On 2/27/19, I had a chance to speak and perform at Seattle University's Educating for Justice – Ain’t I a Woman: Honoring Women’s Voices in the Journey Toward Justice – session. Several Seattle University African-American professors(including Angelique Davis JD), staff members, and I presented about women who inspired us for Black History Month. A couple of the women that were honored were Sojourner Truth and Nikki Giovanni. I chose Grace Jones who has always unequivocally been herself in spite of the world. Hello Musicians and Singers, I have a facebook group called Musicians Against Depression and Clichés. It’s a place to share inspirational stories of living productive lives. Let me know if you’d like to be a member. You don’t have to necessarily be a musician. You could be related to the music business by six degrees, for example, a photographer, a podcast host, a sound engineer, etc. Depression can impact anyone. Today, we will have a special guest, Austin Santiago, during a Facebook live video at 6PM PST. I’ll try to keep these videos short, sweet, and inspirational. They will be 5-15 minutes.
