I was reflecting on AkaYona chapter 91...

And how Soo-won froze during Hak's rage. I know its quite a popular topic in the fandom, but there are some things that I realised only today.

They were friends once. Best friends. And despite how they ended up, he still doesn't really want to kill him. He propably took over the throne because he had seen some greater good in doing so, but even though he knew it meant loosing people he cared for the most, he couldn't throw them completely out of his heart.

Also, they both used to think that one day it would be Soo-won that Hak is loyal to. At least, we know Hak used to, but I'm sure he did too. And yet, they were standing face to face, not even a metre apart, and if it wasn't for the dragons, he would be dying a painful death. Instead of his right hand, Hak became the greatest danger for him.

They were friends. They were supposed to fight side by side. And he just avoided death because there were also a bunch of people he didn't know who managed to stop the Thunder Beast. And they didn't do it for his sake, but because they worried about Hak. And his cousin, girl who had been desperate for his attention and then broken by his betrayal neither stopped Hak out of worry for the king nor did she let him take revenge for them both, but acted only out of worry for Hak.

Hak, who used to be his best friend, now had people around him that cared for him.

And he was alone.

Algira may have just prevented another bezerker Hak moment and I'm thinking Hak's rage toward someone else might have increased ten fold.
