I sew in lusii leather to fix the rough edges, and I brought out the skin tannins through chemical conditioners and some heavy toxic dyes I traded for. The red tone hides the difference in colour between the natural white and grey tones, and dark red is good for sport-hunting at night if you run into some colour-blind idiot.

After that, it was just a matter of if a quadrant of mine ended up dyin', by their own stupidity or somethin' else. I'd pelt them, preserve them, and add what I could. It got longer, it got sleeves, until I felt satisfied with it, and I was done bothering to fall for any more of those fucking sentiments.

Sometimes the hunters of the Safari are likely to steal the clothes of slaves if they like them enough. Other times they hang onto clothes for their sheer hilarity, which end up getting worn after the result of haphazardly drunken bets.

While The Hidelord is an exceptional hunter in his own right, it seems even he isn't immune to some bad decisions. Parting with his great coat for any period of time is the bigger shame than anything, though. Then again, despite ruining the shirt forever he's slaying for the time being, so...
