Before Hermitcraft, Mumbo was just a kid wandering around server to server, trying to make a name of himself. He was constantly moving, constantly running around doing things. He liked the adventure and travelling, sure, but that didn't mean he didn't feel like he was missing. Like he wasn't lonely. He was looking for a place that he can call his home.

There was Geomine, but that soon ended and he had to go on the run again, that I'd until Xisuma, one of the people he looked up to, invited him to join Hermitcraft.

It was scary at first, but as the years went on and as he got older, Mumbo soon fell more and more in love with this place. Although he went on a hiatus away from the server in s9, travelling like he used to when he was a kid without a home, he found his way right back to the server, and he wasn't at all upset.

Mumbo finally found his place, his family, and he was happy to call this place, these very chaotic people on the server, his home
