Albedo is a bit hard to capture, I think. I think that’s why I keep pushing myself to write him LKSJDFH hes very cute though and uhg I wish I had him, beautiful alchemist boy
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Teal eyes kept peeking at the person beside him. As the two of them walked along the frozen mountain pass, (Y/n) kept bumping into him, mumbling an apology and swerving back on track only to do it again shortly after. At first, Albedo was worried something had been wrong—maybe the cold had gotten to them, or they’ve gotten sick; the more he watched them, however, the more he realized this was not the case.
The flush of their face, the closeness of their body, and the shyness in the way their eyes could not meet his told him all that he needed to know, but he would keep this information to himself and see just how long it would take them to do something about it themselves.
He kept his little experiment quiet. He would say nothing, nor would he let his body language suggest he knew what was going on. It would be a lovely little experiment to see just how (Y/n) expressed their love, or rather, attempted to express it. Maybe he’d express his back as a reward.
Days have gone by, and Albedo has to keep himself from laughing at their frustrations. If they bumped against him, he apologized and moved. If they started a romantic suggestion, he’d play dumb or simply pretend not to hear. If he caught them longingly looking towards him, he’d ask if there were something behind him. At times, he’d be nice and give them a little prompting--a chance for them to come clean—by asking them if anything was wrong. Time and time again, their face would heat up and they’d quickly dismiss the idea. Albedo can’t help the small smile he keeps to himself when he turns around.
Weeks later, he’d find them still trying, practically gluing themselves to his side. They’d keep quiet, but would keep eye contact with him longer, and leave their fingertips lingering along his hand or arm just a tad bit longer than was normally acceptable of “just a friend” or an assistant. Albedo would offer them the gentlest smile he could to help push them forward a bit more, but they’d still find themselves at a loss for words.
He found the very idea of them being shy interesting. As someone who normally spoke their mind and were adventurous to an extent, watching them flip a switch as they get close in proximity to him was definitely a fun little show. He’d certainly tease them about it once they confessed, but for now, he’d replay all of the little instances together in his mind whenever he got the chance.
Albedo figured the day was finally upon the two of them to finish their little dance. As he leaned over the alchemy table, vials in hand, he watched (Y/n) come up beside him without a word. He could feel their eyes on him for quite a while, not that it deterred him from the task at hand, but it was entertaining to feel the gaze get closer and closer. He smiled as (Y/n) reached for the hand closest to them, attempting to lace their fingers between his, causing him to chuckle to himself.
“Is this your attempt at finally confessing? Holding my hand?”
“You knew this entire time!”
“Maybe.”
He laughed gently as they seemed dumbfounded—maybe a bit betrayed, as well—and huffed out of embarrassment. Albedo turned towards them, taking in the enjoyment he got from watching them go through several different emotions rapidly, unsure on what they should do now and trying to figure out if they had been rejected. To ease their fear, he gestured for them to come closer, and trapped them between himself and the alchemy table once they were close enough. Smiling innocently at them as they grew embarrassed, he went back to his task at hand, ignoring the heat they gave off and the fact he could practically hear their heartbeat leap from their throat.
“Your attempt was very cute, but my hands are a little busy right now.”

Albedo x fem? Reader
Themes: fluff, angst, unrequited love (but is it really? *winks*), misunderstandings (but they aren’t annoying)
Summary: You love Albedo but he starts falling in love with Lumine.
Story notes: this starts as fluff which turns into angst which then turn back into fluff. THIS HAS A HAPPY ENDING!!!
Author’s notes: This is my first time writing something this long so I apologize for any spelling errors, grammar errors, or format errors! It is not proofread. Also I kinda wrote this for myself so I imagined a Fem reader but I’m pretty sure the reader’s gender is never mentioned. Please don’t be too harsh but give me tips on things that don’t make sense with the story or aren’t very satisfying! Enjoy!
You loved Albedo. How could you not? He was the first person you met when you came to Mondstadt and although he seemed unfeeling and cold on the outside; he was actually very attentive and sweet. You knew he was capable of love. I mean, he clearly loved Klee, So why couldn’t he love you too?
You would spend hours upon hours with Albedo in his lab in dragonspine. You would assist him with anything he asked of you while you would talk to him about your life and ask questions about his. You felt comfortable whenever you were with him and he seemed to feel the same.
So how did lumine do it? What was different about her? You had gone back to mondstadt in the early afternoon to look after Klee at albedo’s request. While taking care of her you suggested to get some Cecelias and bring them to Albedo. (his favorite flower) Klee agreed and you went out to starsnatch cliffs to gather them.
As you walked up to his lab, you heard Albedo talking to someone. Rare but not uncommon. Rounding the corner into his lab you saw him giving the famous traveler, Lumine, a smile he had only ever given Klee before. Your heart dropped and you froze in your tracks. Klee ran up to Albedo holding the Cecelias.
Klee: “Albedo! We picked some flowers for you!”
She smiled wide and lifted the flowers up to Albedo’s hands. He smiled a loving smile and accepted the flowers.
Albedo: “Thank you very much Klee. These are very beautiful. Did you have any trouble gathering them?”
Klee: “Nope! Y/n got all the ones that I couldn’t reach!”
Albedo’s gaze lifted up to where you were still standing in the entrance to his lab. You watched his smile change ever so slightly as he locked eyes with you. You jolted and walked forward handing him the rest of the flowers.
Y/n: “h… here”
Albedo: “thank you, Y/n”
He turned back to lumine, who was watching the interaction and studied her for a second before tucking one of the flowers behind her ear. You could see a slight tinge of pink at the tips of his ears and you knew it wasn’t because of the cold. You stayed silent as he chatted with Klee for a few minutes before you headed back down the mountain with her. As you walked you felt tears welling behind your eyes. “Why were you so upset? It’s not like you owned him.” you thought to yourself.
The next day you had fleeting hope that the occurrence with lumine was just momentary attraction and nothing more. You were alone with him in the lab again when he suggested you become his apprentice. He could teach you alchemy and help you apply to the knights of favonius. Spending even MORE time with Albedo while also being useful? Yes please!
The weeks that followed were filled with long days learning alchemy with Albedo. To your surprise you had a natural talent for it, especially when creating healing ointments and potions! Albedo commented how you were a good student and how easy it was to teach you. You had to look away to hide the blush spreading on your face.
One particularly cold morning you got the lab earlier than usual. You walk around the corner to greet Albedo with a “good morning” but stop dead in your tracks when you see lumine is also there, sitting on a table while albedo prepares ingredients for your lesson. They are deep in conversation so they don’t notice you at the entryway. Albedo smiles softly to himself as he talks with lumine. You notice he is talking a lot more than he usually does with you though you can’t hear a word they’re saying. Your heart is beating too fast. Something inside you tells you it would be very uncomfortable if you intrude right now, so you decide to wait right outside the lab until the time you usually arrive. You step outside into the crisp cold air and sit down, bringing you knees up to your chest. You look up at the gray overcast sky and snow starts to lightly fall around you. You think back on how Albedo interacts with lumine. You really love him and as much as you wish you could be the person he smiles at everyday, you know that may not be possible.
Despite it being cold in the mountain, the warmth radiating from the lab keeps you comfortable. Combining that with being up earlier than you’re used to, you feel you eyes growing heavy. The last thing you think about before drifting to sleep is how handsome Albedo is when he smiles.
Your eyes flutter open and you see Albedo at a table working on an experiment. He isn’t wearing his coat and you feel very warm. You look around and realize you're sitting on a chair near the alchemy table in the lab. Lumine isn’t anywhere to be seen. You shift slightly and notice you have extra clothing on. It’s Albedo’s coat. Why does he have to get your hopes up like this?
You sigh and he turns his head to look at you.
Albedo: “Ah. Good morning, Y/n.” Y/n: “Albedo…? How did I get here?”
He shrugs and replies bluntly.
Albedo: “I carried you inside. You would’ve caught a cold if you stayed out there.”
Y/n: “Oh. Thank you.”
You’re searching for something else to say. Something to keep the conversation going, but you can’t find any words. There is a minute long silence between you two as Albedo finishes writing the results of his experiment. He stands up and walks over to you. You assume he’s going to ask for his coat back so you start to take it off. He notices you doing this and stops you.
Albedo: “you can keep it on if you want.”
Before you can respond he hugs you tightly.
Y/n: “wha-?”
You are surprised but not upset. You hug back. After a minute Albedo moves away while still holding your shoulders. When he speaks next his voice is soft and full of relief.
Albedo: “why did you do that? I was so worried when you didn’t show up for your alchemy lessons.”
Y/n: “I… thought it would be awkward if I intruded in your… moment with Lumine”
Albedo: “My… Moment…? Oh. You mean the conversation I was having with her? Yes that probably would been quite awkward for you.”
Upon seeing your wounded expression he explained further.
Albedo: “But not for the reason you probably think. You see, Y/n… I….”
He stops talking and sighs. His cheeks turn a slight pink.
Albedo: “Y/n. I think I am in love with you.”
Y/n: “What?! But- but I thought you liked Lumine?”
Albedo: “Ah… are you referencing the day where I tucked the flower in her hair? In retrospect I will admit that was childish of me... I was upset that you hadn’t noticed my feelings so I tried to make you jealous.”
Y/n: “What about the conversation you had this morning? I clearly saw you look very much in love while talking to her.”
Albedo: “We were talking about you.”
His words make your face heat up.
Y/n: “So this whole time… you were in love with me?”
Albedo: “Yes.”
Albedo gently tucks your hair behind one ear. With his other hand he puts a Cecelia behind that same ear. He leans in close and kisses your cheek.
Albedo: “Think of that as my apology.”
His smile is full of love. So YOU were the one he was in love with the whole time. You think about how you acted and feel silly.
Y/n: “Apology accepted.”
You lean in kiss him.

Take A Break
Albedo x reader
Heyyyy guys I got a established relationship fluff piece for ya enjoy. Basically albedo doesnt know how to rest
You knocked on the alchemists door once, no response. You knocked again, no response. As you knock for the third time you hear a quiet "who is it".
"Its me Albedo, Klee and I made you dinner since you couldn't join us.." you stated as you looked down at Klees specialty, fishy toast, you added some mushroom chicken skewers incase he wasn't interested in what Klee made. As your about to lose yourself in thought you hear a more pronounced "come in".
As you oped the door with the platter in the other hand you got a good look at your boyfriend in two days, he looked tired and burnt out, the braids in his hair were barely staying in place from him running his hand through his hair, eye bags said that he either hasn't slept or barely slept at all. his jacket was thrown over his office chair and his desk was covered in alchemy tools and beakers. he was hunched over these tools as he shot you a tired smile.
"Honey, have you slept at all?" you said as you placed the food on a empty table and walked over to him. as you got closer you could really see the fatigue etched into his features. you took his hand and led him to the day couch in his office.
"I can't sleep when I'm so close to this breakthrough” he said as he gestured to the instruments around the room, refusing to sit down. you pursed your lips.
"you can't find the answer if you keep burning the candle at both ends, please just sit and eat at least." you pleaded as you gazed at him with the best puppy eyes you could muster. you could see the cogs turning in his head as he mulled over you proposal.
"I- I don't see why not" you smiled and pulled the tray off the table and plopped it into his lap after he sat next to you.
"Klee made her specialty but incase you didn't want it I also made you some chicken-mushroom skewers!" you pointed to each item as you explained.
"thank you dear you've done more than enough" he said as he Brought some toast to his mouth. each second he sat here eating with you, you could see the fatigue eating away at him.he needed rest and fast. so as you two talked about your days and the experiment you decided to employ our secret weapon.
You first started off with undoing his braids and placing the tray on the table again. as you ran your fingers through his hair you guided his head towards your lap.
"Dear, as much as sleep is calling me I must get back to my experiment." he tried to get up but your firm hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Albedo, as your significant other I simply cannot let you carry on like this you need rest and you need it now, please let me take care of you." your words and tone left no place for argument as he lowers himself back onto your lap as you continued to brush his hair out.
eventually he fell asleep and not long after you did too, you both enjoyed the night by each others side and Albedo vowed to pay you back with a special trip to Dragonspine.

(Sfw) A day with Albedo
Characters: Albedo x GN!Reader
Warnings: None
WC: 943 words
For Albedo, the mornings in Dragonspine start with him hunched over his alchemy table as the sun rises. Beakers bubble and boil as steam rises through the air. Complete solitude and quiet-- the perfect environment for experimenting.
For you, the mornings in Dragonspine start with you making your way to Albedo's lab. When you arrive, his back is turned to you, clearly focused on the mess of papers and reports sprawled all over his table. You set down the basket of snacks you brought him, carefully approaching the alchemist so as to not make a sound.
By the time you were right behind him, he had yet to even acknowledge you. You watched him at first, observing the small movements of his body. How his hair shifts as he looks around his desk, and how his coat twists with his body. Deciding you finally want attention from Albedo, you reach over and gently grab him by his waist, wrapping your fingers around and digging them slightly into his sides. He lets out an uncharacteristic yelp in surprise, nearly dropping the test tubes he was holding. He looks back, about to snap at whoever just grabbed him, but the words die in his throat when he sees it's you, flashing him a cheeky smile.
"Oh, Y/N. Hello...do you enjoy startling others who are holding dangerous and unknown liquids?" He questions, slowly putting down the tubes. You giggle, shaking your head.
"I like watching you work. It's very calming. Maybe I can finish some work today!"
Albedo nods in acknowledgment, understanding the reason behind your visit.
"If you need anything, just ask."
✦✧✦✧
You both ended up getting lost in your work, not looking up from what you were both working on for hours on end. Albedo remained by his alchemy table while you sat at the writing desk, scribbling away on some reports. You two probably would've worked till sunset if it weren't for one thing: your stomach letting out a loud growl. You stop working at once, feeling your cheeks get hot.
"Maybe it's time for a snack. What do you think Albedo?"
You don't get an answer. Assuming he was still trapped by his experiments, you turn around to ask again. You're greeted by a slumped-over alchemist whose face was pressed on the table. His cheek was squished, forcing some drool to dribble out. The sight made your chest swell-- you knew the man didn't sleep much and the fact he felt comfortable enough to fall asleep with you nearby made you feel especially elated. You didn't have long to enjoy the moment because your stomach growled again, reminding you why you were trying to get the alchemist's attention in the first place.
You step closer and lean down, gently nudging his shoulder.
"Albedo, wake up. I'm a little hungry," you try, keeping your voice low. He stirs a bit, making a low rumbling sound as he rises from his slumber. His eyes flutter open, and he looks up at you as they regain focus.
"Y/N...did I fall asleep?"
You nod, watching as he slowly sits up properly, blinking the sleep away. His hair was slightly out of place-- some of the strands sprawled on his forehead.
"I apologize. I'm sure you're hungry-- the position of the sun indicates we've been here for quite a few hours. We can-"
He stops himself when he can feel your fingers on his forehead, gently swiping the hair strands away from his face. He watches you carefully as you tidy up his hair, picking up on your quiet humming. When you're done, you pull away and offer a small smile.
"Sorry, I just wanted to get that for you. I am in fact hungry though--let's eat!" You turn and walk off to grab your stuff. "I'm sure I have my portable stove and some ingredients to cook us something yummy."
Albedo watches on, slowly bringing his hand up to his head. The feeling of your fingers on his head remains and he can't help the fuzzy sensation traveling through his body.
✦✧✦✧
After a nice warm lunch, you both resume your work. Before long, the sun has start to set-- the day was coming to an end. You didn't want to travel back to Mondstadt at night, what with the cold and darkness, so you had gone ahead and packed your things.
"Thanks again for letting me stay and work here, 'bedo! I got a lot of work done," you thank Albedo, slinging your bag over your shoulder. "Can I come back another day?"
"You're always welcome here at my lab, Y/N. You never need to ask," he answers.
And he meant it-- you were respectful of his time and his need for complete focus. You treated passing adventurers with kindness and were always patient. And when you spoke to Albedo? There was this look of adoration that was always present in your eyes. And that nickname you sometimes called him-- 'bedo. How could he not want you by him?
"Thank you so much, 'bedo!" You reach over and squeeze his hands tightly in yours, smiling up at him. "I'll see you next time!"
With that, you were off-- you started sprinting down the snowy path back down the mountain, back towards Mondstadt where your house was. As Albedo watched you leave, he couldn't help but feel...sad. While he knew you would come back, he seemed no longer interested in continuing his experiment or updating his journal. Nothing seemed appealing without your presence next to his.
No matter, He muses to himself. I'll just prepare for their next visit.
Requests are open ✧˚~

Pairing: Kaeya x Albedo
Warnings: MINORS DNI MY BLOG IS NOT SFW, Fluff, Domestic Kaebedo, Proposals, Autistic!Albedo, Anxiety, 2,020 words.
A/n: This is my first ever Kaebedo piece and I really hope I did this justice, because I put my all into it. I really hope the characterization of these two are good, because I really tried my best. So, yeah, enjoy. <3
Summary: It’s Albedo and Kaeya’s five year anniversary and Albedo has something extra special planned for this very important day.
Tags: @suyacho @tighnarly @themovingcastlez @neuvillettes
The atmosphere was calm and cool, a small wind embraced the two men as they stood and cleaned each other's dishes. They talked and smiled softly as they listened to each other’s every word. It was in the dimly lit kitchen that you could see both Albedo and Kaeya laughing as one of them told a joke. It wasn’t that funny but with how hard they were laughing anyone could’ve easily been fooled. Albedo covered his mouth with his hand in a feeble attempt to suppress his boisterous laughter, but it did nothing to quiet it and Kaeya couldn’t help but smile back in pure adoration. After the laughter had died down the two of them shared a kiss before going back to the dishes.
As the two of them cleaned up the last few dishes and wiped off the table and countertops, they yawned, beginning to tire after such a long day. Eventually, they moved to their shared bedroom where they changed out of their clothes and into some soft, warm pj’s. Curling up underneath the covers Albedo snuggled up close to Kaeya, leaving only a little bit of room open between the two of them. Kaeya secretly loved it. He loved Albedo and all his little quirks. Kaeya adored when Albedo would come home and ramble about his alchemy and all the wonderful discoveries he’d made. He loved how Albedo’s lips fit perfectly between his own, like two pieces of a puzzle that were meant to touch one another, destined to fit between each other’s open spaces. Such a sweet and simple action shouldn’t make a grown man feel as if he could fly high above the clouds, but that’s exactly what kissing Albedo felt like for him. There were so many attributes of Albedo that he’d grown to love over the years, but he hardly expressed it, and as Kaeya grew older he started to regret all the little comments he’d kept to himself all these years.
Albedo turned off the lamp on his bed stand and soon his hands found Kaeya’s underneath the blankets, and carefully he intertwined them with his own, letting out a sigh of relief once he’d felt the gentle squeeze of Kaeya’s palm. The both of them laid there in silence, only the sound of their breathing was audible in the dark room, but it was comforting all the same. It wasn’t until Albedo spoke that the silence was broken.
“Kaeya?” Albedo asked.
“Yes?” Kaeya replied, playing with Albedo’s silky hair with one hand as the remaining one fidgeted with Albedo’s fingertips.
“I’m really glad we met.” He admitted with a huge smile on his face. It made him sad that Kaeya couldn’t see it through the dark of the nighttime sky.
“I am, too.” Kaeya replied to him with a heartfelt smile.
He squeezed Albedo’s hands before he wrapped both arms around him and pulled him extra close to him. His warm body was the perfect sensation to Kaeya’s cool one, eventually lulling the both of them into a blissful sleep. The two of them slept soundly that night, no interruptions or nightmares to dampen their mood the following day. Instead the two of them awoke with bed-heads as the light shone in through the small window in their room. It illuminated the room and they smiled at each other like the whole world stopped in their presence. Albedo and Kaeya, both eager to make this moment last, stayed in bed just a little longer before they started their special day.
It was their fifth year anniversary and Albedo had planned an eventful day for Kaeya. The morning started with a mixture of their favorite foods for breakfast, and after the both of them had scarfed down their meals, Albedo presented Kaeya with a brand new outfit for him to wear for their anniversary. Kaeya gawked at the outfit with wide eyes and an excited smile before turning to Albedo, mouth gaping open.
“For me?” He asked.
Albedo replied with a soft smile and a nod.
“Fuck yeah.” Kaeya said under his breath.
Albedo left the room briefly to get on his shoes as he waited for Kaeya to get dressed, top to bottom in his sharp new outfit. He waited five minutes before knocking on the door to check in on him, but before he could get the chance to hear a reply the door swung open. Thankfully, Albedo had the sense to move out of the way before the door swung open and hit him. In front of Albedo was Kaeya looking like a vision, donning his new clothes with confidence. Admittedly it made Albedo blush. He tried his best to remain secretive about it, but Kaeya could see right through him, and began teasing him for how bright red he was turning.
“Oh? Is someone embarrassed?” Kaeya teasingly whispered in Albedo’s ear.
Albedo turned his head away quickly and coughed out his next words. “N-No?! I’m just a little hot from the heat that’s all. Now, let’s go, we're going to be late.” He tried to save face but it only made him look more guilty.
Kaeya sighed and pulled Albedo against his side and planted a big kiss on his cheek. “Okay, okay, but where are we going?” He turned to face Albedo and put all his attention on him.
Albedo stretched and then relaxed his body and replied. “It’s a surprise.” Kaeya hugged Albedo tightly and gave him a kiss behind his neck.
The day was filled with joy, laughter, and fun. The very first thing they did was venture into the city of Mondstadt for Brunch at Good Hunter. Albedo ordered a serving of Mondstadt Hash Browns and Kaeya ordered a Mint Salad. As they ate they took in their surroundings, enjoying the sights, the sounds, and the gorgeous view of the orange and yellow sun shining brightly above everything and everyone. They watched as people walked by, saying hello to a few familiar faces. Some gave Albedo a certain look, a look that Kaeya would learn all about in due time.
An hour eventually passed when Albedo stretched out his arms and suggested he and Kaeya hit the next stop on their adventure. Truthfully, Albedo brought this up partially because he didn’t want to be late (although, they both had plenty of time), but also because the sounds were becoming unbearable and grated on his ears and he wanted to go somewhere quiet, as well as somewhere that had a decent amount of shade. So, after taking care of their food they left hand in hand to somewhere much more serene, somewhere that Albedo could set the mood for the final act of the day. Even though it was only one in the afternoon for them, Albedo was ready to pop the question. He was growing more impatient with each step he took and with every grin Kaeya tossed his way.
The box in his pocket which encased the ring was growing heavy in his pocket, and the words Albedo yearned to say left a soreness in the back of his throat that he was unfamiliar with. In other words, Albedo was both excited and terrified. He didn’t know if Kaeya would say yes or if he’d reject him completely. He knew Kaeya loved him, there was no doubt about it, but he worried there might be other factors that could hold him back from marriage, and as plausible those reasons seemed he brushed the worries out of his mind. This was supposed to be their special day, and Albedo couldn’t let some silly worries of his ruin that for either of them.
“Are we getting close?” Kaeya asked. Trying his damndest to hide his impatience and excitement, but Albedo saw through him like a glass door.
Albedo squeezed his hand. “Almost.” He said with a certain kick in his voice, one beaming bright with eagerness and a tad bit of anxiety.
It was only about ten minutes later that Albedo held a smile to his lips and heard the pleasant gasp slipping past Kaeya’s mouth. Before the two of them was a large blanket sprawled out along the grass, a stray basket filled with various delectable foods were hidden, waiting for the moment they would be handed out and passed back and forth from one man to another. Kaeya nearly sprinted to the blanket. Seating himself and patting a spot beside him for Albedo to beside him, Kaeya waited eagerly for Albedo to begin spreading out the food. Albedo was now internally thanking the traveler and Paimon for their help with setting this little picnic up. Once Albedo had finally sat himself beside his beloved, he started to hand out the food. One by one till the blanket was covered in all of their favorite foods. It wasn’t until Kaeya had begun eating that Albedo had started to do so himself. Albedo always was quite the gentleman, so of course he’d wait until Kaeya was served before diving into the food himself. The mood was set, joyous laughter filled the air and both men smiled at each other as if they were falling in love for the very first time.
Several hours had passed and both of them had long since had their fill of food. Their bellies were full, hearts warm, and held each other hand in hand. It was finally time, at least that’s what Albedo had told himself. It had been quite some time since they left their shared home for what was about to be a very special day, turned into an even more important evening. It wasn’t just an anniversary present, or a promise to have and to hold each other, it was a promise to Kaeya that no matter what the world had in store, no matter where he went, who he became, and who else was brought into their life, that no matter what the number one constant in Kaeya’s life would always be Albedo. That is, if he’d have him.
Albedo’s hands shook as he took both of Kaeya’s hands in his own. “Kaeya?”
Kaeya turned to face him with a smile so big it scrunched up that beautiful nose of his. “Yes, Albedo?”
Albedo cleared his throat and pushed past the intense anxiety and fear he was feeling, reaching forward for that excitement he had been soaking in all day. “I have something for you.”
He gave Kaeya’s hands a gentle kiss before he stood upright, bringing Kaeya onto his knees momentarily. “Kaeya, I’ve known you for a great while. I love you, I’ve always loved you. And while I’m no good with words, I think I’m quite alright at showing you how I feel, or so I hope. So, Kaeya, if you’ll have me I’d like to show just how much I love you for the rest of our lives.”
Albedo got on one knee and finally pulled out that little black box, propping it open to show a gorgeous golden ring. It shone in the evening sunlight brightly and beautifully. Kaeya began to tear up and his heart raced with a thrill he’d never felt before. This was it, he thought. This was the beginning of everything and more, everything he wanted.
Albedo looked deep into Kaeya’s eyes, and for once the direct eye contact didn’t feel entirely uncomfortable or painful. “Kaeya, I promise to take care of you, protect you, and love you for the rest of my life no matter what. So, my sweet, Kaeya, will you marry me?”
Before Albedo could get even a single breath in, Kaeya was on him in an instant. Pouncing onto him and kissing him all over his face as he said yes just about a million times over. He’d never seen Kaeya so… well, affectionate. Not that Kaeya was never an affectionate person, rather that he just didn’t show it with such passion all the time. Suddenly, all that fear and anxiety had finally left Albedo and he was left with a heart that had never been more full in its entire life.

Sunshine
⟡ Contains: Albedo x Gn!Reader, Reader takes love potion, Sfw, Fluff, A little suggestive at times
⟡ Orange italics are Albedo’s thoughts
Lately, Albedo’s studies had been interrupted by something he had never quite experienced before. It was a warm feeling in his chest, one he couldn’t quite explain properly. Whenever he thought of you, his dearest friend, that feeling always seemed to occur. It really puzzled Albedo. Was this just how friends felt about one another? Or perhaps something special?
One day, Albedo couldn’t take it anymore and decided to get to the bottom of this emotion. Of course, the first step was to invite you over to his lab for a chat. Albedo got out his feather pen and began to write you a letter.
"Dear [Name],
I have come across something quite interesting lately, and it seems to be connected to you. I believe that it is worth investigating. It would be lovely if you were to come by my lab tomorrow so we could discuss it. Make sure to pack warm clothing. Dragonspine is a harsh place, and I wouldn’t want you to get frostbite.
Sincerely, Albedo."
Albedo’s letters were always very straightforward. He licked the envelope closed and set off towards Mondstadt to deliver it to your house himself. This was how Albedo usually invited people, as he was quite introverted. In his eyes, the less social interaction, the better. There was no need for him to come inside to talk to someone when they could just read the letter.
However, just as he was about to set the letter inside your mailbox, he got the intense urge to knock on your door and talk to you in person instead. Hm, that’s new. Another odd feeling surrounding [Name]..
But before he could knock, you walked up from behind him. "Albedo? What are you doing away from Dragonspine?"
Albedo was a little bit startled, but his voice didn’t give it away. "Ah, what a coincidence. I was just about to come to talk to you."
"Oh? About what, exactly?" You asked him.
"Well, I don’t exactly know what it is. That’s why I’m here. It’s worth discussing, I promise you. I would prefer we talk in my lab, if you’re up for the trip."
You raised an eyebrow. "Albedo, you’re the alchemy expert here; do you expect me to understand anything about your research? If you don’t understand something, how in the world will I?"
Albedo laughed. "It’s not about my research, [Name]. It’s something else, and I know it’s connected to you in some way. Do you mind coming with me right now?"
"Uhh.. alright then. I suppose I don’t have anything better to do. Just let me set my bag down inside first; I just went shopping." You said, sounding extremely confused. Albedo was your best friend, but that didn’t mean you understood him a hundred percent of the time.
Albedo nodded and waited outside as you put your things next to your entry table. Though, before walking back out, you grabbed a bottle from inside the bag.
"Well, should we get going?" You asked him.
"Yes, we should. Though I’m curious, what is that drink you’re holding?" He pointed to the bottle, which was filled with a rouge colored liquid.
As you began to walk with him, you explained. "It’s some drink I got while shopping. There was a farmer’s market in town today, and this one stand was giving out free stuff."
"Ah, have you tried it yet?" Albedo asked, trying his best to engage in small talk.
"Nope, not yet." You took the cork out and took a small sip. "Ooh, it’s very sweet; it tastes almost like strawberries and honey."
Albedo’s eyes lit up. He had a very big sweet tooth and was seriously considering asking for a sip. Though, the bottle was quite small, even just taking a small sip would be drinking a lot of the contents in it. So he decided against it. I’ll just find something when I get back to Dragonspine.
As you walked, you soon finished the drink and put the empty bottle in your pocket.
"Oh, Albedo, you like candy, right?" You asked him.
"Yes, I do; why?"
You rummaged through one of your other pockets and handed him a small box of sweets. "Here, have these. I was going to eat them, but that drink was just so sweet that I don’t feel like it anymore."
Albedo took the candy from you, trying to contain his excitement. It was just a small gift; why was he so happy? Sure, he loved candy, but not so much as to make his heart skip a beat when he received it. Strangely, his thoughts lingered on the way you smiled at him when offering the box to him. Another abnormality in my emotions, huh? What could be the cause?
"Thank you, [Name]. I really appreciate it." Albedo smiled back at you.
Eventually, the two finally reached the river bordering Dragonspine.
"Come here, [Name]. The only bridge across is broken; I’ll have to use my vision. Unless you want to go take a swim?" Albedo said to you.
"I’d freeze to death if I went into that river, Albedo." You laughed and then walked over to him.
He set down his elemental skill before picking you up bridal style in his arms. As you felt Albedo’s arms around you, your cheeks began to feel a little warm. Meanwhile, Albedo’s face was tomato red, and his heart was beating extremely fast. What in the world is this feeling? I’m just carrying them; why am I nervous all of a sudden? Hm.. even more evidence that I must speak with them about this anomaly.
Soon, he got you safely across the bridge and set you down. "[Name], you are looking a little flushed; are you okay? Are the temperatures getting to you? I can give you my coat if you’d like."
"Speak for yourself, Albedo." You teased him. "The cold is making you bright red."
Albedo chuckled a little. "Yes, yes.. the cold. Yeah."
It is most definitely not the cold; these feelings have nothing to do with the climate of Dragonspine.
"[Name], my offer still stands. I can give you my coat if you are getting cold." Albedo seemed a little worried for your well-being.
"That would be appreciated. But what about you? Won’t you be freezing? I wouldn’t want to take it from you if you’ll be suffering without it."
"[Name], do not be concerned. I’m not bothered by the cold, as I’m not human. Feel free to take it." Albedo said as he handed the coat to you.
As you put it on, you could smell his scent on the fabric. A strange feeling washed over you, and you pulled the hood over your head. Something about that chalky aroma of his made you weak in the knees.
After a short walk, you two finally reached Albedo’s lab.
"We’re here, [Name]. Make yourself comfortable while I brew some tea." Albedo turned around to look for the needed ingredients.
You sat down, leaning against the alchemy table. You felt a little dizzy for some reason and were giving yourself a break from standing. Suddenly, your eyes grew heavy, and you passed out.
When you came to, Albedo was sitting on his knees in front of you. "Are you okay!? Do you remember your name? Let me take your temperature. Do you have any idea why you might have passed out? Do you need water? Does it hurt anywhere? Are you taking any medication right now??"
You looked at him as he bombarded you with questions, your cheeks quite flushed.
"[Name], why aren’t you responding? What’s going on? Please say something. I need to make sure this isn’t serious." Albedo looked extremely concerned and began to check if you had a fever.
Suddenly, you grabbed the back of his head, and pulled him in for a kiss. Albedo’s eyes went wide, and his entire face went a bright shade of red. He tried to get away from you, but you pinned him down to the floor.
"[Name], what are you doing!?" Albedo looked up at you, extremely flustered.
However, you didn’t answer him, and you went in for another passionate kiss, savoring the taste of his lips. He tried to struggle again, but it was to no avail. Then he got an idea. When you paused for a minute to catch your breath, Albedo bit your lips. Hard.
Due to the pain, you lost your focus, and your grasp loosened. Albedo immediately rolled away from you and stood up. His hair was messy, and his heart was beating fast. Oh.. oh wow. That was something. Not unpleasant in the slightest, but very surprising nonetheless. As weird as it sounds, I think that I actually enjoyed that.. a lot. I suppose I know what those feelings I was having towards them are now. I fancy them. Interesting.. I’ve never experienced love before. Though, they aren’t acting quite right, there’s something I need to check.
Before you could fully recover, Albedo pushed you against the alchemy bench and used two of his fingers to open one of your eyes wider. Yup, it’s as I expected. Love potion. [Name]’s irises are slightly pink. Even if I like them and don’t mind their advances, I mustn’t let them do as they please in this state. They aren’t in their right mind; it would be wrong of me to take advantage of that.
As Albedo was lost in thought, you managed to knee him in the stomach, winding him.
"Aah-!" Albedo yelped.
You quickly picked him up as he was catching his breath and set him down with his back against his desk. You held his arms down, effectively pinning him.
"[Name], don’t take this any further. You’re not thinking straight." Albedo warned you, attempting to get through to the last bit of sanity you had left.
You leaned down, and Albedo braced himself, expecting another passionate kiss. However, you whispered something in his ear: "Sunshine.."
".. What?" Albedo blushed, the nickname making him feel even more flustered.
"I know you want this, Sunshine. Stop struggling. I see the way you look at me." You said sweetly, trying to convince him.
"[Name], I don’t. Considering your mind is in chaos right now due to that potion and you can’t make proper decisions, using this moment to fulfill my desires would be extremely immoral." Albedo told you, trying to stay calm and collected.
"Mm.. you’re no fun." You moved one of your hands to push some hair out of Albedo’s face.
Spotting an opportunity, Albedo used his free hand to push you away. This caused you to let go of his arm, allowing him to escape. Once he was free, Albedo ran to his shelves to try to find an antidote. I’m sure it was here; I’m sure I had something to fix this.. I just have to-
Without warning, you grabbed his shoulders, smiling, and turned him around to face you. "Trying to run away? Do you really hate this that much?"
"No, [Name], I don’t hate what’s happening, I hate the fact that the potion is making you do it. I’m not going to take advantage of you, and that’s final. I know you’re only trying to convince me because the potion is fogging up your thoughts." Albedo looked into your eyes, which were now an obvious hot pink color.
You pushed him against the shelf, smiling. "You look cute like this, Sunshine."
Suddenly, Albedo saw the antidote on the shelf. It was just out of reach. If only he could just get a little bit closer, then—
You grabbed Albedo’s hair, pulling his head to one side. Gently, you bit his neck, causing him to let out a tiny whimper.
"Mm~"
"Oh? Enjoying that, hm?" You smiled, continuing to bite.
Your fingers caressed his body gently, the feeling driving Albedo crazy. Turning a little bit, Albedo managed to get a hold of the small green vial.
"[Name], can we make a deal here?" Albedo asked you.
You stopped touching him for a minute, intrigued. "Sure, what is it?"
"You drink the green liquid in this bottle, and I’ll let you do anything you want to me, okay?"
You smiled mischievously. "Really? That’s all it takes? Anything for you, Sunshine."
You took the bottle from him, downing the whole thing in one go. The pink color faded from your eyes, and you blinked a couple times in confusion.
You saw a messy-haired, red-faced Albedo standing in front of you. "What.. happened?"
"Before I tell you, you must promise me that you will never take free drinks from strangers ever again."

Late working hours.
albedo x reader <33
c/w: very fluffy, comfort, sleepy reader, overworked albedo, cuddling, the reader is a girl, no use of y/n, mentions or Rhinedottir
a/n: my first fanfic here!! sorry for any mistakes, english isn’t my first language.
He carefully opened the door, doing his best not to make a sound with a bunch of keys he held.
It was already dark outside for a few hours, but the night was warm. That was a nice difference from Dragonspine’s coldness, that he had just returned from. Normally, he’d stay there and keep doing reasearch, sleep for maybe an hour and continue, but right now he would do anything to spend every single night in a certain warm bed, in Mondstandt.
He laid down the keychain on the table, doing it as slowly as he could, worried, that if they land on the wood too abruptly it might create a thud so loud, even the dead would wake up.
The light wasn’t turned on too. Not even a single candle lit up in the house. Only the moon shining through the see-through blinds in the living room. This made reaching his destination even harder, because despite being made of chalk, he doesn’t have cat eyes. Who knows, maybe with his potions he’d be able to make his eyes glow in the dark, just for the sole purpose of getting into a bed safely after blowing out the candles?
The blonde made his way upstairs, miraculously not tripping and falling down like an idiot. Rhinedottir might’ve raised him to be perfect with alchemy, but nothing can save a man from tripping over like an idiot. His muscles were just as tired as he was, after doing all the work today. He has done much more than he intended, now suffering the consequences of overworking himself.
In this room, the moon was shining a bit more. Revealing a curled up figure sleeping soundly in the bed. The girl’s vision lied on the night table, briefly lighting up the small things around it. Albedo looked at her for a solid few seconds, that felt like hours, realising how much she changed his life over the past year. For the better of course.
He took his coat off, placing it on the hanger, not worrying about jingling keys anymore. He changed quickly into a simple pijamas, consisting of a spare white shirt and a pair of shorts. Ideal for warm nights just like this one.
Albedo got closer to the night stand, standing over the bed for a minute while un-doing his side braids. Just now he realised how truly tired he was. Suddenly, a wave of tiredness washed over him, making him struggle to keep his heavy eyelids opened. Now, he had only one goal to accomplish, and no, it wasn’t alchemy related. Basically, joining the sleeping girl right beside her. He noticed how she fluttered her sleepy eyes when he was struggling with a knot in his hair. She must’ve heared him on the stairs, or opening the door. She definetly knew he finished everything he needed and now was desperately wanting to just lie down. After all, this wasn’t the first time he got home late.
The blonde was just about to lie down, but a thought appeared in his head, to maybe go down to the kitchen, just to get a glass of water just in case one of them wanted a sip at some point.
He took a step to the door, when a gentle hand grabbed his arm. It barely held it, muscles relaxed from the sleep.
- and where do you think you’re going.. - the girl whispered, not pleased with his desicion to go anywhere.
- go to sleep darling, i’m gonna get some water for us. - he explained with a calm voice.
- ….fuck..that water. - she said, fighting her sleeping state. With that, she tugged on his arm gently, which was a very important decision-making aspect for Albedo. Well said, screw that glass of water.
He got into the bed, where he instantly relaxed under the duvet and sunk into the soft mattress. His first instinct, was to hug the girl from behind, per usual. Of course he’d be the big spoon, and not because of the height difference or her preference. He loved the idea of protecting his loved ones, whether it would be in a fight or simply holding their hand just to give him a peace of mind. Because he took care of his little sister so well, it became his silly little duty to do everything in his power to protect the most important people in his life. The unconcious girl being on top of the list.
The blonde embraced her softly, feeling the warmth of her skin spread to his own. This was the most perfect of all ways to fall asleep. Feeling the safest in the world, in the most comfortable place he’d be able to think of, with his favorite person. All or his worries, plans and thoughts dissapeared right there in this very moment. It felt as if he fell asleep right at the moment his head fell onto the pillow.
Could you imagine, a man made of not blood, but chalk feeling butterflies in his stomach someday? A warm sensation forming inside of him slowly, turning into a little comforting tingle in his brain? Well, I’d say it’s not something that his creator could’ve ever considered. However, this is the exact way of how she made him feel.

Time to reassess 姻佳そ
Hi everyone! It’s me, Jessica. Lauren lost motivation for this second part, so she asked me to adopt this book, at least for this chapter. So, I took it upon myself to take the plan she had for this story, and throw it out the window. Uh… oops?
Hope you’re all doing well!
Lauren:
HAHA WHOOPS. In the middle of writing the secound chapter I abandoned it. Now I shall re-adopt this poor book. I'm planning to have 4 parts, or maybe 5. Either way.. enjoy~
part 1.

Mondstadt had a beautiful view, and [Name] found herself wandering about the streets, snack in hand. Though she had no aim for where she was going, she eventually came upon Timaeus’ working corner.
“Miss [Name]! If you’re not busy at the moment, could you fetch Albedo for me? I just made a major breakthrough in my research!” Timaeus said excitedly.
[Name] rubbed her temples, “Hm, I suppose I could, since I don’t have anything to do anyways...”
“Thanks so much! As a Visionless person, it’s really difficult for me to make the trek all the way to Dragonspine.” Timaeus scrunched his eyebrows.
“I can see why it would be difficult, but I’ve never had any problems going up and down the mountain...” [Name] pondered.
“My apologies, I won’t bother you with this any longer.” [Name] waved her fingers and began making the long walk to Dragonspine.
‘Am I forgetting something…?’ [Name] thought. ‘Oh, a coat. What I wouldn’t give to have a Pyro Vision right now…’
[Name] continued on her journey to Albedo’s camp. Along the way, she gathered a few leaves of mint, as the mint of Dragonspine was the best she had ever found. She also guided a few Seelies to their perches. They rewarded her some treasure in return, which [Name] decided to take to Albedo to see if there was anything of worth.
“Oh, I never thought I would be seeing you here.”
“Good afternoon, Albedo.” [Name] dumped her spoils into his arms. Hold this.”
“You really haven’t brought a coat.” Albedo blinked slowly, indicating that [Name] didn’t have a coat on.
[Name] shrugged. “Forgot.”
“Still, it’s not good to wander around here without extra protection from the elements.” Albedo chided gently.
[Name] regarded him amusedly, “Concerned, aren’t we?”
Albedo coughed a little, blush on his cheeks. “I was simply worried for your well-being.” He cleared his throat. “Here, take mine. I’ve become somewhat accustomed to the climate.”
Without waiting for an answer, he draped his coat over her shoulders. It was light, but very warm.
[Name] gently touched the alchemy table, “What are you working on?”
Albedo picked up the bottle and inspected it a little bit, “The Honorary Knight came over a few minutes ago, and I decided to conduct an experiment on her.”
{Name] scrunched her eyebrows, “You conducted an experiment on her? That sounds a little weird, ‘bedo.”
“Oh, you may have misunderstood, I just had her do some physical tests.” Albedo gestured his hand towards the Ruin Grader outside his camp. “She’s fighting one of those, up near the southern part of the mountain.”
[Name] brushed off the dust on the alchemy table.
Albedo curiously looked at [Name]. “What brings you here? Aren’t you supposed to be at work right now?”
[Name] wiped her hands on her dress and sighed.
“I quit the Knights of Favonius.”
Albedo gazed at [Name], looking away once he saw discomfort on her face. He sighed as he placed the bottle containing the mysterious liquid on the table.
Albedo gestured to the couch, inviting her to sit down, “It was because of the incident right?”
[Name] was taken aback, "How do you know? You were in Dragonspine at the time, and I'm sure Jean didn't send someone to inform you.”
“The Honorary Knight told me when she visited Dragonspine.” Albedo replied.
[Name] scoffed, “I see. Who even is this Honorary Knight anyways?” She wasn’t really sure what this burning feeling in her chest was, but she knew she didn’t like it.
Silence settled over the camp like a heavy cloud. [Name] shifted restlessly, suddenly feeling a little guilty for her sudden outburst.
“Albedo~ We’re back!”
Well, at least now [Name] could see who this Honorary Knight was. Lumine stood there with her floating companion - Paimon, [Name] recalled. She brushed the snow out of her hair, wringing her dress dry at the same time.
“That was so annoying,” she huffed. “Seriously, what was the point of making me do this when you wouldn’t even be there?”
Albedo looked up from whatever he was doing. “Welcome back, Lumine. To answer your question, I was, in fact, watching,” he gestured to the thing he was fiddling with. “See for yourself.”
Lumine leaned over the table in interest. [Name] considered staying back, but if she were to become Albedo’s student, she should try to get as much information as possible.
On the table, was a large box, which was connected by a cord to a glass screen. On the screen, to [Name]’s astonishment, was the very same device that she had created.
Though [Name] was a Knight of Favonius, before she became one she was an inventor. Her grandfather taught her everything. Inventing is similar to alchemy, he had said. Both may bring forth both new life, and mass destruction.
Of course, unlike Ruin Guards or Ruin Graders, such as the one Lumine had fought in the wilderness, this device was not meant to be malicious in any way. Instead, it was a means of communication, though it was also good for espionage. The screen allowed one side to watch the other, connected to a small clip, which was currently attached to Lumine’s chest. Then, the person with the screen could then see everything from the point of view of the clip. How did it end up in Mondstadt, [Name] would never know.
“-[Name]?” Albedo was saying.
[Name] blinked back to reality. “Sorry, could you repeat what you said?”
“Do you know anything about this device?” Albedo asked carefully.
[Name] contemplated lying, but ultimately decided that Albedo was too perceptive. “I… I created that.” she eventually said. “It’s a prototype, it’s incomplete. The box and everything in it is meant to be inside the screen.”
Albedo stared at [Name] for a few seconds. Then, he looked back at the prototype. “How interesting,” he mumbled.
“WAIT, so you mean that [Name] made this thing?” Paimon said loudly, interrupting the silence of the cavern. “That’s so cool!” she said, hands covering her mouth. “Do you think [Name] can make something that can make you food whenever you want??”
[Name] snorted. Paimon had officially removed any traces of heavy air. “Maybe I could,” [Name] said, just to humor her.
Paimon gasped. “Oh, all the food Paimon could eat if she had something like that… and Paimon wouldn’t have to pay a single Mora!”
“Is that everything you need?” Lumine spoke up.
“Yes, thank you.” Albedo said. “I just wanted to see how well this device worked, and having a physical exam would surely contribute to my other research.”
“Oh, alright, then. See you, Albedo!” Lumine waved and left, Paimon floating out behind her, chattering away.
“Now.” Albedo turned his gaze towards [Name]. “Is something the matter? Rarely do you come all the way up to the mountain to consult me.”
[Name] fidgeted under his heavy stare. “W-Well, the truth is… I want to become an alchemist.”
“Hm.” Albedo said. “You do know it’ll take years, maybe even decades, to even begin to understand the mysteries of alchemy? Especially for a Visionless person such as yourself.”
[Name] stood a little taller. “I’m willing to put the work in, Albedo. I’m no stranger to toil.”
“I’m well aware.” Albedo hummed. “However, I have a better offer for you.”
“Alchemy is the craft that brings new life, or modifies existing life. Furthermore, it originates from Khanri’ah. I trust that you know this, but so too does the most advanced machinery.”
When [Name] nodded, Albedo continued; “Thus, these two, machinery and alchemy, work hand in hand. When combined, it can produce results that the world has never seen.”
[Name] frowned. “I’m not sure where you’re going with this.”
“From what I can tell, you are a master of the mechanics of man-made machines.” Albedo said, his eyes sparkling with a light [Name] didn’t think she had ever seen before. “Therefore, I do not wish to take you as my student, but to for you to work as my partner, so that our combined expertise can reveal answers I cannot reveal alone.”
Even before Albedo finished talking, [Name] already knew what her answer was.
“Yes.”

like you were written for me
summary: in which i read a lot of pretty things that remind me of a lot of genshin impact characters.
featuring: albedo (hurt/comfort), dainsleif (angst, reader has passed away), diluc (hurt/comfort), childe (fluff and angst?), kaeya (fluff), kazuha, thoma (fluff), venti, xiao (fluff), xingqiu (fluff), zhongli (fluff) x g!n reader (sepereately) (i'm pretty sure there are no gendered terms, but this isn't proofread, so if there are, please let me know so i can fix it)!
cw: implied eating disorder/body dysmorphia in albedo's, mentions of childe's real name
personal favorites: albedo, childe, xingqiu
albedo — the role of a lover is exactly the same as the role of an artist. if i love you, i must make you aware of the things you do not see." james baldwin
albedo doesn't normally return home until late in the night, his research ruined his sense of time. so you thought you had time—time to clean up and keep this little incident a secret from your lover. but you thought wrong, because the first thing albedo noticed upon entering the dark bedroom was your form balled up in the middle of your shared bed with tears staining your cheeks. he took cautious, quiet steps towards you, not failing to notice the half eaten plate of food sitting neglected on the bedside table.
taking you into his arms, he gently questioned, "have a bad day?"
you bobbed your head once, answering him. "'m sorry, i was doing so well," your voice trailed off, your words choked by tears.
the sound of your sadness pained the alchemist endlessly, he hated to see you like this, especially over an issue like this. "it's okay darling," he cooed. "we all have bad days, it's just our brains bullying us." his arms enveloped you, his hands moving up and down your back in a comforting motion. "mind to tell me what your brain told you today?"
"the same old same old," you took a shakey breath. "i couldn't stop looking in that dumb mirror, bedo. i couldn't stop scrutinizing what i saw in it."
his hands moved up from your back to your hair, then around to cup your face. "you may not like what you see, but would you like to see what i see?" he pulled your face close, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
he then got up to rummage through his bag; it was brown and made of leather, the bag he always took with him, the bag he was never seen travelling without. after some seconds, he pulled out a sketchbook. though you had accompanied albedo when painting on many occassions, you had never seen this particular book.
coming back to where you sat on the bed, he gingerly positioned himself next to you and opened the book, flipping through its contents.
your eyes widened as he turned the delicate pages—they were all filled with you. sketches of you when you cooking, playing with klee, talking about something that excited you, resting your eyes after a long day of work. sketches of you that were made with such care, with such love.
"[name], i began to draw in order to better myself in the field of alchemy. in that time, i became an artist. but i am no longer just an artist—i am also a lover. your lover."
he flipped to the latest drawing in the book. it pictured you in a field of flowers, a crown of cecilias adorning your head, your mouth curved into a bright smile.
"and the role of a lover," he continued, "is exactly the same as the role of an artist. if i love you, i must make you aware of the things you do not see." he placed the sketchbook in your hands, using one hand to softly grasp your chin, his eyes deeply looking into yours, as if exploring their endless depths.
"you do not see your own beauty, but when i look at you that is all i see."
he pressed his forehead to yours, his words lingering in the air. in this moment, you felt a tear escape your eye; this time, not one of sadness but of joy.
childe — "have you ever seen the hell in somene's eyes and loved it anyways?" maram rimawi
you and your lover walked lazily along yaoguang shoal; the gentle seabreeze carrying the essence of the ocean to your senses, the sound of waves crashing into one another filling the comfortable silence. ajax was always the busy man, his harbinger status brought boundless responsibilities along with it. so moments like these—moments where it was just you, him, and the world—were truly precious.
hand in hand the two of you walked with a comfortable rythym. staring out at the ocean, you couldn't help but compare the water's hue to that of ajax's eyes. you tugged at his wrist, stopping his movements. a questioning look adorned his face. you merely stood on your toes and lovingly planted your lips against his. love overcame his confusion, his left arm wrapped around your torso while his right hand rested against the side of your face.
backing away, you looked deeply into his eyes. they were just lke the sea: an alluring blue, a depth that seemed deeper than eternity.
"your eyes are beautiful," you breathed.
his eyes widened at this. "you think so?"
you nodded your response, entranced by his gaze.
"well, maybe you shouldn't. these eyes have seen too much to be pretty," he looked scorned by the thought of himself.
"no, they've seen too much to be pure. but no amount of hell can take away their beauty."
he frowned, creating some distance between you both. "how can you see the hell in someone's eyes and love it anyways?"
pulling him closer to you once more, you whispered, "i'd rather face an eternity of hell with you than spend a second in heaven alone."
dainsleif — "maybe forever was a word meant for memories and not people."
the tired knight eased his back against a tree, relaxing his shoulders for the first time in a while. his eyes were fixated on the view beyond the hill he decided to rest on: a vast ocean, deep like an unsolved mystery, with light from the lowering sun shimmering against its waves. it was beautiful, he thought. but not as beautiful as the posy that laid in his grip. white petals hanging from an iridescent stem, the bundle of inteyvat flowers littering his hands was second to only one: you.
but he didn't have you anymore, now did he?
all that remained of you were these flowers, carefully kept in a porcelain vase you had crafted together, and your memory. he found it cruel in its comdey, how memories were all he now possessed: the memories of his homeland, of his family, of his men, of you.
chuckling sadly, his lashes fluttered closed.
"dain!"
hearing the smile in your voice, dain turned his neck to face you.
"what've you got there, love?"
you hastily brought your hands to your front, extending your hands to present a bouquet of inteyvats to him. "i found these in an old antique store," your voice was soft—tender even.
"i do, i do," the flowers exchanged hands. "i love you even more for giving them to me."
"so you'll love me forever then?" you teased.
"forever and then some."
the sounds of ships drifting across the water below spurred him from his daytime reverie, keeping him from getting lost in his memories, in your memory.
"forever, huh?"
he sighed. it was a soft and somber sound, one dainsleif found himself making far too often these days. "maybe forever was a word meant for memories and not people—not for you, not for us."
diluc — "i burned so long, so quiet, you must have wondered if i loved you back. i did, i did, i do." annelyse gelman
"where are they?" diluc managed to cough up those words despite nobody being around to hear them. pure rage clouded his vision as he arched over his desk, head in his hands.
you had been missing for four days now. four days since you had dissapeared in the midst of the afternoon sun. four days the heir spent looking and asking and tracking. four days of desperation, of loneliness, of regret.
desperation to find you, loneliness without you, and regret of all the things he failed to say to you.
the last time you were together, he hadn't been his best self. he ignored his feelings for you in a hope that they would dissapear, in a hope that they wouldn't end up hurting you. but, in his efforts to save you from himself, hurt is exactly what he did to you.
"can we please just talk, 'luc?" you pleaded with him.
"apologies, but we have nothing pressing to discuss at the moment." he tried to keep his voice even and reserved.
as you turned to leave, diluc didn't fail to notice the tears escaping your eyes.
oh how he wished he talked to you then. because, if he did, you wouldn't be missing from his grasp now. suddenly, adelaide came crashing through his office doors.
"master diluc," she began. "we've found them! they're staying in a small house in the outskirts of qingce village."
"i thought we checked there already?" "we checked qingce, but not its surronding area, sir." she said, voice heavy with guilt.
diluc wasted no more time in his office. he was quick to grab his coat and greatsword, rushing off to you and your hideaway.
it was already late when he left, the moon acting as his only light source. normally, he wouldn't trouble himself to travelling all the way to the qingce area in such a short time, but tonight was different. he would trouble himself for you.
eventually, a small house began to come into view. diluc didn't know how many hours had passed, all he knew was you were finally back in reach. now standing in front of the door, he raised his hand and knocked on the door. in the past, he would've hesitated with you, but he knew he couldn't afford to hesitate any longer.
he heard movement behind the wooden door: the shuffling of feet—your feet. as you opened the door, your eyes gaped at the sight of an out-of-breath man dressed in black staring back at you. his eyes told you more than his mouth had in the entire past month: longing, aching, regret.
before you could overcome your chock to speak, he spoke. "i'm sorry," he dropped his head. "i'm so, so sorry. i shouldn't have pushed you away for all this time."
you fiddled with your fingers. "you don't have to say that, mister diluc. you don't have to lie to make me feel better."
"'luc," he raised his head to look you in the eyes. "call me 'luc."
"no, it's okay. i won't be a bother to you anymore," you gave him a sad smile, holding back tears.
"but it's not okay. i wasn't honest with you from the start but i should've been. so let me be honest now." he softly held your head in his hands. "i've burned so long, so quiet, you must have wondered if i loved you back. i did, i did, i do." it sounded as if he, like you, was on the verge of tears. you mimicked the way he held you, pulling your foreheads together.
you both stood that way for a while, relishing in the painful comfort of each other's company, bathed in the moonlight's glow.
kaeya — "what is a home if not the first place you learn to run from?" clementine von radics
something had felt off with your boyfriend as of late: he'd been less touchy, more avoidant, and his usual sly comments had lost their edge. you wondered if you did something to him, said something to him, something that was the cause of his change. deep in your thoughts, you walked mindlessly around mondstadt—the city's ambience bringing some peace to counteract your storming insides. as you rounded the corner near good hunter, you ran into the man that consumed your every waking thought.
"kae!" you called out to him.
the cavalry captain stopped in his tracks, his expression hesitant. "hey there, lover." he gave a little wave and attempted to feign normalcy, but his voice was far too strained for that.
"kaeya," you held his eyes. "is everything okay"
a questioning look. "what do you mean?"
you sighed, shoulders sagging. "it's just, you've been kinda avoidant lately. did i do something to upset you?"
a myriad of emotions swirled in his uncovered eye, as if he knew what he wanted to say but not how to say it.
"no," he gave you a soft yet sad smile. "in fact it's quite the opposite. you make me so happy; like i'm finally home." he paused. he didn't know if should say this next part, but he did know that keeping the truth in the dark didn't keep it from breing brought to light. reluctantly, he continued, "and what is a home if not the first place you learn to run from?"
understanding took over your features. as a nationless, fatherless, step-fatherless, brotherless, horseless man that had always had a house but never a home, he was afraid of getting too comfortable with you—with the warmth and security you provided.
"oh kaeya," you cupped his face. "it's a place to come home to at the end of everyday, a place to take off your shoes and rest your feet, a place for you and for me."
smiling down at your pretty face, he wrapped his arms around your waist, pushing you flush against him, pulling you in for a honeyed kiss. the sudden affection normally didn't bother you, but you were right in front of a restaurant. the two of you basically had an audience. noticing the red painting your cheeks, the knight flashed a teasing smirk.
now that's the kaeya you knew and loved.
thoma — "we'd be a wonderful us." keira cass
if you could've had any power, it would have been the power to read minds. his mind, to be specific.
you looked longingly at the boy in front of you. he was so focused on knitting sweaters for the local street cats he failed to see you staring at him in awe. even had he caught you, he wouldn't have minded. you had been friends for so long, afterall. but you didn't want to be friends anymore; you didn't want to be "[name] and thoma", "him and i", "me and him", any longer. you wanted to be "us."
lost in thought, you gasped in surprise as something poked your head. "hey! i finished up that last sweater," he presented the clothing on it's new owner, an adorable calico cat. "doesn't it look just dashing on him?"
you pursed your lips, "it's perfect."
"baha, isn't it? well, now that we're done here, i think we should treat ourselves to some dinner at the komore teahouse."
as you nodded your agreement, he took your hand and helped you off the ground. he doesn't let it go once you were upright though; he kept your hands locked, fingers securely entertwined as if they were always meant to be there. you could feel the heat warming your cheeks. oh archons, you hoped he was too busy talking about what food he was gonna order to notice.
thoma did notice, of course, and he was pleased with your reaction. unbeknownst to you, he too wanted to be more than what you both were now.
you two treated yourselves to a lovely dinner: unagi chazuke, tri-flavored skewers, wakatakeni, sakura mochi. needless to say, you were grateful that thoma's "retainer of the kamisato clan" title protected you from a hefty bill.
seated across from each other at the table, you entertained yourselves. laughter and comfort filled the air in your corner of the room, all other patrons fading into the background.
but there was a moment of silence when cups occupied both your lips, the conversation drying your throats. it was then you could hear the chatter of the other patrons in the space:
"oh, what lovely sweethearts they are!" "do you remember when we first looked at each other like that, hon?" "oh to have a man look at me the way he's looking at them-"
all their statements were flustering, but that last comment was especially quick to heat your cheeks.
"ehe, i guess everyone thinks we're a pair," you cuckled awkwardly. "don't worry though, thoma, i wouldn't disrespect you like that."
a pregnant pause.
"what if i want you to?"
your eyes met his, widening significantly. "well—i-i mean, i wouldn't mind...doing that..." your voice stuttered, getting quieter with every word. you weren't even sure if your following, "i'd love for you and i to be an us," was audible.
it must have been though, as the blonde in front of you chuckled and took your hand in his, lifting it to his lips, leaving a kiss there. "i think we'd make a wonderful us, my darling."
xiao — "no human being has ever stood so close to my soul as you stand." james joyce
the time between protecting liyue from darkness and the sunlight peeking under your bedroom's blinds was the yaksha's favorite time of day. seeing your calm, resting figure with your chest moving in a relaxed pattern brought nothing but peace to his mind.
it meant you had a good rest; and to have slept soundly in the night was to have a good day, and he wanted nothing less than good days for you. and knowing you trusted him enough to wait for you to awaken by your bedside was xiao's greatest honor.
he didn't truly understand what was going on between you two, but he was grateful for your trust, for your unashamed closeness. as an adeptus, he was very used to solitude, so much so that he seemed to detest intimacy. and he did. or, at least he thought he did.
you ruined all that he had thought he was. all those preconcieved ideas about himself, all those characteristics he self-endowed went out the window when you came into the picture.
all of a sudden he didn't want to be alone. he wanted to be with you. all of a sudden, he didn't want to spend his nights chasing demons by himself. he wanted to spend them chasing shooting stars with you. and he just didn't get it—what happened, what changed, why he felt this way.
pondering these questions as he knelt beside your bed, his arm mindlessly drifted over your form, rubbing your arms and back. the motion was so comforting but it stirred you from your slumber nonetheless.
eyes prying open, you breathed, "xiao?"
"good morning," he lifted your hand and pressed a kiss there.
"well, this is a nice surprise," your tired smile shifted into one of humor. "why do you look constipated?"
"i look what?"
you giggled.
"i was just thinking, love."
you tried your best to sober up, and asked through small laughs, "thinking about what?"
"about you." he looked at you so lovingly. " about how no human being has ever stood so close to my soul as you stand." he leaned over you, resting his forearm against the mattress, bringing himself face-to-face with you. "thank you for that."
xingqiu — "i wanted to write down exactly what i felt, but somehow the paper stayed empty. and i could not have described it any better." wtm
xingqiu's hand cramped with its position under the feather quill. "ha," a low sound emitted from under his breath, a sign that his fustration over the letter he was witing you was beginning to overcome him.
it seemed to be teasing him, the paper in all of its blankness. as a successful, published author, writing about his passions and interests was supposed to be the easiest, most straightforward thing in the entire world, and what was he more interested in than you?
nothing. literally nothing.
he would do anything with you, anything for you. see a performance at the heyu teahouse? sure. go jueyun chili picking in qingce village? why, he would love to. eat a bowl of stir-fried carrots for a date night? he'd eat two. and xingqiu hates carrots.
but that's just what you did to him. you turned his hatred into love and smoothed out all the rough patches. you made him feel crazy, sick in the head. and he wanted to express this to you in the best way he knew how to: in words, in writing. he wanted to immortilize you the same way he would any idea that popped into his head and stuck. because you popped into his life and stuck too.
but when he tried to describe his feelings for you, no words could come to mind—despite the fact that you yourself lived there rent free. he looked through every dictionary, asked locals around the harbor, but to no avail. there just wasn't a word strong enough, a word accurate enough, to define the feelings in his heart.
with the sun beginning to set, he knew he was running out of time to find one before his rondevouz with you at xinyue kiosk. rubbing his temples in defeat, he realized something. so, he packaged the unused paper and left the quill on the table.
approaching the restaurant's doors, he heard a sweet sound call his name. "xingqiu!"
he rushed over towards your voice, pulling you into a light embrace. "i have something to give you," he began.
your eyes lit up at his statement, but he raised a finger to your lips before you could respond. "nuh uh uh, hush. you'll have to wait 'till after we eat," his tone was thoughtful at best and mischievous at worst.
dinner was, as expected of the xinyue kiosk, was grandiose in its experience and delectable in its taste. xingqiu knew that'd be hard to beat, but he was hoping what he had to say might be more memorable for you than the food.
he handed you the envelope he packaged before leaving his home earlier tonight, saying, "go ahead, open it up." you did as he said, confusion quickly taking over your features at the sight of a plain piece of paper.
"love, you know i'm a writer. i like to write about everything i love, so, naturally, i'd want to write about you too. as it turns out, i couldn't think of a way to convey my love for you in writing. i wanted to write down exactly how i felt, but somehow the paper stayed empty. and i don't think i could have described it any better," he chuckled softly, cupping your face in his hands. "hopefully this will suffice." he captured your lips gently and you could feel the smile in his.
seperating, you look into his eyes. "oh, it sufficed."
zhongli — "i will love you if i never see you again, and i will love you if i see you everyday." lemony snicket
it had been a long time since you last encountered the old god. his previously loose hair was now tied up all prim and tidy in a low ponytail, his historic robes were exchanged with a sophisticated suit and timeless accessories. despite his different appearance, you knew he was the same rex lapis he was all those years ago.
right now, he was seated at the round, stone table in the middle of the lake at mount aocang. you approached him from behind, an offering in hand.
placing the bowl on the table, you spoke: "i hope this dish is still to your liking, morax."
his lids opened at your voice, revealing a pair of familiar golden eyes.
"ah jewelry soup," he smiled. "you always were a gem." he motioned for you to take a seat, his hand pointing at the stool across from him.
you spent a good time chatting, reminiscing about times past. eventually, the conversation moved from nostalgia to current joy. he recounted the events of late: the trade of his gnosis, his shift into mundane life. he seemed happy and at peace, and that brought you endless joy. you remembered just how brutal life was for him in the past, with the fall of cities and gods comes the rise of suffering.
you know you added to his suffering leaving him all that time ago. seeing him so fufilled now prompted you to apologize for that. "morax, i don't mean to bring up bad memories, but i'm sorry for dissapearing all that time ago." you reached out to him, placing your hands over his. "i'm staying for good now, we can even make a contract out of it," you chuckled. "i know how much you love those."
he gave you a kind smile. "[name], you recall our parting but you don't recall our parting words." he squeezed your hands, "i said, 'i will love you if i never see you again, and i will love you if i see you everyday."
he leaned over the table, reaching out to grab your chin. "that much has not changed. it never will."

In your eyes [Genshin characters x reader headcanons] featuring Heizou, Cyno, Tighnari, Albedo
“What was it that captivated you? What lied deep beneath your mesmerizing orbs? I wonder and I want to know.”
Genre: Fluff
TW: I have no idea how Genius Invokation TCG is played so sorry in advane if I got the rules wrong TT, reader is a forest ranger in Tighnari’s part, short & unedited
<3
Heizou
• You bumped into him when you were strolling around Inazuma city.
• Of course, it was no rare incident that you two met like this.
• You were waving to him, yet Heizou just leaned in and made eye contact with you.
• “There’s something in your eye, let me take it out for you.”
• His fingers got really close to your left eye, but he pinched on nothing as if he was really taking something out.
• “There you go.”
• You were puzzled, obviously, as much as Heizou was grinning at you and twirling his his hair in between his fingers.
• Questionable enough, you asked him what he had “taken” out from your eye.
• He giggled (hsssssss cute)
• “Here it is” he held up that very strand of hair he was holding, smiling nonchalantly. “I saw me in those lovesick eyes of yours.”
Cyno
• He dragged you into playing Genius Invokation TCG with him, unsurprisingly.
• Cyno seemed… a little too excited. Too excited from what you’d expected him to be.
• Was he really that confident in winning this time? Or did he learnt some tricks and ready to pull them on you? You had no idea.
• You both sat down on each side of the table as Cyno professionally shuffled the cards.
• He swiped out 5 cards and pushed them to you.
• However, you did not see any character on all of them, but instead a word on every cards in the following order:
• “me”-“with”-“out”-“go”-“Please”
• You unconsiously grinned “oh my god…” you mumbled.
• "Well then, what was in your eyes, (Y/N)?” Cyno threw a victorious smirk at you, the one that he hardly ever showed anyone else.
• You rested your head on your palm. “I saw an idiot in front of me.”
Tighnari
• It was late night when you heard branches cracking outside.
• Your patrol shift was about to end, but you decided to check anyways.
• At first, you thought it might be some travelers getting lost again or in worse cases, there were fungi invaders - And you hate dealing with those shroomers.
• To your relief, it was just Tighnari inside his tent with an inscense next to him.
• Ah yes, it was also his patrol shift. You thought to yourself and somehow he spotted you.
• Tighnari waved a quick “hi” and patted the spot next to him, signaling you to join.
• “You were staring aimlessly there, anything new that you discovered today?” he asked.
• You shook your head and went about the withering zone you encountered earlier that day. You even showed him the location that you marked on the map.
• Tighnari hummed quietly, though this time, it was him that was staring directly at you.
• “Now it’s my turn to ask what you are staring at.” You giggled.
• “A beauty.” He answered, amused by your oblivion. "A beauty whose eyes are about to close shut to my figure, sleepy head."
Albedo
• As far as you were concerned, he was a mysterious man to begin with.
• Yet you couldn’t help it when the companionship between you both turned into something else.
• You had always loved how his eyes looked – similar to the alchemy symbol, tender and calm in the most beautiful way possible.
• Albedo noticed that too, and as much as you loved his eyes, he loved yours.
• He liked discussing matters in a deep, philosophic way. That’s why his compliments could turn into a whole love poem if you wished.
• There were multiple times when you told him what his eyes orbs looked like. Until…
• “You’re an alchemist and that would somehow makes sense when your eyes just resembled it.” You blurted out. “I wonder what my eyes tell?”
• A smile came across his face, he inched closer to your face and gently stroke your cheeks.
• “I saw curiosity, faith and a future with you. They are but the most wonderful things I could ever ask for.”

Your relationship with Albedo was somehow...private. Yes, people knew that both of you had been really close since the defeat of the cursed Dvalin. But they didn't know the agreement you both made when you were aware of each other's feelings. You would help him if your performance was needed in his experiments, while he would come more often to the city to visit you. Him visiting you in Mondstadt wasn't out of place. He would often walk with you and Klee, then you both would cuddle in your house while talking about each other's day. On the contrary, being his guinea pig might have sounded scary, but it wasn't that bad. He got the chance to see you more often up in the mountain and even check your...body measurements and reactions.
This time was different. You noticed that something was off when Albedo's letter informed you of your assistance in another experiment. He stated that you needed to come with some loose clothes and food, apart from underlining the sentence "do not inform anyone nor come here with company, please". And after some time, you got to his camp.
Alchemy notes, vials, and more potions were placed neatly on each bookcase, filling the space with more life than just white and blue. The fire warmed most of the place, but there was still a sense of cold inside. Your lover was not there. "Albedo? Albedo I'm here. " you started calling out his name in hopes of catching him near the surface, but again, silence filled the camp. After inspecting the camp for some time, you heard light footsteps on the snow, slowly coming your way. When you went to turn around, someone's hand caught your nape, making pressure so your head would get on the table. A torso was flushed against your bent body while the other hand grasped both of your wrists behind your back.
"Hey cut it out! Get off of me!" You tried raising your voice with anger but a dry chuckle was the only thing in response. "Aren't you the type of person to love being bent over by your lover, [name]?" You recognized that voice, Albedo, but...he's not like this. You couldn't deny that indeed you were into these type of things,but not in this context. He has never in your entire relationship ever pushed or pressed you with such manners, he would never hurt you. "Albedo what the hell is wrong with you? Stop pressing my face onto the table!". Before you could twist in his hold another known voice was heard.
"What have I told you about him? Partners must be treated with love and affection. Now release him before he changes his mind." Another...Albedo? But, how? How was he in two different places?
When you were able to separate from the table you took a good look into your lover...lovers. After a couple of seconds you realized that the one who grabbed you from behind did not have the star form on his neck, unlike the real Albedo. He was like a copy, an exact copy but with some alterations in his personality. The look on his face was more dangerous while your real partner was looking at you with loving and forgiving eyes.
"Can you please explain what is going on 'Bedo? Who is he and how is he exactly like you." Your words rushed from your lips, earning a sweet but sadistic laugh from the copy and a sigh from your lover. "Some adventurers mentioned seeing me around Dragonspine a couple of days ago. Even though it's common for me to explore the area and take notes, they described my aura as...unnerving. So, after doing some research, I found him. An almost exact copy of me. His origins start from the Megaflora, copying my appearance to then go on and well, cause chaos". You barely got clear information about the whole story but you let him continue.
"But after some talking I got the chance to collaborate with him, so he could help me conduct experiments". You didn't even notice when his copy moved behind you, his gloved hands going around your waist to push you (again) against his body, collecting a soft gasp from your lips. His lips were millimeters away from your ear, whispering loud enough for the other man to hear. "That's when your part comes in, sweetheart". You caught a glance from your lover, watching the scene in front of his eyes. You could even see a lustful expression building in.
"I thought that maybe you could be of great help by testing some liquids. They're not harmful I can promise you that, but they'll have secondary effects. It's just an idea for a later design". The same voice from behind talked again, but more softly. "Some secondary effects might be...rising heat, dry mouth, panting, need of physical contact, etcetera. So, will you try our new aphrodisiacs?" You weren't new to these types of drinks, Albedo had asked you in the past to taste them. A part of you was already longing for both of them to touch you and whisper sweet nothings so, in an outburst, you nodded almost happily to him.
"That's our good boy". You couldn't tell if it was from the real Albedo or from both of them because your senses were focused on how fast your clothes were being disposed of. The copy worked fast with his hands, getting to see and touch you for the first time. One of his hands grabbed your now exposed hips, yanking you to a chair nearby. The cold tickled your feet as your eyes darted from the table to the man in front of you, who had a grin plastered on his face. "Sit down or else I won't be so caring, bunny".
Swallowing down your pride and nervousness, you watched your lover's figure walk towards you, his slender fingers bringing your chin up so he could see you. "Open your mouth love". He was so caring compared to his other self. With a smile, he let the liquid flow down your throat. It had a sweet yet salty taste and it glowed a rosy pink. "It...tastes good, for the moment". You completely forgot about being naked in front of him, just leaving a small reassuring smile to your partner. After that, they both let you some time to take in the effects.
More time passed when you started to notice how your body temperature was changing. You almost stopped feeling the coldness from outside the camp. A tingling sensation made you squirm in your seat, earning a look from the boys who were focusing on something else. "I think...I'm starting to feel it". Your gaze laid upon both of them, a silent plead for them to get next to you and get rid off this feeling. The first one to leave the papers was the real Albedo, putting a hand on your forehead to check your temperature that ended up caressing your cheek. "Your body seems to react to the liquid. That is good news, meaning that if it's needed we will aid you with the effects". You wasted no time in dragging his hand down your length, making him wrap his fingers around it and letting a shy moan out. " I don't...care. Please just touch me and get rid of this thing". Your pleas got to the ears of your lover, who pecked your lips before moving his hand up and down.
While you were too caught up in the pleasure you noticed something poking your cheek. Opening your eyes you saw the fake Albedo, his cock next to your mouth. Before refusing to touch anyone except from your real partner, his hand found your hair, pulling your head down so you could be closer. "You better suck now before I show you what happens". Albedo smiled at you while nodding, encouraging you to try something new. Your lips pressed a soft kiss on the head before sucking it down your throat, at least what you could tolerate. You could hear his moans and feel the tight grip he had on your hair. Soon enough you were the one moaning when Albedo started sucking instead of jerking you off.
Since your mouth was full you could barely talk, moving one of your hands to your lovers hair while the other made pressure on the copy's thigh. The knot in your stomach exploded at the same time you felt the hot liquid run down your throat. A string of saliva connected your mouth to the copy's cock as well as Albedo's mouth to your cock. Before you had any time to recover you were bent down the table again, ass up and legs spread while a cold and slimy liquid was being put around your hole. The copy was prepping you with eagerness, teasing you with his fingers sliding in and out of you, earning more moans and pleas from those beautiful lips.

"Nngh-! Pl-ease, faster! 'Bedo...!" Your screams filled the entire cave. You didn't even have enough strength to hold yourself. That's why your lovely boyfriends had their hands all over you. The cum running down your thigh made clear how many times you have cummed and how many they had inside of you. Your hole was now filled with your partner's cock, sliding faster as your moans got the best of you. Your body was almost stiff, the fake Albedo finding your nipples entertaining, giving them long licks and sucking around so purple spots could appear.
After another round, you got the chance to get some water, having the chance to sit on their lap, full of hickeys and a sweet but satisfied smile plastered on your face. A hand grabbing your ass and giving it a big squish got them your full attention. It was the copy again, still with a lustful smile.
"Who said we were done with you, bunny?"

I just saw your smut fic where albedo created the reader just for pleasure and I just thought of a concept as well 😳 I hope your requests are open, but if it isn’t, please just read it and give me some comments; or you could just ignore this :3
cw// albedo is quite heartless in this
Like, imagine the reader was discarded because albedo made another one, a newer and a much improved version of reader. And the reader was not supposed to feel emotions, but ended up feeling heartbroken in the end.
Albedo threw you to the cold pile of snow and buried you under; your body naked and unconscious. Unbeknownst to albedo, the primordial albedo (imposter bedo) found you a few days after and felt a sense of sympathy for you— given that he himself was also a discarded creation.
And so he brought you to a cave, fed and gave you some warm clothes for the harsh environment of dragon spine. However, he grew confused once you shed tears when you saw him— just when you woke up. Did he hurt you in some way? Or was it something that his identical “twin” did to you?
As the weeks that you spent with him go by, you came to realise who he really was. He wasn’t your creator, but you couldn’t help but love him as who he was. You don’t love him because he looks like albedo, you love him because he is himself.
Basically two people starved of affection falling in love with each other.
you’re willing to do requests, please make this a fic and add more to it :D (feel free to make it a smut fic)
Greatest Creation (2)
The mentioned fic: "Greatest Creation"
That's kinda sad though 😭 Reader and Fakebedo deserve love too!

The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree...
Much like how Rhinedottir abandoned Subject 2 of her artificial life project, Albedo has buried you deep within the thick snow of Dragonspine and deemed you "broken".
"Am I... broken?"
Last time you checked, you were completely fine, you did everything you were told the best way you can, you love your Master Albedo...
"Here." A carbon copy of your master handed you clothes, despite being a humonculus, your body is susceptible to the cold.
That fake Albedo was walking aimlessly around, thinking of another way to achieve his goal, when he felt a pulse from the ground. He dug you out of your grave, you screamed at him and tried to throw punches...
Unfortunately, you're not built to attack nor protect.
You immediately knew it wasn't your Albedo, he didn't have the mark on his neck that you and your master have.
Despite your cold and naked state, you demanded him to escort you back to your Master, unaware of who buried you in the first place.
Subject 2 felt sympathy grow within him, when you peaked by the corner of Albedo's camp, eyes stained with tears as your Master holds on very dearly to a girl very similar to how you look...
But that's not you...
You saw it all, the blueprints, the materials, the special alchemy table. All of which were used to create you.
You touched your neck, looking at the unmarked neck of the other girl.
The fake Albedo had pulled you away from the scene, leading you to where he's staying.
You're both discarded creations now, thrown away like trash.
It didn't help that this new Albedo you were staying with had the same face as your Master. You screamed and cried, letting all your emotions out for the first time of your short-lived life.
"Why... even though you don't try to be perfect anymore, this Albedo you're with now doesn't intend on leaving you?"
And now you're here.
"What are you doing?" "Albedo" raised an eyebrow when you dropped to your knees in front of him, your hands landing on his pants.
"This is how Master thought me to thank him when he does something for me." You answered, unbuckling his pants to reveal his length.
His cock popped out of his pants, landing right in front of your face.
You giggled, planting a kiss on his tip. "I hope you like it, my new Master."
"Albedo" seems to enjoy you and your little gestures a lot. Looks like what you learned from your previous Master isn't gonna go to waste.

I crave Albedo × Reader
You can call me a simp and you'd be absolutely
correct c:
(Also, I'm tired af while writing this so I may
regret this request later but I honestly don't care rn, ehe~)
So pleease make an Albedo x Reader story :D
If that’s fine with you of course!
(help, I already regret this)
👀 anything for my alchemy boi. Just keep in mind my dear YuYu; you never said it had to be happy >:)
Splinters
Your breath came in ragged gasps and wheezes as you forced your tired body to move. You weren’t as affected by the bitter chill of Dragonspine as you used to be, yet right now the bit of resistance you’d built up over the past few months felt nonexistent. You knew it was beyond stupid for you to be here, but your heart refused to let you turn back now.
Not that you’d be able to make it back at this point anyways.
The snow glittered in the setting sun like millions of tiny diamonds as you continued to climb the notorious mountain. You hurt everywhere; every muscle and tendon in your body screamed, begged, for rest, but you refused. If you stopped to rest now, you’d never wake up.
As the last of the sun’s rays began to fade and the chill of the night sunk its frigid fangs into you, your eyes began to fill with unshed tears. You can’t cry right now, you don’t have the time for that. And so you continue to trek through the snow, fueled by only desperation.
Finally you made out the faint glow in the distance of a campfire, and your vigor returned. You were going to be fine, you were almost at Albedo’s camp now.
You’d be fine.
Everything would be fine.
The bridge creaked a bit as you crossed it, idly wondering if your favorite alchemist heard the sound or if he was too involved in his research to even register it.
A step.
Creak.
A second step.
Creak.
A third.
. . .
SNAP!
The wooden planks beneath your sheared in half as the ancient bridge decided it would take no more. Your hands flew out and clutched the nearest surface, clinging onto the wooden board for dear life. It was still anchored to the rest of the bridge, but it was visibly beginning to strain. Tiny wooden splinters dug deeply into your hands as you held on as tightly as you could.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Albedo’s head flew up from his position at his work table at the deafening sound of wood being split. However, the confusion about the noise quickly turned to dread at the exclamation of shock that followed it; an exclamation from a very familiar voice.
He didn’t hesitate to run out of his camp towards the bridge, not even stopping to grab his discarded coat.
It was dark, but he could see a sight out of his worst nightmares.
You were clinging to an anchor that was seconds away from breaking, the drop underneath you almost half the height of the mountain itself. He surged forward, reaching out for you in desperation; his own eyes just as terrified as yours. You looked up at him with tears pouring down your face. Never before had you been so afraid.
Albedo reached out for you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‘I don’t want to die.’
‘I want to live.’
‘I want to hug Albedo again.’
‘I want to play with Klee again.’
‘I want to see my friends again.’
‘I don’t want to die.’
The splinters dug deeper and deeper into your hands, blood quickly beginning to make it harder and harder to keep ahold of the only thing preventing you from plummeting to your death. You saw Albedo reach out for you, and held onto the plank with all the strength you had with one of your arms, desperately reaching out towards his outstretched hand with the other.
“B-Bedo!”
Your fingertips brush against one another.
Crack!
The board snapped, and your eyes widened in shock as you felt yourself begin to fall. A feeling of weightlessness filled you ash the wind blew past your plummeting form. No scream comes from you, no outcry makes it past your lips.
“[Name]!!!”
Ah. Albedo is… crying. You don’t think you’ve ever seen him cry before. Your heart wrenches in your chest at the sight of his tears.
You screwed your eyes shut, hoping that the archons will at least have the mercy to grant you a swift and painless death.
‘I’m sorry for making you cry Albedo.’
There’s a booming sound as you finally stop falling. You feel every nerve in your body bloom with white hot agony, and then your vision goes black.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The chief alchemist of the Knights of Favonius sits silently in a dimly let room, surrounded by an aura of grief. If he had been faster, if he had just moved even a little bit more quickly, could he have prevented this? Would you still be laughing with Klee? Still be smiling at him with awed eyes as he painted the sunset?
“…Sir Albedo… I… I know this is painful to hear, but I… I think… I think it’s time to let them go.”
The Chalk Prince didn’t respond to the Deaconess’ quiet words, opting instead to study your face.
The ache in his chest never got any easier to ignore whenever he looked at you.
You looked so fragile and small against the stark whiteness of the infirmary. So tiny and hurt and broken.
Albedo longed to see you stir, to open your eyes, to look at him even once more. But just as you had for the past two years, you didn’t respond to his unspoken pleas.
Barbara had told him countless times that it was unlikely you would ever awaken, that even though you were still alive, it was only barely. He knew that if he was a better person, he’d let you move on, to leave this life behind and move onwards to the next.
But Albedo was greedy. And he knew it.
He knew it was cruel of him to keep holding onto you, to keep preventing you from finally resting; yet he could not convince himself to let you go.
The deaconess sighs softly and leaves, closing the door silently behind her. Usually, Albedo would leave shortly after, only to return the next day and the process repeat again.
Except this time Albedo didn’t leave.
His eyes were fixed on your fingers, still scarred from the night he lost you. But his attention was not on the scars.
No, his attention was on the fact that you were moving.
His heart raced as you begin to stir, tears gathering in his eyes when he sees your own [Color] eyes beginning to open.
You meet his gaze, and for a moment, it’s as though the night that had haunted him for two years never happened, as if all was well again.
“[Name] you… You’re awake… I… I thought I would never see you awake again…”
The relief that pours from his voice is obvious, yet you look at him with only confusion.
“I’m sorry, have we met before?”
Albedo’s chalk heart shatters.
“He’s a genius.”
“Truly a remarkable young man!”
“Albedo truly outshines all the titles given to him. Without him, I wouldn't be so sure on where the future of Mondstadt’s alchemy would if it weren't for him!"
A genius.
That was probably one of the most common terms used whenever the people of Mondstadt were asked to express their sentiments regarding the infamous Albedo, Chief Alchemist and Captain of the Investigation Team. Despite the uncertainty surrounding Albedo's personal life, the people of Mondstadt still treated him as a regular member to the Knights of Favonius, rather than peculiar
Albedo, instead, received all kinds of compliments.
Compliments that seemingly worship his intellectual abilities, gushing over the high extent of his alchemy talent and just generally describing him as someone who is always willing to help (despite being coped up on Dragonspine majority of the times). Albedo was truly an admirable individual.
Admittedly, you also agree that Albedo is truly a genius, having been one of the many people that have witnessed his alchemy talents and intriguing expeditions set to discover the truths within the world. Although you wouldn't dare to compare your experiences with him to those of his two assistants, Sucrose and Timaeus, given that you've only known him for a little under two months and they've pretty much entirely known him for years. Albedo had an extraordinarily easy going temperament, but he was still a difficult person to understand, which was strange given how straightforward he could be at times.
Truly a mystery, albeit a beautiful one that appears to have captured the hearts of many. Perhaps your heart has already been taken as well?
“[First name].”
At times, you even wonder if the Chief Alchemist secretly harboured some kind of mind-reading ability, given that he appears to spawn within your general vicinity whenever you think of him.
Your firm grip on the book loosens, and you gently place the printed work on the wooden table in front of you, assuring that the printed work would be safely stored in case you were to return to the contents within the book once again.
Your focus was now entirely on him, noticing the way the blonde Alchemist leaned against the door frame, staring at you with a twinge of interest within his blue eyes. For some inexplicable reason, Albedo has consistently shown a great deal of interest in you, which he doesn't seem to share much with other people, excluding his own experiments. Yet he had always expressed an enormous concern regarding your health, and was always attentive when it came to your interests and dislikes.
“It is time for dinner.”
You venture behind Albedo, peeking at the back of his braided hair, wondering how he would look if he let his hair down completely. Despite his time consumed in his research facility, his hair retained a rather bright yet silky sheen, the colouration of his hair reminded you of the sand that covered the majority of Sumeru's land. At Least that's what you've seen in the pictures of books that Albedo bestowed upon you.
“Although you have been living in Dragonspine for a couple months, I am still not completely aware of your dietary preferences,” he stopped for a moment, before carefully sliding a bowl of warm soup towards you as you took your usual seat, across from him.
“Do forgive me if I accidentally added an ingredient that is not to your liking. You are always welcome to inform me if the food does not suit your tastes.”
The soup, which is really more like a stew, has such a thick, cream-like consistency and is composed mostly of different kinds of vegetables and a few pieces of thinly sliced tender meat. Nevertheless, it seems to be rather flavorful. To be completely truthful, you never imagined Albedo to be such a bodacious chef given that his main expertise was frequently inside the domain of alchemy and science. Being a genius, however, entails that you can essentially accomplish any ambitions, which would be something you could never fully comprehend, since you were simply a standard individual, not some sort of genius. He excelled in the arts, sciences, cuisine, swordsmanship, and you can bet that the alchemist would be more than capable of creating a musical composition.
Tenderly, you picked up the silver spoon from the bowl, collecting the cream-like stew, before gently blowing off the stem that emitted from the liquid. Albedo watches, awaiting for
“It’s really good,” you hum, leaning in to take a bite out of the stew. Chewing carefully, the stew was unsurprisingly good. It had the right amount of creaminess to it, the meat was soft and tender, seasoned just right. Just the way you liked it.
“You really live up to your title of being a genius, Albedo. It never ceases to amaze me how you're so capable of doing anything!”
For a moment - even just a brief moment - Albedo’s lips twitched into a seemingly soft smile, and you even dare to say that the man became flustered at your compliment. The light within his eyes shining for a mere second, containing that almost childish gleam before it quickly faded back to his soft gaze. His smile quickly dropped, although there was still a hint of softness placed within his expression. He seemed rather pleased with your words, only humming in acknowledgement before picking up his own spoon and began to eat away at the stew. The both of you ate in silence. Although it was not the type of silence that would render someone into an awkward situation. In fact, it was like a comfortable silence that was often shared between long-lasting friends, or you could say long-time lovers. You snicker at the thought, before placing the spoon back into the empty bowl. Albedo gently rolls a bottle of pills across the wooden table, urging you to take it.
“Here is your evening medication. It's best to intake water while ingesting the pill.”
The blue pills had an exceedingly harsh flavour, cold to the touch yet so invitingly bright in color. To be quite honest, you've never understood why you need to take such medication every day. You never enquire why these medicines are being taken, only doing what you were told. You did ask, in fact, once, but Albedo only ever stated that they were to aid in preserving your physical stability given that your immune system was a little unsteady due to prolonged exposure to the cold. He said that having small side effects was usual, but you weren't confident if somehow the aggravating headaches and sore muscles were also classified as minor side effects. But you had faith in Albedo. Albedo would have been a great doctor, you were certain, had he not chosen to become an alchemist.
After taking a sip of water and having to remove the cap, you popped one pill into your mouth, grimacing a little as the pill lodged towards the back of your throat.
“Sorry, I can never get used to these pills.”
You said, rolling the bottle of pills back to the Alchemist, watching as his slender fingers wrapped elegantly around the plastic tube before tucking it securely into the pocket of his white coat.
"It's alright, I expected that much of a reaction. Although I can assure you that you are only needed to remain on this medication for a couple more months."
He remarked, gathering the empty dishes and putting them properly on top of one another. You grin, feeling somewhat relieved at the unexpected news and glad to finally be off the tiresome prescription. Perhaps on the next expedition to Liyue, you should simply stop by the infamous pharmacy and gain more information regarding your prescription. But at the same time, you doubted that you would even need to do that. I mean there's nothing wrong with the pills, you know right?
"Afterall, it's just safety precautions."
Albedo wouldn't lie to you, right? He was someone you dearly trusted, so there was just no way he would have the courage to be secretly drugging you or anything.
Right?
-
According to the talented Alchemist, he and Timaeus discovered you in the depths of dragonspine, fighting for your life and nearly on the verge of hypothermia. He recalled you being unconscious, entombed deep within the snow, and dressed in thin clothes that were clearly not meant to be worn in such a freezing climate. He stated that he initially mistook you for a traveller from another nation who had no technical understanding of dragonspine's cool climate and had hurriedly attempted to climb to the mountain's summit without the necessary equipment. Fortunately, he and Timaeus carried you down the mountain and nursed you back to health, coupled with the fact that you were supposedly unconscious for more than a week.
He didn't spare any further details, but again, you never considered asking him to elaborate the story. Instead, you simply accepted his explanation even though there were times where you wondered how you had never met his accomplice, Timaeus, aside from the quick glimpse you managed to catch him during the early hours of the morning.
It's best to trust Albedo's narrative considering you wouldn't have been certain of them yourself. I mean, isn't it more comforting to accept the advice of a certified prodigy rather than someone who can't even recall their own birthday?
Even while you can recall a few details and visuals, such recollections are not really helpful in understanding the fundamental cause of your being. Furthermore, the majority of these little pieces are vivid visuals that seem to aggravate your headache, causing piercing headaches on one side of your head that seem to last for hours, or in the worst cases, days.
In spite of this, your intuition just concludes that you are not of this world. At least not in Teyvat's world. The first few weeks after your awakening, time behaved fairly erratically. Time in this world seems to move more swiftly than your physical body is used to, but you are unsure of how to explain the sensation. Albedo assures you that there is no need for alarm, as people who have experienced near-death experiences frequently exhibit signs of disorientation. Time is one of them. However, there were times when you felt a strong sense of déjà vu. Simply interacting with Albedo, for example, causes you to feel as if you have previously spoken to Albedo. Especially with the way his eyes bore into your own, searching for something, something you're not sure of. But based on your assumptions, that's probably not possible.
It’s not possible. Right?
Whatever. In any case, you shouldn't be thinking these kinds of things in the first place; Albedo can be completely trusted. You trust him, the people of Mondstadt believe in him. So there's no particular reason why you shouldn't feel the same.
He knows best, doesn't he?
-
You've never thought of yourself as a genius or even an intelligent person by nature, but something in your stomach warns you that something is wrong. Completely wrong. You were simply attempting to assist Albedo with one of his experiments, and he requested that you retrieve an equipment from the storage area adjacent to his study room.
Albedo's study room. His own private santictionary that only Albedo had access to, though he was never barred from allowing people inside the room. In fact, you've been in the room several times, accompanied by Albedo for safety reasons, as he prefers.
Curiosity got the best of you as you quietly tiptoed into the room, peering at the seemingly endless bookshelves that covered three quarters of the room. A massive window stood at the back, displaying a scene of the beauty of dragonspine, the window soaking in the grey sky and snow that covered mountains and mountains. Nevertheless, even if the window seems to be the main attraction. Another item captured your attention. At the bottom shelf of Albedo's desk, something hidden there appeared to sparkle in the light that streamed through the window. Even though you knew it was wrong, morally wrong, you couldn't resist giving in to your own curiosity. You open the cabinet within Albedo's desk with trembling hands, the yellowish papers becoming more visible when fully exposed to the light..
They were rough sketches. At first glance, the general populace would most likely be enchanted by the quality and variety of the sketches. Except for you. No way, how could you be compelled to consider these drawings beautiful?
All of the sketches were established in your image. You were rendered speechless as you continued to dig through the pile of papers, pulling each sheet of paper and tossing it onto the floor. Each sketch was unique; some depicted you doing simple chores, others showed you strolling around the outside world of Dragonspine, and others were more simple, only showcasing you sleeping comfortably in your bed.
But it was the sketches of you lying in the snow that stood out the most.
There were three in total. Each sketch depicted you in the snow, but there were differences between them.
In the first sketch, your hair appeared to be much shorter than it is now, and you appeared to be a few years younger, though this is not visible to the average eye. You were sprawled out on your side, a black gown that was commonly worn by academics covering the majority of your frame and concealing the clothes underneath.
The length of your hair remained the same in the second sketch, but the clothes you wore were different. Instead of the black gown that covered the majority of your body, you wore a hooded white jacket that almost blended into the snow, and a pair of beige pants that appear to have frozen and solidified due to the cold. You were lying on your back, your hands on your chest, something odd within the picture.
The third image, which appears to be the most recent, shows you half-buried in snow. Despite the fact that the majority of your arms and feet are covered in snow, you can still see your outfit. It was a very loose-fitting white dress shirt and a torn black pencil skirt that exposed the majority of your calves. But this time, another sketch of an outstretched arm was shown in the paper. The image depicted a gloved hand, one that you're too familiar with, gently caressing the lower half your cheeks.
Something is wrong.
Your thoughts revert back to the blue pills, to the strange feelings that transpired whenever you were anywhere around the alchemist, to the possibility of never meeting Timaeus despite his role in saving your life.
“[First name].”
Albedo's voice was soft and steady, as if he was anticipating your arrival in his study. He was so calm that you had the impression he had known this was going to happen for months. You took your gaze away from the paper when you noticed Albedo standing between the doorframe. The light from the hallway radiated around his body, but cast an unsettling shadow on his face. You noticed how his hands moved slowly behind his back, closing and locking the door with a slight 'click.'
“Mind explaining to me what you’re searching for?”
What are you even searching for?
You gape at the blonde alchemist, unable to find the right words to say. What could you possibly say? Your mind was racing with questions, but you couldn't say anything because everything felt like a nightmare. A nightmare from which you desperately want to awaken from. Albedo, seemingly aware of your fear, attempted to take a step forward, prompting you to take a step back, increasing the distance between you and the synthetic being.
“S…Stay back!”
You yelp, pressing yourself against the bookshelves behind Albedo's desk, hoping to morph into the bookshelf and remain hidden from the outside world forever.
“Albedo….No..Is that even your real name?”
You ask, noticing the way Albedo's usual stoic expression morphing into a pained expression, as if he was perturbed by your inquiry.
“[First name].”
Albedo spoke after what seemed like an eternity, but was actually just ten seconds. His tone was impassive, his eyes were cold and foreboding, and his lips were pressed tightly into a thin line.
“You are an incarnation of the player or better words, the physical embodiment of the traveller within this world.”
What? You could never fully comprehend the meanings behind the alchemist's words, even after being around him for a while. You frequently dismissed it, believing that a mere mortal like you could never truly comprehend the words of a genius. But right now, more than anything, you wished you could understand him.
“I..I..I don't understand what you're trying to imply.”
“[First name], you are the third incarnation of the player. You are the physical embodiment of [First name] [Last name].”
He spoke again matter-of-factly, as if the words he spoke were simple common sense that even a toddler could grasp.
“The Teyvat you have grown to know and adored, is simply from a game that you played.”
A game? What game?
“You’re not making any sense, Albedo!”
Albedo's cold gaze never shifted at the sound of your voice, as if he'd been in a similar situation before and had to deal with this panicked version of you. At this point, you wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
“As strange as it may sound, the person that prevailed this piece of information to me was you. The first incarnation of you, at least. As you seemingly reborn each time, your memories of your past world decreases.”
He murmured again, taking another slow and calculated step towards you. His conniving eyes never leave your form, as if he was observing your next moves, calculating the best way to subdue you.
“The first and second incarnations passed…due to unfortunate circumstances. I will admit, it was purely my mistake and miscalculation for underestimating your understanding of the world. But you proved to be rather…intelligent, although you never made it far considering the condition of your physical state.”
Albedo was now only a few feet in front of you, slowly stalking his way around his desk. You could only helplessly stare at him as his gloved hand slowly gilded against the wooden desk as he made his way around the table. You were afraid, terribly afraid. I mean, what could a mere mortal do against an entity that wasn't even humane? How could someone like you escape the wraiths of elemental energy? Completely unscathed? Even so, the awful climate of Dragonspine was another obstacle and one that you were that you could never fully cross without the help from Albedo.
“But, do not worry. This time, I can assure you that you can safely progress within this world without encountering any fatal circumstances.”
Your eyelids suddenly became heavier, and an overwhelming sense of drowsiness overtook your senses. Stumbling over the pile of books on the floor, you struggle to keep your balance, opting to lean against the bookshelf to keep yourself from collapsing to the floor. The sound of Albedo's footsteps against the wooden floor resumes, his steps light and almost delicate, yet fast enough to wrap his gloved hands securely around your shoulder as you lose sensation in your legs.
His touch was gentle, reminding you of the times when he took care of you whenever you had those awful headaches. So soft and delicate, as if he were handling a precious ornamoment curved from stained glass, a treasure that must be deeply treasured or it could shatter at the slightest mistake. The smell of light solvents and white jasmine flowers eroded your senses, luring you to collapse into Albedo's arms. The world began to spin, your head felt terrible, you were nauseous, and your eyes struggled to even flutter open..
“Earlier….T…The potion,” you gasp, clutching the white fabric of Albedo's coat as he only smiled at your words. His face morphed into a sinister one; seeming rather sinister to you, considering your dire situation and the lack of normalcy.
“Sleep tight. When you’re awake, this would all be nothing but a passing dream.”
Albedo cooed, watching as your consciousness faded and your breathing became noticeably more steady than before. He never thought much of his origins, and was actually rather glad that he was created for the chance of having the ability to experience the world. Being seen as nothing more than a character in a game never bothered Albedo, though it did amuse him.
Despite knowing the true origin of the world, you never seem to be bothered by the fact that you were conversing with mere codes that were scripted to say certain sentences. You never bother to distinguish between codes and matter, instead anthropomorphizing the codes around you, seeing them as people rather than merre computer generated codes.
That feels comforting to Albedo in a way. Being a synthetic human in his own world, and even in yours, led many to dismiss him as a walking encyclopaedia, even though they never knew the true origin behind his creation. You, on the other hand, saw him as a person. An actual being capable of feeling emotions and being interested in various subjects. Before he knew it, an odd feeling of warmth blossomed within his chest. He didn't think it was possible at first, to feel such a way, but slowly but steadily. His feelings for you grew, and he began to recognize his own symptoms.
At first he chose to observe you, taking interest in the way you interacted with yourself and the world. Merely passing it as a hobby he's willing to indulge in for a few months, yet it never felt enough. Before he knew it, he tried to monopolize your every action and gain control on every aspect of your life. You, however, began to grow more curious about the world around you. Even begging him to let you leave Dragonspine, and travel to the base of Mondstadt. Of course, he declined which ultimately led to you escaping, only to fall to your death at the slightest slip. The second time he encountered you, the alchemist was still in the midst of his own little misery and was more than astonished to discover another entity that looked just like you.
He was sure he wouldn't make the same mistakes again. But he was proven wrong when your life ended in a quick flash, due to his own selfishness and miscalculations.
By the third time, he was sure it was a miracle. But he was determined, even if it meant inflicting pain on you. Even if it meant burning down half of Mondstadt for you, he would gladly pay the price even if it meant he could see you everyday.
He carefully tucked his arm beneath your legs, pulling you close to his chest and softly whispered,
“Rest assured, [First name]. Even if it meant destroying everything, even if it meant losing everything. I'll gladly do it for you.”
Pairing: Imposter Albedo x Reader??? KIND OF??Albedo x Reader???
Flavor: ???????????IMPOSTER ALBEDO COME TO PLAY
Warnings: One singular curse word, Impstalbedo gets choked i guess, yeah....
"I wonder if genetic modification is on the table.." You mumbled to yourself. Albedo had tasked you with dealing with Paimon's antics. You'd told her you'd find some way to preserve the fruit, but in the end, the best you could think of doing was making more of them.
You were alone today at Albedo's camp. He'd had some things to take care of at the Knights of Fevonious headquarters, and wouldn't be back until well into the night.
You always wonder how he's not tired of traveling up and down the mountain all the time. Sometimes making the trip multiple times in one day. You know he's synthetic, but even robots wear down and need new batteries eventually.
You hummed to yourself as you began to extract DNA from one of the Sunsiettas. You're sure Paimon could donate one to the cause. After all, she'll have more than she can eat if you succeed in your plan.
"The cloning of a fruit surely would be easier than something with a beating heart." A voice came from behind you. You were hardly startled, however. It was Albedo's.
"Welcome back, Chief Alchemist." You hummed. As straight-laced as he was, he was rather impromptu with his schedule, so it didn't come off as strange that he was back nearly half a day earlier than he'd said he'd be. He didn't respond.
What set off your alarms is that you often called him the chief as a joke, and he told you to just call him by his name. You straightened up and set your things down, turning to look at him. He was looking through some papers by his alchemy table.
"How was your trip to Monstadt...?" You asked slowly, approaching him slowly. You placed a hand on his shoulder and he flinched before turning toward you, pretending like nothing happened. You glanced down to his neck quickly, before smiling. No diamond.
"It was..." He began, pausing when your hand slid slowly down to his neck. "Peaceful."
"I'm glad you didn't get into any trouble. I missed you." You hummed, your hand slipping further down to his collar bone before you turned away. He stood there staring at you blankly as you went back to what you were doing.
"You look pretty tired, I think I'll cook tonight," You say, putting away your tools for now. "Could you bury this for me? I would like to see if the snow would preserve it or freeze it." You say, picking up your bag. "I was given a recipe as a thank you by a lost traveler today after I'd given them directions back down the mountain... I think you'll like it."
"Oh?" He said, giving a slight smile as you pulled out the recipe.
"Pork hotpot!" You announced, looking to see his reaction. "It's full of meat- I know you love meat- and it'll keep us warm."
He furrows his brows and gives you another smile.
"I believe you mean it will keep you warm. I don't often find myself in a state of discomfort caused from the temperature." He said, crossing his arms with a smug look on his face.
"Whatever, It'll still be good." You huffed. "Where did you put the chilled meat?"
"I'm sure its with the rest of the, ah... ingredients." He said, dismissively as he went back to looking through papers. You looked over your shoulder as your searched for some.
"...Okay..."
You want to be cautious, but doing so could key him into the fact that you know he's not the real Albedo.
You got to cooking while he did some little things. Looking through papers, searching the desk, staring into the vials of your experimental DNA. It was quite endearing, but you had to remind yourself that he is not innocent.
Eventually, he stopped looking around and sat down across the fire from you. But he just stared at you. Hunched forward, elbows on his knees, staring.
You're rather uncomfortable, so you try not to meet his eyes that often.
"What?" You ask after a while.
"The face you make while working is not an estaranged one. It's unusual. You seem like you're somewhere else." He said, quietly.
"Hm. I can't help but daydream, I suppose. It's rather quiet when I'm with you, you know." You said, taking the ingrediets you'd picked out for the hot pot and putting it into the pot long enough for it to cook.
"Your turn," You hummed as you scooped what you wanted out of the boiling liquid and beginning to eat. He mimicked your actions, pulling out of the pot what looked interesting and piling it onto his plate.
He then began to eat like he was a starving man. Basically inhaling the food. He didn't choke, however. Lucky him. Not that you would do anything if he were to start choking.
You set your things down, that gave you an idea. You stood up, and he followed you with his eyes as you went to sit down next to him.
"Albedo" You said, quietly. He set his plate down and placed his hands into his lap to give you his full attention.
"Yes, Y/N?" He asked, furrowing his brows as he tried to decipher your expression. You were sure of it at this point, he was far too expressive to be the Albedo you know.
"I was just wondering..." You took on a rather sheepish tone. It was fake, but you figured he wouldn't know any better.
You lifted your hand and he followed as you brought it up to rest on his cheek, before it slid down to his neck. He grew slightly rigid.
"Yes...?" He asked, matching your quiet tone.
You pressed your thumb to the spot on his neck where the diamond should be, leaning your face closer to his.
"Who the fuck are you?" You whispered, pushing him off of his seat and into the snow behind. You stayed above him, holding him down, hand around his neck. "Hm?"
You were pushed off quickly and snow was thrown into your face, blinding you just long enough for him to slip out of your sight. You heard footsteps retreating quickly away.
You sat there in the snow, silently, listening for any noise.
"Well, thata was quite a show," A voice said. You snapped your head to look in the direction of it. A hooded figure emerged from the bushes. They came into the firelight and took off their hood, revealing their identity.
It was Albedo. Or so you thought. You looked at his neck and sighed in relief.
"Jeez, you scared me." You muttered, laying flat on your back in the snow.
"I made hotpot." You mumbled.
"I know," He said, walking over to the fire and glancing into the pot.
"Even if you were using it to further strengthen your hypothesis that it wasn't really me, you didn't have to put so much meat in it." He mumbled, putting some of the food on his plate.
"Sorry," You said as he sat next to you on the snow. "Stella Polaris is above us tonight- Ursa Minor."
You fixed yourself into a relaxed position as he looked up at the sky with you.
"I believe its above us every night, Y/N." He said, before beginning to eat his food.
You grumbled something about him ruining your fun.
"I believe you should take a more direct approach next time you suspect that I am not who I appear to be. Don't wait to assault a possible threat." He said after a few minutes of silence.
"What if it turns out to be you?" You ask, turning your eyes away from the stars to look at him.
He turns his head away,
"I don't think I would mind too much."
Kaeya x reader where Kaeya is getting married to someone else without the reader being aware. Expand it and let it flow however you'd like
Alrighty then! Have fun getting hurt anon, gender neutral reader! Also Albedos here lol, you'll see
You were one of the regulars at the bar that Kaeya enjoyed going to. He even had some intimate moments with you, sometimes even leading into the bedroom. There were times in the bedroom when he seemed out of it somehow, but when you asked he would always brush it off with a flirtatious comment.
You started catching feelings for him, truth be told.
You usually worked with Albedo during the day, and one day he catches you glancing at Kaeya. Usually, Albedo would tease you whenever you gazed at someone, but with Kaeya he was debating on telling you the truth or letting you fall out of your admiration of Kaeya.
Kaeya had one more night with you, but he didn't flirt quite as hard. Before you could start to reassure him you were fine with doing whatever, he simply kissed you on the back of your hand before leaving.
In that moment, you realised you had started to truly fall for him. These feelings only got worse when he wasn't around. Looking at your glass, you start to think of how you could confess your feelings.
--
There's a wedding on today, and yourself and Albedo are working alone. You see the moment to ask him about how you should admit your feelings. Seeing Albedo shake his head, you furrow your brows in confusion.
"I have to tell you something." Albedo stops you. "Kaeya has been cheating on his lover with you."
You look at Albedo with a blank look, expecting for this to be a joke. Albedo stops you from going against his word, and he gestures for you to follow him.
Stopping at the cathedral, you hide behind Albedo as he quietly opens the door, realising that the couple were getting to the end of their vows.
There was Kaeya. The groom.
Albedo closes the door, ushering you away so you couldnt alert people of your presence.
"I'm sorry." Albedo states after returning to the alchemy table.
You shake your head, letting a tear fall.
"Don't be." You reassure him. "It explains a lot, actually." You laugh half heartedly. "I'd normally go for a drink after a shift, but now I wouldn't be able to go without crying."
Albedo smirks to himself.
"Not if I'm there instead."
--
A few weeks pass, and Albedo comes along with you to the bar every time you decide to do so. Kaeya approaches, sitting next to you as he gives his usual flirty smile.
"Hello, Kaeya." Albedo starts. "What brings you to the bar tonight?"
Kaeya glances at Albedo, silently telling him he wasn't there for Albedo. Kaeya begins to extend a hand towards you, but Albedo stops him.
"How's your spouse?" Albedo asks.
Kaeya freezes.
"let's go." You turn to Albedo. "I think I've had enough."
Albedo places a hand on your back, leading you to the door. Before he opens the door, he gives a threatening look to Kaeya.
