简不知#cdrama#wuxia#honestly I really loved this introduction to zhan shiqi#the woman is actually riding the horse#unlike the polo scenes from minglan where not a single human face was in frame with a horse's face#this show is pretty silly but it's been awhile since I've watched a wuxia show#and I like that it's really leaning into the wuxia-ness of it all#and the silliness#all those gravity-defying wirework duelsin the first ep had me feeling a little nostalgic#also that dude pretending to be a zombie reminded me of all those HK zombie comedies I watched as a kid
