What is a ‘Meow Meow’?

Things Sax does extremely well: fainting and bleeding (separately), fainting and bleeding (combination), rotting in bed, crying or being completely stoic (no in between), causing more problems while trying to fix his previous problems, omitting certain truths (aka lying).

Now, I don't know if he really counts as an SWMM because he's not a classic villain... but in his pursuit of Doing The Right Thing he has made some awful choices. Good intentions, poor outcomes.

In an attempt to save his sister, he left his post and facilitated the escape of a world-devouring entity which he was supposed to help contain.

After his sister died he made another attempt to save her, via necromancy, and instead doomed her to an endless cycle of death and rebirth. Until recently, none of her reincarnations were healthy enough to survive infancy.

He befriended the parents of this latest incarnation without filling them in on the backstory, or his motives. After they were killed by his enemy, he took the baby and kept her hidden for 11 years (did she have grandparents, uncles, aunts? Yes, probably. He claims they couldn't have cared for her like he did and technicallyyyy he's right, since her survival required magic, but...)

He broke the arm of one of his 'adopted' adult kids (he has an enchanted cottage which has been a refuge for a lot of people) when said adult tried to prevent him from killing someone else. Yes, technically he did only push Thom and didn't intend for Thom to hit the wall so hard, but...

Long story short but his home world didn't end, it was just knocked out of its timeline for a while. Unfortunately, due to his actions on the day the Grim escaped (attacking portal guards and forcing his way through the rift, just as an unrelated-to-him group stormed the castle), he was a) assumed dead and b) immediately arrested on his return for treason and attempted regicide.

He's a constant menace and cause of stress to his man, the kindest and sweetest soul to ever live. He doesn't mean to be, it's just that his attempts to keep Fen safe often seem to involve risking himself in increasingly creative and fatal ways.

Why should you vote for Sax? Well, I think his endless complex trauma and the fact that almost all his misfortunes happened because he was trying to fix things/help people makes him pretty damn tragic and definitely very damp. He could do with a win. Plus... look at him. 🥲

Geoffrey Langraab

What makes Geoffrey a Sad, Wet Meow Meow? What’s more pathetic: marrying the girl of your dreams just for her to turn you into the biggest cuck in the tristate area or slowly gaining consciousness but still pretending you don’t see it because what’s wrong with a little sobbing into your wine glass over your cheating wife’s affair? Geoffrey’s sweet, sensitive nature has paved way for him to be a meek, spineless fluff of a man that will stand outside on the front porch with bated breath for the return of his wife after she plows yet another woman into the mattress under the guise of running a multimillion dollar company (it’s both).

This is the same man who look his own sons in the eyes and know they deserve better but will quietly beg for it from across the room because communication is scary when your wife has walls as thick as the mascara that runs down your face. And just when you start to have an ounce of faith; you’re reminded this is the man who saw with his own four eyes actual hickies on the inside of his wife thighs and chooses to do- well. NOTHING. 😀 Because if you never acknowledge your cheating wife’s passionate affair, did it actually happen? 😏

Day 3 of 7, Winter 2005 After weeks of endless responsibilities and demands, Bella's mother Jocasta knew exactly what her daughters needed - a girls' night out. Jocasta invites Bella and her sister-in-law, Dina, out for a simple night of fun and freedom - no husbands allowed.

As they step into the vibrant energy of the dance club, the music pulsates through the air, wrapping them in a rhythmic embrace. The neon lights cast colorful shadows on their faces, but fails to mask the joy and excitement that they feel. For Dina, it was a much needed escape from the beautiful yet demanding life of a new mom. But for Bella - work is never far away, and the mission is always ever present. Even on the dancefloor she felt the pressure - and that is when she saw him, forgetting in the moment that he wasn't just the boy she went to school with, the boy married to one of the most powerful families in Simlandia… watching her dance, waiting for a moment to catch her eye.

Agent Sentinel, aka Geoffrey Landgraab, approached Bella cautiously with an invitation to dance. Bella's missions rarely overlap Agent Sentinel's own as he is in deep cover and tasked with monitoring the head of the Landgraab family. In a hushed tone, he conveyed to Bella that he had some information for her that may help her - and that he was advised by the head office to tell her in person.

"Listen, Bella," Geoffrey began, his voice low to avoid eavesdropping ears. "I may have discovered who helped build the lab, there were high-ranking officials in the military involved, as well as the mayor. I've managed to extract bits and pieces of the dealings. There's more."

But here, Bella stops him and they leave the dance floor for a drink and a deserted corner of the dance club. Geoffrey resumes, "I've discovered that Roswell had been pushing for StrangerVille to be more technologically advanced, and he made backroom deals to construct the crater base and underground lab - Nancy had blueprints in her office, along with transaction reports, all paid to Landgraab shell companies. There were also messages that alluded to experiments, and specimen procurement. She must have helped Roswell with the construction - but I have not found how she benefits from the construction. Apex has instructed Specter to assist me in learning what Nancy stands to gain from the lab's construction. Apex filled me in on what is down there. I think the Landgraabs have a lot riding on this, and I'm not just talking about the family fortune."

As they parted, Bella to return to her family and Geoffrey to return to his vigil, Geoffrey subtly slips a small encrypted USB drive into Bella's hand. "This contains what I've managed to gather so far. It might have some leads for you." The Mother Plant, it seemed, was not merely a botanical anomaly but a nexus of intrigue, drawing in even the criminal underbelly of StrangerVille. The coded exchanges suggested that Nancy, knowingly or unknowingly, might be a pawn in a larger scheme involving the otherworldly entity.

Reaper's Rewards - Week 1 Liveblog

Hiya! It’s been awhile since I dusted off this blog. Mostly because I’m uh, massively-procrastinating-on-a-project-within-the-Sims and vowed not to touch my personal file until it’s done. But I figure I’d break that trend this time! Because-

The Reaper’s Rewards Event is on! As the image states, we’re evidently going to work alongside Grim in order to discover the secrets of Ambrosia. Oooooo. That sounds like a good time to crack open my personal file and see what’s up!

Now, I might have considered doing this with Cassandra Goth. In my save file, she has suffered from the untimely death of his father via hysteria and has become quite a dour figure. Alas, she’s living in San Myshuno and there’s something of a major bug happening there. I love San Myshuno so :(. So instead we’re going to do this with the other half of the Goth family.

With Alexander Goth taking point! He lives in a haunted house, and the guy has a fascination with spirits and undead sooooo this is right up his alley! (Bella would also be good because Bella but hey)

...oh wow we’re starting at noon, that’s unusual. Off to school with ye Alex and Venus Goth!

Two events active. One asking about Ambrosia and one contacting Grim about it. It even has a cross-quest thing with Paranormal stuff pack asking the Spirits about Ambrosia. Iiiinteresting.

Waiting until Alex comes back so we’re doing some pufutzing around. Adjusting sexualities for Bella and Geoffrey. ...why yes the formerly known as Geoffrey Landgraab is now Bella Goth’s new husband! He’s straight, she’s bi, and adjusting some likes and dislikes with later packs I've introduced. Also adjusted some conversation topics and Sim characteristics for Bella and Goeffrey. Bella now likes family-motivated and idealist sims and dislikes argumentative sims. Geoffrey likes optimistic, family-motivated and dislikes egotistical sims. Alexander also got some conversation topics he likes but I’m going to be more casual with him on that front.

Parenthood pop up and man is it nice to have high level parenting. Seeing both of those character values is good. Bella would give Venus a hug over a ruined lunch.

...can’t buy Grimophone yet! It’s a reward thing. Well good to know!

Kids are back from school and- oh Alexander is apart of the Drama club. Let’s change that! He is massive nerd so chess club for you!

...he is also enraged so uh, let’s go deal with that huh. Meditation time!

Since he’s busy managing his anger, let’s go see what everyone else can do. Venus has the social aspiration sooo, let’s do that. Make friends with another adult and two other children. Can do!

Park is the best place to meet and befriend kids so let’s do that!

Tomi Markovic, Creative tomboy, is her choice to befriend! ...I got the pop up that she was a homebody and if that's Venus's type but eh, it's basing it off of the creative trait and I more figure it would be more of a lean towards idealist (aka creative) sims. Also, we just met her! (And befriended her but still)

At 8PM, the teens started showing up to hang out. No other kids, alas! Time to head home.

Hmm. We randomly earned an event reward. Perhaps for a new day or such? Time to claim an event reward annnd...it’s a gardening book. Good to know.

Let’s see...also struggling what to do for Geoffrey since both of his parental aspirations require time and kids to grow up. Let’s go with...Friend of the World.

Likewise, Alexander is stuck in his Renaissance Sim aspiration until he can become an adult. So let’s go with...the initial bit of the academic reward trait first.

Oooh, Bella calming down Alexander gave her the supportive family dynamic with him! Nice!

Let’s head off to school with Alexander! I do this every other day, mixing it with other work-from-home or active careers.

Alright! Alexander has two relationships going on. One with Oliva Kim-Lewis, and one with Maria Caliente. (daughter of Katrina) I prefer Maria so it’s time to break up, amicably, hopefully, with Olivia.

Right, school's over so let’s actually ask Sims about ambrosia. Teachers would be a good start! ...and I don’t seem to be able to. Hmm. Library after school.

...Cool! Cool cool cool cool cool cool cool. And going home does nothing. TIME TO RELOAD! (Going to bet going to school borked it up. Good to know)

So restart right back to the beginning. ...fun.

This time I’m saving after saving up the conversation and characteristic stuff for this family. That was annoying to reset.

Right, now Alexander is feeling better after making a large donation to charity. So I managed to actually ask the spirits about ambrosia on the seance table, which I do already have since this is a haunted home. They advise planting apple and cherry trees, alongside snapdragons. Also, they want a taste.

...NOOOO. My butler got to planting the lily and snapdragons before I could! Rude! Doesn’t he know I’m on a quest? Let’s just clear some shrub at the front door and- NO I SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING! Resetobject(debug) time!

Right, now we research ambrosia on our phone. ...it’s basically telling us we need three rare ingredients for it. Let’s finally ask three sims about it. First, our butler, who recalls it’s a gourmet dish. Guidry, who just showed up, starts that he’d love to bring a ghost back with it. Lastly, let’s invite over Olivia Kim-Lewis. She was the one who took over her grandfather’s garden so she might know something. (Plus need to cool off that romantic relationship again.) ...eh got the gourmet dish again. Welp. That’s all outside of researching. OH! Could use the Grimmaphone all set up!

And everyone awoke because it’s a haunted house. As it goes. Only one truly terrified is Venus and she’s a kid. I’m not surprised at this. Bella gave some comfort and now we’ll send both back to bed.

Hmm. I received two pop ups for additional traits for Bella. One was for Paranoid, which, no. The other now that she’s doing a séance to lower spiritual volitility is to do perfectionist. Oh that would explain it. She just capped the medium skill. Good to know.

Right, Alexander’s up to two gardening so let’s let him research a plant...and we’re done with the basic search of ambrosia info! Now to summon the Grim Reaper!

Yes it’s that time again! This is my main file after all so I gotta keep an eye on it.

Henford-on-Bagley: The Changler household recently moved out.

Abbie Stone in the Stone household has died. Abbie let it go and froze solid.

Glimmerbrook: The Cynthia and Ammy household recently moved in. Oh nice, maybe one day I’ll actually get to play with her again.

Right, work-from-home jobs and their goals should not trip up this quest thing. Keyword should. We’ll see how it goes. Annd the society newsletter is here! We’ll save it for Alex when he comes home.

Oooh, Grimaphone has a unique particle effect for tunes playing. Nice.

Ah, Scare Seeker lot trait aquired. Evidently it’s suppose to attract occult sims to walk around the neighborhood and make Sims energized when living in a certain home or lot when scary things happen. ...I’d slap that on the homes in Forgotten Hollow. Would perhaps do it here but I kinda want Geoffrey to die first. He’s an average man, trapped in a haunted home.

Right everyone needs to catch up on their beauty rest, even Alex, but that’s for after the newsletter reading. Oh I got three copies, probably one for each adult and teen in this household.

Next step! Cook a dish when 3 level cooking or higher! Already on that! Caprice Salad didn’t work. gourmet dish instead of regular cooking so...let’s do a fruit salad. We have so many strawberries. Annnd completed! We’ll finish off this day and come back next week!

...a fire started just after Alex nabbed some cookies he made out of the oven. Ah well.

Also evidently Lifelong aspirations discovery quest has started and how in the heck does Venus have 15 sastifaction points!? Time to spend! ...I remember now. Living in a haunted house gives out these points like candy.

Anyway, Bella needs to get to know people in Uptown for her job. I would visit the households around there but they’re all too famous for her! So I went to the gym and said hello to a few folks there. Brought Geoffrey along as well! With his Friend of the World aspiration, he needs to make those friends.

Geoffrey has low fun need. Hmm. Where to go? ...I feel like popping in to say hello to Cassandra Goth. Such a shame San Myshuno is borked. She should have been the protagonist but nope!

YEESH. Even the Mischief festival is up now in that crowded square. Blech! Bad! Bad!

Anyway, said hi to Cassandra. Let’s get out of the city. The place for Elders to hang is Lounges. So let’s head over to Oasis Springs and spend some time out there.

...best way to skirt around a haunted house is to just go elsewhere at nighttime. Sounds about right! ...I like that Geoffrey’s way to get around low fun is to just sing at his wife. It’s sweet and adorable!

Right after some breadrolls and a drink, let’s head home and check -

Until that next trip does happen, Mal and I stay in touch by phone and online chats. It’s easy to talk with her for hours either way - and she never minds when I run jokes past her, to see if they work.

...and when we chat via computer, after she signs off for the night I might spend a little time anonymously trolling some celebrity gossip forums, just for the heck of it. It’s too much fun to send them chasing down a hundred wrong rabbit-holes on the subject of Lime’s papa.

(Okay, I do feel a little guilty when one of the “sleuths” gets convinced that my architect Jaxen is the unknown baby-daddy... I’m sure his boyfriend doesn’t appreciate that particular theory!)

the crazy lore of my caliente and landgraab families

So for some reason, the Caliente and Landgraab families in my game have weird intertwined lives. 

I’ve already talked about Johnny Zest (who you may or may not know is related to the Landgraabs) and his wholesome life with his adoptive daughter in a previous post, but the rest of his family has been up to quite a bit.

First of all, for the record: Geoffrey and Nancy Landgraab along with Katrina Caliente are deceased. They died of old age a while ago long before I conceived the idea of creating a blog to document my sims’ lives, so I haven’t grabbed a lot of funny screenshots of them.

But anyway...

The whole gang lives in this little section of Oasis Springs, aka Bedrock Strait (I only have Johnny Zest’s household as playable since tbh I like them the most. I honestly don’t care for the rest of them lmao). As you can see, everyone but the Zest family likes to show off how big and bougie their homes are.

Malcolm Landgraab (son of Nancy and Geoffrey) is married to Don Lothario (who lived with the Calientes) of all people.

My personal headcanon is that Malcolm got tired of the richy rich snooty super-straight lifestyle that his parents tried to raise him in but didn’t know how exactly to get out of it at first. Don, on the other hand, realized he may be bi-curious though he wasn’t sure how Katrina and her daughters would take that considering they were crazy for him. One thing led to another, and Don started to fall for Malcolm. Once Malcolm reciprocated his feelings, they eloped and moved into their own place together.

Now here’s the crazy part: Don and Malcolm share four children together. Malcolm actually had his two eldest children (Jayme, who is a teenager, and Dusty, who is a child) with KATRINA MOTHERTRUCKING CALIENTE. Presumably, this was before he found himself attracted to Don and it’s probably how he wormed his way into the Caliente family in the first place. Who knows how Malcolm and Katrina broke up, but as I’ve said before, she’s currently dead and out of the picture.  He has two daughters with Don (half-sisters of Jayme and Dusty): Jodi, who is a toddler, and the most recent addition to the family, newborn Alisa.

For two people who have the noncommittal trait, they sure are loyal to each other. I mean, Don was willing to put up with someone sleeping with a woman he was probably attracted to at some point, and then marry that person and raise the children he had with Katrina as his own. That takes... something.

Oh, and, Don is currently an elder, so he’ll probably kick the bucket pretty soon. Well, at least he can spend the remainder of his life with his lovely family. This is basically the whole reason I wanted to make this post so I could have their crazy relationship recorded for the ages, lmao

Now I bet you’re wondering how Katrina’s daughters are faring without Don...

Dina Caliente is married to Gavin Richards (from the Roomies household) of all people. Meanwhile, her sister Nina is still single AND living with them. I’d imagine she’d be, well, less than pleased, lmao. Why she doesn’t just move out, I don’t know. Maybe she thinks she’s prettier than her sister and deserves Gavin more than her.

Dina and Gavin share three sons together. Their genealogies weirded me out at first but it seems like Dina adopted a son named Laurant, who’s now a teenager (he’s the one with mid-length red hair). Gavin, on the other hand, adopted a son named Heath, who’s also a teenager (he’s the one with the short brown hair). I imagine they get along pretty well and are close to the same age, so they’ll always tend to hang out with each other.

Their third son is Gordon, who is an infant. He’s a weird one, because his genealogy shows he’s the biological son of Dina and Gavin. However, when I looked at the genealogies of his brothers, he was shown as either adopted by Gavin (according to Heath’s genealogy) or adopted by Dina (according to Laurant’s genealogy). Even if that seems to be one thing the brothers will fight themselves over, all that matters is their parents have acknowledged their baby brother as their own, and they seem to be very much in love (they had a lot of flirty interactions that seemed to rival another one of my sim couples...)!

Moving on to the Caliente sisters’ other siblings (because Katrina apparently got busy before she died)!!

Tonya Caliente is (I believe) Katrina’s eldest “non-canon” child (if you didn’t catch on already, it’s because I have neighborhood stories turned on for my townies/”other households” so they’re able to have lots of babies). A while ago, when Katrina was still alive and having more and more kids, I decided to move Tonya and a few of her younger siblings out and into their own place (only for Katrina to replace them with more babies). Back when I moved Tonya and her siblings out, she was (I think) either a teenager and they were just children, but now she’s a young adult and they’re all teenagers.

Tonya is the one with the short dark pixie cut, reddish cardigan, and black pants. Her younger siblings (at the moment, I don’t know if she’ll adopt more or anything) are Wendell (the only boy, who’s sitting off to the left), Gem (the blonde with the blue dress), Rylie (the one who for some reason generated with a flipping Victorian dress, no joke), and Elise (the fan of the color blue playing with her phone off to the right). They haven’t done anything too earth-shattering yet; in fact, they’re probably the most normal of the extended Caliente-Landgraab family (I suppose Dina and Nina’s little family could be considered “normal” too, if you ignore Nina still living with her married sister and keep in mind Dina’s healthy romantic relationship with her husband).

As for the rest of the Landgraabs (yes, Geoffrey and Nancy got busy too), it appears that Malcolm’s siblings have inherited their parents’ home. They all live there together.

There’s Russell and Irvin, who are a teen and young adult, respectively. At first, I assumed they were possibly twins considering their shared hairstyle, but knowing their age difference, it isn’t possible, lol. Sure isn’t stopping them from sharing a bedroom, though. When I looked at Irvin’s genealogy, it appeared he fathered a daughter with a random townie woman, Alexandra Weir. However, they actually don’t seem to have any kind of relationship with each other. I can only assume they were one of those people who dated in high school and ended up having a one-night stand which resulted in her getting pregnant and him ditching her because he wasn’t ready to have a kid. Yeah, weird (this post is getting messy on its own so I don’t think I’m going to throw Alexandra in here too. Maybe she’ll get her own post one day...).

Then there’s Gideon and Kailani, who are both young adults. Kailani has quite a few unfortunate traits (she’s gloomy, evil, and has the “sinister” major impression personality - courtesy of the Wonderful Whims mod) though has surprisingly gotten along well with everyone so far.

Gideon, on the other hand, received the notification below as I was literally in the middle of writing this post. It seems like he’s taken after his brother Irvin and had a one-night stand with Cassandra Goth of all people, and now they’ve got an infant daughter. And of course it’s the female partner who’s raising their child on her own.

“Ok”. That’s all he can say, lmao.

Lastly, there’s Halle (a young adult), who has also taken the same path as her brothers and had - well, adopted, actually - a little girl of her own named Lila. As you can see, Lila has a very interesting sense of fashion. I actually headcanon Halle (whose originally appearance was generated by default to be the most “hipster” or “LoOk aT mE i’M sPeCiAL aNd NoT LiKe ThE oThEr GiRLs”) to be quite a fangirl of the notorious Willow sisters (my OCs) and wants to emulate them. It’s likely due to the fact that she was the most spoiled of her siblings and is now passing that down to her daughter, whom she also wants to be special and unique (hence her qUiRkY appearance).

Guess I should prepare for the Caliente-Landgraab dynasty to flourish and drag in more people throughout my town...

So. I have fallen into a blackhole of doing makeovers for the TS4 premades.

  Nancy Landgraab

   Inspired by the Landgraabs’ MCM-style Affluista Mansion, and Nancy’s original outfits which are predominantly in orange and white, I gave Nancy a sleek and modern late 60s/early 70s-inspired look.

 I also kept Nancy’s clothes fairly short/form-fitting. I catch Nancy jogging all the time in my game, even though she doesn’t have the Active trait. So I took this to mean that Nancy is obsessed with her appearance/weight and will try to flaunt her figure whenever possible.

 Finally, since Nancy canonically wanted to be an artist based on the City Living reviews, I threw in some funky accessories for Nancy to express her arty side.

   Geoffrey Landgraab

   Geoffrey gives me upper-class-golfer-dad vibes, so I gave him a preppy, understated look accordingly.

 I also went for a blue and white colour palette to go with his chill persona.

 I think this fits in with my headcanon of Geoffrey as a secret agent who is working undercover as a doctor. Nothing too flashy for him to avoid blowing his cover!

   Malcolm Landgraab

   I don’t really have a clear idea of what Malcolm should be like in my game yet (other than being a spoiled bratty kid, I guess). But my makeover of him was based on showing the influence of both his parents on him.

 So like Malcolm’s clothes are mainly in blue (Geoffrey’s colour) and orange (Nancy’s colour). And his style is a mix of both Geoffrey’s and Nancy’s styles, which resulted in some kind of L.A.-ish flash-meets-prep look.

   Given his canon backstory of having dropped out of school and getting disowned by the Landgraabs, I pictured Johnny with a boho/hippie-type look to go along with his rebellious nature.

 I also gave Johnny some bright colours and zany patterns in his outfits to fit in with him having the Goofball trait and his Joke Star aspiration.

Part III - Wife - Nancy recalls her life as a wife, mother, and businesswoman (we begin at the year 1998 and then time skip to 2007 and again to 2015). Nancy has chosen to put her past behind her and is working hard to continue elevating her family's business while raising two rambunctious boys with her husband and business partner, but is it all truly enough to keep her past and her desires at bay? Can she continue playing the perfect wife and mother when temptation shows up at her front door?

Nancy Narrates: [Geoffrey proposed our junior year of university. I said yes]

Nancy Narrates: [Not a minute after graduation, I was walking down the aisle. I was ready to become a wife]

Geoffrey: [grumbles] M’sorry. Too drunk for more, I think.

Geoffrey: [sighs] Hey. I wanna have a buncha babies.

Nancy: Oh, so you’re really drunk then.

Geoffrey: M’serious. Want 4 boys, 4 girls. All name Geoffrey Jr. and Nancy Jr. At least one’s named is Zachary.

Nancy: Hey, listen here, lover boy. Let’s just enjoy this. Just you and me and us trying not to drown in the work my parents give us.

Geoffrey: And then babies?

Nancy: [hums] Maybe babies. Give me a year to think about it, ok?

Geoffrey: [sighs happily] I love you. My wife.

Nancy: I love you too.

Nancy Narrates: [I was elated. I was a woman who was capable of loving a man. I was a woman who was capable of making love. I’ve never felt more hopeful. My future never felt so bright-]

Nancy Narrates: [And just like that, the high was over]

Geoffrey: Hey, Nance? Are you missing work again today? Your mom has been really... erm, Queenie-ish the past week with you being out. I’m scared she’s going to actually bite me. [chuckles nervously]

Nancy: Damn you, Geoffrey! What happened to a year? It’s barely been 90 days!

Geoffrey: Wha-

Nancy: I should have known, you can barely pull out of the driveway properly!

Geoffrey: Wait, you’re pregnant?

Nancy: [scoffs] You don’t sound very sorry about it!

Geoffrey: You’re pregnant! I’m going to be a dad?!

Geoffrey: [sings] I’m your baby’s daaadddy!

Nancy: [sniffles, laughs] I can’t believe you did this. I could strangle you.

Geoffrey: Hey, we did this. Me and you.

Nancy: God, what are we going to do with a baby? I don’t even think I’ve ever met a baby.

Geoffrey: We got this, Nancy. It’s us, we’re talking about. We’ll be great!

Nancy Narrates: [Who would have thought; a wife and soon a mother. This was the life I chose]

Queenie: You should head home, Nancy. I’ve scheduled you a prenatal massage to your residence for this evening. I’ll have my intern take over your projects for the time being.

Nancy: Oh. Thank you, mother. That’s very kind of you.

Queenie: It’s the least I could do. You are carrying my grandson, after all.

Queenie: [murmurs] My lucky girl.

What is a ‘Meow Meow’?

Things Sax does extremely well: fainting and bleeding (separately), fainting and bleeding (combination), rotting in bed, crying or being completely stoic (no in between), causing more problems while trying to fix his previous problems, omitting certain truths (aka lying).

Now, I don't know if he really counts as an SWMM because he's not a classic villain... but in his pursuit of Doing The Right Thing he has made some awful choices. Good intentions, poor outcomes.

In an attempt to save his sister, he left his post and facilitated the escape of a world-devouring entity which he was supposed to help contain.

After his sister died he made another attempt to save her, via necromancy, and instead doomed her to an endless cycle of death and rebirth. Until recently, none of her reincarnations were healthy enough to survive infancy.

He befriended the parents of this latest incarnation without filling them in on the backstory, or his motives. After they were killed by his enemy, he took the baby and kept her hidden for 11 years (did she have grandparents, uncles, aunts? Yes, probably. He claims they couldn't have cared for her like he did and technicallyyyy he's right, since her survival required magic, but...)

He broke the arm of one of his 'adopted' adult kids (he has an enchanted cottage which has been a refuge for a lot of people) when said adult tried to prevent him from killing someone else. Yes, technically he did only push Thom and didn't intend for Thom to hit the wall so hard, but...

Long story short but his home world didn't end, it was just knocked out of its timeline for a while. Unfortunately, due to his actions on the day the Grim escaped (attacking portal guards and forcing his way through the rift, just as an unrelated-to-him group stormed the castle), he was a) assumed dead and b) immediately arrested on his return for treason and attempted regicide.

He's a constant menace and cause of stress to his man, the kindest and sweetest soul to ever live. He doesn't mean to be, it's just that his attempts to keep Fen safe often seem to involve risking himself in increasingly creative and fatal ways.

Why should you vote for Sax? Well, I think his endless complex trauma and the fact that almost all his misfortunes happened because he was trying to fix things/help people makes him pretty damn tragic and definitely very damp. He could do with a win. Plus... look at him. 🥲

Nancy Landgraab

What makes Nancy a Sad, Wet Meow Meow? Our famously known townie turned OC is the Queen of Melancholy. She's closeted, she's religiously repressed, she's h*rny, she's rich, she carries the burden of her deceased elder brother, she's the bane of her mother's existence. When she's not internalizing her self loathing, she's gazing longingly into the distance thinking about a life free of her mother's judgement and status that she never wanted in favor of running free through a sunflower field kissing beautiful women. And when she manages to actually show up for her two sons, she's still so emotionally detached that this will very much come up in a therapy session later. Her husband is almost on his knees begging for her to smile but she's still pining after her first love while being married to said husband (who's a second runner up for SWMM tbh).

She's a cheater, she's a liar, she's about to get into some risky, sketchy business, she disappoints her children, she's morally grey, she's a top, she's catholic, she's a cougar, she likes to splurge on dr*gs and strippers, the list goes on. ahhh.

Later, the rest of Sol’s friends stop by. It was the first time they’d all been together under one roof since they’d aged up into teens. 

Starting from the left we have Clifford Turner - aka Cliff. He’s the youngest son of Penny and her husband William and Sol’s very best friend. Being Penny’s son, Sol and Cliff have known each other since they could walk. Though their mothers’ relationship has drifted, theirs has remained strong. 

Next to Cliff is Mila Landgraab, the adopted daughter of Nancy and Geoffrey. Sol met Mila in elementary school and just couldn’t seem to get rid of her. He disliked her at first - mostly because she only ever seemed interested in Cliff - but eventually she grew on him. 

Second to last is Finley, of course. Like Cliff, Fin and Sol have known each other since they were toddlers. With Braydon - Fin’s dad - being Dalton’s best friend, it was only natural. Finley always had a crush on Sol, but since Sol always seemed interest in Kiersten he always assumed he’d never get anywhere with him. 

Last but not least is Luz Pancakes, the daughter of Bob and Eliza! Sol and Luz met in high school so she’s quite new to the group, but she fits right in! Like Mila, Luz has a bit of a crush on Cliff, though she is very quiet about it. Only Sol knows.

Reimagined the Landgraabs!

Nancy and Geoffrey retained their traits: Nancy is ambitious, materialistic, and a snob, while Geoffrey is family oriented, outgoing, and good. She just wants to be wealthy while he just wants to have a successful lineage.

Johnny (their formerly disowned son) is outgoing, a goofball, and ambitious; he’s still working on his comedy career. His younger brother, Malcolm, is clumsy, a snob, and evil, and wants to follow theirmom in being a criminal.

Now come the children they had with MC Command Center: two boys and twin girls.

The first of these children is William Landgraab (AKA ‘Willie.’) William is an evil and hot-heated teen who also wants to follow their mom in being a criminal. His younger brother, Dax, is a perfectionist whiz kid.

Finally, there are the twins: Haleigh and Luna.

Clearly, the girls have different parents.

At this point, Nancy is middle-aged, not too advanced in her career, and worried about her family’s wealth---she now has six kids to divide her fortune amongst, and being constantly in the public eye has taken its tole on her. While she loves Geoffrey in her own way, she needed to let off steam, and spent intimate time with one of their neighbors, resulting in the twins having different parents.

Haleigh is the older twin by three minutes and is a silly child. Her sister, Luna, is the youngest of six and as fussy as can be.

1. How old is your sim? the equivalent of 21/22 i guess? (he’s not a fresh baby YA, he’s a couple days in.)

2.  When is your sim’s birthday? again idk, probably in the spring.

3.  What is your sim’s zodiac sign? maybe a pisces?? ?

4.  What is your sim’s ethnicity? canonically simerican (but idk the landgraabs are basically 50 shades of white)

5. Does your sim have any nicknames? Johnny. (Also Gavin calls him J, b/c why not haha)

6. Do they have a job? He’s a full-time unsuccessful stand up comedian. AKA he’s a barista.

7. Where does your sim live? Oasis Springs.

8.  Who does your sim live with? His best friend and most loyal fan, Chester.

9. What environment did your sims grow up in? (strict, loving, cold etc.) Definitely strict, but his parents both expressed their love for him in their own ways. Plus his little brother thought he was simply the bee’s knees. So life wasn’t terrible. It was only when Johnny decided to jump ship and become a comedian that his relationship with his family suffered. 

10. What are your sim’s favorite foods? Pizza (probably hawaiian)

11. What is your sim’s favorite drink? anything with tequila.

20. Does your sim have a best friend? As I said: his cat Chester. He’s also pretty close to Cassandra & Zoe but wouldn’t consider either of them a best friend. Growing up his best friend was Sergio. They don’t talk anymore. *tear*

22. Is/was your sim a high, mid or low achiever in school? high. but if you asked Nancy, not high enough

23. Are they planning to go or have they already been to college? If so, what would be or what was their major? (THIS IS A LAWLESS LAND AND UNI DOESN’T EXIST iN MY WORLD ATM.) He would have majored in econ and secretly changed his major to something like zoology or psychology w/o telling anyone.

25. What is one thing your sims wants to do before they die? Make up with his family. (but you didn’t hear it from me)

26.  Does your sim have a favorite tv show (cable) and/or movie? he’s a big “Game of Groans” fan. The books were better though.

27. Is your sim a Netflix viewer? If so what are their top 3 shows. yeah but he’ll watch whatever Simflix recommends him. he’s not picky.

28. Does your sim like books? If so what’s their favorite one? Not particularly, he does enjoy graphic novels.

29. Does your sim enjoy video games, if so what is their favorite one and do they play on pc or console? Not particularly; he’s decent at “Incredible Sports”
