Ellie is used to soft palms on her cheeks, her arms, fingers circling her wrists while he rubs little circles into the back of her hand, and she seeks out the soul-crushing hugs he offers to her without second thought, and for maybe the very first time, she has found a place where she truly feels safe; it’s not Wyoming, it’s not Jackson, it’s right next to Joel with his arms wrapped around her.

Imagining even more than that is hard, and she doesn’t because she has no need to, but then he presses a kiss to her temple for the very first time and suddenly her skin is aching for an entirely new form of contact.

hii I'm the Uncle Tommy anon and honestly... can't believe my silly little ask motivated a whole fic? I love writers, you guys are like 'oops sorry here's 1k words🤲' I'm so happy, I can't wait to read it :')

I didn't think it would, I was planning on just making a little list. I was like yes ok so first of he likes embroidery and- wait no wait why is there dialogue oh no there's plot now oh no this is 1k long already oh no I'm not even halfway there oh fuck.

I should have known this was gonna escalate the second I put the first " and started writing dialogue but uh. yeah. I don't know why I am surprised anymore, this happens all the time.

Have a little unfinished snippet, hopefully you will enjoy this Tommy fic as much as the other ones <3

i am very happy and relieved to announce that the fucking silhouettes chapter is being edited and finished as we speak. this was the worst fucking thing ever and i hope i can go back to weekly updates because by god i almost lost the remaining brain cells that are still filled with sanity.

I feel like at this point I'm creating my own TLOU universe cause somehow most of my fics end up being compatible with each other and contain more and more of the same headcanons and details.

Not complaining though, I love it.

I am actively writing four different things and somehow managing to actually work on all of them???

Silhouettes was supposed to be done yesterday but brain said nope no happiness allowed and I actually need to write this one properly because the emotional development is super fucking important. As long as I put out one chapter per week I'm happy, though I'm trying to make Wednesdays my update days.

The rest are two oneshots and one short potentially multichapter one and those will be done once they're done. Some Joel and Ellie focused (two of them) and one from Tommy's pov.

My WIP folder keeps growing and I really really should not add another one.

But.

My brain has had another idea for a skin-to-skin contact fic and since the last one apparently poked at everyone's dad issues (mine included btw) I might as well.

Thank you so much, I do try to provide all the Tommy content we are missing <3 I have a snippet from the embroidery bonding fic I am working on that I think I haven't shared before. It's still a rough work in progress (mostly because it has grown a more complex plot I did not see coming rip), but I do have some shorter, fluffier Tommy planned to keep everyone afloat.
