''You want to swap helmets later?'' Kimi asked her, the sound of screaming and applauding fans surrounding them as they stood on the moving bus.
Her eyes widened as the question left his lips, surprised that the Alfa Romeo driver would want to do the tradition with her. ''Uh, yeah, sure. I would love to.'' Her slightly open mouth turned into a bright smile.
''Rianna has been asking for you the entire week so you can see her then as well.'' The Finn grinned. The female driver had been Kimi's daughter's favourite driver since the girl had started attending the F1 races.
Y/N chuckled at his words. ''I'll bring some merch for her and Ace.''
''Really? That's very sweet, they'll like it a lot.'' Kimi appreciated all the time she would spend with his kids, knowing the joy it brought to them.
''I love spoiling my fans,'' she smiled, ''as long as I get like a cool helmet from you, though! I'm very particular about my collection.''
The young woman was known for all the helmets of other drivers she had received over the years. She had proudly shown them off in a livestream after someone asked about the drivers she had swapped helmets with, even admitting she had to buy several extra shelves to store all of them.
''I was told, I'll do my best.'' Kimi laughed, recalling someone from the Alfa Romeo team telling him about the driver's special collection as soon as he informed them about his desire to swap helmets with her.
The Iceman didn't disappoint, gifting her one of his more unique helmet designs of the season with a short, but sentimental message written on the side: ''You've proven them wrong. Keep going. Stay smiling.'' His signature penned under it.
Y/N had written a longer goodbye: ''Thank you for all the great races you have given us. It was an honour to share the track with you these last years. Good luck with your ice cubes, Iceman :)''
They mumbled a ''thank you'' towards each other as they handed one another their helmets, reading the messages with soft smiles on their faces. The pair posed for a picture together, their own respective team's photographers and Kimi's wife, Minttu, snapping a photo of them.
''I'm gonna miss your silence.'' Y/N chuckled, causing others to do so as well.
''I will miss your loudness.'' Kimi retorted, having everyone laugh even harder at his blunt and witty response.
The Finn reached out to her with his free arm, initiating a hug with the young woman. She was caught off guard. The man had never offered her an embrace before- their physical interactions only going as far as a fistbump.
She accepted, wrapping her own free arm briefly around him and resting her hand on his back. Kimi patted her own back a few times.
The pair pulled back, satisfied smiles on both their faces. The Alfa Romeo driver crouched down next to his daughter. ''We will see her soon, okay?'' He reassured Rianna, who didn't take her eyes off the female driver as she absentmindedly nodded to what her father was saying.
''You can visit me and we can eat a lot of food together.'' Y/N told the small girl. Rianna smiled brightly at her words, nodding her head.
''Say bye bye to Y/N.'' Kimi whispered to her.
Rianna stepped out of her father's arms. ''Bye bye, Y/N.'' The little girl skipped over to her, jumping into the older woman's embrace. ''Bye bye.'' Y/N kissed the side of Rianna's head, touched by the youngest Raikkonen's love.
As the girls pulled apart, Kimi picked his daughter up- facing his, now, former competitor. ''Have a safe trip home, okay?''
Y/N nodded, appreciating his concern. ''You guys too.''
Minttu stepped forward, also offering the woman a hug. ''We wish you the best next season. We'll continue to root for you.'' She smiled, stating her support for the female driver.
''Thank you so much, and have a nice Christmas together.'' Y/N said to her, appreciating that their family would continue rooting for her. She also high-fived a shy looking Robin who clinged to his mother.
''We'll call, okay?'' Kimi mimicked a phone with his hand, looking at her. She nodded her head, delighted the man wanted to continue having contact with her.
''We will.''

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spiaggina, 1963, by Carrozzeria Corna. A first generation Giulietta saloon that was converted into a wooden-roofed beach car by the Corna brothers. The project involved crafting a removable wooden top, wood bumpers, and unique 2-door bodywork. The car was taken off the road and stored in 1984 to be rediscovered in 2002. Restored between 2012 and 2020, it is now part of the Stuart Parr Collection.

Because I'm feeling petty, and it is the anniversary of The Tweet That Rocked The Grid, I decided to compile the most important piece of Oscar Lore.
I present to you: the most complete timeline of how alpine fucked up their handling of oscar piastri, aka, the piasco, to the best of my knowledge
(information compiled from multiple sources)
March 2021: Oscar Piastri makes his F2 debut in Bahrain, at the first round of the season. He immediately makes a splash by finishing fifth in the first sprint race and winning the second.
May 2021: Monaco. Oscar again impresses, collecting an 8th and two 2nds (including one in the feature race). Meanwhile, in Formula One land, Laurent Rossi offers a four year deal to Esteban Ocon, which he signs.
Rossi did not consult with any of the Alpine board about this offer, which is unprecedented for a driver who had not yet even won a race and unusual even for a race-winner who was not a champion.
What this does do, however, is effectively block one of the Alpine seats until 2025.
June-July 2021: Oscar continues to collect consistent points finishes at Baku and Silverstone, including podiums, keeping him in the championship hunt.
August 2021: Esteban Ocon wins the Hungarian Grand Prix.
September 2021: Oscar and Daniel win in Monza on the same day, with Oscar taking out the F2 feature race on the same day Daniel wins the Italian Grand Prix. Oscar follows this with another feature race victory in Russia, solidifying his points lead.
It is about this time that Alpine sit Oscar and Mark Webber down and explain that no matter what Oscar does now, he will not be in F1 next year. Alpine will have him as a reserve driver only and will not make the effort to put him in a race seat, despite Williams publicly saying they no longer require the money Nicolas Latifi brings in and are open to other drivers for 2022.
November 2021: Alfa Romeo announce that Zhou Guanyu, third place in the F2 championship, will be replacing Antonio Giovinazzi for 2022. This causes quite the uproar, as many despise the idea of Zhou getting a seat before Oscar, the talented rookie champion-elect.
The Piastris (Oscar and his father Chris) and Mark sit down with Alpine and agree to terms for 2022 and beyond, outlined in a terms sheet. This terms sheet is not a contract, but an agreement to sign a contract. The terms sheet outlines that Oscar will be the Alpine reserve driver for 2022; that he will be given practice sessions, certain private tests, and two FP1 sessions; and that Alpine guarantee him a seat on the 2023 grid, presumably with Williams. The terms sheet specifies that the actual contract will follow in 10 business days.
December 2021: Oscar wins the F2 championship in Jeddah after winning the second sprint race and the feature race. He then follows this up with a podium in sprint race one and a win in the feature race at Abu Dhabi, only serving to make Alpine look even more stupid. He is announced as the reserve for Alpine for 2022 and participates in the end of season test for Alpine.
No contract has appeared.
January 2022: Mark follows up with Alpine about the reserve driver contract, and is told, "it's coming".
No contract has appeared.
February 2022: Mark begins to hassle the legal team at Alpine about the contract. At some point, he has an exchange as follows: "I can't keep telling them that the contract is coming." The lawyer replies that she is the only one in the entire legal department, and that she has to do everything before the season starts.
No contract has appeared.
March 2022: During pre-season testing, Daniel Ricciardo tests positive to COVID-19. Alpine make arrangements with McLaren that if Daniel is not fit for Bahrain, Oscar will drive for him. Oscar still does not have a contract at this point. Alpine realise that without a contract, he does not have a superlicence (thereby making him ineligible to drive even if Daniel isn't fit.)
Panicking, the lawyer in Alpine's legal department writes "legally binding" across Alpine's copy of the terms sheet and submits that to the FIA in order to grant him his superlicence.
Five days before the Bahrain Grand Prix, Oscar Piastri finally sits down and signs a contract with Alpine to be their test and reserve driver for the 2022 season. This contract very explicitly only covers 2022, and does not contain any provisions for 2023.
Daniel finishes 17th in Bahrain, ahead of Lando Norris, and is running ahead of Norris and in the points when his gearbox fails in Jeddah.
April 2022: Oscar fulfils his duties as test and reserve driver, including being paraded around in Australia. Daniel finishes 5th in Australia after a nasty team order keeps him behind Norris' ailing car. At Imola, he is sixth in the sprint, only just behind Norris, but finishes 18th in the race after an uncharacteristically clumsy T1 move.
May 2022: Oscar conducts a private test with Alpine at Paul Ricard, using the 2021 car. No times are published, but there is a whisper on social media from the spectators who were there that Oscar was faster than Esteban Ocon had been the previous year. Daniel finishes 13th at the race in Miami after mechanical issues in qualifying and strategy issues in the race, which Andreas Seidl publicly apologises for. He finishes 12th at Spain, due to a broken rear end (which McLaren do not acknowledge until several days after the race).
After the Spanish Grand Prix, Zak Brown conducts an interview where he calls Daniel "disappointing" and lays the blame for their substandard results squarely at Daniel's feet. Daniel is then harassed by the media all through the Monaco weekend, where he finishes 13th.
It is also about this time that Alpine begin to publicly state that they are courting Fernando Alonso for a contract extension for 2023, meaning no seat will be available for next year at Alpine.
June 2022: It is about this time that Zak Brown begins shopping Daniel's seat behind his back. There are several interested parties involved, including Alex Palou and Pato O'Ward of Indycar.
Alpine continue to insist to Mark and Oscar that the 2023 deal is in progress. However, at about this time, rumours start to fly that Oscar is going to replace Nicolas Latifi at Williams after Silverstone. Williams angrily deny this, stand by Latifi, and publicly state that they are done being used as a dumping ground for other teams' juniors when they have their own - a seemingly firm statement that Oscar will not be welcome while he is attached to Alpine.
Mark makes contact with McLaren, and negotiations begin.
5 July 2022: On this date Oscar Piastri signs his contract with McLaren. The contract is initially as a reserve driver with mechanisms to make him the race driver if McLaren can negotiate an exit with Daniel. Oscar informs Otmar Szafnauer and Laurent Rossi shortly afterwards, and does so a second time at some point in the next three weeks.
11 July 2022: Zak Brown states to the media that Daniel Ricciardo will be driving for McLaren in 2023. About this time, Daniel visits the factory, and makes a tearful, impassioned promise to the team members that he is working incredibly hard and will be driving for them next year.
28 July 2022: Sebastian Vettel shocks everyone by announcing his retirement from Formula One at the end of the season, throwing the grid into disarray.
30 July 2022: Lawrence Stroll contacts Fernando Alonso and offers him the drive for next year. Unlike Alpine, Lawrence does not hesitate to put a paper contract in front of Fernando, and offers him a 2+1 deal where Alpine had been pondering a 1+1. Fernando, tired of the games of Alpine, signs immediately.
1 August 2022: Aston Martin announce that Fernando Alonso will join the team from 2023.
Either 1 August 2022 or 2 August 2022: Otmar Szafnauer corners Oscar in the simulator, in front of several other Alpine staff, and informs him he has the Alpine drive in 2023. Oscar is aware that if he challenges Szafnauer he will make a scene and does not say anything.
2 August 2022: Alpine announce that their 2023 driver lineup will consist of Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri. Eagle-eyed fans note that there are no quotes from Oscar in the press release, which has a very strange vibe. They are right, because...
A few hours later, Oscar sends The Tweet. There is immediate uproar.
August 2022: Otmar Szafnauer and Laurent Rossi proceed to go on a smear campaign against Oscar, calling him disloyal and questioning his integrity. Even other team principals (unwisely) get involved, despite not knowing the full story. Alpine is threatening court action, and the matter is scheduled for a Contract Recognition Board hearing. Oscar and Mark do not say a word, and nor do McLaren, who everyone assumes is the team that got him.
24 August 2022: McLaren announce that they have agreed with Daniel to part ways for the 2023 season. They do not announce his replacement and Daniel does not have a drive for 2023 arranged.
2 September 2022: The Contracts Recognition Board hearing takes place. Alpine are savagely humiliated as the full extent of their incompetence is laid bare. The mediators express their clear disdain for Alpine's actions, including their incredulousness that a lawyer possibly thought it acceptable to write "legally binding" on a terms sheet, the fact that the lawyer had pleaded with Laurent Rossi for more help several times and Alpine's "shilly-shallying" over even getting Oscar his reserve contract, let alone a race one. They find that the only valid contract Oscar had for 2023 was the one with McLaren, and Alpine are ordered to pay Oscar's, Mark's, and McLaren's costs.
After all of their bluster and slander, it turns out that Otmar Szafnauer and Laurent Rossi genuinely believed the terms sheet was a contract that entitled them to Oscar's services for 2023.
Alpine fire the lawyer. (So I guess nobody is in their legal department, now?)

Hello, I got inspired by @oatsimss cute golfing post and so I built this country club on the 64x64 lot in Brindleton Bay. It has a golf course, tennis court, indoor pool, spa, restaurant, bar and gym. It is quite CC heavy and I used quite a few packs so I am sorry about that, but it is a huge build. I have linked all the CC I used down below. Feel free to do with this lot as you wish but tag me as I would love to see if anyone does end up using it. This is my first build and so if something is missing let me know and I will provide any missing links. This functions as a restaurant, gym, bar, spa, pool, & lounge :)
If I have not put a direct link please assume I mean all parts of a collection.

9 or 46 with Liam/Alex
ooooh I think I'm gonna try and do both >:) save me 2021 vaguely toxic lialex ....
9. "in public" / 46. "out of envy or jealousy"
for the kiss prompt game!
Alex was leaving. Alex was getting calls and offers and lifelines and he was leaving. He wouldn't be Liam's teammate for the rest of the year. He's talking to other people and he doesn't need Liam to drive him around anymore and it's gut-wrenching.
And it's ridiculous how much Liam cares– how much he wishes he was in Alex's seat, wearing his uniform and being pulled aside by all these seemingly important people who are here to offer him jobs.
He hates how much he feels left behind. He hates how much he knows Alex doesn't feel the same.
Because Alex is always so dismissive. He thanks Liam for the ride, and then battles him on track for p7 like it's the most important overtake of his life. He sounds so much smarter in debriefs, well-educated in the discussion in a way Liam has never been able to achieve.
He wants to be Alex. He wants to be the one getting calls from red bull, from Williams and Alfa Romeo. He wants to make the impact that Alex has, and yet he can't even make an impact on the guy himself.
Because Alex is leaving on Monday, and he seems hardly affected by it at all; but Liam is so affected it makes him dizzy. He's losing his teammate– his teammate he so desperately wants to be. His teammate who will probably replace Liam with a brand new, totally smart teammate in 2 weeks time.
Someone nudging his shoulder forces Liam back into his body, and he flinches where he's sitting, completely unaware of what was just discussed in the team briefing. The bony shoulder could only belong to one person.
Alex's ridiculously elongated figure unfolds from the booth seat next to him, and he has an easy smile on his lips as he juts his head in the direction of the door, signally Liam to get up and start making his way to the track.
When Liam doesn't move, Alex's lips shift into a frown, his eyebrows curling into something concerned.
"You alright, mate?" His cool accent slips easily through his teeth, and it makes Liam furiously jealous.
His voice is always so collected, proper and organized like a faultless machine, and he envies it every time he hears Alex speak during team meetings, because Liam is nothing like that.
Liam is young, and his naivete sneaks out of his mouth without his consent, and it makes it so painfully obvious, then, why Alex is always the desired one.
Because he's calculated; Alex knows what he wants and he's good at getting it. Liam is sure that everyone only remembers him for his undeveloped maturity and his foul mouth.
That's probably all Alex will remember him for, too.
Suddenly, Liam is standing up, calling Alex's name and catching his attention, waving him back to the team motorhome. He has to make sure Alex knows him for something special, something that other people don't know.
Alex makes his way back quickly, skipping a step on his way up the utilitarian stairs, the metal skeleton rattling with each press of Alex's weight.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Alex asks, reiterating himself from earlier, and Liam wants to scoff.
"This is your last race," he states plainly, as if Alex doesn't know that clear as day.
"Yeah? Are you- is there something you're worried about?" Alex asks, his tone shifting with genuine concern, seemingly conflicted over whether or not to take Liam's distress seriously.
A nonsensical fury bubbles up in Liam's esophagus, and he can hardly stop himself before he surges up and presses his lips to Alex's.
It catches them both off guard, so it results in something clumsy and uncoordinated. He has to stand on his tip toes, and his hands are placed ungracefully on Alex's hips, while Alex's hands are idling in the air, braced like he expected Liam to tackle him to the ground.
Alex is soon shoving him off by the shoulders, a borderline disgusted expression on his face, but Liam knows the truth– he had felt Alex's lips press harder against his, how they moved in a way that could only be purposeful, even if it was for the briefest moment.
"Liam- what the hell? You can't just-" Alex is speechless, his mouth opening and closing, small noises of disbelief eking out now and again.
"That was so stupid, what were you thinking- Liam, what the fuck," he finally settles on with a breathless laugh, and his hands are still planted heavily on Liam's shoulders, his arms straightened out as if to keep him away.
Liam's arms are hanging loosely at his sides now, and the tips of his fingers tingle with something like regret, or maybe thrill; they might as well be the same thing.
"I know what I'm doing, dude, just-" Liam spits, interrupted by a humorless laugh from Alex, the sound cutting through the air without remorse.
"Clearly not! This is-" Alex is back to doing his stuttering thing again, starting and ending sentences before they can even form into a coherent thought.
"You kissed back," Liam points out, cutting off Alex's spluttering, and the other man's face twists into something he couldn't explain even if he tried.
It's something like shock, but deeper, saturated with an unhealthy layer of guilt, and something else indescribable.
"That's not- this could ruin our careers, Liam, do you even realize how fucking- just, ridiculous you're being," Alex asks, except it's not a question; it's aimed at him like he's trying (and failing) to teach him a lesson.
The door next to them is still wide open, their profiles exposed the rest of the trailer park. Anyone could have seen them kiss, could have seen the way Alex reciprocated, could have seen the way they're both teeming with raw energy.
"It's not like either of us have much of a career to ruin," Liam spits, and that's when Alex finally lets go, releases Liam's shoulders from his grasp with a harsh shove.
"You know what- I'm leaving. Just- come to the garage when you can, and don't do that ever again. Fucking ridiculous," Alex huffs before storming off, gliding down the stairs in one easy motion before he begins slogging his way through the damp grass surrounding their trailer.
Liam just watches as Alex leaves; he feels miles away already, like he's already left the team, raced his last race and abandoned this part of his history like it never happened.
Liam knows it did, though. He has a feeling Alex won't forget it, either.
ooohhhhh this request was HARD but I actually LOVED writing it!!
it was nice writing Liam and Alex again, too; 2021 lialex is one of my favorite dynamics to write– there's just SO MUCH THERE. age difference, power imbalance, bratty Liam, weak conscience Alex. it has everything and more and I love it

Seventeen as F1 drivers
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, my bestie and I are both into F1 and we’re carats, and this started as a joke, but I took it seriously. Tbh i don't even know how to use this website, anyway, i had fun with these. Don't take it upfront, it's silly and meant to be funny, not offensive.
Seventeen members as F1 drivers would be:
S.Coups: Michael Schumacher (Ferrari era). Huge crack that makes history ? Well kind of, just like Michael he’d get out of his car to go and beat the shit out of that one mf that crashed into him. No Javi would be in the team anymore, too scared for their life. Kimi Raikkonen type of radios (anger issues). Ultra competitive and would swear as much as Tsunoda.
Jeonghan: Christian Horner. Yes. He is a good tactician deal with it, kinda evil like Horner sometimes, but he’s got as much love to provide to his kids just like Christian with Max. He would start racing but find out he’s even better at managing a team.
Joshua: Sebastian Vettel (not Redbull era). Not Redbull era bc he was (unfairly) disliked (just like Max) at that time, and EVERYONE loves Seb. That’s it, it’s the rule, you like F1 ? You like Seb. You don’t like F1 ? You still like Seb. Unproblematic and engaged king. Also a fucking legend.
Jun: Valteri Bottas (Alfa Romeo era). Unbothered moisturized king that slays. He’s doing his things, he doesn’t care because he knows his worth, you saw him naked and didn’t expect that. Everyone praises him on how he owns his style and he fucking does. Is hilarious when you don’t expect him to be.
Hoshi: George Russell. Iconic, hilarious, massive talent, carried Williams, CARRIED WILLIAMS, nothing to prove cuz he’s one of the best altho the Mercedes is hard to drive, doesn’t complain cuz he’s EXCELLENT and races with an 8th world champion without looking ridiculous next to him.
Wonwoo: Zhou Guanyu. He’s calm and collected, doesn’t make much waves, he’s doing his things and looks good doing them. Good pics, insta feed slays.
Woozi: Fernando Alonso. Dude will hit retirement age and still be talented, pisses me off. Rarely speaks but spicy and precise comments. Will sometimes mess with your mind, he is clever and knows how to handle himself.
DK: Alex Albon (Williams era). He’s EXCELLENT, is happy with what he has, he got treated badly when he was younger but now he knows his worth. Hard work, a sunshine, hella funny.
Mingyu: Charles Leclerc (Ferrari depressed edition). Huge ass talent (as in Max Verstappen talent, without the father trauma) but does silly mistakes, is also silly. Gets bullied by his own team, basically. Might look cute and all but can get pretty serious, like, fr, he’s talented and SMART.
Minghao: Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes era). Fashion icon, all about healthy soul in a healthy body, ICONIC. He’s just got the Lewis vibe idk like they would be friends i wouldn’t even be surprised.
Seungkwan: Daniel Ricciardo. The official sunshine of F1, the marketing face, everyone wants to meet him because he is so funny, iconic, adorable and he is talented. He carries F1’s image, he is still a sensitive person and can get hurt, so don’t, he has SO much to give and gives with pleasure, don’t hurt him (Br*wn if catch u). No one is more Dani coded than Seungkwan (kinda Seokmin too but had to choose).
Vernon: Carlos Sainz Jr. Mf isn’t part of this world, he’s seing things we don’t, chaotic in a calm way. Looks always hot in an unfair way (i might be biased). Aware of how people perceive him as weird, thinks it’s funny or doesn’t care. Unique laugh, why do they transform into seals when they’re laughing their ass out ???
Dino: Mick Schumacher (post H**s shithole era) or Oscar Piastri. He’s is the future of F1, the boy proved himself, teams literally fought over him. Give him a mediocre car he will still pull some good result although he’s a rookie, update the car and he’s a threat to experienced drivers that have been racing for years. Also Mick personality vibe, fr there’s something. Also very sweet then BOOM, he’s fucking hot.

During the award ceremony, our highlight was the largest vintage and collectible Mercedes-Benz model, a true masterpiece meticulously designed and engineered by my father. This family project not only strengthened our bonds but also earned us enthusiastic praise from the judges and the attending public.
On Friday, 21st February, the prestigious international jury selected the winners of the competition’s five categories:
• Barchettas on the Lake: Ferrari 500 TRC Scaglietti (1957)
• Open Wheels: Bugatti 59 (1934)
• Concept Cars & One-Offs: Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 GS Aprile (1931)
• Icons on Wheels: Ferrari 275 GTB/4 (1966)
• Racing Legends: Porsche 908/03 (1971)
On Saturday, 22nd February, the much-anticipated free laps on the lake provided a breathtaking spectacle, with the cars reflecting off the icy surface, mesmerising all the enthusiasts in attendance. At the end of the event, the coveted “Best in Show” award was presented to the 1934 Bugatti 59, with a trophy specially designed by renowned architect Lord Norman Foster.
Additionally, the Ferrari 250 GT SWB “Sefac” (1961) received the “Spirit of St. Moritz” award, presented by artist Rolf Sachs, while the Lamborghini Miura SV (1972) was honoured with the public’s choice award, “Hero Below Zero”.

Being part of this event alongside my father, who has always been an inspiration to me, was an invaluable experience. We shared unforgettable moments, from the meticulous preparation of our car to the engaging conversations with fellow enthusiasts and industry experts. Our Mercedes-Benz model was not only admired for its grandeur and rarity but was also celebrated for its authenticity and remarkable history. Beyond the competition, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in various cultural and artistic activities that involved the entire city of St. Moritz, further strengthening the connection between the automotive world, art, and local culture. The vibrant atmosphere and palpable excitement made this edition of The I.C.E. St. Moritz a truly unforgettable experience, reaffirming its reputation as a must-attend event for classic car enthusiasts and lovers of timeless elegance.

Representing our brand on such an international stage, especially alongside my father, whose dedication and passion were essential to our success, was an immense privilege. We eagerly look forward to future editions and to continuing to share our passion for classic automobiles with the world.
