The Orb Complex, but more complicated

- So a little background information

- Pine got possessed, gave Puck a vision

- The vision was of his love interest Peter (my npc) DIE by being strangled to death by a shadowy tentacles

- Ena fought herself and got called out

- Her double is named Ane

Ane: You’re not a very good cleric, you’re so selfish you don’t even care about your friends

Ena: Yes I do!

Ane: Did you care when you thought about shoving Puck off the 100 foot drop?

Ena: ......... sweats

- The portal??? it was shut dooown

- They  got taken to the Court of Nephthys for Breaching of Natural Order, Trespassing into the Astral Plane, and Unauthorized Use of Godly Magic

- Uh they figured out two of those claims and got them erased 

- Nephthys found out that the orbs are from Hathor, doesn’t want conflict, instead reopened the portal and said “tell Him i said Hi”

- And they woke up in the Plane of Thought

- ALEXA THE ROBOT AI ASSISTANT

- Puck being assumed for the Leader

- The plane of thought is where children go when they die in the  prime material plane, as children of Thoth

- and they still age and all, there just isn’t many adults

- That’s because at maturity day for adulthood they go to a place called House of Haunting that... people don’t come back from. 

- GUESS WHERE OUR ADVENTURERS WENT

- Also in the plane of thought you can summon items, except for weapons/money/creatures 

- But like still 

- Fen summoned weed

- Puck summoned a nice tree spot (that lucky duck got to watch his crush sunbathe a lot)

- Ena summoned the emerald tiara (without the magic) and some cleric books

- Void invented pudding (your welcome lotus)

- But so

- They get to the house of haunting and fight a homebrew dragon pig

- And my genasi npc boy, dear sweet peter

- Takes

- 81 points of damage from tripping onto his trident

- And he is strangled to death by an octopus of all things

- Heres the text

You all see time freeze, as these gruesome red tentacles whip out from the monster. And in your gut, your fight or flight switches to flight, as most of you flee out of the way, the tentacles inches from touching you as you do so. But most of you are lucky, however… Someone isn’t. 

Puck, what happens next is almost painful enough that you could cry. A blood red tentacle covered in a poisonous goo from this octopus just barely manages to latch around… Peter. You see it, the only one facing him, as the tendral of octopus flesh encases around the genasi. 

In a split moment, the only thing all of you hear is a loud, sickening, deep bone *Crack*. And from his tentacle encasement, Peter’s eyes grow wide for a split second, before turning like glass and he falls limp. The tentacle lashes back and flings Peter against the stark white walls only a few something feet away. The genasi boy slumps to the ground, in a position that is impossibly limp for anyone who could be alive.

And just like that... Peter is out of initiative.

Plot: a man and a woman are trapped and isolated together for no apparent reason with a curious collection of objects

Inspired by: Monster High's Clawdeen and Draculaura, Marvel's Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Vampirella, DC Comics' Martian Manhunter and Deadman, my little brother's DnD sessions, Garth Ennis' Preacher which i haven't read yet, Amazon's Alexa/Apple's Siri/other virtual assistanst and AI

Plot: three characters -a priest, an amnesiac, a runaway teen- form a very unlikely little family. While in their quest, they find a much odder addition to their group and find reality is a much more complicated thing then they ever believed
