@adventures-written // continued from (x)
The lanky creature had sort of... entered without any warning or ceremony, pushing the door open as quietly as possible so as not to startle anyone and walking on feather-light feet, despite the clunky appearance of his boots. Really, he couldn't blame anyone for jumping to the worst case, thinking he was some sort of intruder.
Not that he'd expected a small army of egg-men to come at him for it, but, still. His bad. Vash laughed lightly, lifting his hands.
"Just... curiosity, I guess~." he said simply, offering the other be-antlered demon a smile-- somewhat nervous, but genuine enough.
"You, uh... you hear a lot about this place wandering like they way I do, so I wanted to check it out for myself. Are you the owner?"

"Right, the extermination... you guys really did a great job with all of what happened. Kept a lot of people safe. And you wouldn't even know anything happened here..."
He'd chew on that introduction a little as he followed after his gracious host. The Radio Demon... that title is familiar, though he'd have to sift through some memories to really remember why. While he hadn't been up and about himself for a while, now, the familiarity was likely from some shared knowledge between him and his... er, family members.
"A-anyway, sounds like there's a lot more to do than I thought." he said, brows curving up in genuine surprise, looking around with wide, curious eyes. "I just thought it was... well, like a hotel, you know? Bar, bedrooms... but group activities sound like fun. Do a lot of folks join in?"
"Alastor," he responded, "Perhaps you know me better as the Radio Demon?" He was quite honestly surprised this one did not recognize him. Unless he was truly new to Hell, which certainly could be interesting if that were the case. He would try not to be annoyed that he didn't know him.
"Well, might I show you around?" he offered, "We've had to make several changes after the most recent extermination attempt -- or failure, really, hahah!" He gripped his cane a bit tighter at even the mere thought of what had occurred between him and Adam. He would be sure that wouldn't be happening again.
Turning, he started to lead Vash further into the hotel. "This is the lobby, and there is also a bar to enjoy. Husker, though a tad on the angry side, is quite good at his job. Charlie does enjoy doing group activities down here, if that is something you wish to partake in."

Yeah. Charming as this guy seemed, he had a feeling the 'faith' thing was probably more zeroed in on Miss Morningstar--
Unfortunately that... wasn't hard to believe, even after the latest Heaven skirmish. Surviving yet another extermination seemed to just... encourage the sinners to sin more, almost in celebration or victory. Why stop sinning now when we could die next time? When they could double down and just kill everyone?
Maybe because it didn't need to be about survival? Maybe getting as many redeemed sinners out as possible was a better goal than spending borrowed time on vices? Maybe all the love the princess was pouring into her people and this dream didn't need to be wasted by--
"Oh, y-yeah, sorry-- Vash." he said, blinking himself back into the present. "V-A-S-H. It gets misspelled pretty often. Is there something I could call you, instead of just 'Mister Hotel Manager', or...?"
He couldn't help the low chuckle that came from him. The idea that he had faith in redemption was a good joke. He would support Charlie -- only until he got what he wanted out of this whole endeuver.
"Charlie certainly does," he stated, "She is quite the charismatic person. She believes that it can happen -- though, it has been difficult to garner attention of the right kind." Not many sinners wanted to be redeemed, or believed in Charlie's dream.
But a newcomer would certainly bolster her dampened spirits after Heaven's little meeting. "If you're here for redemption then I can get you checked in Mr....?" he paused, awaiting a name from this interesting guest.

Charlie Morningstar... that much must've been true, then, the whole 'Lucifer's daughter wants to get people into Heaven' bit that folks were... well, usually making fun of when he overheard talks about the hotel. But that name made something in his chest thrum with purpose, excitement-- recognizing the feeling as the same one he'd experienced when he'd first... 'awakened' properly. He needed to be here, so, Vash nodded.
"Definitely something like that..." he asked, reaching up to rub the back of his neck. "It's admirable, to say the least, that someone wants to even try and redeem the sinners here. You guys must have a lot of faith in people, huh?"
Or, at least one of them did--
He is eyeing him closely, assessing this person for who he was. He was no demon spawn that he knew of. He didn't recognize him as having any connections to the Vees or the other Overlords of Hell. So then, was he just some simple sinner wandering into the hotel?
Alastor's smile held true, not giving away any of these internal thoughts as he leaned against his cane. "Owner?" he chuckled, "Heaven's no. I'm the manager and sponsor of this wonderful establishment. If you are looking for the awe inspiring leader of this wonderful hotel, that would be Charlie Morningstar."
He gripped his cane a bit tighter, not ready to call upon the Princess quite yet. "Are you here to check in? This is a place for sinners to redeem themselves. I trust your intentions are something of the like?"
