La falta de comprensión auditiva y de lectura en los comentarios de ese video está que hace orilla. Los PNP y PPD les calientan el oído sin educarlos, y es por eso que de la boca de algunos Cuba y Venezuela no sale. Company Liabilities

As a media company, I am liable for the content that I create and the usage of content. In this past elections, there was an independent candidate running for the government of Puerto Rico called Alexandra Lúgaro. At the end of the campaign, every running candidate hosted an event for the closing of the campaign. The members of Lúgaros campaign created a video in which they used images of the street art painted on the walls, located in Santurce (somewhere similar to Wynwood in Miami). The artists, along with the members of the event("Santurce es Ley") that created the platform for the artist to create the art in the walls, complained and started filing legal actions against Lúgaro. Once she got contacted by the lawyers from the event coordinators, she deleted the video from her Facebook page. Here we can see the misusage of copyright artwork in the streets.

Another case similar to this, was when American Eagle used street art in Wynwood for commercial purposes and integrated it in the promotion. This is a liability that can happen if I don't have the right permission for the content recorded. For example, in the creation of the movie, I might have scenes in the area, where some art might be seen. Something similar to this case is the famous case of the Micke Tyson’s face tattoo usage in the movie the hangover. A similar situation happens in the sport video games with the tattoo of the players. They must have proper permission to use the copyright material.

Another liability will be false advertisement. Julee Milham, a guest speaker for the class who mentioned the importance of having the right information. Not having the right information and promoting false information, can lead us into fooling the customer.

Luminosity, a famous app that was designed for “training the brain”, was claiming that playing the game a few times a week could improve work and school performance, and everyday conditions like Alzheimer and dementia. Jessica from the FTC, consumer protection unit mentioned that “they don’t have the science to back up the ads”. The app company has been fined with $2 million and they have to create options for the subscribers to cancel at any time and to show a disclaimer at checkout. This might be a liability for my company since this might dictate “how creative” as a content creator I could be. Before creating any content, I must ensure that I have the right information or supporting information.

On the other hand, Coca-Cola has is being sued by U.S. District Court of Northern California in which they are accusing them of false advertisement. In the Luminosity case, they did not have backup information of the claims. In this Coca-Cola case, the plaintiff says that Coca-Cola is creating bias evidence by paying researchers to create bias reports about the health benefits of drinking sugar-sweetened beverages. Here we can see how not having the right permission(in Lúgaros case), not having the information to back up the claims(luminosity’s case), and even interfering with the evidence can get us in trouble in the distribution of the message. This are liabilities that may affect my business in the content creation process.
