A part of me doesn't even want to look into this. This being the setup post for showing the image, obviously, and I just found it earlier in the post chain, yadda yadda. But there's something alluring to what it is now, isn't there? The medium of a text post enticing anticipation for the next post, describing it through its unguessability. An active, real unknown, and you know what I initially thought the bit was?

The image was never coming. There's a nice earnest, cannot CONTAIN keeping quiet about it any longer with a mixture of awe and disgust that I find captivating here. I can imagine scrolling down to see the image and yet, it didn't it. Forever was this anticipation something I could sit with, letting the unknowable thing form amorphous and shadowy in my mind's eye. Fear of the unknown, yes, but also fear of the impending, approaching unknown, one about to be revealed, but you still have a moment to imagine what it might be. I don't know, but something about that was actually a little captivating for a brief whisper of a moment.

Looking in the comments and seeing actual reactions to the thing? Well, do I follow them to actually peer at it, or do I let this surprising, captivating moment become the defining take on this cheeky little post that stopped me dead...

i need to show you guys something that a brewpub near me is currently selling for genuine real world money and youre not going to believe it. youre going to look at the image and construct a string of words in your head and your instinctive response will be "No. Absolutely Not." you will think "these words cannot describe something that actually exists." but i swear to god: this is real. you need to look at it. i cant bear the burden alone.
