Luis sat down opposite of Alex with a plate of fries to share. Then reconsidered both couches. He stood up again and slid in next to Alex. “Got us both some fries, drinks are on the way,” he said, a little awkwardly, or at least he figured he looked that way, all smiley and a tiny bit red in the face. He moved the plate over to Alex. “How was your day?” He instantly felt like a school girl.

Solveig got off work early thanks to Matthias retiring to his room earlier than she was used to. Getting ready for drinks hadn’t taken long either. Of course the outfit she chose could easily be considered too much. A tight red leather look crop top, tight black pants, and seven inch platform booties covered in sharp studs. She knew he’d undoubtedly make some comment about it, but at the end of the day, Solveig picked clothes for no other reason than because she liked the way she looked in them. Besides, she had a rather large closet, and very little events to wear them too. With that said, she did also find it quite entertaining to get under Alex’s skin and garner reactions from him.
Bored and lacking something better to do, she decided to head to the bar. Nothing said she had to wait for Alexander to start drinking. Finding a spot at the bar she ordered a drink, idly flirting with the bar tender. She was only about half through the glass when someone walked up beside her. Looking over at her boss she smiled. “I almost expected you to not show up.

It had been a couple of days since that run in with him at the coffee shop downtown, and yet, Addie hadn’t been able to shake him since. She hadn’t even talked to Cass about it yet, wanting to leave the moments untouched by outside eyes and opinions, if only because the entire situation and meeting had been unique, to say the least. It had taken a few days to put something that wasn’t too pushy together to send to him. Her first attempts had come across as too forward or too demanding, and that wasn’t what she wanted. She didn’t need anything from him, really, but she couldn’t shake the feeling in her bones that the interaction was not supposed to be a one time thing. And Addie did not ignore her gut when it came to things like this.

I’m sure you’ve taken my advice already about the tea, but just in case you haven’t. Exhibit A: tea is a fabulous addition to a nice reading session. (Photo.)

Paula wasn't entirely surprised to see him there. After all, they did hang out with the same people at a certain age. She rolled her eyes playfully when he spoke in spanish. "Why thank you, personally, I kept the juicy secrets since there is no need to embarrass her so much" she chuckled softly. "And what the hell are you doing here? You know the groom, right?" She then asked.

micah wasn’t going to whine about st. patrick’s day. he’d always thought it was a holiday that served no purpose at all, save for the fact that it was a day to get piss drunk without being judged by everybody.
micah wasn’t going to whine about st. patrick’s day, but he was certainly internally cringing everybody who painted themselves green and paraded all over town, looking like a crowd of greedos and mike wazowskis. it was a stupid holiday, but was he going to pass up on a free pint of green beer at the bar? absolutely not.
micah wasn’t whining about st. patrick’s day, but he was going to punch the next person who pinches him just because he wasn’t wearing green. he takes a sip of his beer, leaning comfortably against his seat. the bar was packed with a sea of (stupid) greengreengreen and it was a miracle that micah managed to snag an empty booth. ryder had fucked off somewhere, and stella was nowhere to be found. he should be looking for his friends lest they get themselves into trouble, but he was content with people watching.
he grumbled to himself as he drank the last of his beer. he wanted more, but was it worth it to get up and push through the crowd? he did not have the patience for that. his eyes lazily swept across the room, instantly landing on a green-haired (he hated the color green but why was this person pulling it off) stranger’s nice piece of ass.

Dear Healer All right, Robins (what do I CALL you now that you are all Professional), here’s a quick hypothetical for you: say, hypothetically, someone had taken a potentially risky but definitely probably definitely not life-threatening leap (for want of a better word) from some stairs and now that someone’s knee was Doing A Thing, what would be your Official and Professional approach? Hypothetically.

“You’re totally right” he expressed, setting their drinks away and taking her hand to lead the way towards the dance floor. And oh, they danced. And drank, just to dance more. Laughter, banter, and poorly hidden flirting. It was all like college once again.
The party started to slow down and fade, but Alexander was far from ready to go to sleep. “Aw, damn. Already finishing? I’m not even tired” he protested with a sigh, turning to Paula with a playful grin tugging on his lips “What about you? I could use another drink”
.
The party was finally coming to an end and, frankly, a part of Paula felt incredibly disappointed since their time was up. “Of course you want another dink” she chuckled softly. “And here I thought you had to work tomorrow” she hummed softly. “Well, I have to greet some people good bye first” this was, after all, her father’s party. “You can wait for me and then we’ll go bar hopping or something” she suggested. “Or, now that you have your own place and don’t share it with a rommate, you can invite me over” she teased.

“My memory might be failing, but I don’t remember you not enjoying my flirtatious attentions in the past” he quipped back, enjoying the back and forth teasing they were so used to when they were younger. “And you’ve managed to describe my work perfectly. What about you? Have you decided to hire us to manage your portfolio, or you don’t mix business and pleasure?“
.
"I never said I didn't enjoy it" she smirked playfully. "You want me to hire you?" She asked, quite interested since it didn't really sound like a bad idea. “I suppose we can have a private meeting” she winked at him playfully. "I haven't done it so far, but it depends on what the offer is and how convincing the other part is" she then replied with a cheeky smirk.

“Well, business is business. And… I’d have an excuse to see you often” he responded, taking a small sip of the wine and grinning as she playfully suggested a private meeting. Her next comment just caused his smile to widen as the implications of her words “Well… I’ll have to try my best, then. But let’s not discuss boring business now, don’t you think?” Alex suggested, taking a new sip of the drink.
.
"I didn't know you needed an excuse to see me" she commented with an amused smirk. "And here I thought a simple text would suffice" she grinned. "Of course not, we should talk about more interesting things" she agreed. "Perhaps we should dance..." she suggested, wiggling her brows.

“You know me, Paula. How could I not hit on you? Specially when you look like this…” he blatantly complimented her, his gaze scanning her gorgeous figure before leading the way to the bar, his arm laced with hers “Oh, did she? Curious, Kevin didn’t mention anything…” he responded, the gleam in their eyes making obvious that they couldn’t care less about such rules. “That Chardonnay was amazing, so I guess I’ll have one” Alex commented once they reached the bar.
.
"Is that your default mode?" She teased playfully. "Well, because Kevin isn't ridiculous" she pointed out knowingly. That was just one stupid rule, pretty much one that invited people to break it. "So, what have you been up to? Making the rich Wall Street people richer?" She teased him with a playful smirk.

At her playful comment about talking shit about people, Alex had to laugh and shrug a little “What can I say? Got a good deal and a great friend so… It paid off” he commented, nodding at her question “Yes, I’m by myself. What about you? Is there a jealous suitor who’s gonna attack me for conversing with his beloved one?” Despite his casual tone, he was sure that Paula would notice his actual interest in her.
.
"You always managed to get away with those things" she hummed softly, sipping her Chardonnay. She was glad that he was alone, and with that suit he looked so handsome. "No jealous suitor that will attack you" she grinned. "You can totally hit on me the entire night if that's what you were worried about" she smirked playfully.

“Well… you can tell those in the reception. They already said I do and signed the papers” Alexander teased between chuckles, shaking his head “Well… I met John at one of those boring networking events. We were the only two people under the age of 50, so we kept downing beers and complaining about the old farts in the event. Two days after that, I found him at a business meeting that my boss, one of those old farts, had set up… so it seems that I ended up networking a little” he admitted with a chuckle “I can’t say your name came up in our talks. Apparently, it was a matter of time until we met again”
.
“Shortest wedding in history” she joked, tucking a string of her blonde hair behing her ear. Paula listened to his story and nodded her head, chuckling softly. “Ah, talking trash about people always brings people together” she teased playfully.”It seems so” she agreed. Clearly the universe wanted them to keep on running into each other. “So... you came by yourself?” She asked, wondering if he had gotten a girlfriend since she last saw him.
