Set in 2005 during the time when the Miso Middle Five are forced to fight in Kiyomasa’s fight club.

“H-Hinata-chan! wait!” Hinata Tachibana has been your best friend since primary school. You were shy and so it was difficult to make friends, but she just waltzed up to you and declared that you two were friends.

From that day forward she told you everything and you the same, which just so happened to lead to this one horrible moment.

“Hinata-chan please leave it! I’ll just stay lonely forever” you said in a somewhat hushed voice as you tried yet failed to pull her back.

“Oh, come on y/n, Takemichy-kun is friends with him so I’ll just go ask him” Hinata said, a smile plastered on her face as she marched her way over to the Mizo Middle Five.

y/n have a little squeak seeing that they were just a few feet away. She quickly let go of Hinata and went to hide close by, scared of what Hinata was gonna ask and Embarrassed by his answer.

“Hello!” Hinata jumped in front of them, causing Takemichy to burst out all happy and flustered stumbling over his words.

“Sorry Takemichi-kun but I’m not here for you right now” Hinata said holding a hand up towards him, crushing his soul. “I’m here on strict girl business” Takemichi’s friends laughed at him.

“You” the boys stopped laughing as Hinata pointed to their leader. “You’re Sendo Atsushi right?”

“Uh yeah?” Akkun, as everyone called him, looked at her confused.

Hinata stared at him for a bit, “what’s your dream girl?” the boys stopped, and y/n visibly cringed peeking to look at the boys from where she was hiding.

“What! Hina Noooo!”Takemichi cried, “please don’t leave meee!”

Hinata giggled at him, “it’s ok silly, I told you I’m here on strict girl business remember?” Takemichi whipped his tears. “Now you!” She looked back at Akkun waiting for an answer.

“Uhm, well I guess I really like a girl with long hair and a nice personality” Hinata nodded listening.

“oh and don’t forget big boobs” Makoto said making weird gestures.

“you perverts!” Hinata yelled before Slapping Akkun hard.

“Man, why did I get slapped?” He said rubbing his cheek as he stared and watched as Hinata walked away grabbing someone who was hiding behind a wall.

“Haha” The group laughed, “You got a feisty one there Takemitchy” Said man grumbled saying not to say that.

“c’mon y/n” Hinata grabbed the girl dragging her away, “hmph! all those boys, except for Takemitchy, are all perverts!”

“h-huh! but no, Sendo isn’t like that” she said. “but what did he say?” y/n asked curiously.

Hinata stayed quiet for a moment, before sighing and telling her what he said. “I don’t know what you see in them”

“I only like Akkun, the others kinda scare me and make me nervous. Actually they all make me nervous” y/n gave a little chuckle.

‘so he likes long hair?’ y/n thought to herself, her hands absentmindedly going to her hair running her fingers through it.

“Ah, guess we better get going to class now” y/n said quietly as Hinata nodded her head.

“I’ll see you after class! bye bye!” the two skied before parting ways.

“Now that I’m thinking about it, is there anyone you guys got the hots for? I know I’d totally hit that girl in math, uhh what’s her name?” Yamagishi said as the rest of them laughed.

“You’re totally not a ladies man, can’t even remember a girls name?” Akkun said shaking his head.

“Yeah well what about you huh? it was Tachibana who asked you the question” the others agreed with him.

“I dunno. Never really thought about it” He said leaning back in his chair.

“well if you had to pick one?” Makoto said, joining Yamagishi in his questioning towards Akkun.

“why’s it so important huh?” he said, “But, I guess if I had to pick one, it’d be y/n”.

“Hmmm, y/n- oh! she’s the one in history with the big boobs right?” (sorry if you don’t) Yamagishi said earning a slap over the back of his head.

“Don’t say it like that man!” Akkun looked at him sternly as Yamagishi rubbed the back of his head.

“right, my bad” he said sheepishly.

A silence fell over the group, “also I’ll be the one fighting today” the boys stayed silent looking down slightly.

“heh, you guys doubting my skills” Akkun said trying to lighten their spirits.

“yeah right! you’re totally gonna win today” one of them said

“that’s why you’re our leader”

It was now late in the night and cram school had finally ended. y/n was walking down the long road, hoping to be in the comforts of her home soon.

“Damn, that son of bitch really did a number on me” y/n stopped in her tracks hearing an all to familiar voice. She came to the top of a said of stairs leading down towards the voice.

“Sendo?” She said quietly, seeing his plum hair.

“oh, L/N hey” He said turning to look at her with a smile on his face. His face that was bloodied and bruised.

“Ah! oh my! are you ok” she quickly hurried down the stairs, to come face to face with him. Her shyness going away for a second as she grabbed his face checking over him.

“what happened?” she asked worriedly as he stared at her with wide eyes. She paused before taking her hands back, “I’m sorry i didn’t mean to!” she quickly bowed as he gave a light hearted laugh.

“it’s fine, and I’m ok.” he said flashing her a smile.

“But you’re covered in blood and your face is all bruised” she looked at him sadly.

‘Hm, I want to help but I don’t know how. what would Hinata do’ y/n thought to herself.

“Hmph!” Akkun looked at her confused, before he felt a harsh tug on his wrist.

y/n feeling a burst of confidence had grabbed his hand and began dragging the boy away.

“ah? I’m ok really L/N” he said sheepishly.

“well- e-even if you are, I’m still going to help you” she said. “My house isnt to far from here so I’ll take you there and wash that blood off you”

“thanks” He smiled at her, “oh Also you don’t have to call me Sendo” she turned back to him confused.“earlier you called me Sendo”

“oh. well ok, then you can call me y/n to make it fair” she said turning away from him her face flushed red as she continued to tug him along.

Akkun smiled looking up to the sky as he shoved his other hand into his pocket.

“I really like you” y/n paused.

“h-huh?!” y/n let go of his hand turning to look at him. “y-you like me?!”

“hah sorry-” “-why?” the two stared at each other.

“what do you mean why-” “-why are you sorry” the two stopped and laughed.

“Of course I like you” Akkun turned away and scratched the back of his neck, “you’re really sweet and kind” Akkun smiled at her. “sorry guess it’s kind of out of the blue”

y/n once again grabbed his hand and began dragging him back in their path. “I-I like you to!” y/n said not daring to look at him as she felt her shyness come back making her all nervous.

Akkun stared at her wide eyed, “so if I like you and you like me, does that mean you maybe wanna be my girlfriend?” he asked making y/n’s face flushed red as a darker shade of red.

She nodded unable to speak. Akkun chuckled “sweet”

Takemichi’s birthday arrives and Takara is forced to attend. She wants to because Takemichi is turning 15 but the thought of being around her parents does not appeal to her. Not when most of her time is spent at work, school or with the Kanto Manji Gang. Thankfully, it’s a gathering with only her parents, her brother, one of his middle school friends, Hinata and some of their parents’ friends. Takara doesn’t feel bad when she brings two extra guests. Mikey and Draken make the choice to join her, regardless of the danger or the way it complicates their plan to distance themselves from their friends.

Takara walks in with Mikey’s arm around her waist and Draken walking behind them. Her parents race to her quickly.

“Takara!” her mother looks at the boys with her in alarm, especially at the tattoo on Draken’s head. “What are you doing?” she hisses.

If she had known this would get their attention, she would have done this ages ago. Just for the reaction. “I’m here to celebrate Take,” Takara says lightly. “It’s his birthday after all. We brought gifts!” she holds up the present they brought.

“Takara, who���who are your friends?”

The boys step forward, bowing as they greet her parents. She watches as their hesitation eases at their manners, but it only actually disappears when Takemichi catches sight of them and comes running forward in excitement.

Takara lets her friends be swept up by her brother and she puts down the gift on the table that holds others.

“You should have said you were inviting someone,” her mother says.

“I did,” Takara reminds her. “When you told me I needed to be here. Besides, I thought you’d might want to meet my boyfriend.”

“Boyfriend?” Her mother looks curious, but it fades just as quickly. The woman leaves without another word.

Takara watches as her parents spend the night praising Takemichi. For doing well in school, which was a miracle, for having a steady girlfriend in Hinata, which was another miracle in Takara’s mind, and for having good friends. They express their gratefulness for having a child like him. Takara leans against the wall, her throat tightening, as she watches her parents act like they only have one child. She should be used to it. She knows that. But it still hurts.

“What the fuck is this shit?” Draken asks as he steps next to her. He offers her a cup which she takes and smiles in thanks.

“What?” she asks as she takes a sip.

“I like Takemitchy as much as the next person, but this is bullshit. I’ve heard maybe five words about you. Takara, you’re way more successful than your brother is. Where the fuck’s your party?”

“I’ve never had one. Not like this,” she says softly. “I told you they barely acknowledge me.”

“Yeah, but we didn’t realize it’s this bad. Mikey’s pissed.”

Takara looks for him. He’s roped into some conversation with Takemichi, Hinata and Akkun, but she knows him well enough now to see the tension in his frame and the way his eyes seem to narrow slightly at any of the adults around.

He looks up, catching her eye and stands, moving towards her and Draken without a word. “We’re leaving.”

Takara looks at him in surprise. “We are? We haven’t even had dessert yet.”

“I’ll buy you dessert,” he tells her, grabbing her hand and lacing their fingers together. “Let’s go.”

“Let me say goodbye!” She says, laughing slightly. She pulls him back to Takemichi where she hugs him and Hinata, promising to call before Mikey drags her out and Draken follows. She doesn’t say goodbye to her parents. She doubts they even notice.

Mikey holds her close, arm wrapped around her waist when they finally stop at some dessert cafe. Draken sits across from them, Mikey keeping to the outside of the booth. It’s enough to hide the way his hand slips under her shirt, tracing patterns against her skin. She leans a little closer against him, trying to relax from the way she can feel the anxiety of disappointing her parents thrums under her skin. It’s stupid, but she’s so used to following what the adults demand from her, trying to get on the same level as her brothers. Brothers that don’t even exist anymore. She feels like laying her head down on the table. What is she even doing anymore?

“You okay?” Draken asks, looking at her.

“Yeah,” she says softly. “I just…” she leans to rest her head on Mikey’s shoulder. “I’m used to it but it still just…hurts.” Mikey’s grip tightens and she feels him press his lips to her hair. She almost wishes they weren’t here, that she could buried in the blankets in Mikey’s bed.

Draken orders for them when the waitress comes by, saving Takara from needing to interact with anyone but them. Mikey doesn’t say anything but his presence is steady as he holds her. She already knows she’s not going home tonight. She’s not going to go back there and listen to them say she ruined their boy’s party…if they say anything at all.

The dessert that’s set down in front of her is a simple chocolate mousse with fruit. It’s light and pretty much perfect. Takara smiles softly at Draken. “Thank you.”

“I know you don’t like anything heavy for dessert, but the chocolate will help you feel better.”

Mikey picks up his spoon and takes a bite…of her dessert. She jolts up, looking at him in betrayal. “Hey!” She snaps, pulling her dessert away. “You have your own!”

“But yours tastes better,” he says, reaching for another bite.

Takara jabs her fingers into his ribs, hoping to dissuade him, but Mikey persists. She ends up pulling her dessert close, eating quickly while she tries to keep him back with her foot, pushing to shove him out of the booth.

Draken sighs from across them, as Mikey continues to aim for her food while Takara tries to eat it first. He eats his parfait slowly, enjoying the fact that he actually gets the chance to eat it instead of needing to fend off Mikey himself. Takara screeches in horror when Mikey steals the last bite and lunges across him for his dessert.

Draken makes sure to leave a large tip to make up for the two of them.

When they’re alone, when the door is locked to Mikey’s room and they’re surrounded by the smell of sweat and old motor oil, he lays her down on his bed.

“Mikey…”

“Shh,” he murmurs. He undresses her slowly, taking his time to kiss the exposed skin. “That really made me angry,” he says against her stomach. “They ignored you. They treat you like you’re nothing.”

Hearing it said plain hurts and Takara shifts, wanting to turn away. “Mikey, please..”

“No.” He moves between her legs, lifting one over his shoulder. He looks at her. “You’re mine, Takara. You’re worth more than any of them.”

The praise make her stomach flip and her breath catch because he’s looking at her completely serious, as if he can’t imagine she’s anything less.

“Mine,” he says again. He licks between her thighs and Takara’s left clutching the sheets and trying to remember how to breathe as Mikey lays worship to her. He takes his time, breaking her over and over, until she’s begging him to stop. “Fucking idiots,” he murmurs as he presses into her. “You’re so fucking good for me. Too good for them.”

“Mikey, please…”

He grips her tightly, turning them both so she’s straddling him. “You’re the only one worth a damn,” he says. He smacks her ass, making her yelp. “Move, Kara-chan. Show me I’m right.”

She nods, rocking her hips against him. Mikey holds her hips but lets her choose the pace. It’s the trust he has in her, the way he’s giving her the control that burns into her. His fingers dig into her skin but that’s all he does outside of telling her she’s doing good and when he’s close.

“Thank you,” she murmurs when they finally lay next to each other, exhausted and spent.

He curls an arm around her, nuzzling into her hair. He doesn’t say anything but he holds her tightly and Takara feels secure as she falls asleep. She feels cared for.

i saw a tiktok by starsmao about how some of the TR boys wouldn’t believe you when you call them pretty and would lose their shit and i would like to continue this and make it into headcanons of how they would react:))

Characters: Takemitchy, Chifuyu, Angry, Yamagishi, Akkun, Mikey

Takemitchy

-okay look like all of them he’d be like haha is that a joke?good one

-but i think once he starts noticing that you’re serious he’s gonna start getting insecure and talk about other people (in like a comparison type of way)

-needs a lot of reassurance that you’re absolutely dead serious and that he’s perfect the way he is (maybe not when his hair is styled up /j)

Chifuyu

-mans really laughed in your face “i’m clearly not, why else would i be single”

-he’s probably just too dense to notice everyone around him talking about how cute, good looking he is(he’s the type of friend that gives everyone relationship advice and doesn’t understand when someone tells him “i like you”)

note. i didn’t want to include takemichi at first because i can’t see him with anyone else other than hina (maybe i did portray her in this one lol) and wow, i didn’t know it was very hard to write headcanons. also, i didn’t age them up because akkun and takuya have limited information about their future selves in the manga. i hope i did okay!

HANAGAKI TAKEMICHI

This boy radiates big dumbass energy. No offense intended.

It’s just he is never sure what to expect from you because this boy respects everyone’s boundaries.

All he knows is that you chose him as your partner and as long as he can make you smile and not cry is enough for him.

Even though he does stupid things with his friends, he’ll be proper when it comes to you.

That’s because he doesn’t want you to think lowly of him so he tries very hard to impress you by doing manly things when you’re alone together.

Things like carrying your grocery bags while walking home even though it’s too heavy for him, or giving you his completed puzzle that he felt really accomplished with because you’re that special to him.

If you happen to see him beaten up, don’t add salt to the wound by scolding him some more. He already knows that being a delinquent is bad enough and he doesn’t need you to remind him again.

Expect him to be ashamed once he sees your face though.

Between the two of you, he will be the one who’s the most apprehensive on things. You just tend to take his edge off of it.

If something upsets you, he will panic first before rummaging his mind for an idea on how to instantly cheer you up. Whether it would be a joke or your favorite snack, he’ll gladly give it to you – because he wants you to feel like yourself again.

But if he is the reason you’re upset, he will castigate himself for making you feel like that and will consistently apologize and swear to you that he will not do it again.

Dates with Takemichi are really simple. You mostly hang out all day, walking around the city and getting to know each other better.

Do not expect him to take you to the amusement park. Like I said, he’s an anxious guy but he will face his fears if you insist on going.

Though I see him getting more brazen once he sees how you acted towards him at the end of the day. He’s a curious teenage boy after all and being friends with Makoto and Yamagishi brings that out sometimes.

But best believe he will not force you to do anything that you don’t want to do. Consent is key.

Overall, Takemichi is a really sweet guy. A bit naive at times but it’s all part of his charm.

SENDOU “AKKUN” ATSUSHI

As he is the leader of the Mizo Middle Five, he’s the most reliable person in their little gang.

Reliable in a way that he will take it upon himself the consequences his friends have caused.

So expect him to be always complaining to you about their stupidity – which is all in good faith.

Even though he whines to you about his friends, he’s glad that you’re also in good relations with them.

Because if you’re not, then that would be a problem since he is really devoted to his friends. You know, gang leader things.

So no, do not make him choose between you or them. He won’t like it.

As I said, he is a loyal person so have faith that he won’t cheat on you because he also expects the same thing from you – mutual respect and such.

If he doesn’t have the time to meet up with you, he’ll let you know beforehand and will make it up to you once he’s available.

But if he’s roughed up from a gang fight, he will not let you know. He won’t even show himself for a few days so that you won’t worry about him. But you always knew.

I just know that he’s an attentive person. Remember when he told Takemichi that he was waiting for him all that time? Yeah.

That being so, he is the best person to go to when something is troubling you. 

He’ll be by your side, lending an ear and once you get it off of your chest, he’ll hold your hand as a silent note that you can always depend on him anytime.

He will lift your spirit up by recalling a prank that the guys did and how it ended up being a failure. He will then imply that as an advice for your current situation. I’d like to think he’s mature and perceptive for his age like that.

He’s the type of boyfriend who would be subtle at first but is really affectionate once you get comfortable with each other. 

I’m talking about gentle back rubs, soft hugs and forehead kisses.

Basically, he’s a romantic. He will bring you to new places just so he can say, “It’s our first trip in this place. That makes it special, isn’t it?”

YAMAMOTO TAKUYA

Being the childhood friend of Takemichi, he’s also unsure when it comes to having a romantic relationship.

He mostly asks his friends for advice but always turns it down due to Makoto and Yamagishi's weird ideas.

Akkun might give him good pointers but that’s about it, he still doesn’t know how to carry it out alone – especially when he’s alone with you.

It’s a good thing you’re more assertive than him because he’ll feel really relieved if you gently tell him what you want or what you need. This also makes him fall harder for you for being straightforward.

Though he’s a little hesitant to initiate physical contact, once he sees you not withdrawing he will go for it with a fiery blush on his cheeks.

He’s also tripping over his words when he compliments you but once he gets used to it, he’ll be really smooth with it.

He prefers spending time with you indoors, as he easily gets tired from all the amusing activities he and his friends do.

But if you want to hang out at the mall or arcade, he will gladly accompany you – but without accidentally telling his friends you’re going to the arcade that they all demand to be invited too.

By now, you’re like the sixth member of the Mizo Middle Five.

If you see him injured due to a fist fight, he’ll shy away from your eyes already thinking he is the weakest among his friends.

He usually picks at himself when he’s alone and that’s why whenever you surprise him by giving him the encouragement he needs, he already knows you’re the one.

Saying that, he has this habit of daydreaming about your future together – like how he would propose marriage to you, how would your wedding go or how many pets will you both have.

But he is constantly afraid that you might get swept up by someone who’s more self-assured than him.

And if there comes a time that you’ll be the one who needs picking up, just know that he will know what to say and that he genuinely understands what you feel.

All in all, Takuya is a lovely boyfriend that you can sincerely open your heart with.

Things were set in stone for the day that was fast approaching. Atsushi proposed a few years after you two started dating. You ended up staying at home to further the bond with your brother - who was gaining over your marriage

“Imagine when I actually get married.”

“Shut up, your goblin looking ass is getting married, let me be” he protests

His eyes light up a second after, grabbing your hand and brining it up to his face to look at your engagement ring.

“Oh wow. It looks expansive….” He looks up at you. This was his hundredth time looking at the ring and still couldn’t get over the shine the diamond gave off under the light.

“Expensive but I’m jealous of the way you proposed to Hinata. Better than how I proposed to (Y/n). I literally tripped while I knelt down” Atsushi makes it over to the door to put his shoes on.

“Wanna come pick up the invitations with us ? You can be the first one to get one” you give your brother a cheeky smile before dragging him out the door and down the stairs of the apartment building.

Looking over the cards you smile seeing the detailed work and words in the invitation. Only a month was left to get married to the love of your life.

You flashback to the time when Mitchi woke up after you knocked him out. You remember him telling you about his little adventure in the future. How you died and he’d do whatever it was to keep you safe.

You were grateful for him. Even after he got caught up with so much shit as teenagers, he did whatever he could to try and save everyone from their fate. He couldn’t save some - he didn’t feel successful but those he saved were still here spending time with him.

“Thank you” you hug your brother suppressing the tears. When he first told you about his time jumping abilities, you didn’t believe him. As things started to happen as he had said, you came to believe and even tried to help him in the little he would let you with Toman.

“Sorry for not believing you for a minute. I see why you took all those beatings for. Got your ass beat by so many people. You’re literally my best friend, fuck face” you add in an insult to not seem too cheesy.

“Thank you for coming back and keeping her safe, Mitchi. If it weren’t for you - I don’t know where you and I would be right now, if she wasn’t here” Atsushi joins the hug

“G-guys stop. We should be fine now. You two get married, I’ll get married….not sure when but we’ll all be happy” your brother tried to cheer up the mood.

“Let’s start handing these out. Let’s go to Chifuyu then Mitsuya’s” he changed up the conversation with a wobbly smile, trying to not cry again that day.

"Draken!" You exclaimed, running into his hospital room.

Draken had gotten stabbed by Kiyomasa last night, luckily Takemichi and his friends fought to get your boyfriend to an ambulance. Your heart dropped when Akkun called to tell you what had happened. Draken was admitted to the hospital and, thankfully, would make a full recovery.

It was now the morning after the big fight. You waited outside of Draken's hospital room for the doctor to check up on him and see if he's stable to have visitors. Your heart nearly jumped out of your chest when you were allowed in.

Which is where we're at now.

You came to a halt at the side of the bed, your boyfriend smirking up at you, his arm slung over his bandaged torso.

"Hey honey." He spoke softly. His words made the tears you've been trying to hide flow freely.

"You scared me, Ken." You sobbed.

The blonde's smirk faded as he reached to grab your hand. His hand felt so comforting and warm.

"I'm okay, baby. I'm not going down that easily."

You nodded, using your free hand to wipe away the stray tears. Gently, you bent down to lean your head onto his shoulder, nuzzling into his neck.

"You smell like hospital." You joked, causing Draken to let out a small chuckle.

"Yeah, I know. I'll be back to smelling like my normal self soon though," he paused to let you move your head up, placing a kiss on your lips in the process, "Y'know you can lay on here with me. I'll move over for ya."

Shaking your head, you responded, "Don't hurt yourself more for my comfort."

A knock sounded from the door. You spun around to see a bandaged Takemichi standing in the doorway.

"Sorry, bad time?" He asked, stepping inside anyway.

"Not at all." You spoke, to which Draken continued with a "The more the merrier."

"Good to see you're okay, Draken." The other blonde said, approaching the bed.

"All thanks to you. You look worse than I do, Takemitchy."

“Original timeline” theory

In this post, I wrote theories about the timelines evolution and a possibile plot twist for the finale (tbh, I just thought about that while writing the post).

In this post, I’ll try to elaborate that theory.

Are you familiar with Hana Yori Dango? This is an old manga that got a lot of drama adaptations. I just rewatched the latest adaptation F4 Thailand. In short, in this story the FL (female lead) ends with the ML (male lead), but she has also a special relationship with the second lead. In the Korean version, the two are called “soulmates”. They love each other, but don’t end together.

So, I saw a lot of fan art about Takemichi marrying Hina and Mikey being always there during their married life, etc.

If Takemichi and Hina are the main couple, him and Mikey are like the type of soulmate in Hana Yori Dango. It’s bittersweet. It’s different from Koko x Inupi, the kind of soulmate that could end up together.

My theory about another “original” timeline

In my theory, there was an “original timeline” where Takemichi has never been bullied, thus never lost his self-confidence. He was also friend with everyone. Although he wasn’t strong strength wise, he was considered an hero (evidence: when they were children, Kakucho saw in Takemichi an hero).

Letting aside the origin of Mikey dark impulses, in the “original timeline” Takemichi was at the same level as Shinichiro, Baji and Emma. They were the ones that could repress the dark impulses.

Then, something happen. For example, the death of one of them. Mikey became the trigger, putting him in the same position as Naoto. But the time-leaper failed to save who died. But he was also able to go further in the past and did something to make Mikey and Takemichi never met.

This was the last time-leap. As collateral effect of all the time-leap, Mikey’s dark impulses awake.

Present timeline

In Takemichi original timeline, he became a loser because of the bullying during middle school. He never met Mikey and wasn’t a member of Toman.

But as a child he was brave like a hero, acknowledged by Hina, Kakucho, maybe Akkun. He changed because of one traumatic experience.

Takemichi character development (for simpleness: Takemitchy = future, Takemichi = past)

In my theory, in the “original timeline”, Kisaki was never involved. Or, he was the one that killed Takemichi to have Hina, thus causing Mikey to become the trigger for the hypothetical other time-leaper.

After distancing Takemichi from Mikey, some collateral effect cause the death of Hina by Kisaki and Takemitchy first time-leap.

Although the main objective was saving Hina, time-leap could be used by Takemichi to have back his original life = to be a hero again. But he doesn’t know that he had a life in a previous timeline.

Takemitchy, with all the time-leaping, shape his past self life. Let’s analyze the alternative futures timelines:

In his original timeline, because of the trauma, he became a coward and lived an “average” life

After saving Draken, his future doesn’t changed much. He escaped bullying/enslavement, but witness the Bloody Halloween. Since this was a traumatic event, he never associate with Toman.

After Valhalla battle, Takemitchy was nominated division captain and in the future he became a Toman admin. I suppose this was because Kisaki was able to manipulate him after he was forced to break up with Hina. He was depressed, vulnerable and influenced by the environment.

In Manila timeline, we know that he left Toman after witnessing the direction Mikey was going.

In Bonten future, he is back to his average life, but he is happy.

Even though Takemichi and Takemitchy are different, they are the same person. In the end, the two aligned. They became the person they want to be, without regrets.

This is my speculation about how past Takemichi reacted every time Takemitchy take over his body.

Premise: Takemichi is just a teenager, he haven’t experience future events, just have the knowledge/awareness of the futures.

1st time-leap (when he met Naoto) —> he just thought the future knowledge was a dream = in the future, Takemichi is almost killed, but Naoto saves him

1st future change (Draken saved) —> he just thought that saving Draken was enough to change the future, but then he witnessed Bloody Halloween = he got scared, ran away, his future doesn’t changed much

2nd future change (Bloody Halloween) —> like above, he thought what he did was enough, he avoid the worst (Mikey killing Kazutora), became member of Toman and get brainwashed by Kisaki = he became Toman admin in the future

3rd future change (after Christmas) —> the third time he learned to be more mature, he left Toman once he understood Toman became bad (I don’t know how Hina got killed this time, though)

4th future (Bonten) —> Takemichi and Takemitchy align. Otherwise, Takemichi having no idea he proposed to Hina but getting married in the future make no sense.

Takemichi/Takemitchy and Mikey

Mikey took an interest in Takemitchy immediately when he met him the first time. Other characters said that he remind them of Shinichiro, but Mikey no. Maybe Takemitchy and Shinichiro have similar personality traits, but Mikey doesn’t care of it.

Takemitchy technically spent time with Mikey only for half an year… but he strongly felt the need to save him.

In the alternative futures, Takemichi gave up on him. As we see in Bonten future, even Draken gave up on him.

In Manila future, Mikey was empty and killed all his friends, but left Takemichi for last. At the time, he didn’t know he was a time-leaper, but the two seems to share a special connection.

In both Manila and Bonten future, Mikey shows repentance only in front of Takemitchy. Mikey says Takemitchy is his hero.

Returning to soulmate theory, hero!Takemichi is the remaining light for Mikey. Mikey doesn’t list Draken when he talk about the people who could repress his dark impulses, and they are suppose to be best friends. Shinichiro and Emma were family, Baji was a childhood friend who knows about the incident (Senju said that from that day he changed, too).

Since we only see Takemitchy perspective, it’s difficult to describe Takemichi’s personality (the one that lived 12 years between past and future). But I think that in the last future, the two has align. It’s different from when Takemitchy returned to the future and find himself as Toman admin, it was certainly a wrong future.

Original hero!Takemichi is probably lost forever. Takemitchy journey help him become halfway the hero he was in the “original timeline”.

Takemitchy’s visions

Honestly, the vision power feels random.

When Takemitchy saw Mikey killing Kazutora, I thought it was a latent memory of his other self because his past self has experience Bloody Halloween.

When he saw Kisaki proposing to Hina… I don’t have an explanation (Takemichi wasn’t there to be a witness). I thought the scene was created because they were both time-leaper, but Kisaki reveled that he wasn’t. (By the way, Kisaki is a logical type, but he believed Takemitchy when he said he was a time-leaper. For this reason, I’m convinced that Kisaki know who is the other time-leaper)

Vision about Senju dying. This can be explained as an event that Takemichi has experienced. Takemitchy hasn’t changed the past yet, so he is still in Bonten timeline.

But the vision about Sanzu and the train has no explanation. Second generation Toman vs Kantou Manji is a new event. Unless Sanzu is the other time-leaper and the time-leapers are somehow connect… or the power is really random.

Conclusion

There is a reason why Mikey is so attached to Takemitchy even when he didn’t know he could time-leap. He never noticed the difference between the two until he was told the truth.

P.S. I think the tragedy that happened in the “original timeline” happened when Mikey was an adult. The hypothetical second time-leaper power works differently from Takemitchy’s. For example, he can only go to the past. But every time he time-leaped, he cause more tragedy than solving the problem. So he kept go further in the past until he have to stop when he reached childhood time.

I'm gonna assume you read the description on MDL. If not you can read that for a better basic plot. Short short version is main boii gets the opportunity to go back in time and change his unhappy present. Along the way he gets beatdown, gains friends, gains confidence/strength, and gets his happy ending. 😂😂😂

Best "platonic" relationship is definitely all variations of the main 3 bros (Takemitchy x Draken X Mickey). Bonus Bromance is Takemitchy and his bestie Akkun. Tbh all the bro friendships are great. Jdrama Delinquents at its best.

Romance wise.... Main boii and his girlfriend are great. She is the basically the whole reason he goes back in time and yeah I would too for Hinata. She is the BESTESTTT even if her wig made me lolol sometimesss. They have their moments and they are all sweet.

Plot wise... it's simple. the time travel thing makes sense if you don't think too hard. The present parts are not as interesting as the past but they are necessary and it doesn't drag. The big baddie isn't really in it, but it doesn't matter. The mini baddie (Kiyomasa) is enough.

Best character... DRAKEN DRAKEN DRAKEN DRAKEN!!! Literallyyyyy my mannnnnnnn. My honeyyyyy. Yuki my belovedddd. He is one of theee BEST parts of the movie. that's just mee thooooo lolool.
