Rating how likely Ash's companions are to date him

Starting from the beginning

Misty 5/10 I think theyd date for like a month straight except Ash would not realize any of their excursions were dates nor would he know they are dating. He'd only find out via her kissing him after like the 5th date and then there'd be this big embarrassing revelation, and the two would immediately choose to pretend none of this had ever happened.

Brock 0/10 he is a whole 5 years older and strictly into women

Tracey 0/10 approximately 5 years older than Ash and therefore he'd never consider it but i do think hes bisexual and i just need to put that out there.

May 0/10 they are SO siblings core you cannot convince me otherwise. I will fight you if you say otherwise.

Max 2/10 Max would have one of those cute younger kid crushes on Ash if not for the fact that Max is too smart for that

Dawn 7/10 its very obvious to everyone around them that they are dating and actively so. But both of them think this is normal friend behavior. But eventually Dawn realizes shes just been using him cuz of her own comphet and shes actually a lesbian. He didnt even notice tho so honestly its fine. They have a conversation about it and the phrase "no need to worry" gets used no less than 3 times

Iris -12/10 the mere idea of going on a date with Ash would make her vomit

Cilan 0/10 hes even older than brock

Serena 4/10 like she obvi has that crush on him so she wants to date him. However I think she'd be way more clear in asking him out. And would probs not count any potentially datelike excursions as dating cuz she wants him to be 100% aware and into her too. Unfortunately for her this will never happen cuz hes gay.

Clemont 10/10 Ash had a huge crush on him and Clemont enjoys the attention

Bonnie -5/10 i think she would also be sick at the idea of dating Ash, regardless of age

I actually havent seen most of the alola stuff but imo they are all very found family no one would date ash

Goh 9/10 he is literally in love with ash

Chloe 0/10 maybe a 2 if you count all the times she undoubtedly winds up thirdwheeling ash and goh

Overview:

To be totally honest, I have never listened to My Chemical Romance until I reviewed this album. I had a biased prejudice towards the group, based on my false beliefs that they were just another douchy, Coldplay sound-alike. And boy was I wrong…

The band in itself gives me major Green Day vibes, as well as many others. All their songs sound like an angsty teenager wrote them, which is probably true (which is not a bad thing, if done right, as it was here) there was one song off this album that gave me weird Chris Cornell feels, which was really cool as well.

Gerard Way definitely knows his way around a mic. I could tell straight away that his voice is the signature of the band, and leads the way through it all. I love it.

Song-by-Song Review:

#1: Helena (So Long & Goodnight)

Beginning started off rough on the ears. Idk what it was about it, (probably the fact that I’ve never listened to a single song of their’s before) but it didn’t connect with me. But 0:30 into it, I found my stride, and then the chorus smacked me in the face, hoh boy. Amazing chorus, and everything that followed afterwards

#2: Give ‘Em Hell, Kid

Only song off the album I gave a perfect score. Just a really great song. Started out giving me Nirvana vibes, then did a 180 on me and turned into a Garbage song. The Chorus, on the other hand, sounds like a Manchester Orchestra song

#3: To The End

A slight downfall, this song didn’t do much for me, but was good all the same. The chorus was cool

#4: You Know What They Do To Guys Like Us In Prison?

Ngl once this one began, I burst out laughing. The way Gerard sings, and the fact that only a piano accompanied him at the start of the song, it sounds like something Daniel Thrasher would write. After finishing it, this song is one of my favs from this album

#5: Im Not Okay (I Promise)

It’s okay, I guess. Idk what I have against it, it just felt like a cliche (exactly the kind of song I would expect from My Chemical Romance before I got into them) the chorus is really good tho, plus the guitar solo slams

#6: The Ghost of You

Idk but just how Gerard sings this one, I pick up major Chris Cornell vibes, it’s weird. Great song

#7: The Jetset Life is Gonna Kill You

A nice little song. Nothing special to me, except for the chorus. I looove this chorus

#8: Interlude

I LOVE interludes!! Very nice song, I could listen to this on repeat for hours. Gerard’s voice sounds creepily close to Tom York’s in this

#9: Thank You For the Venom/Hang ‘Em High/It’s Not A Fashion Statement It’s A Deathwish/Cemetery Drive/I Never Told You What I Do For A Living

Ngl, after the interlude, the album lost some of its momentum, it seemed to me that My Chemical Romance decided to aggressively switch rails with their music. The last few songs on the album are much more anger-based I can tell, which I’m all for, but wasn’t expecting. I have no bad things to say about any of the remaining songs, only that they are all the same in my eyes, so I’ll save time and space in this already-long post to say, they’re all very cool

Ive already listened to this album three times to its entirety since reviewing it this morning. I can’t thank you enough @myminddefiesreality for giving me a reason to finally break the ice and fall in love with My Chemical Romance

we all know he is one of the most competitive human beings

basically his outfit from when he went to the coffee shop with johnny from the relay cam

and he looks so boyfriend

and you almost melt

anyway

you talk a lot about music

obviously

mainly his LPs

his music taste is so attractive honestly ugh

time skip to when he asks you to be his girlfriend

which is before your station was released

because he was just so excited

about being with you so he didn’t bother waiting

so when your station was released,

your members knew and hinted of it

so did his

it’s not like they made it that obvious

but like if you read between the lines

it was there

the teasing tho omg

he would be so cocky don’t even

like I’m not saying he would just smile to himself abt it

but he would

“yeah, I got myself some, get on my level”

I know everyone is like

but he’s also SO CHAOTIC

he obviously buys all your albums

ends up breaking half of it

it’s okay, he has a black card, he can just buy more

he was the mc and when he gave you the award, 

he tried so hard not just lift you up in his arms and spin you around

don’t worry, he did that afterwards

behind the scenes

he ends up being no where to be seen in those backstage videos

because he’s always with you

but he’s so cautious about it

he doesn’t want you to get in trouble

so it takes so long for you two to make your relationship public

but when you do,

everyone feels like booboo the fool

like how did no one notice?

most of your dates are in his room

listening to music

and drinking wine

he classy like that

but like 3 minutes later, 

you’re watching high school music

he perfect cute like that

ends up serenading you with the songs

and haechan walks into his room

speaking of that,

i know i keep bringing it up, but he’s so competitive what do you expect

also you’re the only one he’s okay with winning at isac

like when you score highest at a certain sport

don’t even get me started on how he’d be at your concert

but it’s okay

you find it cute

which is all that matters to him

almost cries when you dedicate a song to him

and by almost i mean he did

and said that if anyone says anything, 

he will deny it
