did emmrich's first personal quest yesterday 🖤 can't wait to romance him

my rook and inquisitor in datv! haven't gotten very far in the story yet but i'm so excited to see how my rook's story plays out, and to see my inquisitor again. and for those curious my imported choices are 1. redeem solas, 2. romanced dorian, 3. disbanded the inquisition.

ps: i'll be tagging all my veilguard posts with "mulberry the rook" so if you don't want to see anything datv-related, you can mute that tag! i doubt i'll be posting about story spoilers (or at least major ones) but if i do i'll tag them with "veilguard spoilers"

alastor "rook" ingellvar: personal canon

basic information: mournwatcher rogue elf, romanced emmrich, trans man (he/him), bisexual, 38 y/o (more below tag)

loves coffee!! it's a bit expensive in the necropolis, but it's a necessity to him.

however after being around emmrich for so long, alastor's taken a liking to tea as well. specifically black breakfast teas. he just really loves caffeine.

always sleepy. loves taking naps. will spend all day lounging in bed sometimes.

loves to cuddle in his sleep. he attaches to emmrich like a koala when they share a bed.

has researched elven culture & history from a young age. originally stemmed from the fact that alastor wasn't raised by elves and wanted to learn about their own culture, and became a life-long interest.

loves blades and daggers! alastor has a personal collection and takes care of them well.

after veilguard, he moves back to the necropolis with emmrich. this time they share a dormitory together.

his job in the necropolis was to guard precious crypts and tombs that are targets for robbers, and was typically on the late shift. they offered him a higher desk job but he insisted on keeping his old position - alastor's only request was that he'd get the earlier shift.

emmrich and alastor take vacations every six months, and regularly visit treviso and minrathous. it's easy considering they still have access to the eluvians.

emmrich taught him how to bake, and now they bake something every week - whether it be bread, cake, or cookies.

still keeps in touch with the other veilguardians, as well as the inquisitor and dorian.

just finished veilguard! this game was an emotional rollercoaster, and had several difficult decisions. but i did really enjoy it, and will probably do some more playthroughs in the future. i have so many other thoughts and feelings but i'll probably ramble about those later on! ❤️

all companion's quests are completed, excellent rapport with all factions, and level 10 bond with romanced emmrich. guess i'm ready for act three??? fuck

i've been finishing up the companion's main questlines today. bellara's quest made me teary, and it was nice to see neve become a source of hope for dock town.

in other news, i gained solas' respect and he even talked about his friendships in the inquisition with me :') also i made dorian the next archon !!

guess who locked into emmrich's romance 🖤 i'm so glad i chose him, it's such a lovely romance so far
