#ais had more or less finished beating up the roughneck by the time mc found him so I dunno if their opinion of him factored into it

yeah I went back and replayed the demo to check and it's more ambiguous than i thought; he didn't kill that one guy in particular, this was a pretty big point in the conversation. I think it's a fair guess to assume he has killed people, given uh. (gestures at him) but they DID go out of their way to establish that he didn't kill one guy, and I think from that it's also fair to assume that he usually doesn't kill people—possibly because he loses interest after they're no longer fit to fight back.
narratively speaking, him not killing the roughneck makes the conversation more interesting; the conversation branches into "I think you're a killer," where he establishes that he's only interested in hurting you in the fun sexy way, or into "I think you're a liar," where MC doubts him because he's so outlandish, but after talking to him some more realizes he actually is just Like That [abt the seaspring: "you're a shit salesman. you could've sold me if you were less honest." / "thought i was a liar" / "I changed my mind"].
In conjunction with how aware he is of the bad impressions he leaves on you, I think him not killing the guy establishes a moral code that's somewhat unexpected given (gestures at him again), which just makes it more interesting and worth reviewing! So yeah good point
TLDR you're right there's nothing that says he Does kill people as routinely as he beats them senseless. I do however think he still has what some may call a behavioral issue and semantics aside, he's doing enough violence that Mhin can't stand him, but somehow Kuras can. Curious!
actually. hold on. does Kuras like. not care about Ais's extracurriculars [fighting and killing people]? I can't imagine he doesn't know about it but he doesn't seem to hold anything against Ais, which is interesting
