-----------
Season 2 finished!
Yippie aliens but also not aliens,, pspspsps I’ll take you away from that sorry excuse of a father figure pspsps
I have many feelings towards Seijirou that can’t be voiced but oh god this man deserved to get hit by Ulvida’s kick. Essentially manipulating a bunch of orphaned children to become soccer super soldiers is so wrong on so many levels. Pitting them against each other and give them ranks, sure that’s not gonna fuck up their self esteem and create a poisonous hierarchy.
Grief-stricken yes I get but dude?? Then going to adopt a boy that looks just like your dead son? Gosh I can’t even imagine what was hitomiko’s reaction to seeing this little boy was..
On the topic of Hiroto, whoo boy. I spent the remaining episodes just pissed off at Seijirou for being a piss poor dad. Hiroto is obviously very attached to him, but I gotta wonder if the love the old man showed him was just any misplaced fatherly love towards the image of his dead son he very obviously projected onto the kid. How tf did he treat Hitomiko? Dad is on your side until you voice your opinion, Hiroto you deserve a better father figure. All of Aliea deserves a parental figure that cared for them instead of seeing them as potential wells.
Fubuki recovered, which is good, but I feel like it was so rushed? Or is it better to say, wasted potential? The way Atsuya was treated as a sort of separate ‘persona’ that would disperse when Fubuki stabilized. I get that maybe they expected him to share on his own but look at him, all clammed up and frozen. If anything, the team not doing anything further added to the issue. It took the combined efforts of Someoka, Aphrodi and Gouenji to get to him, and 2 are hospitalized now. The way Gouenji worked with him is also kinda erm,, lowkey beating it out of him was a,, choice.
Kazemaru sweetie I beg of you keep the hair down for a little longer. But I also get where he was getting, Kazemaru joined soccer only to constantly suffer www (鬱丸 I now get). It’s a tad interesting that Kazemaru leaving, would be the tip off point for Endou. Bro was DEPRESSED. Gouenji, Someoka, Fubuki's whole breakdown, nothing phased this boy but oh suddenly Kazemaru leaving nearly sucked his soul out. But the ending didn’t really fix the issue?? How can you be sure that he won’t fall down a depression spiral bc inadequacy/being unable to keep up haunts him again,, or is that curse passed onto a different character now
Anyways having the World Cup (?) as the next arc is ???? I thought yall were the strongest team on Earth,, I saw my fuckass cat Fudou in the preview heehoo

PLEASE DOOOOO drop more or elaborate your hcs I'm starting to feel the eiliea illness creeping back up so might as well (the illness was never gone in the first place) also just realized your blog title. handshaking u on that we are in this asylum together 🤝 - @kumagorosh
LMFAO??? Yeah guys, im ill abt these guys, its funny that theyre not my favourite characters though.
Anyways i hope you like my insane ramblings, this is gonna be REALLY long so, you can see em all under the cut 👍
For the "in go, to the public Kiyama is Kira Hiroto, to his friends and family, hes Kiyama Tatsuya" hc, the reason why they found out his name is Tatsuya is because of Touko. No one knows how she found out, all they know is that one day during summer she appeared, saw Kiyama and went "HEY TATSUYA!" And watched him panic,
Inazuma Japan noticed that Kiyama and Mido sometimes tend to not answer them whenever they say their names, so they would say their alien names. When the two do reply by their alien names, they would yell "WRONG TRY AGAIN!" bc they are Not Gran and Reize anymore and they have to learn to not reply to those names
As for "The reason why InaJap was so nice to kimido was because of Dark Emperors" hc, it sorta came to me out of the blue while rewatching s3, Mido and Kaze are good freinds despite aliea and my hc is that is the reason why everyone warmed up to them – if DE didn't happen, Kaze wouldn't feel like he understood what Reize had to go through ans that feeling of inadequicy that followed them, if this makes any sense. (Note; if DE didn't happen, they would've either A. Not even be a part of InaJap or B. Be a part of it and get treated like outcasts, kinda like Fudou.)
Also all the sun garden kids, areori or og, knows how to fight btw. Og sun garden is just, better and stronger because of the Aliea Meteorite
ALSO BTW. This is game canon but like, aliea???! Is so fucked up in the games? Like Seijirou rlly was going to sell those kids as weapons of war and we went "wow, normal IE stuff." And Garshield too. Like what the hell
Anyways back to the hcs; Demonio, Kiyama, and Ronijo are friends! "How so?" You might ask, its the child experiments.
Prominence is very used to the heat and prefers it, they hate the cold.
Diamond Dust player, menawhile are the opposite, whenever it snows Hitomiko always has to remind them that they're human and need to be warm, so "Don't go outside without gloves or jackets–!" And they absolutely hate the heat.
Ok this is just semi canon bcz mido, but Gemini Storm totally has a inferior complex.
This is dubiously canon? But all of Eisei are on given name status with each other, and for the og cast, they're still a bit to awkward (well, more like strangers) with each other to do that, but in go they totally call each other by their given names
Ok now for my hyper specific hc where i have no idea where this came from but its something i like and kept
Reina is a psychologist! Maki is a nurse, why? Because honestly, with the way they grew up, they were probably frustrated a lot by all these different things would probably want to help themselves and others. Why them specifically? Idfk it just happened. Same thing with Mutou being a techie, Nagumo being a choach to bunch of kids (like handa in canon), and a bunch of other stuff
Ngl, my hc is that all the Kira's were probably in the spotlight post-aliea, so the hc that Shuugo probably lost a of friends when he was a kid was born,
Which takes me to the hc that he loves his friends and family. He's not ashamed to be a Kira, he holds so much pride for being one. One of his goal's for when hes an adult is to probably just make something for himself, be someone he himself could be proud of,
I honestly have ZERO idea where i got my "Kiyama sees a lot of himself in Kariya" hc, but i think it was when i was rewatching s2 and went "wow thid guy has a lot of similar mannarisms as Kariya" whenever i saw covert Kiyama+Gran
Which takes me to the, "Shuugo and Kariya are just mini versions of the aliea captains" hc, which is mostly by mannerisms. They probably unconsciously mimicked them or just adopted it into the way they do things or smthn idk. Hitomiko finds this adorable.
Ehm. Here's some of Shuugo and Kariya actually why not, mostly shuugo because... he's my favourite.
The whole "they're complete opposites of each other" bit is mostly based on my other headcanons, but also from Shuugo's recruitment needs + kariya's canon behaviour. (shuugo's talks for the both of them, and kariya in turn, insults people for fun)
Shuugo likes to fist-fight people btw, he's nice and calm, but he has anger issues, and when someone pisses him off bad he'd start fist-fighting people, which is pretty often. (Kariya in turn, gaslight people. for fun. like father like son, I guess?)
Nagumo taught both Shuugo and Kariya curse words.
Shuugo was the one who came up with the idea of Masaki transferring to Raimon (the moment he joined the soccer club, shuugo went through all five stages of grief at once)
oh yeah kariya and shuugo have a sibling-like relationship. idk if you can tell from all the previous hcs.
literally no one knew that they know each other, so one day during the match of raimon 1gun vs raimon 2gun in s1 of go, they started talking to each other post-match and everyone was just "????? since when ???" and the revelation that kariya is an orphan and shuugo knows him because his cousin(??) is the "owner" of the orphanage opened,
also because of kariya and shuugo knowing each other, the two of them (along with ichino and aoyama!) sorta become the bridge between raimon 1gun and raimon 2gun! they have a lot more joint practises and team 2 are able to play in official/friendly matches!
Also fun fact, Shuugo was supposed to have a character arc similar to Hikaru's when he was first introduced in the sequel for go s1, aka, Chrono Stone, but as we can see that never happened. Anyways, i totally do NOT have a whole ass plot and am writing a fic of this for myself. nope, Nuh-uh.
(i am, i just stopped writing it cause i got stuck with a bit I cannot write to save my life :sob:)
wow this is. really long, i am so sorry if this makes no sense, and I'm sorry in general.

inazuma eleven ask game
but im not gonna make you send me asks i am just answering all the questions out of boredom. original by @marmolao , post here
1-Favorite season/game/manga.
aliea season (2) my beloved. super nostalgic and definitely the arc i've rewatched the most
2-Favorite og character(s).
kidou yuuto my son. also desarm he's a funky alien. uhhh rococo and kazemaru too
3-Favorite go character(s).
TENMA, shindou used to be my fave but on my rewatch i was like ok he's kind of a dick in galaxy like he really leaned into it. kinako my beloved and most of all ray rukh. robot son. I FORGOT BITWAY okay no bitway is my favourite go character and prolly my fave inazumer of all time. sexy older alien man and probably the precursor of my love for the equally evil alien miss founder from deep space nine.
question 3 was actually missing from the copypasta and so was question 4. i took a wild guess what 3 was but no clue for 4...
5-Favorite areori character(s).
shimerigawa kageru. i have his license in my wallet and ive mistakenly grabbed it instead of my id at bars lmao. heres my ugly anime boy card.
6-Least favorite og character(s).
no one really occurs to me immediately. i used to be really hateful as a teenager i had like a whole list LMAO uhhhhhh i guess the evil mastermind from ffi season. garfield
7-Least favorite go character(s).
the bear
8-Least favorite areori character(s).
kind of like. everyone lmao. no one appealed to me and areori just feels like a soulless cash grab so absolutely none of the characters were even interesting beyond having some like surface level thing that got resolved immediately every time
9-Favorite coach(es).
kageyama. what a fucked up old man
10-Favorite scout character(s).
i never used them in the games lol but i like the designs of like. the machinery/mechanical themed ones
11-Favorite og team(s).
mikage sennou and all five aliea teams but especially epsilon
12-Favorite go team(s).
perfect cascade and ixal fleet........
13-Favorite areori team(s).
none oops sorry
14-Favorite hissatsu technique(s).
stargazer... shoot pocket uhh. god there were actually so many but i just don't remember any of them. i think perfect cascade had like the command ones that were cool but i dont remember im geriatric
15-Favorite hissatsu tactic(s).
REALLY dont remember any of these
16-Favorite keshin(s).
plasma shadow.........
17-Favorite keshin armour(s).
every single one of them slapped. they all looked so good. tenma's and ray rukh's were the best tho
18-Favorite miximax(s).
i dont like them.
19-Favorite soul(s).
bitway's fucked up tentacle monster
20-Favorite character design(s).
WAY too many. with a series with hundreds of characters im bound to be obsessed with a lot of the designs. so i really like all the ixalens from a design standpoint because they're almost... insect like but then they have that vorta paleness that's like okay you definitely came from a planet with a dense atmosphere that doesn't have a lot of natural light. the bird people had really good designs. tenma has that awful early 2010s shonen protag look about him but he's just so cute it works i love the cinnamon roll hair. chrono stone had a lot of random background characters that really slapped like engir and rudzhik it's baffling to me that this was the same season that had those awful mixi max designs. speaking of chrono stone i ALSO like the creepy factor of all the robot boys looking like. essentially the exact same like same height same body same skintone but with different eyes and hair it's so icky creepy i LOVE IT. i wish they were explored deeper because i love mechanical horror and the relationship between artificial beings and the organic life that surrounds them. not only that but their maker has like gendo ikari vibes. if u havent noticed i have a lot 2 say.
21-Favorite opening(s)/ending(s).
maji de kansha literally actually changed my life. i got through a lot of really low points because of maji de kansha this isn't even a joke. it's been a decade now and the song still hits just as hard. as for endings uhhhhhhhhhh katte ni cinderella was the best but i don't like the full version only the short anime version
22-Favorite character song(s).
ice road, starline, and yasashii mirai. OH and don't stop that's such a fucking banger from ibuki munemasa himself. he did that for us
23-Favorite friendship(s)/character dynamic(s).
i like the dynamic everyone has with endou like he actually becomes friends with like. everyone even the weird italian kid that thought it was okay kageyama tried to murder him. well he didn't think it was okay he just didn't even really care which is almost weirder
24-Favorite ship(s).
im almost 27 i dont really find fulfillment in shipping teenagers together
25-Favorite protagonist(s).
tenma and kidou my boyz
26-Favorite villain(s).
BITWAY OZROCK!!!!!!! and kageyama
27-Favorite character’s backstory.
i have this really messed up and long origin story for all the aliea season kids that i wrote years ago lmao... as for canon i just don't care i guess. it's not so much the backstory as how the character handles it in the end like the backstory can be Aww Sad all it wants but if the character acts like a dick or just unintersting in the plot bc of it then why should i really care. fudou akio im calling u out
28-Favorite sidecharacter(s)/NPC(s).
the clown
29-Headcanon(s) worth of sharing here.
i remember i had this whole kageyama family/shindou family/tachimukai family tree headcanon that was like basically shindou was kageyama's illegitimate son. kageyama's brother married tachimukai's older sister or cousin or whatever and they had hikaru. and way long down the line hikaru was related to sakamaki who created perfect cascade. much to think about
30-Free ask!
i need everyone to know that inazuma eleven is intrinsically linked with star trek: deep space nine by way of deep space nine's japanese dub. the lady who dubbed ezri dax was the lady who voiced toramaru. that is all

i DREAM of one day creating something as unbelievably silly and frankly sometimes str8 up stupid yet BRILLIANT and FUN and EXCITING as inazuma eleven. im so inspired as a creator by this silly little kids show about fucking soccer of all things
i will never stop gushing about how good inazuma eleven is to me. it means SO MUCH to me for so many reasons but the one i wanna mention rn is just. the fact that it's such a silly concept, objectively it's SO silly. but it WORKS and its FUN and even though shit happens that is so ridiculous it shouldnt be good its so actually enjoyable and i cant stop thinking about it and rewatching it over and over
the first season can be kind of a drag at some parts, but its so important to watch it at least once because it sets up so many things--the world of soccer that involves actual tangible superpowers used in the plays, the relationships of the core characters and how they begin (mainly the managers + endou, gouenji, and kidou), the start of raimon's soccer club and by extension their soccer as a whole, the menace that is kageyama reiji...........just. its so good and its so important. the VERY SECOND EPISODE is insane with the introduction of gouenji's fire tornado and fucking DEATH ZONE and endou's god hand and just, its so good. its so good yall
the second season is where shit gets crazier somehow and gives everyone an idea of how insane inazuma eleven as a series can be. it actually--and this is true--almost turned me off from watching the rest of the show bc it was SUCH a hard left turn from the first season i couldnt handle it without being spoiled by my wife lol. but now? it's my TOP favorite season. it introduces amazing characters (FUBUKI? FUDOU? SAGINUMA? MIDORIKAWA? HIROTO? ok mostly aliea kids but still. i am biased perhaps) and just the DESIGNS of a lot of the alien kids are so cool to me (desarm. im looking at you). top favorite season hands down
the third season is a bit of a toned-down season compared to s2's "hey aliens are attacking and theyre using soccer to do it" because it just focuses on the kids as kids playing soccer in an international tournament (with an overarching world domination plot, granted) but also it has these little weird bits that make it so bizarre even still, such as the mini arc where they play against actual angels and demons or the filler ep with the kappas. its still got that sorta supernatural element to it that i adore
dont even get me started on go. soccer communism. actual for real time travel. REAL aliens this time. i cant even begin to explain how all this actually ties into the plot because it DOES somehow i promise. but like good lord its so insane LOL and thats why i love it
anyway ALL OF THIS GUSHING TO SAY, i hope to one day make a story and world as simple and silly yet exciting and fun as inazuma eleven. thank you

Inazuma eleven fanfic idea!
So basically this begins in Inazuma eleven Go. As we know, Kidou and Fudou are both part of the resistance against the fifth sector.
The basis of this AU is that at some point something goes very very wrong, like the people-die kind of wrong.
Kidou and Fudou, as two of the only people left standing and also certainly the most equipped to fight against the fifth sector, decide to go back in time (I would have said that it was weird for a soccer Anime, but time travel is literally canon). They find a way to transfer their consciousness into their younger bodies (because transporting themselves across time would be very inconvenient).
They end up wildly overshooting it, and instead of ending up a few years before the fifth sector appears, they end up as children, a few hours away from meeting each other.
The main issue with that is that at this moment, Fudou is still working with Kageyama and Kidou's friends are still being manipulated by this asshole.
They don't really mind, better too early than too late. Managing to travel back in time and still being too late to stop the fifth sector, that would have been awful.
Fudou is also a bit happy that he will be able to correct his atrocious first impression on the team. After all, it's harder for people to hate you if they've never seen you in your demented power-hungry phase.
They decide to deal with the problem at hand first (namely the "aliens") and decide what to do about the fifth sector after that.
Snippets, because I am unable to write a coherent plot.
Obviously, Fudou and Kidou are dating, because this is me, and I ship them. Also the incident with the fifth sector that made them go back in time may have left a few scars, in the sense that they are vaguely paranoid, a bit codependent, and will go apeshit on anyone who hurts the other.
Fudou is trans and does not fucking appreciates being back to his pre-surgery body. This is not good and he hates it, but hey, better alive and dysphoric than dead.
They call each other by their first name and are sort of... Very intimate with each other so it was weird when they "met" the first time. Like they're both private people who aren't very into pda but the way they exist around each other gives off very married couple vibes, so it's weird for the inazuma team whne they meet Fudou and realize that Kidou is Super Familiar with this stranger.
After they get rid of the fifth sector (or stop it from existing altogether), Fudou plans to find the kids from his old team (resistance Japan) to be sure they're alright, because they were all disasters of the highest order (himself included) but he came to love those little shits and wants to be sure they have a good life. One of the most interesting consequences of this decision is Fudou finding out that even without the fifth sector, Hakuryuu has a crappy life, and deciding on the spot that he's going to adopt him.
(Hakuryuu growing up with Fudou and Kidou as his dads gives some interesting results, especially given that he came as a package deal with Shuu, who was also adopted by Fudou and Kidou, because who the fuck cares if this kid is a ghost he deserves a loving family)
Fighting the aliea (how is it written??) academy is an interesting experience because. On one hand, they both already went through this. On the other hand, their adult selves are friends with some of those "aliens". Fudou was pretty close to Nagumo and Suzuno in particular (this is a personal headcanon of mine). Given that in this time-line, he joins the team right after meeting them, he gets to witness Nagumo's whole infiltration attempt, and it's incredible. He records everything just so he can show it to Nagumo ten years later and mock him over how dramatic he was (Fudou actually films quite a bit of the whole adventure, and showing the ex-aliea videos of them acting as if they were legit aliens becomes the inazuma equivalent of embarrassing your friends with videos of their emo phase).
When I say that the team is surprised by their closeness, I mean that they do the whole holding hands and calling each other by their first names the very istant they "meet". Pretending to not know each other because they have no way to have met before didn't even cross their minds (they make up a hasty story about being internet friends).
When Fudou comes back, he has the aliea stone on him. Trying to get rid of it is surprisingly difficult, as its effects are addictive and while his mind is clear, his body of this time is hooked. Kidou helps :)
They manage fairly easily to stop the birth of the fifth sector, given the amount of foreknowledge they have (and Kidou's connections). It's in fact surprisingly easy, and that makes them twice as paranoid for a while.
They force everyone on the team to go to therapy, themselves included, because fucking everyone needs it.
They sort of become the team mom and dad, mostly because they're much older than the others and decided a long time ago that their team had suffered enough and deserved to just play soccer for fun.
Obviously I'm still a sucker for outsider pov so I'd just really love a rewriting of the scene where Fudou appears, except this time instead of antagonizing the team he just plops down next to Kidou, laces their fingers together, and goes "hi yuuto, did you miss me?" and the team is reeling from the shock of Kidou allowing a stranger to call him by his first name and touch him like that, and then they get a second shock when Kidou answers "of course not Akio, we talked a mere few hours ago". Because I live for confused outsider pov.
They would be twice as horrified as they were before about the experiments on the sun garden kids. Like yeah it was very disturbing to learn about the first time but now they're adults and this has been done to children by adults who they trusted and they cannot even fathom the idea of being responsible for so many children and using them for experiments. What the fuck.
At some point during s2 they more or less take the role of coaches, much to the displeasure of the actual coach. Well, sucks to be her, but they both have been coaches several times in the future and they know what they they're doing. Also, they're severely not intimidated by her so there's that.
The team's and Fudou's relationship is very different this time around, both because there wasn't a catastrophic first impression on Fudou's part and because Fudou from the future is much more gentler than his teenage self. Sure, he's still a snarky asshole but he's way more well-adjusted and way less power-hungry. This heals something in Fudou that he wasn't aware was broken.
I am not kidding about the amount of shenanigans a Hakuryuu raised by Fudou and Kidou could get into. Somehow, those shenanigans involve finding one very depressed (and riddled with survivor's guilt) Tsurugi Kyousuke, and just about kidnapping him. Fudou and Kidou are, at first, a bit confused about the unknown child in their home. Then they recognize the kid, remember what happened to his brother, and decide to unofficially adopt him and his brother too. (we don't really know about the Tsurugi parents in canon so I'm gonna assume they're not great).
The adoption is unofficial because it would be awkward to adopt the kid their son has a crush on (Hakuryuu vehemently denies having a crush. His parents don't care). Tsurugi Yuuichi is very confused about being basically adopted by two soccer legends, but he's not complaining (it is relieving to be able to lean on someone)

ooo, well what do you think the ares hirotos would think of it
oooooh - full disclosure, i’m still in the process of actively watching ares/orion so i can’t delve quite as deep into this as i want to (and i also went ahead and wrote a deeper piece anyway that tumblr then went ahead and ate), but hopefully i’ll be able to delve into this even deeper at a later date once i’m all together on my lore.
ultimately, i think ares hiroto’s reaction to GO! tatsuya having his name would depend entirely on if he knew the rest of the story.  if the fact that his father gave his name and fate away after hiroto’s death as a child was the only fact he was given, i think a part of him would be unsurprised and the rest would be furious - with just the tiniest sliver left over to quietly consider that maybe tatsuya deserves it all more than he does, the cushy lifestyle of the kira heir and the company and all that.
ares tatsuya would feel guilty, more than anything.  of course, he has absolutely no say in anything that went on in the original timeline, but in his timeline hiroto is a person to him - a person he knows and cares for - not just a photograph and a secondhand memory as he was to original timeline tatsuya, and the idea of himself just replacing hiroto would hurt to consider, especially when he knows about hiroto’s issues with that exact concept.  he wouldn’t be able to imagine any version of himself ever going along with or doing such a thing.
however, if they both found out about the whole story - about kira hiroto’s murder and the meteorite and the aliea academy and everything the aliea kids were put through in the original timeline - it’s safe to say they’d both be horrified.
hiroto would be furious with his father and furious on behalf of all the kids (especially tatsuya), and then be filled with the urge to scream at GO! tatsuya what the fuck is wrong with him to love and forgive and hold on so easily - to choose to bear the name of the man who hurt him so terribly, but i feel tatsuya would just feel a great deal of empathy for this alternate version of himself who was alone and put through so much, and still chose to stand and bear his father’s name out of duty and love as an adult.  i think he’d understand the trauma that must have influenced it, while hiroto would resent it.  still, most of all, tatsuya would hurt for the original hiroto, who died a child far from home and never got justice and then had another child brought up in his image.
i think i just like the idea of them both seeing the different sides of the situation - hiroto seeing the deplorable actions and tatsuya seeing the traumatised aftermath - and them thus just hurting for each other.

now if only the show could fucking STOP pulling a last-minute “they’re not that bad though 🥺” on the adults in question
This doesn't really happen all that often, now that I think about it. At least, not without justification. The situations are usually pretty complicated — though sometimes a tad too convoluted.
In the first season, we get nothing even remotely redeemable on Fuyukai and Kageyama.
In the second season, Kira isn't exactly excused as much as he is forguven by his children because they love their father despite all the shit he's pulled. Kira still goes to jail for his crimes and Hitomiko is the one to take care of the Aliea kids, so it's more a matter of abused kids forgiving their abuser because he genuinely regrets what he has done — I'm not experienced enough with child abuse to say how well that is done, but from what I've seen, it does happen. The point is that Kira still gets consequences for his action — being arrested at the end of season two and serving jail time in season three, and he has genuine remorse for his actions. There's nothing redeemable about Kenzaki and Kageyama in this season either.
In season three, there's nothing redeemable about Garshield and Henktacker. We learn Kageyama's backstory and it's mentioned that he himself was manipulated by Garshield when he was a middle schooler. Kageyama starts to become good and is killed before he can actually redeem himself. Kageyama's death isn't portrayed as tragic because he was redeemed or a good person; Kidou and the others mourn him because he had the potential to be good and he was starting to become a better person.
In GO, well, that's a dumpster fire for adult villains. I used to think that Gouenji was a part of the Fifth Sector to infiltrate it, but we never see him do anything to show us that he's on the good side. Sure, he pays for Yuuichi's surgery later, but that doesn't quite interfere with the Fifth Sector's goals. His partnership with Taiyou is also vague af. I genuinely don't remember a thing about Senguuji because I haven't seen GO in a while.
In Chrono Stone, the situation is complicated. The Second Stage Children are victims of prejudice, so they start what is essentially a terrorist movement. El Dorado tries to erase their existence by time travel because of this terrorism. Tenma and the others fight them because changing their timeline to something they don't know — and especially where they end up in the new timeline, and erasing the hard work they did in GO to be able to play soccer freely and all the friendships they made along the way — is kind of messed up. So, yeah, it's not that one side is evil and the other isn't — although El Dorado is shady af. The Protocol Omega members look genuinely scared each time they're replaced. And El Dorado isn't exactly redeemed. Rather, they and the Second Stage Children come to an agreement where they take the cure, give up their powers and get to live a normal life with a normal lifespan instead of dying basically children — which, wtf IE? You're supposed to be a kid's show.
(Also, I never realized that Feida was the one to give up everything. Then again, it did resolve almost everything, so...)
Asurei doesn't use Kinako; he asks for her help and she agrees. Though the way he treats Fei in Fei's backstory is awful.
In Galaxy, I don't think there was an adult villain. Lalaya was a kid, and I have no clue what Ozrock is supposed to be. He doesn't look like an adult though. The people who try to take over Faram Orbius are never exactly redeemed as far as I remember.
I don't remember a thing about Ares and Orion, so I'm not gonna comment on those.
So, it's really only GO that redeems the villains without any consequences. A case could be made for Kira in season two, but he does serve jail time so it's not like the anime's pretending that he did nothing wrong. Kageyama is a weird case because he's killed as soon as he starts redeeming himself, and his death is painted as tragic because he was only starting to become a good person when he died.
the recurring phenomenon of ina11 villains being adults who manipulate kids is interesting to me because like, inazuma eleven is a sports anime it is a show about middle school soccer it is a show about kids in their early teens playing soccer against each other. but it is ALSO a show with really intense stakes, so the opposing teams of middle schoolers are p much always super menacing and scary and have an evil nefarious goal. however due to a combination of typical shounen Power Of Friendship Trumps All and the writers understanding that middle school kids are typically not evil and scary of their own accord, the plot of most seasons inevitably ends up ruled by the fact that some adult with an evil plan is manipulating these kids and making them be evil, for their own evil nefarious goal. which is i think a really interesting structure, now if only the show could fucking STOP pulling a last-minute “they’re not that bad though 🥺” on the adults in question

Beware of the long post. I’m going to talk “briefly” about what’s wrong with how Inazuma Eleven treats its narrative and characters.
Look, one of the problems with how they treat characters is that they don't know how to develop them without giving them several minutes of screen time and long monologues.
Subtlety is essential when you have these many characters. It's not impossible to introduce everyone and tell everyone's stories, you just have to focus on what you want to tell first and who's gonna grow at which time and, most importantly, stop being afraid of spending more than two episodes treating someone's topic.
Not everyone's issues can be treated at once, and not everyone can have an issue all the time. That's why I think the aliea arch did a good job at representing many characters' growth and their outcomes: you have a brief presentation of the character, the character does something that's related to their purpose, they start to act in consequence of their need to achieve aforesaid purpose, and have an outcome when they reach it or can't reach it. All of this doesn't happen in one episode, it stretches during the whole season in a way everyone has space to go through these steps. And it works really well. (I said 'purpose' but I mean their plot's “finish line”. I mean their story as a whole.)
This arch also shows the main problem with IE. You present two characters with much potential like are Nagumo and Suzuno (check how I'm going to keep mentioning the ones I love the most during the whole post) as a big threat/big deal, yet they literally disappear after the chaos match? Like, literally. Gemini Storm and Epsilon are mentioned during the season and reappear in the third. Nagumo and Suzuno do reappear too, but it means nothing to the story.
I already talked about it on another post, how unsustainable it is Midorikawa and Hiroto's appearance in third season, how it is not coherent that everyone is okay with having them around as if they hadn't destroyed schools and people's lives. Ignoring this (which I fucking CAN'T), and ignoring the fact they are mere stand arounds, they contribute to the story. Poorly, but they do. If you suddenly saw your ex-team mate who you were going to dominate the world with at the final match of an important tournament, you'd expect that to be a good subplot to develop during the four damn episodes they dedicated to the match. But, no. “Oh, wow, our ex-mates, damn! How can it be possible for them to still exist if we didn't even think about their whereabouts when the academy was destroyed? Oh, the match is over, we aren't going to talk to them. It's not like we have issues to discuss.” Of course.
It's obvious that not every character can have a full development. They fight against a lot of teams all the time, if they had to give everyone a good backstory or time to show us that backstory this would become a Detective Conan 2.0: neverending. But the characters of the main team deserve that treatment, even if they're not the main three. And so do their potential enemies, those that the season focuses on.
What am I trying to say with all this?
Don't throw in characters “a lo loco” without repairing in who they are besides a forward, midfielder or a kid with an attitude. The essence of the show is already there, we all feel the passion for football and the power of friendship. You really don't have to keep reinforcing those ideas.
Please learn to be subtle. The audience isn't stupid. Kids aren't stupid. You don't have to be stilted, but don't be obvious. It'll make the show poor and too easy to watch and understand. (Note: if you're introducing difficult concepts, tho, like the goddamn time travel, DO SPEND some time explaining how that works. This is a kid's show, after all. They're not scientists.)
Quit the fanservice already, and if you're doing it, do it right. I'm not talking about introducing pretty boys that they know will be liked, or having x and y interact just because (which actually works because they are a team and have to talk to everyone in it). I'm referring to when they see that a character works and is loved, and they keep making them come back to the show without a purpose or a purpose so weak they leave three episodes later. This isn't about when they team up with x ex friend so they can help them grow, no. What doesn't work is having Fubuki as a main character the whole second season and putting him around in the third because “oh, he's a strong boy, we all love him, he's not going to be relevant at all but hey, here, see him in the background, he looks pretty.” ????? No.
Stop the flashbacks. They don't work. They don't have a reason to be there. At first they didn't use them much and only ever did when they were needed, but somehow they've become essential to the narrative? One thing is how you structure the different scenes and another is flashbacking the whole damn time to explain things that wouldn't have needed explanation if you told the story lineally. Example: in Chrono Stone, when they go to the museum and Tenma has a flashback of how the bear told them how they were going to infiltrate in it. That's an absurd and stupid way to use flashbacks. Fubuki remembering the avalanche that killed their family because he heard a loud sound IS an acceptable way of doing so.
They want the general story to develop, and the general story follows Endou, Kidou and Gouenji (in the original) and for their story to flow they need several screen time minutes and long dialogues. That's poor. That's so very poor. Showing someone's reaction to an event is enough to know how they are feeling and to understand their future actions. Use this for the smaller characters while the others take all the screen time, if you want. But there's ways and ways to talk about everyone and not make it feel rushed.
What happens in IEGO is that they get distracted with the situation the character’s are in instea of telling their stories. It’s more important that fifth sector controls soccer than the characters’ reactions to soccer being controlled. (In this season it doesn’t show much, but with chrono stone and galaxy it becomes super absurd.) Also, IEGO (and you’ll have to forgive me for saying this but it’s the impression it gave me) wants to include the characters of the originals with such intent that they lose all focus on anyone at all. I think they wanted to talk about them so much they forgot they actually had new characters and stories. I won’t ever complain that I get to see them as adults but, please, if you’re introducing them at least give them a purpose? Don’t have them show around just because you want to prove they’re alive and how they’ve phisically changed.
Examples of good treatment of the characters: I'm always going to defend ie originals because they started (narratively) very well. They didn't rush into it. They gave space for the characters to find their way into Raimon and, consequently, into the main plot. Fubuki in season 2, my best and most abvious example. We didn’t know anything about him, but he wormed his way into the plot, slowly, evidencing his trauma and desires at the right moments. Hiroto, too. He appeared briefly in one episode, and from them we started to see him more and more, learning about his purposes, getting to know who he is, until they finally fought aginst him and discovered the pile of trash the poor kid and his mates had to carry on their shoulders.
Example of subtlety: Kurimatsu left the team after Kazemaru did, discouraged by learning they still had to keep fighting and that his friends couldn't bear with the situation anymore. He didn't have much screen time (except when he "sees" Kazemaru on the field when he's not actually there, and I would have cut that part because his conflict already worked without needing to exteriorize it that much) but you could tell he was struggling due to Kazemaru's departure. When he left, you already knew he was going to, and you hadn't needed a full episode to explain it: focusing on his expression while everything happened was enough.
Example of rushing into presenting a character: Kariya. They throw him in the team in one episode, pisses Kirino off, we see a brief flashback of him kicking a football in the next episode and suddenly he being a nuisance and a total arse to Kirino can be forgotten and forgiven. Makes sense? No. He had great potential and they wasted it.
Example of characters with great potential that got lost within the main plot: Hakuryuu and Shuu. What's more interesting for a film, seeing some kids train the same way they constantly do in the show, or see the backstories of two new characters that, well, have had it difficult in life? One is a spirit or ghost or whatever who had his sister be sacrificed and the other has been brutally abused so he would become strong. Yet seeing Shindou flop off a giant leaf to a river is more interesting. Shuu and Hakuryuu were better off not existing than existing for no reason. I like them so much and they were mistreated so badly.
One last note: the dialogues don't have to be explanatory of what's happening in the scene. They can be, but if you can avoid it, goddamn avoid it. Audiovisual media's strong point is that it can tell stories without the need of words. Take advantage of that. Use it to reinforce someone's backstory or actual mind state. “I'm so sad Gouenji-kun my family is dead”... this is raw and totally unbelievable. When you have trauma you don't go throwing it around the way you talk about how much you love your dog. You want to talk about it, but do so in a subtler way. It works best because it adds reality to the way the characters work, it's understandable for the audience, and it doesn't make the dialogues suck.
And one last LAST note: treat the girls better. For fuck's sake, treat the girls better. You reach a huge audience that includes young women and all you're showing them is that they are weak and only have a place in football as managers. I'll quote Megane (who I despise to unbearable levels): "it's a girl's team, they'll be easy to defeat!" What the fuck. What the fucking fuck. Fortunately the girls prove them wrong. And fortunately Touko exists, who is not the same stereotype as the other girls. And fortunately Haruna has a different behavior than the others. And fortunately Ulvida kick's everyone's asses, and Rika is a girl of color, and Midori is quite manly, etc. But besides that? Girly girls doing girly things and posing in a girly way and being weaker than the boys. NO. I want one of them to smash Gouenji into the fucking ground and beat the shit out of his big ego. I love him, but he can't be indestructible.
That's all I got to say as of now.

So I have a lot of thoughts about Ares that I haven’t been writing down/sharing on here! I was going to go through point by point with that trailer they did a few months ago, going in to my personal opinions/predictions for each team, situation, and what I think that means for the characters in them… but then I realised I really just want to talk about Teikoku. So i’m gonna. do that.
so aliea is a super influential arc for a lot of characters, and three of those have ended up at teikoku - sakuma, fudou and kazemaru (just mentally add + genda every time i mention sakuma, i love him but unfortunately he doesn’t get built on much after aliea). and actually the minute hino said this was an alternate timeline i was v. concerned in regards to the development for these characters bcs i see them as being v important to them growing up in to strong healthy beautiful adults! very briefly:
- it reaffirms sakuma’s sense of self in a teikoku w/out kidou. it helps him define himself w/out kidou. also like it’s super fucking mature of him to be able to encourage kidou to go to raimon when he knows it’ll hurt him in the process!! props for sakuma, look at all that Character Growth.
- it sets up fudou’s whole deal. on subsequent viewings it actually also sets up his isolation which is super super important for his later development.
- it shifts kazemaru’s perspective, shows us (and him) how destructive it can be to cling to things like being the best, how having high standards for yourself can, when left unchecked, be self destructive. the whole dark emperors thing makes him grow up very fast and kind of refocuses his priorities in sport (and life?).
so in ares, these things haven’t happened. maybe they won’t happen! that concerns me because i love that these things happened because it’s a testament to how well i11 develops its characters subtly and continuously through the series. i want to have faith but lbr, this is going to be one fucking crowded series. here’s maybe my thoughts re: all of these characters being together, on what appears to be the most fucked team in the competition. like, rip teikoku, you’re not getting anywhere and it’s not fair because you’re beautiful and you deserve it.
first up with sakuma. he’ll probably suffer enough being a captain on a team coached by kageyama, but i’m curious to see exactly how. not just because i enjoy suffering, but because kageyama brand suffering is pretty bland at this point, so the real question is - will this suffering bring about as nice character moments as shin teikoku did? shin teikoku was such a good story arc. it had purpose in the overall season as well as for the characters involved! and i’ll say it again, i really love how sakuma Grew because of it. it takes a lot to own up to your own mistakes, let alone as big as the one he made. he wasn’t just trying to absolve kidou of his guilt by telling him he was better at raimon: he was also in a way repenting himself, giving himself a stern talking to, to try and see past his own desires and fears and paranoia and to fight his loneliness with his friend’s happiness. it sounds so petty but this can be hard!! fomo is a Real Thing. and i think this kind of shapes sakuma later, in ffi - he gets setback after setback but he works through it and it’s Brilliant. he works hard to get back in to shape so he can play again. he works even harder to try and be on the representative team, and then gets knocked back. picks himself up and keeps going. puts aside his own beef with kageyama to support kidou. he works on himself constantly, physically and mentally and just As A Person, and it all starts with that guilt from shin teikoku. will ares have these moments for him?
i can see the whole “kidou come back to teikoku :cccccc” thing being solved by a casual conversation. it might even be OFF SCREEN. and that feels super anti-climactic considering the lasting impact of shin teikoku? what i want is for sakuma to lose it again - maybe have his anger at his own inability as captain boil over, have him lash out at kageyama in the Worst Possible Way. he’d have to be isolated. he’d have to ignore support from genda and kazemaru and whatever interaction he has with kidou. but it would be FUN and we also get to have his development and learning growth and i’d be happy*
i want to jump in with kazemaru next. because he’s kind of similar with sakuma in how dark emperors impacted his character, only his attachment was to the idea of winning/being the best rather than a person or idealised team/friendship situation. kazemaru doesn’t look like he’s in a good position in aliea which ngl gives me Life, but the question is - will this lead to his realisation and reconfiguration of his toxic mindset?
there’s nothing wrong with wanting to improve, or with having ambition or goals. but we all know how that ended for kazemaru, because of the way he internalised loss and failure and was eventually tempted by pure power. he’s very de-powered in ares. he has to play second fiddle to KAGEYAMA, of all fucking people, and idk i got the vibe from the trailer that he’s trying to start a coup with sakuma at least to usurp it all. but… is this consistent with s1 kazemaru, or even early aliea kazemaru? he feels very ffi kazemaru already. again, no doubt he’ll Suffer, but there was something to dark emperors that was so shocking, so impactful, that you can’t help but want something just as big? i don’t think there’s space for it in the ares story. and like sakuma, i don’t think he’s isolated to the point he was in aliea for it to happen all that naturally. so the question is - will his toxic mindset get addressed? will the dark parts of his ambition be dealt with, or will they still be there ready to explode?
i think that’s my major concern. aliea built kazemaru’s dark emperor turn so well. i don’t want that aspect of his character to just be ignored like it was never a thing, because imo it’d make the whole thing feel less like natural, human development and more like contrived plot device. and yeah, i know this is fiction, i know things have to happen for the plot, but i like i11 because it does treat character seriously, and does have the plot evolve along character lines. even in s1 kazemaru talks about how he wants to fight on the world stage. his break in s2 is believable. his stress, his fear, his anxiety, his despair, it’s all believable! please let elements of that stay in whatever he has to go through in ares.
and now for fudou! i love fudou. i was v. concerned when he turned up in the outer code and seemed Actually Stable. see, the thing with these three in aliea is that they were all isolated (sakuma you could argue had mentally separated his own suffering from genda’s, when you consider the extend he went to in shin teikoku in comparison). and they all dealt with that isolation by taking the power of the aliea meteorite. sakuma and kazemaru did that with a whole lot of passion. they let it consume them. fudou… didn’t. fudou was in control. and he seems to discard it without having to break like the other two did.
fudou is so interesting, i’d recommend an aliea rewatch just focusing on him. he’s all about the calculated revenge agains the world. he wants chaos, but he himself is not chaotic. he wants it to come apart around him, but to stay above it all. that’s why the only real moment of shock for him comes when kageyama rubs it in his face that he’s just as much of a pawn as the rest of them. this is a Deep Cut for him. this is Huge. and it’s huge because, as much as he wants to stay separate, he is still insanely affected by his family situation. it follows him in to ffi in that he can’t open up or trust any of his teammates, and how he deliberately antagonises them to keep them away. he doesn’t want, closeness. he doesn’t think he needs it, even though in many ways he craves it (snarky comments to himself that just serve to show how lonely he is, the fact that 90% of his hissatsu are combo moves, etc).
ANYWAY. why does this matter? well, in what we’ve seen of him in ares he’s…. playing nice? he’s sitting quietly and listening? he’s involved in team play? HE’S WEARING THE NO. 10 JERSEY JFC. this fudou already feels post-ffi. i can give them the benefit of the doubt - he doesn’t know why he’s at the teikoku meeting, and he doesn’t seem to have an established relationship with kageyama. maybe he’s just playing it save, sussing things out. but i hope there is some chaos. i hope he doesn’t play nice from the get-go. ffi was really fun in deconstructing his actions vs. everyone else’s intense dislike of him. it’s a really subtle unravelling of a villain, one that i missed on first watch because i was too god damn mad at him. but!! it’s so good. it’s so well done. and there are so many layers: we see fudou as we know him, just that Shithead who caused shin teikoku. we see fudou from the POV of kidou and sakuma, as someone who can’t be trusted, as someone who might still be working with kageyama. and then we see him through his own actions: he was fucked over too, and he wants to get back at kageyama just the same as everyone else. he’s insanely attentive to his teammates, even in the early stages of the season. he’s alone. and he grows. i love adult fudou because it’s such a lovely transformation from this isolated kid who dealt with his pain by causing chaos, to an actual well adjusted human being who has Friends and who Coaches and Helps people and Supports them while still retaining his own sense of self. IT’S REALLY NICE. BUT WE CAN’T HAVE THAT ARC IF HE’S ALREADY THERE.
so hino, please, make fudou a shit. make him the biggest shit. make him ambiguous and unpredictable and look I know there’s not that much time to deal with this but make him chaotic, just for a little bit. he is the joker - let him act like it before he joins up all buddy with sakuma and kazemaru, as per the implications of the trailer. you can do it, i have faith in you.
*i will most likely be happy with anything they do anyway this is all moot

3, 10, 14, 15, 16, 24, 25, 45, 57, 72, 83, 84! There, that should keep you busy for a while~
Oh wow, these are a lot lot lot of questions but i’ll try to answer them as best as i can!!
3. In which college you would not go to, and why ?
Oh, that’s a tough one! I don’t rlly have arguments against any of them but maybe Sengoku Igajima bc I’d have to be sporty whichever club I joined since everybody has to learn ninja techniques? Maybe not Teikoku aswell?? I feel like all funds would go to the soccer club only ahaha
10. What is your favourite arc (in any serie) and why ?
I have really fond memories of the Aliea arc - I just feel like the pacing was nice, not dragging on too long but also giving out a lot of character arcs. I also played the second game so so many times and rewatched the arc often. Close second comes the first GO series!
14. What is/are your favourite character(s), and why ? Can you relate to him/her/them ?
My favourites from the first series are Handa, Kazemaru and Rika! I’ve explained quite often before why I relate to Handa, so I don’t think I’ll have too again.. I’ve talked so many times about him aswell..... I kinda feel like Kazemaru in regards to doubting myself and I hope that I can pick myself up as well as he has! And I just admire Rika a lot for being so headstrong but still being compassionate and caring for her friends!
In GO, it’s Kariya, Matatagi and Sakura. Which all seem like a very different set of characters and I have to admit ... I don’t relate to them as much. But they are still very very dear to me!
15. What is/are your least favourite character(s), and why ?
Okay, that one is difficult. There were a few characters I wasn’t too fond of in the beginning, like Hiroto and Shindou but I always ended up liking them!
16.What is/are your favourite villain(s) and why ?
SARU bc I’m a fan of the villain turned friend trope (which is also why I like Tsurugi a lot) and I can understand his motives better than the other villains.
24. Your Notp ?
Let’s just say, there are a lot of ships I don’t care about :)
25. Your ships ? Are they rare or not ?
Does anybody except me even ship SomeHan?? And FuKaze is also very rare to find but in the last year there are even some English fics that feature Fudou and Kazemaru!! I nearly cried when I saw that!! Also I do support Endou and Natsumi but a lot of ppl don’t?
45. Your favourite Mixi-max ?
I think we all agree that Okita!Tsurugi was rlly fucking glorious.
57. A lot of people dislike Galaxy. Are you one of those persons ? And what could be the reasons ?
I love Galaxy!! I even used to watch it live every Wednesday. I really like that we got a past for most of the main cast!! But I think one of the reasons why ppl disliked Galaxy so much was that the previous main cast was almost completely thrown out with not even a BIT of importance to the series.
72. What is the best IE (or IE GO) game you ever have played ? And if you have never played one, what is the game you really want to play ?
My most played is definitely IE Icestorm! The story is just very addicting. But Chrono Stone is probably the most fun - I laughed a lot while playing. And guess what I still want to play. GIVE ME GALAXY
83. Any funny fact you would like to share linked to IE ?
Inazuma was the reason why I got tumblr! Also most popular anime always feature a voice actor from inazuma.
84. Any unpopular/popular opinions ?
Chrono Stone was the perfect chance to introduce more female players but they just?? Didn’t? We only got Kinako! I rlly could have gone without Taiyou tbh..

INAZUMA ELEVEN ARES IS GOING TO KILL ME.
I have to do this. I am going to give my opinion about the last trailer.
Because Level-5, Akihiro Hino and this franchise are killing me with hype.
PD: This is going to be a really long post xD
FIRST
Tumblr media
I have to admit that I expected this. But it has surprised me anyway. AND KIDOU LOOKS SO GOOD, OH MY GOD.
And he has his cape, I’m SO happy.
But I hope Haruna will be in Ares too.
 THEN WE HAVE THIS.
Tumblr media
APHRODI LOOKING SO FUCKING GOOD AND HANDSOME. THE NEW ZEUS (Sorry I don’t know the japanese name) LOOKS AWESOME.
AND THEY’RE GOING TO PLAY AGAINST THE NEW RAIMON.
And, please, the next picture is too much for everyone, you have been warned.
Tumblr media
 FUDOU, MY LOVE.
WHY IS EVERYONE LOOKING SO GOOD IN ARES?!
 I love it so much.
 And SAKUMA.
Tumblr media
Oh my God Sakuma.
And KAZEMARU too.
Tumblr media
TEIKOKU GAKUEN, THE MOST FABULOUS TEAM.
Seriously, they all look like models.
AND LET’S NOT FORGET ABOUT THEM.
Tumblr media
Atsuya why are you so cute. And why is Someoka so angry.
AND SHIROU.
Tumblr media
TOO MUCH. AND THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING.
 Because then we have this.
Tumblr media
SHE WASN’T THE MANAGER. SHE IS A PLAYER.
YOU DON’T KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS, BECAUSE I LOVE FEMALE PLAYERS. Mostly because there aren’t much of them on Inazuma... But I wonder which is her position.
Then we have the new Hiroto. Or, well, the real Hiroto.
Tumblr media
OKAY, at first sigh I didn’t like him. But he’s growing on me and I know we are going to get a lot of amazing scenes between he and the old Hiroto or the now known as Kiyama Tatsuya.
Tumblr media
AND THERE HE IS. LOOKING SO FUCKING HOT. (Sorry for the words, but... OH MY GOD.)
First Fudou, now Hiroto (Tatsuya). Akihiro Hino wants to kill me.
And, of course, the new Aliea Gakuen.
Tumblr media
I kind of like the new uniform, they look great. And the sponsor is “Alien” I LOVE THAT.
BUT WHERE IS MIDORIKAWA.
I wanted to see him, but it’s okay. For the moment >.>
And the next thing is the one that most of us expected.
Tumblr media
GOENJI IS BACK TOO AND HE IS ON KIRKWOOD (Sorry again, I don’t know the name in japanese) AGAIN. And he looks hot too xD
And the three brothers (I don’t remember their names, sorry) are back, too. But they were SO FUNNY.
Tumblr media
Now, this guy looks like a mix between Toramaru and Tenma. And the sponsor of his team is is “Panda” xD
But THE THING with this team is THIS...
Tumblr media
ENDOOOUUU??!! TELL ME THIS IS HE!!
Tumblr media
Then we have Haizaki and Yuuma “fighting”. The animation looks really incredible, I repeat that the matches are going to be AWESOME.
Tumblr media
And it looks like Yuuma has his problems too and I’m very curious about it because he is one of my favourites at this moment from Ares.
 BUT THEN HAPPENS THIS:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE RAIMON MANAGER AND HIM KNOW EACH OTHER. And this is a little lame but... I kind of ship them. She seems to care about him or knows something and she looks worried. Yes, for me, they make a cute couple (now is when they’re siblings or something like that xD) But first, I have to know the context and the story. Ares, come to us soon PLEASE.
Tumblr media
And the other guy is the goalkeeper. Cool, and I don’t know why but i love his design. And the manager is really pretty and beutiful too^^
Tumblr media
KIRINA I LOVE YOU. AND NOT BECAUSE YOU HAVE THE SAME PRETTY EYES AND BASICALLY THE SAME NAME AS KIRINO. But again, I need to know his story and all of that first.
Tumblr media
And the new Raimon will have problems with Kira Star.
Tumblr media
Kidou epic and fabulous as always.
Tumblr media
And, Asuto Inamori, the new main character, will be the one who never gives up. I love him and I think that he deserves MORE LOVE. He is like a ball of sunshine just like Tenma and Endou (Literally, he is in fron of the sun xD)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE OPENING IS SO CATCHY AND AMAZING. IT IS GOING TO BECOME ONE OF MY FAVOURITES FOR SURE. And they give us more pictures of the characters and teams.
Tumblr media
This is my favourite. And now we know that there are two main managers.
 And that’s all of it.
Thank you if you’ve read all of that ^^

Inazuma meme thing
Wasn’t tagged, stolen from @terestolue.
Heya what’s your name:
Matilda, Marty for short. Some people call me Oud.
Favorite character(s):
Desarm, Kageyama Reiji, Ray Rukh, Bitway Ozrock, and Shindou Takuto are my main five.
Favorite arc:
The Aliea arc because even though the ending disappointed me, it was a unique and fun story and I have a lot of fun with headcanons for the alien characters. I’m developing a whole AU fic of this series told from Ulvida’s point of view, and I’m super proud of it because I love aliens so much.
OTP:
I would probably get hanged if I mentioned my OTPs anywhere on this website. But, SomeFubu is pretty solid.
BroTP:
I don’t care lmao everyone is friends
Any ships that everyone ships but you surprisingly don’t:
EnNatsu, GouFubu, Hiroto/anyone, and most especially RanTaku. Honestly some of MY OTPs are pretty unacceptable by Tumblr standards but it blows me out of the water how many people ship RanTaku given that Kirino basically stalks Shindou and Shindou’s never been shown to actually like him, even as a friend.
Favorite hissatsu:
Shoot Pocket, Gungnir, Stargazer, Space-Time Wall, Ryuusei Blade, probably more I can’t really think of.
What about combination hissatsu:
Idk fam
Favorite Keishin:
Sousha Maestro
Favorite Mixi-max:
Ugh
Favorite Soul:
Ixaal and Redio.
Favorite forward:
Hiroto Kiyama, Mac Roniejo, Bitway Ozrock
Favorite mid-fielder:
Rhionne, Ray Rukh, Shindou Takuto
Favorite defender:
Edit: Accidentally left TF’s answer here, too lazy to fix it.
Favorite goalkeeper:
As TF put it, all the best characters are objectively the goalkeepers. However, Desarm, Rococo Ulpa, Sugimori Takeshi, Tachimukai Yuuki, Sangoku Taichi, and Rau Sem are the best of the best in my book.
Favorite manager/girl player (actually, all girls in general):
Rhionne, Ulvida, Beta, and Konoha Morimura are best girls.
Favorite team:
Mikage Sennou, Epsilon, Little Gigant, Perfect Cascade, Ixal Fleet
Favorite team uniform:
Frankly the Ixal Fleet uniform really gets me going but I love Gemini Storm, Epsilon, and Gaia’s a lot too.
Which movie is the best:
I’ve only seen the Ogre and the Go movie and they were about equally enjoyable in my opinion.
Prettiest character:
Rhionne, my snow goddess <3
Most handsome:
Desarm and Bitway <33333
Best hairstyle:
Rococo Ulpa, no questions about it.
Do you think it takes more hairgel to style Tenma’s, Alpha’s, or Tobitaka’s hair:
Easily Tobitaka, his hair is longer/has more mass whereas Tenten and Alpha have shorter hair.
Whose hair takes the most time to manage:
Edit: Accidentally left TF’s answer here, too lazy to fix it. Part 2
Who would you most want to see with their hair down :
None of Desarm’s three incarnations include his hair down so I am always up to see that.
That OP/ED that keeps replaying over and over again in your mind:
*loud horns blaring* *kicks door down* TSUYOKU NARETA ZE
That character song that is way too catchy for its own good:
I am 100% always thinking about either Starline or Mabushii Mirai Yeah(?).
Raimon or Teikoku:
Does Teikoku have my sons Tachimukai or Kageno? No? Okay.
Ultimate Shining or Ancient Dark:
Dunno
IE or IE GO:
The original Inazuma is really way better.
Taiyou or Taiyou (hint: The answer is Taiyou):
I mean, I was pretty indifferent to him, but sure.
Fubuki post-personality-disorder or merged:
Implying he wasn’t wonderful despite the disability? All Fubuki is good and must be supported, thanks. (Honestly leaving TF’s answer as it was)
Hang out with Rika or Touko:
Both honestly but if I really had to choose I’d pick Rika.
Yank Tsurugi’s ponytail or Fei’s:
In a friendly way? Fei’s. In an unfriendly way? Kirino’s.
Kageyama Tobio Reiji or Kuroiwa Ryuusei:
I want Kageyama Reiji to fucking murder me
Quick! Kiss Cliff Marry. Shindou, Kariya, Kinako:
I don’t know what cliff means, but: kiss Shindou, marry Shindou.
Which is more amazing, the fact that the ball doesn’t pop or the goal doesn’t get torn through:
Pretty sure both happen a few times in different points of the series.
Why don’t they ever get yellow/red cards?????:
Because then the overall plot never would’ve moved on.
Eat a soda popsicle with Suzuno or plant a tulip with Nagumo:
Write excessively long letters with Saginuma.
Be a forward with a defense technique or a defender with a shooting technique:
I just wanna be a goalkeeper...
Who do you think Endou should really end up with:
I’m not really one for ace headcanons, but Endou is so ace it hurts.
Yes or No, Afuro Terumi:
Yes in seasons 1 and 2, no in 3 and GO.
Sacca yarouze?:
*Sakka. But sure.
Anything you wanna praise the series for:
Wide variety of races and body types, general positivity.
Anything you wanna complain about the series (don’t worry we all know it’s not real hate here) :
Bad pacing from FFI onwards, GO was a complete mess and lacked a lot of what made the original series likable. Chrono Stone was even more of a wreck and killed the series before Galaxy came about and was actually decent.
Got any IE merch (yes I’m offering you bragging rights):
LOL
A few hundred dollars’ worth of books, games, figures, plushes, bags, towels, keychains, buttons, pogs, bracelets, a hat, a coin bank, etc.
What do you think about Ares no Tenbin:
I want so bad to care about it but the fandom makes me less and less excited and I’m at a point in my life where sadly I’ve outgrown the want to watch new cartoons, so all I do is sit on my 85 year old ass and watch Andy Griffith show and old game shows.
3 things you love about the IE fandom:
I’ve made a few good friends because of it and that’s about it. Running i11screencaps has been a fun experience, too.
1 thing you would like to say to the IE community (fandom, producers, etc.):
@ the fandom: Please have some chill. That is all. @ the producers: I mean thanks for the aliens at least.
What do you think about the creator of this whole post (I know. I’m lame. I’m sorry.) :
I don’t even know who created this post, fam

honestly like not to ramble abt inazuma but. it kinda makes me sad how many ppl dont give it a chance? like, a real chance. if i hadnt watched dragon ball to episode 20 i wouldnt have gotten hooked on it. the same goes for inazuma b/c the first arc, while it builds the world and characters, is really slow when u first watch it and i know this. but god once it Gets you? i swear to christ it GETS you.  i think people watch the first ep and theyre like “oh this is just a sports anime im not into this” and they drop it. THATS NOT GIVING IT A CHANCE !!!  you get to episode 2 and they start doing shit like death zone cmon AND THATS NOT EVEN THE WILDEST SHIT THAT HAPPENS
the characters are so good. the way it handles issues is Pretty Good too, of course it does have problems with some stuff but theres always room for improvement i guess. the story fucking slaps. i know its a kids anime so its very lighthearted and silly (fucking..soccer communism. there are aliens sometimes) but its so entertaining and nice and feel good....my life has genuinely improved since i got into it
like, listen. its not a sports anime. its a shounen anime that has sports in it. thats that on that. it literally smells of dragon ball just with soccer playing children i swear to god if u like dragon ball and are looking for a sillier more fun anime you Need to try out inazuma eleven..pls...for me...
i’ll be real i didnt get into the series until episode like 40 almost. it took me that long, i’ll admit it. but holy shit now its. its my favorite anime yall i havent admitted that yet publicly but i love inazuma eleven more than dragon ball even though my last name is actually saiyan for real ok. db is a second fav still but ina11 took that first spot. aliea academy my beloved
SO ANYWAY LIKE idk. i wish more ppl would give it a chance, a decent real chance, b/c the only other fans besides my partner are like. all european? JSFDKL SO THERES LIKE NO AMERICAN FANS I CAN BE UP AT THE SAME TIME WITH TO TALK ABOUT IT the american fanbase for inazuma is practically nonexistant and i dont understand why. well ok i kinda do, the series is based off a video game which hasnt been localized in the u.s. so. yeah
did i mention its by level-5. cmon
anyway thats all i’ll say on that sjdflk sorry i just had a super in-depth discussion abt the series with my partner so im like aaaaaaaaaaa ok bye

So the other day that scene from the start of the chrono stone movie just kinda popped in to my head. You know the one, where the original inazumas are getting ready for the match against the baby inazumas and there’s a moment where Gouenji is on his own and he kinda just looks at everyone else and they all smile?? like that scene just stuck with me even though it’s only two seconds long and the other day when it popped in to my head, I think I worked out why.
What I love about I11 and what I think has kept me interested in the series for so long is the way it handles character development. You have these characters who go through a lot and they subtly change, almost without your noticing. There are stand outs, like Kabeyama going from terrified to legit badass, and Tsurugi going from absolute mess of a child to the worlds biggest sweetheart, but there’s lots of little moments for the other characters too.
Gouenji is one of my personal faves (NO REALLY ISE WE COULDN’T TELL), and I love him bcs his actions and his thoughts are more often shown through his body than his words. He makes a decision and he does it. When he decides something, it’s often without input from others and he goes at it with 100% conviction. It’s in the first series, when he decides to play for Raimon, and when he subsequently gets super grumpy at Endou (vs Teikoku) and Goggles (before he joins Raimon) - two of the best bits of the first series and really they kind of sum up Gouenji’s attitude and passion and his way of decision making. He’s kind of quietly decided that he’s going to give this competition his all, and he gets super grumpy when he sees the people he likes/admires faltering because it doesn’t reflect what he expects of them - something he hasn’t actually talked to either about before he goes a bit mad, but that becomes apparent when he does.
It’s in Aliea, when he decides to leave Raimon for Yuuka. It breaks him, but he’s decided on his own that she is his priority and he’ll be putting in that effort to make sure he’s safe before he can, in good conscience, fight against the aliens. It’s even when he plays with Aphrodi and they have that high-five, because he’s decided on his own that he doesn’t give a fuck about the whole Zeus thing. You can see it in the first half of FFI, and it’s basically Ishido’s entire reason for being (I could write an equally long post about this aspect of Gouenji + Ishido Shuuji). In Chrono Stone, it’s the part of him that experienced Endou’s death and all the weirdness that followed and thought no, no, I’m not going to put up with this (let us not forget he goes to Raimon before he even tells Kidou - he’s setting up the action that he’s already decided to take before talking to anyone). In Galaxy, it’s the part of him that decides fuck it, I’m going to the UN to convince them to send 14 year olds in to space with a known attempted child murderer. It’s kind of Gouenji’s deal and why he makes such a good choice out of the break trio to push the plot in Go. Endou and Goggles are great, but they spend too much time thinking. Gouenji just gets shit done.
So what does this have to do with the Crono Stone movie? Well, for all his running off and doing whatever the fuck he feels like, there are a few moments where he is a bit… unsure, a little less confident that what he’s doing is right. These are those small moments that tie in to the way I11 as a whole deals with character development which is probably why i love them so much. Gouenji says a lot with his eyes, with the way he looks at people, and that really comes to the fore in these moments. The strongest I can think of in the first season is right after vs Kidokawa Seishuu, and he just gives his coach this look - it’s the first (maybe even only) moment in the series where you can really feel how smol and tiny these kids are, because in that moment gouenji just seems so lost. He is playing for Raimon with all of his conviction, but he still has all that guilt re kidokawa that stopped him playing in the first place. He looks to his old coach not because he is going to stop playing for raimon, but because part of him wants a reassurance that what he’s doing is OK. that he’s allowed to have a new team and enjoy soccer again. And the coach handles it beautifully and it’s such a nice small little moment that gives you a better idea of what the smol soccer child is going through.
Another moment is in FFI, as he’s struggling to come to terms with leaving sakka/raimon/japan. IIRC he’s already made the bargain with his dad at this point, and he’s taking his anger out on the soccer ball (poor soccer ball) when Endou confronts him. And he gives endou this look that’s just so sad and the poor child. This is also one of the rare times he actually talks to someone about his problems, but we get the idea of his current state and the desperation he’s feeling way before they get to the actual conversation. The talk in a way supplements the look, because it is kinda uncharacteristic of him and it shows just how much this particular problem is getting to him. Again he kind of wants reassurance. Usually when he makes a decision he pushes through with it regardless of what pain it puts him through (see: aliea w yuuka), but here he knows it’s too much and by reaching out to Endou in his own way, he’s trying to find support for some kind of solution to everything he’s going through.
Enough sad - how does this get to Chrono Stone? Well, we all know Ishido Shuuji. We all know how that affected his friends and the world of soccer as a whole. Gouenji was always prepared to take the fall for Ishido - i’m p sure i’ve already written about this at length - but in reality, he finds himself…. ok. He’s let to be himself again, and there is probably nothing better than that. When the chance to play with his old team comes up, I can imagine he’d jump at it- throw himself so earnestly back in to that one thing he absolutely loves.
The thing is, we know not everyone is happy that Ishido Shuuji was let to go free. Sure, he did good things, but what about all that pain and damage he caused, not just to the sport, but to the people who played it? We know this is still an issue from Galaxy - Funagi says as much when he’s protesting Kuroiwas appointment, and even says something like “I knew we couldn’t trust someone like you”. That’s a fair while after Go. We can only imagine what the uproar would be so soon after it all, with Chrono Stone.
So while he’s done the training, come all the way to the stadium, gone so far as to even have the jersey on his back - I can’t help but feel there’s still some uncertainty there. Does he deserve this? Does he deserve to enjoy soccer again, after what he’s done? He’s still going to go on that field, but he can’t help but feel the need for a bit of clarification. A bit of reassurance. So he looks at his team, older now but still with that habit of speaking through his eyes - and they smile. They welcome him back. And that alone is enough to push away all the doubt, and he can walk on to that field with pride.
