1: platforms made by me. apple wood legs and a thin stone top. theyre smooth but im hoping itll keep nails short
2: inside view of trying to arrange things. bendy bridge and two logs made by me. birch slice from the gift store at work, hide from niteangel (i cant cut circular holes or i woulda made it myself)
3: i think im going to have one platform in from of the hide and connected by a bridge (made by me). this increases floor space and gives me something to do w the bridge
4: a different angle of 3 (i had the stone on cardboard bc its not glued together yet)
5: the very cute little dishes i got for water and fresh food (i plan on scatter feeding normal seed mix) (from a thrift store for 25¢ each)
6: other side with another stone platform (will prob be substrate level instead of raised, will have the water dish on it), the platform for my wheel (hasnt arrived yet but its an 11" silent spinner from niteangel (they were out of 12" :/)), entrance to the peekaboo tunnel or w/e its called (i also have the niteangel cardboard tunnels on the way that ill connect to it), grapevine (from work gift shop), and a glass candy dish for a sand bath
main base is a ikea detolf turned on its back. lid made by me because i wanted to max out the amount of bedding i could fit in a detolf (currently 200 liters of clean and cozy mixed timothy hay and orchard grass, but i have aspen shaving and moss/lichen ill put in when i have everything assembled and arranged how i want). i need some more hides to put around and chews and toys and things but ill get those later. i have apple wood sticks and slices but i should get some more varied things.
all the wood is apple wood i collected and cut myself from an organic apple orchard owned by a a guy i know. everythings been sanitized to the best of my ability and ill be filling all the cracks and holes w moss. stone is from a landscape and building stone store owned by a guy i know (its actually the same guy as the orchard).
i have a real fancy handmade seed mix ordered from etsy + a flowers and herbs mix from the same shop. decided against sprays for rn bc expensive but maybe eventually.
anyone got any suggestions for other things i should add or change? i should mention i dont have a hamster yet
