In this post here, you mention that you Hogwarts Legacy MC, Alice Heatherwild, is of French and Irish Traveler descent, despite growing up as an orphan on the London streets, so I was wondering how your character got there?

(I’m assuming you’re referring to this post here.)

Wow, that’s fast, I didn’t think anyone would be very interested in Alice! Thank you very much for taking out a time to write a question, that means so much to me.

As for how she ended up a London street rat, Alice was simply orphaned when her parents died.

Alice’s mother (a Muggle Irish Traveler woman who lived in England) was the one of the best metal workers her family had ever had due to her magical bloodline.

Alice’s father (a Muggle French man) was a writer specializing in writing atlases.

Traveling to England on business, Alice’s father met Alice’s mother when one of his horse’s horseshoes broke and he needed to get it fixed.

They fell in love, got married, and had Alice, but things were not to last.

One night, a mob of angry and drunken townsfolk burned down the inn they were staying at, killing Alice’s parents in the blaze, and orphaning the young girl.

Alice would spend the rest of her childhood bouncing around between gangs of orphan children, before she eventually ended up in London.
