Alberta Spruill. Alberta Spruill was 57-years-old when she was preparing to leave for her government job in New York City. While leaving the police officers broke down her door and threw a concussion grenade into her apartment. Causing her to die of a heart attack May 17th, 2003. The NYPD charged into the wrong house because they were acting on what appeared to be bad information about guns and drugs in the apartment. Spruill’s family was awarded $1.6m. A reckless mistake costed Alberta her life.

By @blackwatch07 Pictured here is the late #BarbaraDawson, 57, as she lay dying after a hospital in #CalhounCounty, #Florida, which is about 45 minutes from Tallahassee, discharged her and removed her oxygen mask despite her complaints of not being able to breathe. Instead of helping her, they called the police to remove her. She died not long after despite pleading for help from indifferent hospital and law enforcement personnel. This image reminds me of lynching post cards that I post periodically to remind all that Black lives seemingly have never mattered in America.
