I usually always wind up liking biological new additions to hero families.
Tumblr media
Only time will tell if lizzie becomes a favorite of mine like her sister Stevie from earth 3839/earth 38 and their brother hunter from that one future/alternate timeline we saw glimpses of a few years back.

Tumblr media
Like honestly guys we have Damian and his Legion of adopted siblings and we have jon and his two newer adopted siblings(although I'm not sure how long those two will stick around) plus kon .
Diana was due to get another bio kid eventually.
...
Before you lot go on about lyta since I've seen people complain about her not being the wonder kid in the issue.
Tumblr media
Yeah guess king did his research because lyta got shown in infinite frontier. So obviously she has her post crisis background.
Dc already did a timeline screw up by having airwave in the stargirl lost children stuff when he was shown previously in a green lantern annual back in 2019 🤣 🤣 if they would have used lyta instead I would have laughed so hard

"And a song you shall have, Miss Daisy." He spoke sweetly, his voice warm and inviting. He chose a song for her, a love song that was sure to melt her heart. The melody was soft and sweet, and the lyrics were nothing short of poetry. As he played the song, he imagined her listening to it, her eyes closed as she floated away on a sea of emotion. He watched from his window as the moon shimmered in the sky, and he knew that it was going to be a night to remember.
As Alastor began playing the song on the radio, he felt as if his heart was pounding in his chest. He couldn't help but wonder what Miss Daisy looked like, what her life was like. He found himself thinking about her constantly, her voice and her kindness stuck in his mind.
Every time she called in with a request, his heart fluttered at the sound of her voice. And each time she asked for a love song, his feelings for her only grew stronger.
Weeks of regular requests from Miss Daisy. It only sparked his curiosity with how devoted she is to listening to his radio show, over and over again.
One night, as he was winding down the show, Alastor received a special request from Miss Daisy, a popular love song at that time. He couldn't believe it. Miss Daisy always had the best taste in music, and this song was no exception.
"This is perfect," Alastor said over the airwaves. "I can't wait to play it for you, Miss Daisy."
As he played the song, his heart raced with excitement. He was sure that Miss Daisy would love it, and he couldn't wait to hear her reaction.
When the song ended, he waited anxiously for Miss Daisy to call back.
Finally, after what felt like hours, Miss Daisy called back. Her voice was soft and nice, and Alastor could feel the gratitude and appreciation in her words.
"That song was incredible, Alastor," Miss Daisy said. "Thank you so much for playing it."
Alastor felt a rush of gratification. He was so glad that he could bring Miss Daisy this much joy and happiness through his music.
As for you, your fingers fiddled through the radio, turning it off, you stared out onto the night's sky. walking to the open balcony, watching the bustling city and it's different shaded light. some dim. some absolutely shining. you huffed to yourself.
With all of a sudden, The phone rang. ultimately, you picked it up. with Loralie on the other line, you were filled with glee as she gladly muttered out your name.
"Y/n, Darlin.. We're gonna be home tomorrow by 9, could you prepare the breakfast for me n' lewis, sugarplum?" she exclaimed. the sounds of bags and object clangs emitted in the background. you hummed in response, taking responsibility for making the breakfast by the time they came home. "Thank you darlin, take care okay? you yap all about your week when we come home, alright, okay.. tata moonpie~" with that, she dropped the call. you sighed, contented of finally not being alone.
You were content as the sounds of Loralie's voice faded away. You had been feeling a little bit alone lately, and her call had brought you a sense of comfort and connection. Finally, you laid in bed, drifting off to sleep.
The next day went by, the sunlight slowly creeping the room, You began to prepare breakfast for her and her boyfriend, You wanted to make them something special, something that would make them feel welcomed and appreciated.
You spent the next few minutes preparing everything, getting the ingredients for the breakfast that you knew they loved the most. You cooked up some scrambled eggs, fried some bacon, and toasted some bread. You even whipped up a batch of pancakes from scratch.
When everything is ready, you put the food on a plate and set it on the table. You sat down on the couch and waited nervously for them to arrive.
Finally, the sound of keys jangling in the door echoed through the apartment. Lorilie and her boyfriend walked in, both looking weary from a long day of traveling. "Y/n, Darling, i missed ya! utterly missed ya.." she pulled you into a tight hug, setting down her headdress onto the sofa. along with the bags. she glanced over the breakfast filled table, pulling Lewis, Her boyfriend over.
"Make sure you both eat a lot.." you muttered seating on the opposite side of the two. taking a munch of the pancakes, sighing in delight as you did. You felt a sense of accomplishment and happiness at having done something nice for someone else. For a few seconds of chewing, Lewis glanced over his wrist watch, eyes widening of the time.
"Loralie.. Y/n.. i-i'm afraid i need to get going" he frantically muttered, standing up from his seat, grabbing his coat while Loralie followed behind. "Lewis! you haven't finished breakfa-" she was cut off with a kiss he planted on her cheek before leaving. she sighed. watching him leave the place, Loralie hurriedly ran over to the balcony, calling out to him. "Lewis! make sure to call me when you get home!" she exclaimed, waving her hands as he left.
"Well, he seems busy.." you spoke up, calmly taking a bite of the food on your plate. Loralie then headed over to you, placing her chair beside you. as for the next few hours. she told all the wonderful things that went on during their vacation. "Well then we went for a joy ride, and good golly, that's all of it." she then turned to you, smiling. "What about you, Dear?, What did you do all week?"
You felt a sense of warmth and comfort as Loralie began to talk about her vacation. You listened intently, enjoying the sound of her voice as she described all of the beautiful places they had visited. You could tell that she was truly excited about the trip, and you were happy that she had a good time.
You thought for a moment before replying, "To be honest, I'm not sure what went by or happened.. This week was kind of a blur." You let out a small laugh, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I think I spent most of my time listening to the radio and reading books."
She paused for a moment. grinning. "Let me guess, you kept on requesting songs from Alastor.. did you? y/n? or should i say.. 'Miss Daisy'." she let out a chuckle. patting your back softly. "Well, i did, but it was for a good cause! I am a loyal listener. okay?" you happily spoke up. fiddling with the fork on your empty
You couldn't help but smile at Loralie's teasing comment. You knew that you were a loyal listener, but you didn't think that anyone else noticed. It was a little embarrassing, but also flattering that someone else had picked up on it.
"I just...I love his voice, and the way he plays his music. It makes me feel...calm, I guess." You shrugged, feeling a little silly for having such strong feelings about a radio host. Loralie laughed. "Well, there's nothing wrong with that, moonpie, well, I think it's rather sweet of you. I'm sure the guy appreciates having such a loyal listener like you." She gave you a comforting pat on the back before getting up to clear the table.
"Well, he has dozens of listeners too, and you know.. err" Loralie placed a finger on your lips. hushing you for a moment. "There's no room to be so humble, darlin" she laughed. grabbing the empty plates, placing it on the sink. patting her hands dry after.
The night went by as always, like a blur. Alastor sat there, With his blood stained hands, dripping down arms, onto his gleaming white fabric. His button up also stained with the red liquid. He hummed along the tune he played on the radio. Taking in the pleasure of his loneliness in the studio. The telephone rang, echoing across the room.
He placed the coated knife onto the table beside him. His hand reached the device, picking it up. bringing it up to his ear. he cooed, answering the call. "You have reached Alastor Altruist! From New Orleans, Louisiana, Welcome to my Broadcast.. and who might be on the other end of this pleasant call?"
The voice at the other end of the line was soft, almost hauntingly sweet. "Alastor, it's me again… Daisy." The caller's voice was familiar to Alastor, and he felt a twinge of excitement course through his veins. He took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves.
"Daisy, it's always a pleasure to hear from you," Alastor said, keeping his voice calm and steady. "What can I do for you tonight?"
"Oh, just a request for a song," Daisy said, her voice like music to Alastor's ears. "I hope it's not too much trouble?"
"Of course not, darling. I'd be delighted to play any song you'd like," Alastor replied, his mind already racing with possibilities. He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. "What song would you like to hear tonight?"
"I'd like the 'April Showers by Al Jolson'" she softly giggled. "April Showers," Alastor repeated, his voice smooth and clear. "That's a wonderful choice, Daisy. I'm sure our listeners will enjoy it just as much as I will." He paused for a moment before continuing. "I'll make sure to play it just for you, darling," he said, his voice filled with a hint of amusement.
With that, he finally played the song. grabbing a clean cloth to wipe the blood off of his arm. along with the once plastered on his face. After he dropped the call. he muttered.
"Keep calling me, Beautiful Stranger.."

Jessica Biel for Interview Magazine, November 2003 - Interview by James Van Der Beek
SHE'S FRIGHTENED OF BIG SPIDERS, BUT THAT HASN'T STOPPED THIS ACTRESS FROM SLASHING HER WAY TO THE TOP OF THE HORROR-FILM GENRE BY JAMES VAN DER BEEK PHOTOGRAPHS BY ROBERTO D'ESTE
She ruled the teen airwaves for six years as one of the WB network's young, sexy soap stars (she still occasionally revisits her series, 7th Heaven, now in its eighth season), but lately Jessica Biel has been focusing on feature films. To talk about her role in the just-released, much-anticipated remake of the grisly cult favorite The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, we set Biel up with ex-WB col- league and co-star in last year's The Rules of Attraction, James Van Der Beek.
JAMES VAN DER BEEK: Hello?
JESSICA BIEL: Hey, James. How are you?
JVB: Very good. You know, this is my first interview. I'm excited.
JB: Being on the other end, it's got to be strange.
JVB: I don't know. I've never done it before. [Biel laughs] So where are you-L.A.?
JB: No, I'm in Vancouver.
JVB: Oh, right. You're up there for Blade [III].
JB: Yes. I've been here for two weeks, and we don't start shooting for another two. I'm working out like a maniac. I work with a trainer every day. and I'm learning martial arts and archery.
JVB: Wow. You are going to kick ass.
JB: And I'm on this nutritional plan-no salt, no sugar, no bread. Just some fruits, every vegetable you can think of, lean meat, and water. They say they want me to have a six-pack stomach, but I think they really want me to have a twelve-pack. [both laugh] But it's fun getting paid to work out.
JVB: Let's talk about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It's got a big buzz around it, huh? And it's got such a cool trailer. What made you decide to do it?
JB: Well, I was skeptical about doing it at first lbecause it's such a cult classic and-
JVB: -Had you seen the original?
JB: I had. I'd seen some of the sequels too, and I was not a fan of those. I was worried that this was going to be another sequel, but I met with Marcus Nispel [the movie's director], and he wanted to remake it in all its 1970s glory, but also update it. Then I read the script, and I was surprised by how well written it was. And when I found out that Michael Bay was one of the pro- ducers, I was ready to jump on board.
JVB: There are all kinds of horror movies coming out these days with a lot of talented, creative people behind them. It seems like there's a horror renaissance.
JB: I love horror movies.
JVB: What are some of your favorites? Are there some that scare the crap out of you?
JB: Poltergeist [1982], The Shining [1980], The Exorcist [1973]. Oh-Candyman [1992]! I was terrified by Candyman. Have you seen it?
JVB: No. I'm a wimp when it comes to scary movies. That's one of my deep, dark secrets.
JB: Well it's out now. [both laugh]
JVB: When you're on the set making a movie like that, can you get a sense of "Wow, this is going to creep the hell out of people?"
JB: Sometimes. And sometimes it was even scary for us.
JVB: You were out on location, right?
JB: We shot on a stage once, but everything else was on location in Texas, in the middle of nowhere. Even going to the Porta-Potti was ter- rifying. [Van Der Beek laughs] Not only were you afraid of something or somebody coming out of the woods, but the spiders down there were the size of my palm.
JVB: Well, everything's bigger in Texas. [both augh] Tell me about your character.
JB: Her name's Erin, and she's the glue that holds everybody together. She's compassionate and kind of mothering. She tries to save all her friends, though they end up getting killed anyway. [laughs] What's really cool about her is she has a will to survive and the strength to fight. She's not a victim. She's a strong, pissed-off young woman.
JVB: Oh, I can definitely see you playing that. [Biel laughs] I'm going to have to see this movie now. I'll go with Heather [Van Der Beek's wife]. She'll hold my hand.
JB: My boyfriend gets scared at horror movies too. He hides his eyes sometimes.
JVB: I've never actually done that, but I do look away from the screen. "Okay. That's the side of the theater. This is just being pro- jected." [Biel laughs] Now, how long have you been acting?
JB: I started 7th Heaven when I was 14.
JVB: Was that your first gig?
JB: I had done a few commercials.
JVB: Had you done any other work, like theater or singing?
JB: Growing up, I did lots of plays in Boulder and Denver. I remember thinking, This is fun! I can really do this! My parents were amazing. They said, "Okay. Let's go for it." I took some classes, and I performed at a competition where casting agents and managers from all over the country came in to see the kids in my area, and I won a scholarship to an acting school. Then I came out to L.A. for pilot season-I came out for pilot season three years in a row, and in the third year, 7th Heaven happened.
JVB: Did you realize how big it was to get a pilot that was picked up?
JB: I never really thought it would happen. I remember my manager saying "this won't get picked up they almost never do but you'll do it and it'll be great to put on your résumé."
JVB: Now, a series is a dream come true, and every actor wants to work, but at some point, the series inevitably becomes less fulfilling. How many years into 7th Heaven was it before you started to think, The grass might be greener somewhere else?
JB: Probably around the third or fourth season. I knew this character so well, and I wondered what it'd be like to try something else. Did you feel that with Dawson's Creek?
JVB: For me, it got to a point where the characters were getting older, and a lot of things that happen to people the age that we were playing could never be covered on the show because of the time slot and because of what the show had become. It felt like we weren't able to tell the truth anymore, whereas when we first started, we felt like there were no limits. Now, when we were making The Rules of Attraction together, early on we had a difficult scene together-the one after we had sex, and I'm on mushrooms and you just nailed it.
JB: Thank you.
JVB: So, I was wondering, how do you pre- pare? What's your process?
JB: It's different every time. For that scene I tried to think about what it would feel like to be used. When I feel comfortable, as I did in that situation, my emotions come out. I accessed the guilt I've felt in my past, applied it to the guilt that my char- acter was feeling, and it just kind of happened.
JVB: I remember being blown away by how proficient you were. You should be proud of that work. But tell me, is there any work you've done that you're embarrassed by?
JB: Umm... [laughs]
JVB: Oh, come on! What?
JB: Okay. When I was about 11, I did this 15- minute short that the filmmakers wanted to take around like a pilot and say, "This is our idea for a movie. Here's a quick taste." It was a musical that involved all the fairy tales, like "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Hansel and Gretel." But it was a bit off: I played Gretel, but my name was Regretel. And for some reason, I was painted blue. [Van Der Beek laughs] And all these slightly off fairy-tale characters were fighting each other. So what hap- pened was this little animated guy who looked like a calculator-his name was Diggy Digital- popped out of this boy's computer and saved the town. Then we all sang this song called "Digital World." [Van Der Beek laughs] That's not all! Afterwards, I went out to dinner with my parents, and I was like, "This is the best thing ever. I'm going to be a superstar!" [both laugh hysterically] Oh, God, I'm really going to regret saying this.

Dem Supporters Question Harris' Final Stretch Strategy
Tumblr media
With recent polling showing that Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are very much in a dogfight for the presidency, many Democrat supporters are questioning choices being made by the Harris campaign, The Hill reported Wednesday.
Although Trump continues to hold almost daily campaign events in crucial battleground states to shore up his base and appeal to undecideds, Harris opted not to hold rallies Tuesday and Wednesday and instead appear on highly controlled television interviews. The vice president has scheduled interviews with NBC News, Telemundo, and a CNN town hall event, The Hill reported.
Likewise, some other recent decisions have supporters scratching their heads. On Friday, Harris will visit deep red Texas, a state where she has just a 14% chance of winning, according to Decision Desk HQ/The Hill's prediction model.
The campaign has also drafted former and current Republicans who have staked their claim as "never-Trumpers." Yet their presence on the campaign has given some longtime Democrats reason to pause. Harris has enlisted the support of former Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and has been endorsed by her father, former Republican Vice President Dick Cheney.
"If someone would have told me that in 2024 we would be celebrating the endorsement of a war criminal like Dick Cheney by a Democratic nominee ..." Democrat Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud told The Hill. Hammoud, whose city is majority Arab American, added that Dick Cheney's endorsement "does not work in this community."
"When you arrive at the top of the ticket, what I endorse is that you vote your moral conscience," Hammoud said.
Incidentally, Hammoud's sentiment was shared by Trump, who posted Tuesday on Truth Social: "Lyin' Kamala has stooped so low as to pick a woman to campaign with her who lost her Congressional Race by the largest margin, 40%, in history. The record holder is Crazed Warhawk Liz Cheney, whose father, Dick, convinced Bush to go into the Middle East and KILL."
Still, other Democrats believe bringing in some dismayed Republicans can help with elusive undecided voters.
"The next two weeks is a needle in a haystack hunt for undecided voters," former Rep. Steve Israel , D-N.Y., who ran the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2011-2015, told The Hill. "The airwaves in battleground states are completely cluttered, so the Harris campaign has to use novel voter turnout innovations like untraditional campaign surrogates and media platforms, and micro-persuasion.
"Harris must make this a referendum on Trump and Trump has to make it a referendum on Harris. Whoever succeeds at that task, wins."

Unlocking the Secrets of Mobile Phone Detectors: A Peek into Covert Technology
Introduction:
In a world where connectivity is king and mobile phones are our constant companions, a silent guardian is working behind the scenes—meet the mobile phone detector. This unassuming device, often overlooked in the sea of gadgets, plays a crucial role in various covert operations. In this blog post, we'll explore the fascinating world of mobile phone detectors, shedding light on their purpose, working mechanism, and the intrigue they bring to the realm of technology.
I. The Covert Operative:
Imagine a device so discreet it slips under the radar, yet so powerful it can uncover hidden truths. That's the essence of the mobile phone detector. Unlike the flashy gadgets we often see in spy movies, these unobtrusive devices operate quietly in the background, detecting signals emitted by mobile phones within their vicinity.
Tumblr media
II. How it Works:
RF Signal Detection: At the heart of every mobile phone detector is the ability to catch whispers in the air—radio frequency (RF) signals emitted by mobile devices. Just as your favorite tunes travel through the airwaves to your radio, mobile phones constantly send out signals. The detector tunes in to these signals, allowing authorities to identify the presence of mobile devices.
Stealthy and Portable: Think of mobile phone detectors as the ninjas of the tech world. Compact and portable, they can be deployed in various situations without attracting attention. Their inconspicuous design ensures that the element of surprise remains firmly on their side.
III. Real-world Applications:
Keeping Prisons Secure: Mobile phone detectors are employed within prison walls to prevent inmates from using smuggled devices. By detecting unauthorized signals, these detectors contribute to maintaining order and security in correctional facilities.
Border Vigilance: At border crossings, mobile phone detectors help authorities identify individuals involved in illegal activities, such as smuggling and human trafficking. This covert technology acts as an extra layer of defense in securing borders.
Counter-terrorism Measures: In the fight against terrorism, mobile phone detectors prove invaluable. Security agencies use them to track and monitor communication networks of extremist groups, aiding in the prevention of potential threats.
IV. Ethical Considerations:
While the capabilities of mobile phone detectors are undeniably impressive, it's crucial to address ethical concerns. Striking a balance between the need for security and the preservation of individual privacy is an ongoing challenge. Governments must establish clear guidelines and oversight to ensure responsible use.
Tumblr media
V. The Unseen Guardian:
Mobile phone detectors may not bask in the limelight, but their role as silent protectors is undeniable. As technology continues to evolve, so too will the capabilities of these covert operatives. In a world where connectivity can be a double-edged sword, mobile phone detectors stand as a testament to our ability to innovate for the greater good.
Conclusion:
Next time you see a gadget that looks like it's just another piece of tech, take a second look—it might be a mobile phone detector, quietly ensuring the safety and security of our interconnected world. In the realm of covert technology, these devices embody the delicate dance between vigilance and privacy, offering a glimpse into the fascinating intersection of innovation and responsibility.

Vandex Hints at Leaving Russia
LOS ANGELES (OnlineColumnist.com), Nov. 25, 2022.--Western officials confirmed that Russia’s biggest outside tech firm, a kind of Google based in Amsterdam, is considering leaving Russia, more for business losses than a pure value judgment about the Ukraine War.  But with Western countries aligned against Russia, there’s pressure on international tech firms to join the boycott to push Russia from Ukraine’s borders.  Yandex N.V., called Russia’s Google, says its board is in preliminary review under the current circumstances of its business in Russia. Everyone piles on Russian for its Ukraine invasion, until Western countries play Tchaicovsky’s  “Nutcracker” incessantly on pre-Christmas airwaves.  Not one Western power has any perspective on why. 70-year-old President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine Feb. 24, nor do they want the reasons help Western countries understand Ruissia’s perspective on the Ukraine crisis.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will do everything possible to help Vandex be profitable in Russia, despite all the pressure from the U.S. and press to see Russia lose another valuable resource.  No one would to push Vandex to leave Russia more than the New York Times, whose one-sided support of Ukraine could lead to WW III or nuclear war on the European Continent.  Vandex’s Dutch-based board said it had “commenced a strategic process to review options to restructure the group’s ownership and governance in light of the current geopolitical environment,” said Yanex N.V.  Yandex considers creating some international divisions that could handle the Russian business while the Ukraine War rages on.  “This process is at a preliminary stage,” refuting a New York Time story that the company was on the verge of pulling out of Russia.  Vandex wants more access to Western markets.
Western governments and the press don’t want to admit that 80-year-old President Joe Biden pushed Putin to invade Ukraine by refusing to engage in security talks over Ukraine.  Biden kept supplying Kiev with unlimited cash and lethal weapons to fight a proxy war against the Russian Federation.  Putin told Biden and his 59-year-old Secretary of State Antony Blinken that if they continued to arm Ukraine, turn it into a U.S. puppet state on the Russian border, it would have no choice by to invade.  Washington and Kiev has pushed so many fake narratives that no Western power knows what to think  Zelensky says daily that Putin wants to ethnically cleanse the Ukrainian nation, the move on to take over all of Europe.  When the U.S. and Kiev spew rubbish like that, there’s no way to explain two sides of the conflict.  So far, Washington and Kiev just wants to keep fighting.
Russia tried to create its own software industry to accommodate it’s country’s tech needs.  But with the U.S. and Western powers so much more advanced in software development, Russia grew more reliant and Western tech firms. Since the Feb. 24 Ukraine War, Al Jazeera reports that thousands of IT workers have left Russia.  Russia’s economy, relying heavily on oil and natural gas sales, doesn’t rely as much on technology, capable to getting products to market without sophisticated software.  Yandex reported that since the Ukraine War, it’s market cap has lost $20 billion, more related to the months-long market meltdown, less to the Ukraine War.  Washington and Kiev push the narrative that Putin won’t be able to do business unless companies like Yandex continue doing business in Russia.  Narratives from Kiev and the Western press are often at odds with reality.
Washington and Kiev complain that Putin’s hell-bent on destroying what’s left of Ukraine’s electrical grid and water supply, not on seizing more Ukrainian land. So when Putin pivots out of given areas, like he did two weeks ago in Kherson, Kiev claims glorious victory, proving that it’s winning the war.  Yet announcements today about Putin continuing to strike Ukrainian cities with already abandoned indicates that the Kremlin strategy has changed from its land-grab phase.  Western press highlights Ukraine victories but Ukraine’s 44-year-old President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that Russia has taken out some 50% of Ukraine’s electrical grid.  If Zelensky wants the Russian air strikes to stop,  Zelensky needs to agree to ceasefire and peace talks. Zelensky says Putin has targeted Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure, something that’s the Kremlin’s strategy until Zelensky agrees to peace talks.
Whatever happens with Vandex in Russia, Western governments need to stop demonizaing Putin and figure out a way to end the Ukraine War.  Whether Vandex stays in Russia or not, Putin can still sell enough petroleum and natural gas to a variety of customers to keep the Russian economy going.  Biden could never get China and India to buy into the extreme sanctions, nor have several other countries stopped buypmg Russian energy products.  Western powers and the press want to believe that a boycott of tech companies would for the Kremlin to surrender.  Kiev wants promote any narrative that says that Russia’s committing genocide in Ukraine, seeking to take over all of Europe.  With a fake narrative like that, how are both parties supposed to get to the peace table?  If Biden and Zelensky want the destruction in Ukraine to stop, peace talks are the only way out.

elegy for a homeland [excerpt]
they had gathered on stage. the room would rise to meet them.
joey wreathed himself in the laurels of an orator.
his, he sculpted in coral.
- the servicemen of the colonial states from which we trace our heritage were legendary for their games of sadomasochistic communal projection.
the flag of our country unrolled. it shone with silken translucence in the light. you saw the colors. the colors you had always known. your heart and your cock -- you stirred and pulsed with the colors. for blood and for liberty. for community and plenty. you were of a people and a land. you were not alone -- when people believed in the land.
- during these days preceding the crystallization of the amazonian ascent -- which some now dubiously call the pre-second empire apostrophe -- for the purposes of siring as many offshoots from the tree of liberty, in order that they may shield the dampness of the forest floor, compulsory exclusive gynephilia was presumed to be the norm for high status males -- as bizarre as that may seem to our more nuanced and conservationist sensibilities.
(- fuckin disgusting's what it is, bro.)
joey would flash a tooth whenever he repressed a thought too foul for air -- too foul for our enlightened age. his head lilted back in the light, and he phased dreamy through the astrolabe of the microphone.
- the word phage which as we all know has come to denote a man of learning was thought during the period of the fraternity states to have been a corruption of that term these, our noble brothers of old, would apply to the projectees of their latent desire -- that word which we know well to induce a mania in our amateur historians -- dating to a time where, much like in our pre-academy years, larval scholars and larval warriors could intermingle well into adulthood -- that most cherished word…
brux's head stuck out from the stock.
he too wore the orals -- the velvet of juvenile antlers. encased in a sack of skin stitched and flayed from the dead, his arms he held against him -- priestly and wormlike, teeth unlatched far down the taper of his hairy ass. his briefs outlined against the skin -- wisps, unrootable as an insect's through the cotton.
- yes, mates. you see, in the old days, all the gents would love to suck cock and have their cocks sucked, except the few on the top for whom this wasn’t feasible. except, none of them could admit it! -- the covert brainwashing apparatus of the colonial states had become so entrenched by the time of the pre-amazonian era, it was taken to have been how'd it always been -- so they’d take the smallest one they could, or maybe one who kinda deserved it, and they would basically gang-rang him or play double-bind games and engage in all manner of methods to assert that this could in no way be them -- that it was better to be helpless. better to accept -- better to admit defeat than how much you craved contact with another man!
psychorrhax unspooled a golden thread. he adjusted him with spins clockwise and counter -- in and out of the orbit of his manipulation.
joey stood statuesque -- in the pause of a beckoning breath.
- in the spirit of fraternity, liberty and egalitarianism, we will now all nut on hux’s face, he who sincerely wishes it least, to celebrate how far we have come from these barbaric times!
brux hung from the ceiling. harnessed in the cross of his rope. his arms rose high behind his back. his legs parted, tied at the ankles, with his knees stretched wider to expose the smooth of his glutes -- the briefs you longed to rip away -- to defile him in the air.
clench your paw over his mouth. down on his blocky fissures. rip him down the middle -- cleaving him ink from skin, and skin from shriek -- as he would gleam red with sweat. clawed by switches.
- paint me like your baby’s new bedroom, boys!
/// )*( \\\
in your country, you kept to the old stories -- and the old stories reflected the truth of men, for men were small things, not like the earth which sprawled beneath you -- she who tethered you to her with soft force, keeping you far from the obliteration that would be eternity without her.
for the shape of man's mind was a constant through time, and the dreams he dreamed remained unchanged no matter how he changed the land. from ape to man to more than man, his leagues of comprehension spiked in bounds as sharp as the steps of pyramid temples -- and we saw in the grain of their harmonic mesh, the logic of concrete time.
(tell me what you wanna know --)
they had plunged them deep into the earth.
the meter of their vertiginous tethers -- those sinuous tethers. who coiled through open fissures into her.
(oh come on, oh come on, oh come on)
into her core, they plunged -- and she shook. by her currents, they took her -- and rode the heat which crested through her.
THESE GIFTS
I GIVE
TO THEE
now from her core, those tethers distended, and they shone like arcs of light within her -- brilliant as tendrils of the corona of the sun -- they shone for her, and they pierced her, and they ate of her -- and she let them, for she in her bounty knew them to be her sons.
OH GRACIOUS
LOA
our mother the earth bore beasts, and the beasts lie in splendor at her feet -- and she bore man, and man ate of the beasts, and man became a beast upon the land. for the beast -- who was woman first -- lay claim to man as man lay claim to land.
OH GENEROUS
LOA
now man had made himself lord of nature, and could freely curse the trees.
(there ain't no motive for this croime --)
now man had made himself equal of the sky, and could freely shift the plates.
the ants came -- you could see them from your branches. could see them gather round -- to fell the tallest first.
amphetamine-fueled where, at the consoles at which they fucked their secretaries, the machinery which man had made slipped through his fingers, and careered into ditches on the side of a road through the acceleration of a wormhole in spacetime we saw only as some familiar sight from a dream we had dreamed one dismal night and half-remembered one dismal day --
for the ants gathered around you with scores of silver teeth, and your branches spanned too high to fan them far, only shade them in their labors -- and with their teeth, they bit at your ankles and gnawed you to the fiber of your bones, to expose your invisible rings --
for the ants came crawling through your veins.
(i know my roights, i've been here all day)
the north african coast decimated the italic peninsula untold epochs ahead of schedule, closing up the mediterranean like a sore, and sweeping away the last of those once ageless things from which we traced the beginnings of our heritage -- and without them, all was confabulation, and what we knew we filled in without knowing we knew, and our past was translucent as heat ripples on a summer’s day in winter, and some nights we lay awake, dreaming of hypothermia on coasts when the warm seas too were houses.
for the seas would cup, and the seas would pour -- as doggerland rose out from beneath the waves. it crested its head as a great hound, and its back arched to receive the warmth of the sun. onto him, the ants would march, and from him the ants came marching.
now there was no wall between britannia and eurasia, only between eurasia and africa. we had dreamed what we never dared dream, the restoration of our lands to its whole -- the unity of east and west -- into a united gondwanian mainland.
(-- and it's toime)
for vivacious and bashful laurentia -- our sister above -- looked to our cousin eurasia, and coveted to be whole with him, as we coveted to be whole with you -- our brother whose skin shone black as soil, whose hand we struggled to grasp across our ever-widening gulf.
for laurentia, our sister who was our mother, was our cousin, too -- for from her did britannia seed the colonial states, as from her did iberia seed us -- and the colonial states breed us, too -- and from her came the fraternity states, and from us the sorority states, and we bred one another and were amazonia, the united north and south -- a tower to bring light to the frozen sun which chilled us with a bleak and acrid cold -- the eons we sat alone in the black ice looking to lights over mountains we knew to never see again.
though we were not whole when we were amazonia -- for in our hearts we yearned to be gondwana, for this was our way -- and the way we knew to bring light to the world. though for the price of our yearning, we were to become one and alone on our side of the world.
(she said she loved me)
-- for laurentia, weary without us, bore carvings across herself, and lay in cruel passivity to welcome any ravishment.
(but she had somewhere to go)
by their matrices, they bore into her -- promising to look, and to care for her -- and she did not stop them.
the shape of the mining algorithm, its unending nodes and ridges, sifting through her bowels -- seized her -- and her waters shook as though she had hands to seize her bedding.
(she couldn't scream)
from the crown of the alaskan coast and from the scepter of nunaat at the king's far end, to that bend which cupped the gulf of empires abandoned -- the lush steps of those stones which were of men and of gods -- where men once suffered to tie an umbilical across that cesarean of her unspoiled expanse -- her every fertile peak and valley -- every zone where her herdsmen lived -- the young and the old, the rich and the poor, the sick and the able -- their great metal cities which tore at the stratosphere, those marvels of engineering no man could make, for no man was bold enough to claim the sky -- their cities which sprawled across the dry beds where the lights once shone on walls, and they tended gardens first with silver, then squares of color and data -- their purple mountains magistrate, their vast and unconquerable prairies, their dead land, and their cactus land, where they channeled the force of water to dazzle desert nights with replicas of things which were, but never were, for reminiscence made illusions of them all -- the grey cities cloaked in smog, where the flares and toils of industry once burnt, and faded into the silence of a cold broil -- the bright cities they built on swamps which overlooked lakes, which flourished in their pomposities of wind -- and all the farms, and the foxholes of the wooded towns, and the men and women in their houses, and the children they kept, and the animals they pampered, and all their objects of metal and wood, so plentiful on that land which had given them so much -- the primeval pine rains which were older than men -- we bore down into her guts by the fury of our claws and teeth -- and we ate of her, the clockwork of our metal maws, tooth after razor tooth, rending bark from bite.
(when i held her close)
over these stones -- over the gouged and gyred land -- the pacific rushed to kiss the atlantic -- and the flatlanders clinging to their islands where they sprouted naught but filth kissed at the temples of their infant skulls and rose into heaven, for at last, they knew what they had always known -- what they repeated so often, and cheapened as often with their falsity -- that these laurentians, who called themselves amalricans, were all created equal.
(i swore i'd never)
for it was this land whose corps was our corps, whose boys were our green boys who fought for us since the war of the two georges --
and they could have never seen -- what they with their own eyes refused to see.
(let her go)
though you should have seen -- when the old hungers flared up.
a fasted gut -- ravenous to sicken itself --
will split on what it cannot stomach.
(AND THEN YOU WHISPER IN MY EYUGH)
these men, they called you their own.
they called to her, and they coaxed her.
how could they do to her --
(to their own --)
(I KNOW WHAT YER DOIN HEYUGH)
(-- their own country)
for she was for them to take --
for every beautiful face --
was as a banner billowing in the breeze.

Missed Opportunities In GLTAS Due To It’s Cancellation
Sinestro becoming an antagonist
Razer becoming a blue lantern
Razer and Aya’s reunion
John Stewart not appearing
Also a callback or follow-up joke regarding his name.
The possibility of Katma appearing as well due to her role in both John’s and Sinestro’s stories.
Sinestro gaining his yellow ring and forming the Sinestro Corps
The Sinestro Corps War
Parallax appearing and a potential possession episode/arc with Hal and all the fallout it could cause for both the character and Corps itself.
More appearances and information on Ion and the other entities as well. Especially with all the craziness that can come with their possessions/influences.
Predator appearing, with maybe a more PG appropriate name, and his crazy but well-meaning actions in regards to Carol and Hal’s love life/problems.
Ion and his connection with Aya getting explored more.
Possible appearance of Ophidian and callback to Orange Lantern Hal with the revelation that Ophidian can influence people by being near or touching its battery.
Since she appeared in a GLTAS related sketch, Arisia making an appearance- hopefully without the disturbing romance Hal this time.
In fact more of the alien GLs appearing; Sodam Yat, Leezle Pon, Isamot Kol, Varth Sarn, Boodika, G’Nort, and all the others.
Kyle appearing
Alan Scott and his kids appearing.
The Spectre appearing and the potential conflict and drama he could cause while possessing Hal. For one, Razer’s past actions did blow up a planet and killed at least one person, resulting with the spirit trying to kill the latter while bonded to Hal. This could lead to an interesting and terrifying situation for both parties involved.
The Interceptor crew coming to Earth and learning/dealing with all crazy Earth stuff including
Crazy and dangerous Earth supervillains such as Hammond and Black Hand with the latter making a reappearance for Blackest Night.
The existence of meta-humans and their confusion and reaction on how some humans could have superpowers and abilities while others don’t.
Interactions and reactions to some of super heroes including:
Batman: a man who dresses as a bat to scare criminals who have no bat-like abilities or powers. Maybe a one punch reference.
Superman: the shock that there is a living Kryptonian as well as another fellow survivor of a destroyed planet for Kilowog.
Flash: Hal’s best superhero friend on Earth surprising the crew with his super speed and getting into a debate/argument on who was the “bad” influence to Hal; Sinestro or Ollie.
Green Arrow: The crew meeting Ollie and learning that Hal is the more responsible/reasonable one compared to Ollie’s even more rebellious and anti-authority attitude.
Martian Manhunter- Kilowog and other alien GLs reacting negatively towards him and revealing that Martians and GLs don’t normally get along real well.
Just them learning how much of a crazy and danger prone planet Earth is in general.
Tom, Hal’s non-superpower bff, appearing
The Jordan family appearing and Hal’s complicated history and relationships with his family
Airwave III (Hal’s cousin) would’ve been interesting and funny as both are mask wearing superheroes and are both named Hal Jordan.
Blackest Night possibly as a season 3 or 4 arc.
Nekron and the Black Lanterns appearing
The science director becoming a villain and finally getting her undead blue butt kicked for all the stuff she did.
Evil Star and his starlings appearing with any one of his evil plans would make for a decent adaptation. Especially since one Blue Lantern’s backstory involves him which could lead to more Blue Lantern stories with Blue Lantern Razer getting involved as well.
Also his origin story involving him killing his race which could put him at odds with Kilowog
Indigo Tribe appearing and their creepy origins.
Simon Baz appearing- Seriously why hasn’t this man gotten an animated appearance yet?!
Krona reappearing as an antagonist either as an energy ghost or physical being and doing evil for science or vengeance.
More Guardian secrets and problems i.e. First Lantern, imprisoning Parallax in the Central Battery, and much more.
Alpha Lanterns and all the potential problems associated with them and the Guardians
More alternate universe traveling with Earth-2 and Earth-3 being must haves.
Hal encountering his evil counterpart Power Ring and a fight breaking out could eventually lead to…
Jessica Cruz appearing, preferably as Power Ring first then a GL.
The Controllers appearing along with their GL knock off group, the Dark Stars. If the writers and/or directors don’t want the Guardians to turn evil, then this group is perfect for “Guardians who gone too far with establishing order” plot point as they’re the ones who make powerful and dangerous weapons that could easily fall into the wrong hands when they’re not trying to copy the Guardians.
The Qwardians as well as the possible escalation that would culminate with them working with/for Sinestro.
More Larfleeze appearances and maybe have him learn he has a long distant relative in the form of G’Nort.
