No worries anon! At the contrary, thanks for asking this so I can clarify!

I think that Akane's best case scenario and how far she is willing to go for Aqua aren't mutually exclusive. Back then, Aqua talked about wanting to kill Kamiki as if accomplishing that goal would set him free. That's why Akane wanted to help him.

When Akane tells him that she's willing to help him kill Kamiki, it is what Aqua needs to hear but Akane isn't making him empty promises. She does mean it. Just not in a: You want to kill someone? Cool, let me find a knife! But rather in a: If it comes down to that, and if that's what you need to be happy, you can count on me to help you in whatever way I can.

Akane doesn't actually want Aqua to kill anyone, we see that much when she's thinking that there's no way she can let Aqua meet Kamiki. Her thoughts show that she would ideally like to bring Kamiki to justice. Had it come down to murder though, I do think Akane would've lived up to her word and helped Aqua just so he doesn't have to carry that burden alone.

However, I don't think Aqua would be capable of killing Kamiki in cold blood, so it wouldn't have come to that either way lol
