Eyebrow Routine
So I recently posted my makeup and hair care routine. I’ll post my eyebrow routine here.
I’ll explain how I went from this:
To this:
These are my natural brows in both pics. They are not filled in with any eyebrow powder or gel.
I’ll get to the products in a minute. But first I wanted to go over how I chose my shape and what my “ideal” eyebrow looks like.
I used this website as a reference:
https://www.eyebrowz.com/faceshape.htm
I have an oval shaped face. So the "best" eyebrow shape for me is a soft angle (according to the site above). A soft angled eyebrow look is shown below:
The photo is from the Eyebrowz site. The model has an oval face shape and soft angled brows.
So I tried recreating this look on myself. I like a lifted brow with a soft arch, medium in thickness and regularly trimmed so they don't look dense and bushy, given that my brows grow a bit too fast and thick.
While it did take a few months, I finally found a shape I am happy with.
Growing up I used to play with my eyebrows a lot and never had a good shape or structure to them. They were either overplucked or very messy looking.
So here are the products I use to shape my brows:
I use this toothbrush to separate my strands so I can trim any long ones and to make my brows look tidy, even and well groomed. This is not the same toothbrush I use to brush my teeth!
I use these scissors to trim any long strands. I make sure not to overtrim though so my brows to have any bald spots.
I use this blade to shave any strands outside of my main eyebrow shape. I also use it to exfoliate the skin in that area.
I use these tweezers to pluck any stray or unwanted strands.
I hope this routine made sense, it’s quick and simple but figuring out the right eyebrow shape for you can be hard.
