the sandhill cranes are back! I got to see some mating displays, which apparently involve tossing things in the air and hopping around (ļ½”>ć®< )
#my photography!#bird photography#birding#birds#sandhill crane#I went at sunset instead of dawn for the first time (with my camera) and it was so great#the light wasn't great for my old camera but all the people cleared out and it was so serene#and the frogs! gosh after the sun went down they immediately got louder#and their ribbiting echoed off the water and it was wonderful all around me#and when the sun was setting all the swallows got one last meal in#and once it was too dark for me to see for the most part I saw the bats ( ā”āā” )#I could hear them sort of fluttering around me#and I could hear geese flying around even though I couldn't see them#it was amazing I'm excited to go again
