#AJRuiz2: This will all be over in 6 rounds. And the belts are coming back to Britain.
James Vigar:Witnessing Ruiz Jr’s weight it’s hard not to recall James Buster Douglas post-Tyson shock. It didn’t end well for him!

Mariusz Wach looks a touch tired, he left his body open for Dillian Whyte to take his pick of the ribs there.
Wach trundles backwards as Whyte goes after him once more but the Polish fighter then throws a right in response.
Whyte sticks his head into the veteran, and then comes down with a right on top of the former world title challenger. Still in control, for me.

Usher’s here… yeah, yeah, yeah he is.

Mariusz Wach takes it to Dillian Whyte in the sixth, perhaps feeling his has to go for it before running out of gas. Whyte stills looks composed and controlled, just stepping on the accelerator briefly when he needs to.
He digs a jab into the nose of Wach, and then goes hunting for the body with a flurry of left-handers.
Wach sticks it to the Brit on the ropes before the bell but Whyte covers up and comes out unscathed.

Quiet atmosphere

Half-way there…
Have to say I’ve heard rowdier atmospheres in Manchester’s Northern Quarter on Mad Friday.
Wach suddenly comes alive and ups the tempo towards the end of the fifth and that gets the crowd going somewhat – it wakes Whyte up too, he delivers a telling right before the bell.

All change in Saudi…

Matt on the left has recently moved to Saudi Arabia but the British expat tells me he’s already seen change in a country loosening rules as it seeks to modernise its way of life.
His mate Mel has flown in for the big fight from London and both seem bang up for it, even in the absence of the drinks that normally loosen the vocal chords on these big boxing nights.

Forget Clash on the Dunes, this is Punches in Ponchos at the moment.
Dillian Whyte wheels towards his opponent with a winding right arm, silver gloves flashing through the Riyadh sky as he looks to connect with the bleach-blonde barnet of Wach.
Wach goes in for a little afters following the bell, Whyte just pedals away towards his corner.

I’m not even going to try and write anything good to big this picture up other than..
One relentless man on his second poncho of the night.

It’s a tentative atmosphere in Saudi Arabia so far for this one – the loudest person in the temporary arena is the main in Mariusz Wach’s corner, talking his charge through every punch.
Wach pops one into the stomach of Dillian Whyte and that prompts a backlash from the Brixton bruiser, who is controlling the distance and tempo so far.

Ferocious from Dillian Whyte, thudding into the body of the Polish fighter. Whyte winds up a left but it’s wild and he’s instead just caught himself, but rides it well.
Whyte wheels Wach in like a six-foot-something yo yo to get a shot to the ribs away and then wriggles in a right-hander over the top of the 39-year-old’s guard.
Two down…

Big tent=big event

If you wondered how big an event this was and how big the organisers have gone, take a look at the size of the media centre.
It’s bigger than any I’ve seen at the Olympics.
Right now it’s being used as a shelter. The charm offensive by organisers has been obvious and they can’t do enough to help those here. Well, they could stop the rain but so far it’s been beyond them.

Wach is the taller fight, boasting the reach on Whyte – the British fighter patrols the ring, keeping his distance before landing a right to the lower body of his opponent and looking to close the gap. Another low right hand slips through, then a hooked left. Good start.

Right, there’s the bell…

Dillian Whyte might be on the undercard here, but make no mistake he’s got eyes on the prizes currently sitting in Andy Ruiz Jr’s corner.
The only loss on the Londoner’s professional record came against the man topping the bill, Anthony Joshua, and Whyte has been working his way through the heavyweight division since.

What do you know about Mariusz Wach? Well, most notably he challenged Wladimir Klitschko for the unified heavyweight titles in 2012, lost by decision and then admitted to doping. The 39-year-old heads into this bout on the back of three straight losses.

Dillian Whyte, the Body Snatcher, is already entertaining the fans on his route to the ring – black robe with gold trim, hood up, head bowed, arms dangling… before howling in the air as he approaches the ropes.
Now he’s having his trainers unwrapped…

Whyte has doping charge dropped
Whyte v Wach
InstagramCopyright: Instagram
Dillian Whyte’s charge for a doping violation was dropped on Friday.
The 31-year-old provided a sample on 20 June this year – before his victory against Oscar Rivas in July – that contained traces of a banned steroid.
But UK Anti-Doping says the levels in his sample were “very low” and the presence of a steroid was “not caused by any fault, negligence or wrongdoing” on Whyte’s part.
In a joint statement released on Friday following an investigation, Ukad said Whyte’s positive test could not have affected his bout against Rivas.
Whyte survived a ninth-round knockdown to beat the Colombian on points at London’s O2 Arena in the summer.

Anthony Joshua beats Andy Ruiz Jr to reclaim heavyweight world Champion - Highlights
Anthony Joshua became a two-time word heavyweight champion with unanimous points victory over Andy Ruiz Jr in a tense rematch in Saudi Arabia.
Half a year on from the night time Ruiz stunned boxing, Joshua risked seeing his career left in tatters with another defeat, but served up 36 minutes of movement and well-timed punching to take the IBF, WBA and WBO titles back once again.
After cutting his Mexican rival in the first round he never looked back and chose smart jabs and right hands throughout before being serenaded with chants of “AJ, AJ, AJ” by 14,000 approximately fans in the Diriyah Arena.
Ruiz never looked near to landing a knockdown and when scores of 118-110 118-110 and 119-109 were read out, Joshua jumped up and down in the ring in celebration, in the same way the person who’d wrecked his US debut did in June.
