Akhilesh slams Amit Shah, said, There was less one Baba in state, who other Baba came
Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav took a sarcasm at the Union Home Minister Amit Shah , saying, “There was less one Baba in state, who other Baba came to give his discourse?” Amit Shah came to Lucknow on Tuesday to attend a public meeting organized in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). After Amit Shah’s speech, Akhilesh Yadav tweeted, ‘There was less one Baba in state, who other Baba came to give his discourse? Because of the way these hypocrites have tricked the public with confidence, the public will not put anything in their bag for support on CAA. People will say this to the false Baba … Baba, go this time … then never come back. ‘ SP President Akhilesh Yadav continued his attack on BJP. In a press conference held later, Akhilesh accused the BJP of trying to crush the masses with a ‘roadroll of majority’. He said, “His frustration was clearly seen in his speech during the flop rally of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Lucknow today.” He said that by playing with the core of democracy, BJP leaders are engaged in making intolerance their identity. Akhilesh said, “In any case, the imposition of the CAA, NRC and NPR shows that the BJP intends to take a dictatorial step to crush the people with its majority roadroll.” Citing all the reports, Akhilesh said, “The SBI report shows that this year 16 lakh jobs are going to be reduced as compared to last year. According to the National Crime Records Bureau, on an average, 35 unemployed and 36 self-employed people committed suicide every year in the year 2018. About 10,349 farmers committed suicide. Akhilesh said that BJP is not interested in solving the serious challenges facing the country. She is raising issues like CAA, NRC, NPR to divert the masses from the basic problems. Earlier, addressing the public, Amit Shah said, “Listen to Akhilesh Babu and Company, give us as many abuses as we can, but give as much rebuke to our party but the country against Mother India Whoever shouts slogans will be put in jail. ‘ Inviting the opposition to discuss the CAA, Amit Shah said, ‘There is a campaign against the citizenship law that it will lead to the loss of citizenship of the Muslims of this country. Mamta Didi, Rahul Baba, Akhilesh Yadav Find a public forum to discuss, our Swatantra Dev is ready to discuss. Any section of CAA, leave Muslims, leave minority, if anyone can take citizenship then show it to me. Read the full article

The Daily Tulip
The Daily Tulip
Wednesday 15th February 2017
Good Morning Gentle Reader… Yesterday, I was on the radio as a member of the panel on the top radio program in Spain called Viewpoint hosted by Giles Brown .. That’s where we discuss current events and listeners to the program call in with their particular viewpoint on the topic much the same as you do on The Daily Tulip, except you have to write here, there they talk to you as the program is live… Brexit, Trump, Royalty everything is fair game, if it’s the news we discussed it,  even had a “Wacko” phone in telling us that all the problems had been created by the “Masons” and that “King Donald” was the head of the world’s masonic lodge…
DAM! ..I WAS BUSTING TO GO…. More than 180,000 people in northern California have been told to evacuate their homes after an overflow channel at the tallest dam in the US was weakened by heavy rainfall. The emergency spillway of the 770 ft (230m) tall Oroville Dam was close to collapse, officials said. The excess water has now stopped flowing. However, late on Sunday Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said the evacuation orders remained in place. Water levels in the reservoir have risen following heavy rain and snow after years of severe drought. It is the first time that Lake Oroville, which lies 65 miles (105km) north of Sacramento, has experienced such an emergency in the dam's near 50-year history.
LOSE ONE FIND ANOTHER… The girlfriend of murdered British man Peter Falconio plans to apply for Australian citizenship after learning she has a sister in the country. Joanne Lees, 43, returned to Australia as part of a TV special to search for Mr Falconio's body in the Outback. Bradley Murdoch was convicted in 2005 of murdering Mr Falconio, 28, and assaulting Ms Lees, then 27, on a remote stretch of highway in July 2001. Ms Lees revealed she met her sister, Jess, for the first time last year. "I feel less alone in the world," she said of Jess, who is eight years younger. Ms Lees' father is Australian and the pair are estranged. "When wonderful things happen in the world I want to share them with Jess."
MOTHER IS GOING TO TREASURE THIS MOMENT …A mother who was forced to give birth while standing in line to withdraw money at a bank during the cash crisis has changed the face of crucial elections in India's most populous state. The BBC's Geeta Pandey visits the family at the centre of the incident. He sleeps a lot and cries a lot, he wakes up only when he's hungry, and he likes to be held all the time. Meet Khazanchi Nath, exactly two months and 11 days old, and an unlikely star of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav's poll campaign. Mr Yadav invokes the child's name at every political rally, while criticising the federal government's decision in November to ban 1,000 and 500 rupee notes, insisting that the currency ban has hurt the poor most. Khazanchi, which means "treasurer", was born on 2 December as his mother, Sarvesha Devi, stood in a bank queue to withdraw cash in Uttar Pradesh state.
IT’S A MIRICLE … A mass has been held to reopen a Roman Catholic church in northern Israel badly damaged in an arson attack by Jewish extremists in 2015. The church at Tabgha, on the Sea of Galilee, is built where Christians believe Jesus performed the miracle of the loaves and fishes, also known as the Feeding of the 5,000. The eight-month renovation work cost some $1m (£800,000). Three Jewish extremists have been indicted but not yet sentenced. The arson attack on the Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes caused extensive damage to a book shop and other buildings at the complex. But it did not destroy the 5th Century mosaic floors which are its key archaeological feature.
TIME TO UNPLUG BUT ONLY HALFWAY…. The Rise of the Slow Web Movement….. As the internet grows ever-more present — and ever faster — some people are using technology to try to slow life down, embracing not just old-school dial-up access at cafés, but apps that delay opening messages for up to a decade or that ask you to focus on the things you’ve already accomplished instead of your yet-to-be-done list. It’s a half-detox from digital overload, say fans, who’d rather step back a bit than renounce online life and move into a cave.
Well Gentle Reader I hope you enjoyed our look at the news from around the world this, Wednesday morning…
Our Tulip today is a close up of a beautiful Parrot Tulip...
Tumblr media
A Sincere Thank You for your company and Thank You for your likes and comments I love them and always try to reply, so please keep them coming, it's always good fun, As is my custom, I will go and get myself another mug of "Colombian" Coffee and wish you a safe Wednesday 15th February 2017 from my home on the southern coast of Spain, where the blue waters of the Alboran Sea washes the coast of Africa and Europe and the smell of the night blooming jasmine and Honeysuckle fills the air…and a crazy old guy and his dog Bella go out for a walk at 4:00am…on the streets of Estepona…
All good stuff....But remember it’s a dangerous world we live in ….. Be safe out there…

A tiny infant has become an unlikely talking point in the key elections in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The BBC’s Geeta Pandey visits him at his home to find out why he’s so special.
He sleeps a lot and cries a lot, he wakes up only when he’s hungry, and he likes to be held all the time.
Meet Khazanchi Nath, exactly two months and 11 days old, and an unlikely star of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s poll campaign.
Mr Yadav invokes the child’s name at every political rally, while criticising the federal government’s decision in November to ban 1,000 and 500 rupee notes, insisting that the currency ban has hurt the poor most.
Khazanchi, which means “treasurer”, was born on 2 December as his mother, Sarvesha Devi, stood in a bank queue to withdraw cash.
“I had left home at 09:00 to go to the bank in Jhinjhak town to withdraw money,” Sarvesha Devi told me when I visited her home in Sardar Pur village.
The heavily pregnant 35-year-old mother-of-five had walked 3km (1.8 miles) to get to the bank, accompanied by mother-in-law Sashi Devi and her eldest child, 10-year-old daughter Priti.
The family belongs to the Baiga tribe, which is among India’s most poor and deprived communities. Her husband, a snake charmer, died last August, wasted away by tuberculosis.
A few months ago, Sarvesha Devi had qualified for a government scheme meant to build homes for the poorest of the poor, and had gone to the bank to withdraw 20,000 rupees ($299; £239).
At 10:00 when the bank opened, the family took their place in the cash queue.
“There were hundreds of people there. There was a separate queue for women but even that was far too long. There were dozens in front of me, and there were dozens behind me,” she says.
In the afternoon, she began getting contractions and her labour pains started.
“We begged the bank officials to give us our money quickly so we could leave,” says Sashi Devi.
“I told them that my daughter-in-law was pregnant and that she was in pain, but they didn’t care. They said everyone makes these excuses. And then her water broke. She was very embarrassed.”
Realising that there was no time to waste, Sashi Devi took her daughter-in-law to a corner near the stairs. Priti was made to hold up her mother’s shawl to create a makeshift curtain, and within minutes, the baby arrived.
“If my mother-in-law wasn’t there, I would have died,” Sarvesha Devi tells me.
Sashi Devi is not a trained midwife, but she is not a novice either – she has over a dozen grandchildren and she has delivered almost all of them, including all of Sarvesha Devi’s earlier babies.
“I was very angry. I told the bank officials to show some compassion. My daughter-in-law had just delivered a baby. I said people could die in the queue.”
That’s when, says Sashi Devi, bank officials gave them the money they had come to withdraw. “They took Sarvesha’s thumb impression since the account is in her name and handed me the money.”
Bank manager SK Chaudhary told the BBC the staff had no clue how serious the situation was until the baby was actually born.
“There were hundreds of people in the bank. It was so crowded, you could only see the tops of people’s heads,” he said.
“There was no way any of us could have known that there was a pregnant woman in the crowd, about to deliver a baby.”
Mr Chaudhary said he went to check on the family as soon as he heard about it and “was so relieved to see that the baby and the mother were doing fine”.
He tried to call an ambulance, “but they began asking too many questions, so we informed the police”.
The police arrived quickly and took Sarvesha Devi and her baby to a local health centre and after they were checked by a doctor, they were driven home in a police vehicle.
Local journalist Ramakant Gupta, who was among the first reporters to get to the scene, says he was impressed by Sarvesha Devi’s courage.
“Soon after giving birth, Sarvesha Devi walked down these steps to get into the police jeep. I salute her strength,” he says.
Since the baby was born in the bank, the village council chief suggested he be named Khazanchi Nath.
“We hadn’t decided on a name so we agreed,” says Sarvesha Devi, laughing.
The tiny baby with the big name has also brought his family some luck – even before he turned a month old, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav awarded his mother 200,000 rupees ($2,990; £2,394).
Mr Yadav’s opponents have described the move as politically motivated, done with an eye on the state elections, but Khazanchi’s family are happy that their new baby “has become world famous”.
“The chief minister told me to take good care of Khazanchi Nath. I promised him I would,” says Sarvesha Devi.
“I want him to go to school, get a good education, take up a job. We have dreams, but then it’s his kismat [fate].”

Jeden Tag erfahren 40 Kinder in Deutschland sexuelle Gewalt.
20 angezeigte Vergewaltigungen pro Tag allein in Deutschland
Gang rape videos are being sold in India
It’s been four years since Jyoti Singh, a 23-year-old medical student in India, died after suffering a brutal gang rape while riding aboard a bus. The heinous crime caused global outrage and was the subject of a controversial and censored documentary, India’s Daughter. The film has forced India to confront a culture in which rape has become rampant, a culture that people inside and outside the country have demanded must change. But change, if it’s happening, is hard fought, as a startling new report shows. According to Reuters, gang rape videos have become a popular seller in Uttar Pradesh, India’s most populous state located in the northern region of the country.
Platitudes like that, however, are not sitting well with citizens who are fed up with the barbaric behavior. Last week, a teenage girl and her mother were gang raped after being abducted at gunpoint by a band of thugs in a highway robbery. The mother and daughter were raped for hours as police failed to respond to calls for help promptly. Relatives of the victims have asked authorities to allow them to publicly execute the suspects police eventually arrested.
The clips are being sold „under the counter“, according to the newspaper, to people who come with a customer’s „reference“, and also via social media. They range in length from 30 seconds to as long as five minutes.
„Porn is passe. These real life crimes are the rage,“ an unnamed shopkeeper in Agra, home of the Taj Majal, told the Times of India. It reported that police believe the videos are used as blackmail, to prevent victims from reporting the crimes, or to pressure them into further acts.
Gang rape videos on sale in India amid rise in violent crimes against women
MUMBAI (Thomson Reuters Foundation) – Graphic mobile phone clips of gang rapes are being sold in shops in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, as a spate of rapes in one of the country’s most violent states has sparked anger and calls for the chief minister to step down.
The clips, which last 30 seconds to five minutes, are being sold in the „hundreds, perhaps thousands, every day“, the Times of India reported. They cost 50-150 rupees ($0.75-$2) each.
„We are aware. We are taking necessary action. But it is difficult, as the sales are happening below the counter,“ Ajay Sharma, a deputy inspector general of police in the city of Agra, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.
In recent weeks, several gang rapes have been reported in Uttar Pradesh, which ranks among the most unsafe for women.
Last week, a woman and her 14-year-old daughter were dragged from their vehicle at gunpoint on a major highway and gang-raped for hours in nearby fields. Local media reported that initially the police did not respond to a call for help.
The daily Indian Express reported that this week another woman was gang-raped in Uttar Pradesh, and said the incident had been recorded on a mobile phone.
Increasingly, perpetrators are recording their crimes on mobile phones to use as a blackmailing tool and to dissuade victims from going to the police, the Times of India said.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has come under fire over the rise in violent crimes against women, with #LawlessUP trending on Twitter this week.
In 2014, there were 337,922 reports of violence against women including rape, molestation and abduction, a 9 percent increase on the previous year, according to official data.
Rape victims in India suffer enormous stigma and endure an archaic and insensitive criminal justice system, women’s rights activists say.
During lengthy trials, victims and their witnesses are sometimes intimidated by the accused who, in some cases, are granted bail by the court.
A wave of public protests following the fatal gang-rape of a woman on a Delhi bus in December 2012 prompted the government to enact stiffer penalties, including the death sentence for repeat rape offenders and the criminalisation of stalking.
